I went in for an oil change and inspection and it was an amazing experience. The manager was punctual and well organized. I got the car back in fine condition. Ill definitely come back for any of my vehicle needs. Albin, the manager, was a great help during the entire process! I recommend them for anyone that needs any service done!

Guy on the phones were helpful and nice they get a 5 star review just for them but....but technicians must eat crayons and drink glue for lunch, noted and asked for tire directions to be fixed and to keep my old tires..... didnt happen. I had to personally go look for my old tires and only have 1 outta 2 and after being told 3 times my tires were on right I had to physically show them their mistakes never going back after I retrieve my missing tire my lawyer is on standby

I came into this pep boys needing an inspection and my horn fixed. It took longer than I was told it would, but When it was completed, I picked it up and made sure the horn worked before leaving. Because I had to wait so long, the store manager took off a huge portion of the bill. Unfortunately The horn stopped working the next day and I called to see when I could bring it back in to be fixed again. I brought it back in shortly after that and they fully fixed the horn and now everything is working well. I am giving five stars because the manager really worked with me. They are short-staffed like every other business, so I would make sure to ask for an estimate of how long theyneed to make the repair/inspection before dropping it off.

Avoid the Bensalem store. Cant keep appointments and will not over any help trying to go someplace else.The Willow Grove store on the other hand was great. Was able to squeeze me in and got the work done.

I was here to get my car inspected, which was expired. I walked in to get my service done. Even if it was busy, the manager, Albin helped me to get my inspection. The staff was really friendly and welcoming. Would recommend this place to my friends and family in the future.

Sadly, this store is in the process of closing. Apparently the opening of the Auto Zone a few doors away was more competition than they figured.Although everything in the store is 50 percent off the best of the merchandise is gone. This closing is sad in that I have been a loyal customer for 40 years. Price, selection, and service were the trifecta that drew me in and kept me as a customer.

Honestly the staff there is very helpful when it comes to finding the proper parts on the shelves for your vehicle. But when it comes to taking your car there...dont. They overcharge and I specifically told them what the problem was for my car because Im a little knowledgeable in the electrical aspect. Yet they still charged me for an all start diagnostic of 100 dollars and the issue was exactly what I told them it was..never bringing my vehicle to them again

Worst experience ever I have a Chevy equinox they did inspection and oil change..short story the car wasn’t running like before I brought it to them they forgot to put oil on my car, apparently the mechanic with 20 years of experience is not that great. I called the manager to get an answer and he did even know what to say, I’m on the process of sue them ..I’m just sharing my story, thanks.

Took my car for new tires & it was done for at least 2 hours & no one called me when they said they would. Also they said that they would put my spare & the best tire of the old set in the trunk so Id have it but when I looked in the trunk it wasnt there. John helped get everything straightened out & personally put the spare & extra tire in the trunk for me which I greatly appreciated. John gets 5 stars for his help but for the store Im giving it a 2 because the service & tires side needs better communication

Took it for an oil change..they claimed that the oil plug was stuck on and I quote looks like somone welded it on..then proceeded to quote me 300 labor just to replace the oil pan alone...just took it to my local guy instead..they replaced the oil plug and oil change for 70 bucks...without much of a problem getting the plug off as pep boys claimed..that tells you all you need to know about this place!

If I could leave a zero stat review I would. I dropped my truck off today for an 8am appointment to get new spark plugs it was dropped at 7:40. Was called at 8:30 to make sure it was a spark plug replacement for a silverado. I appreciated that. 3pm rolled around and no one called me so I called the store. Was told they just got the parts and it was being worked on. I had to called 4 more times to find out what was happening to my truck. No one was sincere with their apologies. I was also told that I did a early drop off no appointment but I had one . Finally at 5:12 I called and it was finished. I got a discount which was pepboys taking off their warranty. Didnt ask me if I wanted it off because I would have rather had the warranty

Nice and helpful staff. The front registers are closed so you have to go the parts counter to checkout. Would be nice if they put a sign up to tell you. I stood there for like 15 minutes before I noticed people getting in another line to pay.

