Found some rare gaming gems here Id been looking to find for years, and helped me figure out an audio issue with my classic Nintendo WII I bought a few months agoHighly recommended for any gaming or anime fans out there for the upcoming holidays!Support your local mom and pop stores! A few months ago i damaged my nintendo switch joycons while trying to change out the case for them. Took about 2 weeks and when i got them back they worked like new. Nice people work there.

Love this place!!! In fact I love both of their stores. You can find almost every type of gaming system and games between the two of them. A must see if your into console gaming.

Store is just amazing. Very organized, and overall just a nice vibe. Great for anime figures, plushies, and video games. Couldnt recommend more. They also have a store called Cool Stuff if youre looking for more anime stuff. Highly recommend checking both out.

If You want any throwback games or an older system or accessories and games for one, along with merchandise for games here is a good place to start.

Great place, not very crowded, friendly staff. Prices are reasonable, and inventory is fantastic! After a quick browse, we left with over $80 in old-school games! This was our first visit, and well definitely be back again the next time were in town. Thanks so much for the great experience!

Loved it! I was wide eyed the entire time I was in the store.The store is neat, organised, and it was easy to find what you are looking for. My boyfriend went in to get a $3 Castlevania game; I left with a $30 Cardcaptor figurine(which I got overcharged for, I noticed after I left the store. Wasnt going to fuss over $8), and buy 2 get one free stickers that were gorgeous.Id def visit again, my eyes were a tad big for my wallet that stop. Interested to check out their other locations! The staff was also very helpful, the kind man gently took the time to repack the display figure(which was the last in stock) into its box. I appreciated it.

Very cool place to get used games and game console. I only wish they had the consoles I wanted. So glad they still have regular Wii games. Most places dont carry those. Will definitely be returning.

This place is awesome. It’s small but they make great use of the space and I called ahead to make sure that they had some games I was looking for which they easily put aside for me.There are several well-stocked glass cases on the walls for all the console systems with used games for sale as well as accessories.I was able to get an Xbox 360 Kinect for $9.99 as well as 4 games I was looking for all for less than $50!The gals inside were helpful and it was neat and tidy with some little new items up front for collectors.Easy in and out from Lynnhaven Parkway just a few blocks from Lynnhaven mall in a strip mall with loads of nearby parking.

Store was clean, and the selection was alright.The staff were crowded around one of the check out terminals loudly yelling and playing a game. Difficult to really hear above them, and seemed a bit irritated when we had to interrupt them to ask for a game.

When it comes to Video Game Heaven I can only give their VB location same amount of stars as their Chesapeake and Norfolk locations. Thats a big 5 Stars.While Im a retro gamer Im mostly a portable gamer. One of my favorite portable platforms is the Sony PSP and time and time again Ive picked up games here at very competitive prices. In addition to the PSP Ive also picked up Vita and and N64 for games here to. However my uber find at this location is a 3000 Series Vibrant Blue PSP.The staff are always helpful and as the rotate their staff around their different locations youre bound to run into someone youre familiar with and whom is also familiar with the systems you collect for.This is a great place. Check them out if youre in the area.

THIS PLACE IS GREAT!! JAMES AND AMANDA are superstars. I walked in with an external hard drive formatted for xbox/PC that was bought off my wife and my Wedding Registry for over $100. It was shipped from the UK and to return it it would be just as expensive to return. It was worth next to nothing as a trade/sell, but James and Amanda were determined to help me. They told me about reformatting it myself, and I went home and did just that. They have gain a loyal customer and I will be sure to go back anytime I am looking for my gaming needs. 10/10 would recommend!

Husband got a crazy Resetti from there. Its alright, but kind of pricey.

Took me back to when I was a kid. They had the classics and the newer games. They also have more to offer than just video games too.

