I buy and sell bullion often. Im experienced in doing business with coin shops and precious metal exchanges. This store by far had the best payout on silver in the area, paying over spot price! He does great business, was very friendly and honest. I will 100% be back. This is now my local gold and silver place.

Been in a few times to buy gifts and the owner, his staff, and the security guard have always been nice and helpful. Ive only bought graded coins and medals from them so cant speak to the other stuff but the prices seem fair compared to online and you dont have to wait or worry about some jerk stealing your mail and getting your silver coins.

That was such a fun experience. The owner told us stories a about his coin collecting experiences as a kid and gave my sister and I some great deals on coins. I’m definitely going there again. We got a bunch of Mercury dimes and my sister even got a free 1907 nickel!

Very nice, very informative. Excellent service. He took customer after customer without a single break. Amazing selection. I reserve one star only because the price he quoted me was not the price given. Should have checked the math. (Yep, im too trusting) As it was, I ended up paying (a lot) more per ounce on the silver I purchased. I will definitely bring my calculator next time. Business is business and hes gotta make a dime, I just wish he had more honest about it. As it is, selling this silver at the price I paid will be just about impossible in the current price range. Lets hope for higher silver in the future for all of us. Cheers.

Visited this store on a saturday afternoon after work. They had some really awesome stuff and some great deals. I was looking at some star trek stuff and he offered to open a box for me so I could see what the product inside looked like in person. There was no pressure to buy the product after the box was opened but I did anyways. My grandpa loves it! 11/10 would go again :)

I’m somewhat of an amateur “collector” in coins & sometimes cards, and when I find a good price for Silver Eagles online, I find that Bob (I believe is the owners name) gives me a better price for profit on my silver than anyone I know of in Virginia Beach. He’s up to the hour on the price & has always treated me with respect whenever I come into his store, something that’s rare among people these days. There is no other business that I would recommend over this one for buying/selling silver & gold. Best in the beach.

Great, well organized store with a huge assortment of great coins. The owner was kind and courteous and quoted a price that was right in line with what I was expecting to pay for the coin (it was actually $5 LESS than what I figured was the right price). I will CERTAINLY be back!!!

I got a 2018 platinum preamble declaration of independence coin for literally a few hundred less than I have seen anywhere and junk silver was the best price you can hope for, some really good prices, and I definitely like the owner. A lot of nice stuff for someone willing to pay collectors price. I sold some scrap silverware which actually was a very nice 18piece matching set. I was just hoping to get scrap but I was paid a lousy $170 for over 2 ounces of silver. Its not his fault though, he did say this is what I can give you.

The owner of this business is an arrogant, pompous man. As a small business owner myself, we stick together and help one another, because times have been hard. This gentleman, using that word loosely, is not one of us. His misconception is because its his business he can treat customers however he chooses. I have never been treated so maliciously for merely walking in and trying to interact with the owner and show interest in his store. I very politely confronted him alone about how his actions made me feel, and instead of apologizing and behaving like a real businessman, he stuck to his arrogant, demeaning attitude. Great prices on what I’m looking for, every time I have went in the price has been fair, and I’m cheap I want the best deal possible. A lot of these reviews talk about bad attitudes, first time I met the owner was outstanding, absolutely great guy. I’m sure this guy deals with other buyers and sellers who are a little rough around the edge and maybe you fought him at a bad time, give him another chance I’m sure he will surprise you.

I took in my late fathers coin collection here today and the owner took a look at each book and meticulously went through and appraised all three binders. I sold one and kept the other two but he gave me a fantastic price and didnt try to pull a fast one. Was completely honest from the start. If youre looking for a great place to get some coins appraised i would recommend his establishment 100%. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Had the pleasure of stopping in this shop while on vacation from NY. I must also mention that it was the fourth coin shop I’d checked out while in VA. Not only does Bob have the best prices around, (not just between the stores I visited, but also in comparison to online prices), but the customer service was first rate. There were at least three other customers in the store while I was there, yet it seemed like I was alone in their store, as he was able to multi task and pay the requisite attention to all of us equally. He was also able to discern that I’m a watch lover, so he took occasion to show me a gorgeous Breitling Chronomat 44 he had for sale. Finally, he’s a fellow gun guy, and showed me a few of those he had in the shop, as well.

Decent folks, nice friendly dog, good selection, but their price on constitutional silver coins was over $1 higher per $1 face value than Candl Coins.

The best coin and shop in the area. Dont go to a mall kiosk, do some comparison shopping!Their buy / sell prices on precious metals are very fair and follow market prices. If you found some old silver coins that you want to sell, or you want to buy some junk silver as a hedge against inflation then this is the place in Hampton Roads.As a tip, credit card transactions cost businesses a percentage of the total sale. Just like internet bullion companies, if you pay cash it saves them money, and they pass that savings on to you.

Owner was somewhat grouchy, and he would barely buy anything. I would show him something and he said None of my interest in an annoyed tone when I offered something he did not want. Whatever he offered to buy he barely offered anything for. $5 for silver half dollar (90%), $0.35 per indian head. I expected to sell quite a bit when I really sold NOTHING. However he sold walking liberty half dollars for $6 each, but I use ebay as a coin shop. He also said bring your stuff in and I will give you an offer over the PHONE. I told him what I had and he barely wanted any of it in person.

Staff is helpful but have an snotty edge about them sometimes. Ive been in a few times over the last few years and it varies. I also think their prices are a bit high as you can buy the same items cheaper online and other places in town. It definitively wouldnt be on the yop of my list to recommend to a friend who needed to sell something. Frankly youd probably get more at a pawn shop. Alls I can say is if youre going to sell anything just know the currrnt market value for the condition of your item.

Went in and sold some silver. I was low balled. I called around after due to sellers remorse and I made the wrong decision. I was paid $8.25 per ounce. That is horrible but I needed the money.

Im a beginner and he takes time to educate and explain pros and cons. Now i can buy with confidence.

So if that minimum is all you require, I can recommend this place.However. ... the guy used this annoyed, far too firm tone with me when we were discussing value. It was like he was angry I was trying to do business with him.Now, I did mention his deplorable bedside manner (customer service), to which he was further pissy, and after I pushed my coins his way, he pushed a now if you want to sell them Ill buy them I just kinda took a moment to look at the coins that were far closer to him than me, then said, uh, I need the money so, yeah, duh.Now, his dad was freaking awesome. Don’t even waste your time coming here, 17$/ oz of silver, the man charges high premiums you have better luck shopping apmex, jmbullion ... almost unwelcoming experience, no one greeted, both owner and female just sat there. No one asked if you made 2-3M in silver trades either. It must of went some where else then that cheap Benz.

$5 above spot for DEs isnt bad but its about my limit. Atmosphere was ok. As soon as I told him, Ah ok and wasnt interested in his price on DEs while still going to buy another item his attitude went downhill a little. (If you look there are at least two dealers in the area you can get about $2-3 above spot.) With so many other coin/silver dealers in the area, I wont be back.

In my opinion this is the only place in Hampton Roads to buy, sell and trade gold and silver! Bob is always friendly and is a very knowledgable numismatist who always pays spot price or very close to it for precious metals.
