Bought a almost new hellcat with 16k miles. Radio was broke from the get go and I called it out before I even test drove the car with reg the salesman. Dealership stated the radio would get fixed without me having to pay any out of pocket. Boy was I wrong. Worst experience with a dealership yet. Thanks for selling me a 80k dollar car with a radio I can’t even use. Won’t be buying any more cars here again.

I would be VERY cautious with this place. My husband bought a pickup from this dealership. It was a new DIESEL pickup. THEY filled it with GAS and sent him on his way. He immediately realized something was wrong and stopped to not cause damage to the vehicle. They “fixed”it. We now know they also put DIESEL in the Def tank. Which has ruined the sensors. An over $3000 repair. And they won’t stand behind fixing it. They say it is our problem. So I would say go ANYWHERE ELSE!!! Red Neck and the bunch are not trust worthy in my opinion.

I had a terrible experience at this dealership. I went in looking for a vehicle 3 different times looking to purchase a new vehicle. Each time I went into the dealership the sales team and the finance team treated me terribly. They continued to tell me I was not serious enough for their time and consideration. The sales team and the finance manager would not even give me numbers for the dealership because they did not believe I was serious enough for their time. But they had time to sit there for two hours and make me feel small and talk down to me as I did not know what I was doing. I was even told I should be billing customers for our time and I can sell this car to anyone. This dealership did not treat me like they wanted my business. I was fully prepared to purchase a vehicle that day, but the way they talked to me, and made me feel turned me away. I understand the market is not the best right now but that does not give this dealership the right to treat customers the way they treated me. I loved the car, but the way this dealership handled the situation was very unprofessional and not civil.

By far a shady dealer. Multiple times they have broke stuff on my vehicle and didnt tell me. I find it a few days later. Go to call them and let them know. They offer to come get my vehicle to only break more stuff then try saying it wasnt like that when they had it even though they were the only incompetent ones that serviced it. Sure make tons of money on screwing up customers vehicles. Buyers beware go elsewhere. They dont even return phone calls.

Came in to look at buying a truck. Stood on the lot for almost an hour before having to go inside to get the sales staff up off their butts to do a test drive. Picked a truck test drove it and sat down with the salesman to talk numbers. Was told there was no wiggle room in the price and when I said I wanted to do cash and made an offer. I was pretty much laughed off the sales floor and was told that he preferred financing because there was more money in it. Very poor experience. I will be taking my cash elsewhere.

The sales team was fine. Sean was a good salesman as far as that goes. Promised they would swap my wheels from my old truck to my new one. Showed up to service to get it done and service rep was extremely rude the whole time. Wanted to charge me to swap wheels. Asked my salesman to have the manager I had talked to the day I bought my truck contact me and never heard back. Regret purchasing at this dealer now. Would not recommend at all. You need to get everything in writing or they will try to charge you.

Jason with Mel Hambelton Ford was the associate I was working with. Just trying to sell or trade my truck has been a hassle. Since day 1 he promised to get my some #s on my rig and kept making excuses everyday. I live 4 hours away and was willing to drive down to Wichita to trade/sell my vehicle but not anymore after this ordeal with Jason. I wouldnt recommend this dealership or Jason as a sales Representative if this is the customer experience being received.

I bought a van after their typical used car salesmen negotiations . Finally agreed on a price and after 8 days the check engine light comes on and the van runs rough. They have me bring it in and tell me don’t worry it’s under warranty. The next day I get a call and they say they thought I had the extra warranty and I should have to pay for half the service, but they will wave it this time because I only had the van 8 days. However I still have to pay $100 for the service deductible. Just got the van back so I don’t know how it will last from now but very disappointing.The biggest thing that sticks out to me about the whole experience is how much they talked about their 100+ point inspection and that you know you’re buying quality with them.Edit: After placing the review I was contacted by the dealer and asked how they could make it right. They explained the situation and offered to cover the next maintenance. I do appreciate them contacting me and trying to make things right. I changed my review from 3 stars to 4 stars because the person I talked to was very nice and understanding. If you feel like something is unfair I would contact Stan ( The Customer Service Manager) and see if he can make things better.