Was told that they could gix my xbox one x. Gave very descriptive details of multiple error codes and they said it would be fine to repair. Wasnt untiall after nothing got fixed and apparently warranty voided for a sticker that got rubbed off did i have to go out to the repair facility and have them tell me they couldnt fix certain codes if they appeared. Just hardware. So false advertising and failure to repair device after 2 seperate attempts. Do not trust them with repairsWasted time and money

On Saturday October 31st I go into Video Haven to purchase a PS3 controller. I went up to an employee and asked if he had any PS3 controllers he replied yes we have 1. I then asked if its a good controller he said it has a clicking sound on the joystick but if you dont mind listening to that other than that its fine.. Then I specifically asked the employee IF I buy this controller do I have a 30 days to bring it back if its not working he said yes bring it back. So I got home and started to use the controller and right away i noticed its not working properly like it should be so today November 3rd, 3 days after I bought it I decided to go get my refund and of course 2 different employees are working. After I walked in and explained about the controller the employee says they cant issue refunds. They can only give store credit back. So All in All the first employee never said I couldnt get my refund of the controller if it wasnt working and seriously store credit? I spent $31 for this used broke controller and I dont get a refund. I now just bought 2 controllers for $33 at Walmart. That was my first time ever going to Video Haven and That Will be my last. How unprofessional, you sell junk products and then you dont issue a refund. I HIGHLY recommend NOT going here. I should have just went to GAME STOP! So now I have no controller and lost $31. Oh by the way they gave me an in store Credit hahaha I went in there for a PS3 Controller and you give me a in store credit. Thanks for nothing and hope my $31 goes to something important. If i knew I would be throwing money away I could of helped out with the homeless or someone else in need. That Store is a SCAM so Beware people.

The manger (William?) Is extremely rude and clearly has poor social skills. Amazing to think someone like that could be promoted to manager. This was my first and last time going to this store.

So much better than game stop they dont rip you off ir offer you 10 bucks for everything you got I traded in 3 used regular xbox one controllers one game and a handful of old 360 games got a brand new blue controller in the box and still walked away with a gift card with 20 bucks on it local business is the best and they have my support from now on never will i step into a game stop after the experience I had here

This location is usually my go-to for new/old games. I also came here with a couple of old systems to see if they can help out with making them work. All in all, the team here is awesome.

Found a bunch of old video game stuff laying around the house..... Video games, controllers, a super nintendo, game cube, etc. I thought most of it was in pretty bad shape, missing cords etc., but got $431 in trade in!!!!!

I had an issue with a GameCube I bought a little over a month ago. I called the Lynnhaven Parkway location and talked with Jim about the issue, he let me know I could bring it in and he would take a look at it. After he tried testing the machine for a few minutes and couldn’t get it to work, he offered me a replacement without issue. He was a very professional employee and has ensured that I will be returning to the Lynnhaven Parkway location for my retro gaming needs. That was some of the best customer service I’ve had in any store in years. Great employees and great welcoming environment!

Really cool place! They have tons of selection for almost any platform. Good mix of retro and modern. Prices are also very reasonable and the staff are really kind. The atmosphere invokes and 80s arcade feel. Was able to pick up a Game Gear and some Sega CD games for a good price.

This local video game store is superb! They have a great selection of old games for old systems like the SNES or Game Cube. Lots of collectables too! They also sell Hi Chew and Japanese Kit Kat flavors. Yum!

Absolutely stunning - the sheer amount of classic and nostalgic games/systems is mind-blowing. Been able to find many of the original games that Ive missed over the last twenty or so years. And a new game section to boot! Definitely my go-to game store!

One of the last places to find actual vintage games and consoles. Unlike GameStop where it became too mainstream and too convenient store based.

I found an Xbox One, Wii-U with a few games, AND a Nintendo Switch all under $400!! Plus i got a few awesome stuffed game characters for my game room. Sales associates are great and so mellow, and theres so many other items to buy from there as well. An amazing little gem I came across while trying to get some new and slightly older game consoles, very glad i did!

This location promised me a deal. Once I arrived the old guy that worked there refused the deal. Contacted the owner Jim and he was just as helpful. I was a little upset at first but figured it could be worse. I could be 45 years old working at a video game store.- In reply to the owners response, thats simply not true. I never thought I was entitled to any deal. I always called prior to visiting to see if they had X amount of copies and if they could do it for my asking price. I didnt just show up and demand they give me all your prized copies of Quarter Back Club 98 for a $1 each.

At first, when I went in there, I was looking at prices, and I was thinking their stuff was priced pretty high. Like, at or above eBay prices. Which makes sense, cause theyre a brick and mortar. But then I noticed that a lot of the loose games were buy two, get one free. So I grabbed some random games (GameCube, NES, SNES, Genesis, 7800) and went to the counter. And the guy was like, naah man, the games are buy one get one, and I was like, oh nice! And then he was all, *get another game for free, and I left with about $50 in games for $30. Good job, guys! Loved the layout and the variety!