Came here a year ago for a simple oil change and the guy says I have damage to my oil cap and does not want to risk doing the oil change because he doesnt want to damage it further. So they gave me my keys back and said they couldnt do the oil change. Then I took my car to another shop and they said there was nothing wrong with my oil cap. This place couldnt do a simple oil change. Like come on man thats just sad. Wasted my time and gas money. Please hire people who can do basic oil changes. Pretty scary that a mechanic couldnt do that for me. Be careful of this place!!

With all of the negative reviews Ive been reading about car battery warranty with PepBoy, I called this Pepboy store ready to do battle regarding a dead battery that is still under warranty. However, I have to say I was pleasantly surprise with the response from a young lady name Reyna(not sure the exact spelling of her name), she was really pleasant to work with; she looked up the my old battery and told me PepBoy no longer carries Bosch, I thought, well I guess I am out of luck on warranty replacement, to my amazement, she was kind enough to offer a equivalent Champion brand battery as a replacement. Wow! All the argument I prepared for was not needed, I am a bit speechless. And I have to say the staff at the store (Cindy and the gentleman) were also very helpful! Keep up the good work guys!

I made an appointment Friday afternoon for Monday morning at 9am for my state inspection. I informed the clerk that I would be waiting for my vehicle. I got to my appointment at 850am. After waiting in line I was finally able to give my keys to the associate. I sat in the waiting room for 2 hours until I finally got up to ask about my car. The clerk told me that it would be another 1-2 hours for my car to be inspected because the car before me had failed and they were working on fixing it. I said I was told I was the first appointment so why wouldn’t they do mine first? The associate (same person who made my original appointment) said that I told him I was dropping off so that’s why I wasn’t priority. I said I never said that and I know for a fact I didn’t because I have no other source of transportation. He said I definitely did say drop off because he’s really good at setting the appointments and wouldn’t make that mistake. I told him again that I 100% did not say drop off. He then tells me I’m just going to have to wait. Because I got up, I lost my seat in the waiting room and had to wait the next 2.5 hours outside, on the curb, in the rain. Finally after 4.5 hours they call me in only to tell me my car failed because something about the function of my breaks. I was appalled since I bought my car less than a year ago. I told them to just ring me out and that I’m taking it to the Jeep dealership. Well, I went to that Jeep dealership today and they told me that my car 100% passed and that there was no reason it should have failed to begin with. I have the paperwork to prove it. I am disgusted with this experience.

I had a horrible experience here! They will NEVER get a dime from myself or any other family member. About 8 days ago I spent over $250 dollars getting my bulbs in the front of the car replaced. I noticed that one of the lights were out and that the headlight was not placed back in correctly. I called to schedule an appointment for this to be taken care of. When I arrived to my appointment, I was told that I did not have an appointment and that I could leave my car there all day or come back some other time. I then asked for a refund for the bulb and was told it doesnt work like that. I asked the guy who was going back and forth with me if I could speak to the manager. He said was the manager. I will be placing calls to complain because this kind of service is unacceptable. I have heard so many negative things about this Pepboys, but decided to give them a try anyway. To top it off, the manager whistled happily and said have a nice day as I angrily left the store. Im so disgusted!

Terrible customer service. I schedule an appointment to drop my car off for a simple flat tire; dropped my car off at 1 pm and walked 20 mins back to work. Walked back after work at 6 pm only to find that my car was in the same spot I left it in..they hadnt even looked at it. They told me I can bring it back the next day..I will never go back to this location!

I went in to get my battery changed. While waiting I purchased wiper blades and went to the waiting room with them. The service manager saw me with them and offered to install them on my car free of charge. That was pretty nice of him. Although the staff was nice the place seemed pretty dirty. I saw some dead bugs just hanging out and the check out computers seemed pretty slow charging my card. No major complaints here though and i was out of there in 40 mins.

Olga Dejesus was such a pleasure. She was very patient and helped me look at different tire options for my car. She then was super helpful to find the correct breaks for my sport package. She came out to my car to ensure we hit three right measurements and heat rating. Im so glad she was so knowledgeable on tire and break selection. She also helped me find my lock nut in my car. So so patient and helpful. I will totally go back to see Olga for cat help at pep boys.