This place is a joke, Kent the parts and service employee is less than truthful and will always try to up charge you for things that should have been found in the “free” 4 point inspection. Overall service manager has no customer service such as today is 8-20-21 and states can’t get my car in until 9-7-21 but Honda can get me in tomorrow. Instead he becomes defensive when a customer brings up a problem with one of their parts and service employees. Do not take your car here as they will actively make problems worse and then proceeds to charge you outrageous amounts of money. Never again will I bring my car here or will I purchase a car here in the future as they do not care about customers and only care about nickel and diming everyone who walks in.

I have been buying Fords from MH Ford for almost two decades. At first it was just a geographical convenience. I kept going back for the customer service. Christian Sinzogan was the salesman who helped me this time. His excellent customer service, professionalism and ease made the experience enjoyable. He helped me find the car I was looking for and not just settle or be pushed into something I didnt want. He helped with my trade-in as well. Since then, he has followed up several times to make sure Im happy with the my car, and to help with anything else I might need. Im quite pleased and impressed and wanted to recognize him.

We went there hoping to find a deal and I felt almost forced into the car we got. Everything I asked for was ignored but as soon as I leave the room, they tricked my son into a high mileage car that I felt over priced. As I finally got my son to walk away they came again and just hounded us till we gave in. The game played to really get him was having another salesman text requesting keys to same vehicle! Not happy and definitely buyers remorse. I’ve seen on website vehicles in the price range we requested and low mileage but never got shown any of those cause apparently everyone one of them were already sold! WTH

Came in looking to buy either new or used. Had been to other places and had an idea of where I was with the numbers/ credit score etc.. Was pushed to a salesman. I explained where I was with everything, sale prices, estimated trade in value given to me by another dealership, approximate credit score... Ive been looking for some time so I was aware of what I had and needed... All of the things needed to provide a rough estimate on sale price and approximate payments were provided. I was pushed and pushed to get my credit score ran. Seemed as though they got paid for each credit score thats ran by how much pressure I was given to do it. Ended up getting the info I needed in the end without having to run my credit. That is irritating, why do that to people? The next day I bought a 2021 F150 Lariat AND a 2018 single cab F250.... from two other places. I wont go here anymore. Theyre way too pushy and seem to have this overall better than you demeanor... Nope.

Brought my vehicle in to be serviced for a clutch problem. The vehicle had the problem when it was sold to me by this dealership and an extended warranty on the part had been issued by Ford for a known clutch problem. The dealership did not fix this before selling it to me. When the now very costly clutch replacement was performed the vehicle was returned to me damaged. The service department refused to take responsibility for the damages. Service manager David was disrespectful and irresponsible.I wont be back and Ill make sure no one I know makes the mistake of purchasing a vehicle or having service performed at this dealership. Would give zero stars if I could.

I was excited to purchase a vehicle from a big named dealership like Mel Hambelton but ever since we walked out of the door with our vehicle it has been a nightmare. It has been in and out of there shop 3 times and still every light on the dash is on and were afraid to take it anywhere with our kids. Now Ive been trying to get ahold of someone there for 3 weeks because the sales receipt they sent me shows me having to pay sales tax on an extra $3500 dollars. Finally today someone got ahold of me and said since the trade in was in my girlfriends name and not mine I have to pay the extra tax, which they knew about when we purchased but didnt mention. Now I have had our family vehicle for just a few months and we are afraid to take it anywhere so it sits in our driveway. I thought going to a big dealership like Mel Hambelton we would have gotten treated fair but I would have had better luck at a used car lot on south Broadway.

