After a few recommendations from friends I brought my Toyota Yaris to My Car Guy for some repairs. Over the last year I’ve found the entire team to be honest, relatable and to do a quality work. They explain what’s a safety issue and what’s just cosmetic, if a fix isn’t required they’ll be honest and let me know. I feel trust and gratitude when I work with they fellas.

They were very communicative and kind! Down charged me, thats right, DOWN charged me because I was lucky enough to have nothing needing to be fixed. They did not try to make anything up or up charge me. I even happen to be inside when one of the mechanics were talking to a woman, and they told her what lights meant and provided her with information that might mean she does not even need to bring her car in. They seemed to be thorough and really care about you and your car! 10/10

These guys got my car in same day and had it done before 5. It would have been 5 stars but unfortunately they are not wearing masks when interacting with customers. If they could adapt to that, it would be a perfect 5.

I LOVE these guys! Ladies, they will NOT talk down to you. They will fix what needs to be fixed. No surprises! They will look out for you! I took my car in asking for a check up and a new thermostat. He called me to tell me he couldnt in good conscience do what I wanted. Why? Because my car was about to fall apart irreparably and I needed a new one. He was right! He probably saved my life! So I got a newer car. But my family will continue to take our cars that need help here!

Took a vehicle we wanted to buy for an inspection, and they took the car back right away without an appointment. Trevor saved us from making a big mistake by pointing out serious frame issues on the car!! Thanks Car Guys!!

The older man was very nice, very knowledgeable, honest & very good pricing. The repairs were done relatively quick! :)The crazy messed up thing is I had taken it to the dealership.. not once, but twice! Guess who couldnt find a problem! I needed a power steering pump replaced. The one I purchased was defective, so the guys at My Car Guy in Ypsilanti bent over backwards to make sure I was satisfied. They put in extra hours to make sure everything worked. My cars power steering works great now. No complaints at all with these guys. Ill be sticking with their great service.

Very honest guys that go out of their way to help you out! Ive gone to them for a good four years now for every car problem Ive had and theyve always been very down to earth and knowledgeable about the fixes. They explain whats going on, and have it done in a timely matter. Its very easy to establish a great relationship with them, and now that they have their own tow truck too it makes it simpler to get your broken down car to their shop.

12 July 2016 - About time I leave this place a good review, its my familys go-to repair shop. A 2002 Toyota, 1993 Toyota, and a 1998 Buick. These guys are great. Friendly, fair prices, and good honest work, which seems rare nowadays, mechanic or not.Gotta love the know-it-all customers. Apparently you guys already have the answers, why are you going to a repair shop at all?! Guess what, I DID know what our Toyota needed going in and they quoted me exactly what I expected. Many shops wont allow you to supply parts because they cant verify they have not been compromised. Simple as that. I run a small business and ironically the know-it-all customers are almost always wrong. Go figure. Owning a repair shop must be tough dealing with you guys all the time.

These guys are amazing! I would never bring my Jeep to anyone else! Theyve done so many different things that I just didnt have the time or the tools to do that that theyre great price and theyll work with you! They deserved 6 out of 5 stars!I rarely ever do reviews... but these guys definitely deserve a shout out! Thanks so much for all you do, and Im sure all you will do!

I had my car towed here to get my alternator fixed and I feel like they took advantage of me because I’m a woman. After the alternator was repaired, my car took longer than usual to start for a few days, and then wouldn’t start at all at a very inconvenient time.I had it towed back to My Car Guy, and they told me the starter was broken. I had had no problems with the starter before taking it here previously, and my car was running completely fine. I asked if something could have happened when it was getting repaired and the man working there got super defensive and began lecturing me loudly about how cars don’t scream “I’m about to break” and how I should have “said something when I first picked it up”. I told him I was just disappointed they didn’t check to make sure my car was operating properly before returning it to me (that’s their job after all). He didn’t even offer me a discount to get the starter work done there (I had just dropped $500 there a few days prior...), but instead angrily told me to get my car towed off of “his lot”.I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The guys are really nice, very honest, and do good work.

Went to my car guy because my car kept stalling out and the power was shutting down. After keeping it for a day they couldn’t determine what the problem was. They couldn’t even rule anything out. I suggested the alternator and they couldn’t give me a definite yes or no. A few days later I took it to Oreillys and they were able to tell me in less than 5 minutes that my alternator was fine. Save your money and go elsewhere unless you’re looking for an $80 oil change. 🙄

Mainly giving this score because everytime ive gone its been annoying to have the mechanic condescendingly tell me about my cars problems as if i should be aware of every little leak and problem. Besides that theres been various incidents where they tell me one price after inspecting and then it jumps up acouple hundred during the repair.

Horrible experience. Lied to me and told me that I needed to go through him for a part because he got his from a better source... When it broke 3 months in I found out he got it from Murrys and charged me an extra $100.He was slow and rude on top of everything. NEVER GO HERE!

The owner broke my car when fixing an A/C issue then held my receipt hostage.Wouldnt give it to me unless I paid more money.Pawned off the explanation to his son.Wouldnt take any more cars to this place. Surprised its still open.

My car was done early and under budget! Bruce has more Honda certifications than the dealership around the corner, but doesnt charge dealership prices. Ill be bringing my CRV back when the time comes.
