First and foremost I want to say thank you to RICHARD PRICE our salesman for doing a remarkable job! He gave me and my husband the time we needed to make our choice when buying our new Kia Soul. The financial manager was amazing, he worked very hard to get us to the price point we needed to be. The staff was remarkable, everyone was so nice and the environment was very comfortable. They did not push us into buying anything and I truly feel they had our best interest in mind. I love my new Kia!! I π― recommend you go see Richard Price for your next vehicle.
Iβm not the customer here, so donβt reply with a generic βplease reach out to the manager that caused the problems in the first placeβ¦,β but this dealership seems to have notoriety for selling lemons, and not refunding or replacing until the last possible second.Youβve been holding onto a BRAND NEW purchased Kia Forte for nearly 3 weeks now, with no luck (or effort?????????) made in A.) fixing the issue, B.) securing a loaner car, C.) offering a refund or replacement vehicle.Today, you say βthe issue is a lot worse than we thought so it will take longerβThe Michigan Lemon Law exists for a reason, and this dealership exemplifies that reason.
AC and the rest of the staff were great in accommodating us although Im regretting not putting my foot down and coming back the next day to finish the deal...being at the dealer for 4 hours (til midnight) was excruciating! I wouldve given 5 stars if they were honest and told me up front how long it would take instead of being told every 1/2 hour almost done.
Its probably the worst experience Ive ever had dealing with a car dealership. My car is infested with something and of course theyre in denial about it I bought a used car there theyre trying to take care of it. And the whole time theyre saying they dont see anything even though I got videos and pictures. More or less playing it off like Im crazy. The transmission was bad when I bought it the brakes were bad when I bought it its a 2014 they fixed both of them they had it for 3 months and didnt work on it until after having it for 3 months and avoided my calls during that time. Once the general manager got his hands on it of course my car got fixed he handled it well but this whole infestation thing with my car he just doesnt want to deal with it seems. This car should not have been sold. PERIOD!!!!!!I WILL BE REACHING OUT FOR AN ATTORNEY

I bought a 2021 Kia Seltos S AWD over the weekend and could not have been happier with my experience. They were a bit shorthanded on staff but everyone did such an amazing job making sure that every customer was greeted immediately and attended to. For the product: the Kia Sorento, I give 5 stars and then some. For sales andservice, they are lacking. Sales promised things that never came with the car and service is rude at best (not all of course, but that was my experience). Maybe get a Kia, but get it elsewhere.

Bought a new car at this place, but it came with lots of issues. While driving, it overheated so much that it started flashing all the lights at once. I called them and they never helped, never sent service even though they said they would.When I took my car for maintenance they overcharged me, and have in general been the worst people to deal with.I revived a recall notice for the car engine because of a factory defect that made it overheat, they are βdealing with it.β Letβs see what they do.I do not recommend this place. Having bought a new cat I shouldnβt be having this many headaches in only 2 months of driving a brand new car.

The service department has been terrible. I took my car in last weekend because it wouldnt start (a 2017). They told me on Tuesday they needed to put a new engine in it. They have yet to give me a loaner car. When they said they would have a loaner ready for me before this weekend. They have also yet to give me an estimate of when the motor will be in or how long it will take for the install. I havent been asking for exact time just a time frame months, days, weeks. There has been little to no communication unless I call. I am very unhappy.

I contacted the dealership twice now. I was told by Devin the first time, he will get back to me for ordering a new 2022 telluride SX. I provided my name, phone number and email. Nothing after two days. I called back and talked to AC, who informed me that he will make sure someone will contact me back. Nothing. This to me is just unprofessional. As a customer, I am trying to buy a vehicle, but clearly you guys are not interested in selling me a car nor keep your own words to your customer. Total disappointment.
Had issues with my 2012 Kia Rio and, unfortunately, it meant needing to buy a different car. Staff did their best to meet my needs. Mariah offered me a loaner car before my car could be diagnosed. Gil, who sold us the car, was patient and promoted open communication, honesty, and a genuinely friendly disposition. He was also very considerate of our well-being while at the office working through the paperwork. Jay guided us through the financial process and helped us determine a coverage package that worked best for our needs.Today was a bitter sweet day, but we are glad to do business with LaFontaine and hope future experiences will be just as positive.Thank you for working with us!
When I first bought my car from LaFontaine Kia Ypsilanti I was quite happy with my purchase. Part of the deal was that I would get wheel and tire protection thrown in for free. Before I signed my name I pointed out that the tire and wheel paper appeared to be a bill. The finance person assured me that I would not be charged, that it was NOT a bill, and I signed my name.Three weeks later I was reading my bill and noticed that I had been charged $1,350 for wheel and tire protection. I called the dealership, sure that there had been a mistake. They let me know that they had never said it would be free, but rather that it would not change my overall monthly payment. This is simply not true. I would not have agreed to the wheel and tire protection had it not been included in my deal. I went back into the dealership and was told that while a refund was not possible, they dealership would be paying the amount of $1,350 towards my car payment.I submitted the refund paperwork about two weeks ago and recently logged into my car payment website. At this time no refund or payment on my behalf has been made to the car loan company. Should anything change I will update my review, but at this time I do not recommend this company to anyone. They are real snakes in the grass.