Never, ever, ever, ever going to this Pep Boys again. My wife had four new tires put on her car less than a month ago, and when one tire went flat and had to be replaced, had to order a replacement from this place as tire rack didnt have her replacement in stock. I took the car in when the replacement arrived and after waiting an hour and a half to get 1 tire put on, apparently someone forgot to close out my vehicle to be returned to me, I come outside to see they ordered the wrong tire. After letting the mechanic at the register know the situation, he said it was no problem and it should be fine. Why he doesnt understand that having uniform traction at all four corners of the car is important must not be something taught to these trained professionals. Later after reviewing the order and seeing they had our address wrong and my wife wrote down the exact tire on a post-it when she ordered it, I can do nothing but avoid this place like the plague. Id advise you to do the same.

Bad service here called this morning for no start issue on my van told them its being towed when i called to tell them the van is loaded on toe truck and it left ten minutes ago the stated they do not do no start issues now i am left with a van on a flat bed that has to go elsewhere should have said they do not do cranking problems i would not have wasted time and money very poor service here

Made an appointment yesterday for a battery replacement today, appointment time was 8:00 AM. Arrived at 7:45, discussed what I needed, turned over the keys, and was asked when Id return to pick it up. Told them that I was waiting for it, just like it said on the appointment form that I filled out. Was then informed that the car wouldnt even be started on for at least an hour. WHAT?? So what good was an 8:00 appointment? Answer: thats the time that you have reserved to meet the service writer. Poor business practice at best.

Ive never really had an issue here (knock on wood) i needed a new battery for my car, found one, it was a good cost and i installed it myself. took my old battery back for a $20 credityes, if you call them you will probably be on hold for a while and yes it does take them some time to complete simple work on your car.im currently getting my state inspection done, dropped my car off at 9 am this morning w/ an appointment and i genuinely dont expect to hear back form them until later this evening. i think you gotta be productive in your day even without your car, not wait there all morning/day expecting them to get things done fast.i think they are knowledgeable and dont BS you like i have noticed with other places. but time management and being courteous to customers by updating them on their vehicle would be lovely

Really bad service from this place!I had an appointment for 2pm so I dropped off my car at 1:30pm. 6pm came and still no call from them, so I decided to do a follow up call. When I called, the guy on the phone said there was no such car in there. He had to check three times and with different people until he found out that it wasn’t entered in their system. They only worked on my car 4 hours after my appointment and only because I called.The guy who helped me in the evening, Tyler, was nice though. It was a different guy who received my car in the afternoon and he was not great with customers.

The people are very nice and its consistently the same people they gave me a big discount on a part today that they ordered even though the guy hadnt even met me before. Definitely a place worth going to. I gave them four stars because I had some issues with a power steering pump a few months back where the first one that got was defective and they couldnt put it in and the second one they put in was still leaking but since then its been fine during that whole thing they had been very understanding and apologetic and very much willing to work with me and deal with my frustration. They will give it to you straight they dont beat around the bush like some places.

Made a 9 AM appointment for a oil change. I was the first in the store and had to wait 1.5 hours for it to be completed. At 10:30 AM, I went to the desk to ask how much longer, and they checked the complete bin and it was done. Once it was completed, why couldnt you inform the customer?!I asked for air in my tires since I had a low tire light. When I got in my car to leave, the light was still on. I drove it all day and the light never went off meaning air was never placed in the tire. (I eventually put air in my tire, and the light went off). How can you work in a garage and return a car with a warning light on?!Finally, I got a call about 45 minutes after I left from my appointment, saying the mechanic left somebodys keys in my car. I found them and had to drive 20 minutes back to return them. All around very poor experience.

Will never come here again. I came in to get an oil change done. After waiting for 5 minutes for the service manager to even start talking to me about what I wanted, she proceeded to take a personal phone call while talking to me. This made the whole experience of setting up the oil change take about 20 min. After that she asked if I would be waiting. I said yes and proceeded to wait over two hours and 30 min for a 15 min oil change. This is just despicable. I understand other people have appointments but an oil change should be in and out between appointments. I can change my own oil 4 times over just during the time I waited and I would have if it wasn’t a company vehicle that I must take to a shop. Just horrible service.

Took my Van in to have the battery tested. They claimed it was good and just needed to be cleaned so I had them do that. Next day the Van died yet again, stranding my wife so I took it to the dealership (which I should have done the first time) and they said the battery failed right away.I made an appointment online but that was meaningless since I sat in Pep Boys for over 2hrs to just get the battery tested.Maybe they need to update their equipment or something.