Everytime I come here I get friendly professional help. Today they hosted a combination shredding drop-off opportunity with a toy collection event. It was a fun atmosphere, and seeing other guests riding around on a vintage fire truck really put a lotta smiles on faces.And.. It was no trouble at all for them to also spend ten minutes with me showing me how to pair my new phone with my new vehicle, a transit 150 conversion van [ a vehicle I had purchased in Ohio after driving non conversion vans here ]. The friendly banter and help could never be mistaken as pressure, they are just good and giving citizens of our neighborhood. Kudos. I like the folks here.

I’m not normally one for reviews, but my experience is definitely one to talk about. For both good and bad reasons. I signed on a car, but didn’t get to drive it for three weeks. But it was certainly worth the wait.Back in June, I got a wild hair and decided to look for a new car. I had an idea of what I wanted, but I was not 100% sure. I checked several lots for several vehicles, but I wasn’t able to find anything I truly fell in love with. Then I pulled up to the big corner and it was all over. There was one car on the lot that caught my attention. I wasn’t in love, but I was definitely interested. I peeked around and thought “maybe”. When reality set in and I was finally ready to move on, Hadi rolled up. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was sold the second he jumped/fell out of the golf cart. We got to talking and after a few jokes and some good laughs, within minutes I was test-driving the car that is now sitting in my drive way. But it wasn’t all positives. The car had issues. It actually spent three weeks in the shop at MH Ford, but Hadi kept me updated and answered every question I had, every time. At times I had started to lose hope, but once the car was ready and I drove it off the lot for the first time, I knew without a doubt, it was worth it.If I could give a 10 star rating, I would. Hadi’s customer service and communication was second-to-none. I was given everything I was promised and more. If not for Hadi and the way he handled the entire situation, from day 1 to day 25, this review would be much different.Thank you Hadi, and the entire MH team, for an amazing experience and result that i couldn’t have gotten anywhere else.

When you buy a new vehicle and they tell you youll have new tires for life, this necessarily isnt the case. My mothers car tires tread is starting to separate and are dangerous. Mel Hambelton wouldnt replace these dangerous tires because they said there was too much tread left.Also, when I took my truck in for scheduled maintenance, the tech looked at my tires and said it appears that I need new tires. When I told him I had tires for life he immediately said oh, they arent that bad. Tires for life to me seems deceptive. Makes me think twice about buying a new car there, and I am currently looking.

I can only speak to the parts department. Unlike most dealership parts departments, Mel Hambelton has tons of stock on things like ana fittings, arp bolts, and other modification parts. Feels like an actual parts store. Very cool.The people were helpful and friendly as well. Much better than the place across town.

No lines, I got right in for an oil change. But it still took them an hour an a half to do just an oil change. N they refused to reset my airbag light when it came on, n never deployed. Said they couldnt, but its a Ford car, n they work on Fords? Fishy!

Apparently there isnt a good Ford Dealership in Wichita. See my review at Rusty Eck Ford. I took my 2015 Ford F-150 (bought used, not from Mel Hambelton) in to deal with an open recall issue (information online and noted for the vehicle I bought), door latches that dont work in sub-zero weather. When I set up the appointment, the rep told me the job could take up to 8 hours, as they have to replace ALL door latches. Did he offer me a loaner vehicle or address a courtesy shuttle at that time? No. When I get to the dealership, Im told its NOT an open recall, that its an Extended Warranty issue, that theyll only work on the issue if theres been an actual problem.... Yes Mel, I had to physically hold my driver-side door shut while driving in the negative 5 degree weather so it wouldnt sling open while driving! So at no charge to me, they could replace the driver side door latch, an obvious FORD DEFECT at time time of manufacture, but because I hadnt experienced any issues with the passenger latch (its just me driving the vehicle, no passengers), and I didnt have any issues with it, then that passenger latch wouldnt be addressed...... I should have lied, and told them that latch didnt work either. Im then told its a 4 hour job, but I still didnt get offered a loaner vehicle, Im not offered a courtesy shuttle on the day I brought my vehicle in to get serviced..... I have to ask for it. Who wants to hang at a dealership for that time frame? Who wants to be told an Open recall all latches will be replaced when setting up the appointment, then, Its actually an Extended Warranty and well only fix the latch that had an issue when you get to the dealership? And then theres no offer of loaner vehicle ( I work for a living), no offer of a shuttle service when I took my truck in...... If you ask me, the passenger side latch should have been replaced too, and never mind my truck didnt get detailed (no wash, no wipe down) like a dealership usually CARES to do when a vehicle gets serviced. Rusty Eck Oh, you dont need to have those latches changed out, its doesnt get that cold in Wichita sucks and Mel Hambelton isnt a whole lot better. This city deserves a better Ford Dealership!