So to clarify I did not purchase a vehicle here and it has everything to with the experience I had.I got there, had an appointment with Mack but I was a little late. No big deal because it didnt even seem as though he knew I was coming. I would recommend salesmen who have their appointments set up through the BDC at least read whos coming in because it comes off significantly more professional. It was an appointment for appraisal and to compete with one I had previously had the day before at one of their competitors. The person who set my appointment was aware of this in fact she suggested it.Well I get there and talk with him and inform him Im there to sell my vehicle and get into a Niro Hybrid Plug-In if they had any available. His initial reaction and statement, You know those are expensive right? Um yes I know that I researched the vehicle which is why I wanted it. Over the course of our time together while he looked for the vehicle that I wanted and tried to diminish the worth of my vehicle in a hot market for used cars by telling me, no ones gonna wanna pay that for a used car I got rather annoyed waiting on them to even come out and appraise my car to give me a competitive offer. He just continued to reiterate, thats expensive thats pricey which again I already knew it cost more than the vehicle I was currently driving. I even explained to him that I was driving my current vehicle because of work but I no longer had the job I previously leased it for. Then he got confused about the 3 levels of Niro they offered and asked me to confirm about 10 times which one I was looking for. The hybrid, the plug-in hybrid or the EV. At this point its apparent hes not actually listening to me.I was about to leave when the sales manager came out and asked if they could get me into a vehicle today and that he would completely handle my pay off. The sales manager was great, I could tell that when I was talking he was listening, very nice guy but very straight forward as obviously this is business. After he gave me verbal confirmation he would pay off the vehicle and he actually seemed to know what the incentives currently were which wouldve sweetened the deal I decided, as I usually do to take the day and just think it over. I was ready to pull the trigger but I just couldnt let it go that the salesman was just not helpful whatsoever and seemed more concerned with the money and not my experience. What he didnt know was that I have good credit and this wouldve been my 3rd vehicle direct through KMFUSA, tier 1 credit essentially and generally my time at the dealership is no longer than an hour getting all the contracts signed and what not. I dont know if he was making an assumption because I was in basketball shorts or if hes always that abrasive but whatever the case he chased away a deal. I worked on car lots for 5 years and I know the process. He tried to run game on the wrong one.

Nearly brand new Kia bought, died not even a week into driving and now 2 weeks into sitting at the dealership still hasnβt even been looked at? Are there staffing issues or a lack of care?

He and his team was able to get me financed when no other dealership could. Keep in mind I tried about 7 of them. U would definitely recommend my friends, family and associates to shop here!
AC provided us with one of the worst experiences ever.We will never work with LaFontaine again.The car was dirty and had no gas for our appointment test drive.When we drove from Mt. Clemens to Ann Arbor to pick up the car at our appointment time the car was not ready and we had to wait for 2 hours for them to clean the car. Then after finally getting the car, the car was still dirty inside. Crumbs everywhere.With the industry having options to purchase cars online, I now understand why.
They make appointments with you and then dont show up.

Ive had 2 Kia Optimas, and absolutely love the car. Ive had them regularly serviced at the Kia dealer on Jackson Road in Ann Arbor and have been happy. When I recently received a recall for a potential ABS issue, I had to take my car to Kia in Ypsilanti. It got an oil change, and was checked for the ABS issue and was fine.When I got my car back, my windshield washers didnt work. I stopped in to the dealership and spoke to Andre Jackson to ask him if the repair and my windshield washers not working could possibly be related. He said an emphatic no, that the ABS part was near the battery. I ashed if he could take a quick look and he said no, because quick looks always turn in to long looks (which I understand). He said I would need to make a service appointment.I asked my husband to take a look before I took it in for an appointment. He found that a plastic housing just under the hood had been removed, and when replaced the hose to the washers had been disconnected and smashed. He reconnected it and all works fine.I called Andrew at the Kia dealership this morning to let him know what happened. He insisted that they did nothing on that area of the car. When I told him that I wasnt happy and didnt plan to be back, his response was no problem.On his business card, it says, Its not just what you get. Its how you feel! I can tell you that this didnt feel too good. I would expect an apology, not a dismissal. I wont be back.