He helped me find what I was looking for and, because he noticed that I was looking online for reference, he gave me an online discount. Service was slow, but probably because the staff was so little. They have so many service bays but the night I was there they had like two people on duty. Granted they were super nice but they either need a better system or just hire more people. Had to sit forever for my car to be worked on. Which in the end they couldnt help with (broken oil dipstick). I looked on YouTube, they couldnt use the screw method to get it out or the air pressure method. The next mechanic said they really messed it up.

I put the car in for inspection at 11am. At 3:00 pm they tell me it needed a return for the signal stalk and a suspension coil. I tell them I want the car back because I cant wait four hours just for an inspection. She says shell put the emissions sticker on and get me the car back. 4:15, she says theyre putting the wheels back on. I might not be in the business but an inspection doesnt take that long and it shouldnt take hours to give me my keys back. Finally got the car at 4:20. Absolute waste of time.

Visited the Willow Grove branch this evening to purchase brakes. At check out where the kiosks ask if you’re a member the CSR #403130 turns the screen around and presses no before I finished reading the screen. He assumed I wasn’t an awards member and that made me highly upset. I called earlier in the day to ask if they had log of my purchase for brakes less than 4 months ago and the rep said there’s nothing in the system and I shop here at least 3 times a year for my annual car repairs. This could be why my past purchase weren’t listed. Because of bad customer care like this. He should have asked and he shouldn’t have assumed. Pep Boys, please ask your staff to slow down! Stop rushing and taking advantage of customers who appear (stereotypically) not to be members or know about their car care. Always ask and treat every customer the same.

Terrible customer service. Went in twice to get the oil changed, and both times, we waited over 2 hours because of delays. The second time we went, we made an appointment the previous day and the employee guaranteed that we wouldn’t have to wait the next day for our appointment. We ended up having to. When we came back to pay for the service, the person in front of us was taking over 30 min to get her coupons confirmed and the employee did not even try to do his job properly. We kept waiting even though other employees were just lounging around. Do we have to wait that long to even pay? No apologies; did not even try to speed up the line. Why does the customer have to be the friendly one and try to align with the employees’ moods?

I have used Pep Boys in the past, and they are very good in a pinch. However, this experience could not have been worse. I brought my truck in for an oil change, lube, filter, and tire rotation because my service contract allows me to us Pep Boys to maintain my warranty. The representative told me it would be an hour to an hour and a half, but my truck didnt move for two hours. I will update this when i actually get it back. This behavior says that Pep Boys is more interested in paying customers instead of honoring it contract agreements and the customers that purchase them. I would expect more; going to the dealership next time. No thanks pep boys!

My car wouldnt start, and I checked the battery and it was fine. I had to tow it to this shop. I bought a new starter from autozone, thinking that that was the problem. However the guys from the shop called me and said that the issue was only in loose wire which they fixed. I was surprised and happy they didnt go ahead and changed the starter and asked for that an arm and a leg. Thank you for being honest and professional, guys. You rock. I will definitely recommend you.

Normally it is a great experience going there, but I guess on Sundays the C team is at work. Whats the point of having an appointment for an inspection and you arrive 15 minutes early and you end up leaving 4 hours later. Then to add insult to injury, we are told that if we take the car with us and not let them do the repairs, we would have to go through inspection all over again. I get once the repairs are complete they would have to check the work but to state we would have to do a brand new inspection is a little over the top. If this was Grade School and I was giving out marks from A to F, these guys would get a Q.

Had appointment at 1pm for simple mounting of ONE tire. There was only one other person in the waiting room. Not exactly busy. Every time the door to the car bay opened I looked in to see my car up on the lift with one tire off the car and no mechanics even looking at it. It wasnt until 3pm, 2 hours later that they finished mounting one tire. They offered no apology and I will never go to pep boys again.

They do good work, theyve always been honest and fair. Their service writers are not always the most friendly, and sometimes the waits are long.I wrote my original review (above) 4 years ago. It is worth noting, that while all of that remains true, they now no longer have a retail section. As of now, they only do tires and repairs/service, you can no longer buy parts or accessories.