I went to buy a “brand new” car, and on the front windshield was a lower price than another other new car in the lot. After being told we had to buy it for the normal price ($3000 above the sticker price literally on the car) we went back and forth for weeks and finally came to a resolution that was decent. I haven’t even had the car for a year and I’ve had more problems with it than the 4 other cars I’ve had and sold. The cherry on top though is the “new “ car with 8 whole miles on it, had at least one tire that had already had repairs made to it. This caused me to have to buy a brand new tire way earlier than expected. Thanks for that.

We purchased our 2015 F250 Super Duty from Mel Hambelton about a month ago. Definitely visit Robert Kinney (aka The Redneck Guy) as he is very helpful and has the customers best interest in mind.We had some issues with our truck during the first few weeks of owning it, but Chad at the service department was very helpful, always provided a loaner car, and Mel Hambelton covered the repairs free of cost. Because of these issues, we were nervous about our purchase, but now it has been a few weeks with no issues. We are grateful for the Mel Hambelton team who took care of us before, during and after the sale!

I contacted mel Hambelton ford yesterday asking if people can stand in line overnight for their Black Friday promotion and I was told no that they would be handing out tickets at 7o’clock in the morning and you had to be online so I got up this morning got down there by 5 o’clock had no intentions on going on the property until I saw a line of around 200 people with tents and enclosed plastic containers sleeping I have a limited funds due to the pandemic that has affected most everybody this year but I wanted to get my daughter a reasonably priced vehicle for her 16th birthday which is in a few days if it was OK to stand in line overnight to increase your chances why didn’t they tell people why did they say no it wasn’t and then allow others to do it? I also found that there was no organization to the line and I walked up then a few minutes later about five other people walked up and mingled all in the line if that’s the way it goes nobody has a chance except for whoever camps out overnight near the door you may want to rethink how y’all do this in the upcoming years

Andrew knew that I was determined to get the perfect vehicle for a new driver. He didnt try to push me into getting something different, or trying to upsell me to something more expensive. So I went back 3 weeks after my first visit. My job keeps me pretty busy!! (Ask Reggie)So, I called ahead to let Reggie know that I was coming. He was my original salesman that I spoke to. It took me quite some time at the dealership. However I will say that they are not in any way like the other Ford dealership here in Wichita that I will not mention. I am now changing my review from 4 stars to 5! I dont know how but they were able to help me drive off the lot in My New Black 2019 Ford Fiesta with only 21 miles on it! This is a beautiful dealership. We’ve had repair work done and the job was excellent. I was recently in/out buying parts from the dealership. There is a 20 to 25% markup on OEM parts vs. online which is common at dealerships.I was troubled by the fact there was not a single employee in the building who wore a mask. Curious, I called and asked about this was told the owner made the decision employees don’t have to wear masks. I found this both bizarre and irresponsible on the part of management, especially when a significant number of the customer base are members of the high-risk population and the spread of the coronavirus is the highest it’s ever been right now.As is their choice to not enforce safety in the workplace to prevent the spread of the coronavirus it is my choice not to go back into that building ever again.

This was by far the easier, smoothest and quickest truck purchase I have ever made. My sales man, Brian S., went above and beyond in trying to meet my accommodations. He found the vehicle I wanted within 24 hours in OKC and had it in Wichita four days later! If I ever want to purchase a new vehicle again, I will most definitely be going back to Mel Hambelton Ford and doing business with Brian!