I went to the Kia dealership for the first time for service. The service attendant (Andrew) and my service was excellent. Waiting inside of the building for service was unacceptable. The salesmen were not wearing masks - and after the 4th person walked past me without a mask I left to walk outside. They have the notices on the door that masks are required for entrance, but clearly the sales staff does not believe that is in reference to them. The service technicians and support people were wearing masks. (which I much appreciated in this time of Covid)
I had the most amazing auto-buying experience here. From the moment I pulled up, before I even parked, I was given a very warm welcome from Jay. After being greeted and introducing ourselves, he listening to me very carefully about my situation and what I was looking for in a new vehicle before pairing me with Aaron. Aaron was such an amazing salesman, he couldβve sold me bottled air! I loved how Aaron took time going over every little detail of each car I took a look at, and what I particularly appreciate the most was that he went over driver safety and informed me of how the vehicle not only has front-impact airbags but both side impact airbags and overhead airbags as well. As someone who was hit from behind by a drunk driver before, I felt so so so so so very happy to know that Aaron actually really was listening to me and went out of his way to go the extra mile to talk about the vehicles airbags and other safety features. My time there didnβt feel overwhelming or pressuring like at most dealerships, everyone was so friendly and attentive. We went to another location and were treated terrible, got into contact with LaFontaine Kia in Ann Arbor and it was a completely different experience. Omar Hazimi went above and beyond to make sure that I was taken care of and my whole family was. Instead of just getting me into a safer car he got my sister and mom into a brand new car also. The environment was clean, not too noisy. Everyone was so welcoming and made this process a lot less stressful. I just want to say thank you to everyone who helped me in this, it might not have been a big deal to others but it meant a lot to be treated like family.

Had a bad experience at a different dealership called this location and they completely turned the experience around. Omar Hazimi was so understanding and caring about us as a family that we ended up buying 3 new cars from him. We feel like weβre part of a family here with how everyone treated us but truly feel Omar went above and beyond to ensure that we had an awesome car buying experience. My son was looking for a car and walked into this dealership one morning last week and was greeted by Ray Diab. My son had a certain price point he was working with and Ray worked with him. Not only were they willing to meet him at his price point, but they had the exact car he wanted. The car is beautiful and we couldnβt believe all of the extras that came with it. We were also able to turn in his current lease at this dealer (because LaFontaine also sells other car brands) saving us a second trip to another dealership. The customer service was top notch and I recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a nice car, for a great price, and with state of the art customer service! Ask for Ray!!We will be back!
After weeks of car searching I thought this was it for me! Title in hand on my trade in. Finance approval letter with the bank of my choice. Insurance quote done. Ready to purchase. Before coming in, I emailed Stephanie to make sure the car was still available. Sent the link of the exact car I wanted. (priced a little under 15k with Kias Customer Cash + military discount.) My email states although I am not in the military, Do you guys offer anyΒ discounts for front line workers. She replied yes. The sales guy initially told me there is no such discount and the sticker price is the actual price. I told him I spoke with Stephanie regarding the discount so he goes to inform his boss. Comes back and saysΒ they called Stephanie and she didnt know about any front line discount. (Red flag!)Β I showed him the listing on their website as well as the email exchange with Stephanie regarding the discount. He literally took my phone with him to show his boss!! He was still pushing for the sticker price but asked me where I wanted my monthly payment to be and if I wanted my credit checked for a new financing option. I told him Ive already had a few inquiries, wasnt looking to get anymore on my credit. He asked what I was looking to get for my trade in. I said 2 to 2500k.Β We all laughed! He told me he didnt think I would get that much for it because of the miles + age but he would let his manager know. Cool, thats fine. I told him I was willing to pay whatever the difference was between the discount + my trade in, in cash ! He goes back to talk to his manager. His boss Gabriel then comes out. This is where things went left. He asks about financing AGAIN but this time the entire 16k sticker price and with nothing out ofΒ pocket. Not interested. He mentions he can offer 300-500 for my trade in. I told him Ralph Thayer dealership had already offered us 1000 for it. Hes going a mile a minute about how old the car is, whats wrong with it, auctions, and why they may have gave me that price. Then inserts well did they offer a front line discount. Why does it matter if Im in your office?Β He was very aggressive and half way insulting. It was crazy and uncomfortable! He wanted to go back and forth about another dealership with sarcastic jabs. I should have ended the conversation with them once I kept being questioned about what Stephanie told me as if I was lying but I was really hoping to make a deal today. I am still in disbelief about the entire ordeal. Sales guy A.C did reach out to me but glossed over the issue at hand which is the poor customer service we received today.

Not these gentlemen - they treated me and my husband (Wes) like family and made sure to get us our bang for our bucks. I purchased the Sportage Nite Fall edition 2021. Jay and Gil treated us so well that they got my husband out of his old Dodge Ram and into a bells and whistles Sorento 2020.