Took my car in for inspection, get a call that it failed the road test for a bad brake vibration, there is no vibration at all, when i call the service manger and leave a message for her to call me so we can talk about this i get no call back at all. Used to take all of my cars to there never again.Update: Took the car to another place for State Inspection and it passed with no problem. Looks like Pep Boys was just trying to rip me off for $800.00 for brakes and rotors not needed. I was also told that somebody from Sr. Management would be reaching out to be after my first review, guess what never happened. I will be reaching out to the state about this.I CANT TELL YOU ENOUGH TO STAY AWAY FROM Pep Boys for service, they might be good for parts but that is about all.

Had a 9 am appointment for a problem caused by the wrong temp thermostat they installed in January, which caused my engine light to come on. I pulled up the error code myself, and knew a malfunctioning thermostat was the cause prior to me going to my appointment.They diagnosed the problem, and apparently found my diagnosis was correct. However, even with an appointment, I waiting over 7 hours to just have a thermostat replaced! Also, I was told by the Asst Mgr when I came in, there would be a $108 diagnostic charge. But, I wouldnt be charged if the problem was the thermostat they had installed.Well, I wasnt charged. But, during my entire 7+ hour wait, I was never told any status on their diagnostic test on the purpose I brought my vehicle in! However, I was told about a complimentary vehicle check, and several things they recommended needing service! I did agree to one thing, the brake light replacement.After my 7+ hour wait, I was told my vehicle was done, mind you I was never told the problem was what I had assessed it to be before 9 am that morning!I came to the store the day before, but it was early afternoon and I was told they had 3 diagnostic orders in front of me. So, I made the appointment for 9 am the next morning. Well, what is the point of making appointments, when despite my being the 1st one there, I had to wait almost 8 hours to have my vehicle done? I needed a mechanic on a Sunday. One of my shields had become disconnected and was dragging on the ground. Stopped in without an appointment. They are open to 6 pm on a Sunday. Understandably, there were plenty of people before me, but they agreed to look at my car when the could get to it. They fixed the problem with some clips and sent me on my way at no charge. Wow. That doesnt happen often. I am grateful to them for being there and being so kind.

Had an appointment for my inspection at 1pm. I dropped the car off at 11. 4 pm I called asking about it and was told it was almost done. They finally called at 4:30 saying it failed as it was leaking a fluid but the emissions passed. It was under warranty so I went in to pick it up. I have been here for 45 minutes waiting for the to put on 1 sticker. So to recap my inspection appointment was for 1. Was told at 4:30 it failed. It is now 6 and I still dont have my car. Stay away from this place.

This store is the closest to my house which makes it convenient but the staff there seem to be bothered when you ask for help like the guy on my last visit who I had to interrupt his game on his phone to look up a part, I was told they didnt have but I found it 10 ft away from where he was standing playi.g his game. Large store, helpful staff. They have large store with large selection of products. Staff were knowledgeable and helpful at the visit. Little hard to see when youre driving up until you get fairly lose to the turn in.

These guys have been consistently good to me when I take my vehicles there for PA inspections. I have gotten my vehicle back when it was promised Everytime so far. I just got four new tires from Pep Boys on my station wagon and it rides like a dream now. I shopped around for a decent tire at a low price and they had them in stock and put them on fast. The mechanic who performed work on my car was present when I paid and Im sure he did the best job. I used to work as a mechanic so I am particular about service and these guys do it well.

Very bad at time management.my appointment was at 10 am on Saturday for oil change. I am on time and they said it will be done in 45 mins to 1 hr since there is one more appointment at the same time who is in there before me. after 1.5 hrs it is still not done. Since I have other plans I had to leave with out oil change and took the appointment the following day at 9 AM. I am the first person there at 9 AM. but the workers are not available till 9.30 AM. and took another 1 hr to complete. wasted more than 3 hrs in total for an oil change.

Changed my review to a 1 star because I dropped my car off today 9/25/20 for a inspection at 11 am and my car still isnt ready to be picked up. Its 5 pm. Thats absolutely ridiculous 🙄. Will not use pep boys for anything else in the future.

The estimate for the work on my truck was out of line with others. As I was given the estimate his thumb was covering the real cost to repair my vehicle visible to me was only the tax on the job which seemed to be about right. Upon closer examination of the bill I realized the actual number was far more than I was willing to spend.
