7/19/21 we went in to check whether our car battery was still any good. Alexander was very nice and polite; he cleaned the terminals, explained what he was doing, and gave us suggestions. He did not rush us and took the time to do a good job. Excellent experience; I highly recommend him and AutoZone.

Shopping and checking out was fine. There was an odd exchange as I was leaving between one of the cashiers and a customer which left me feeling a bit uneasy. I generally expect customer service reps to handle confrontation with more decorum, but the customer was being somewhat accusatory. I hurried out before seeing how it was resolved, but otherwise it would have been a 5 star experience.
I am customer here for 15 yrs i just lived around the area, i just noticed that the employees are very dis respectful especially the thin guy with long hair, maybe he has problems at home or the in the storeBefore the workers here are very polite and good guys, that’s why i keep coming backThis is the real issue i ordered wiper for my car and i paid already then it’s already due and items they not yet ready then i come back today February 25 after 2 days of due date but still not availableThen i asked for the manager just to asked him what really happened, OMG the manager is really rude and he said if cannot wait after 2 days of over due i can refund my money, its frustratingAfter i get this items, i am coming back to this store....never...most of the employees here are arrogant & disrespectful 👹👹👹
My sincere thanks goes out to “Mike B.” For helping me getting the correct windshield wipers and headlight bulbs for my VW Jetta. He went way beyond what a normal salesperson would to help a customer and this is why I only come to this location. Will return and recommend to others!
I love this store I think the staff is great they go above and beyond their duties as employees i will continue to shop there over other auto parts stores unless i need a specific part that they dont carry or cant get

I went to Pep Boys first. It was near to the 5:00 hour, about 4:50 pm. They closed the door in my face, told me they were closed. Pandemic you know. Closing at 5, but close early. So, I went to Auto zone. They did not have nor stock what I was looking for.The staff was polite & Professional. I would give 3.5 stars but it wont let me. Sorry guys.

Everytime we are there which is often because we have 3 cars to deal with Albert is ALWAYS there to help.. Does the guy ever take a day off?? Lol..Always has a smile on his face and an answer to our questions.. Im big on customer service as I have to deal with executives on a corporate level.. Albert is a prime example of what customer service is all about..

My rate is because when I asked a staff member some info about their car batteries, he keeps playing on his phone. He replied to some of my questions and eventually ignored me. He showed a very rude and disrespectful attitude. The lady, on the other hand, has very helpful, thus, busier helping everyone. Hence, I ended leaving.Then, I went to the store on Alvarado-Niles Rd, and the crew there helped me address my battery questions. I asked for the battery test service, which they gladly did, and subsequently, I ended buying a new one.They also offered help to remove the old and install the new one.The Alvarado-Niles store crew is terrific!.
Was treated very rudely yesterday by the girl working at the counter. Ignored and gotten very short answers to my situation. Not helpful at all and acted like she could care less. I work in customer service and have never treated like how I was yesterday. Will not recommend or go to this location again. Sad because it is right around the corner but service sucks.

I tried to buy a car battery. They said that the installation is fee but when I about to pay. They said that they can not install it because I need to buy the battery pole accessories. The Manager is very rude!
I’m actually a fairly recent « fan » of AutoZone, so this review is about this store and not AZ as a whole. I visited twice this store in the past 12 months, each time to purchase a very specific part. Twice, this store didn’t have the parts in stock, whereas other nearby AZ stores (Hayward, San Leandro or Newark) had them. Yeah sure, next time I’ll order online, using their app.
The manager Chris is very knowledgeable and very friendly and multitask very well. His team over there does a good job on finding the right parts and getting them to me quickly. Those locations also well stocked.

Called around 2:30 on 12/30. Guy named Chris picked up and put me on hold to help the customer in front of him, which I was fine with. But after 20 minutes on hold I assumed he had forgotten about me. Called back and spoke to another gentleman who helped me immediately.

I went here today 10:00 AM. The lady working there is very rude . She doesn’t know what customer service is. I came back without buying anything. I never go here again. I would give them zero rating, if there is an option.

I appreciate the proximity of this AutoZone to where I live and have never had a problem with customer service until this month (twice, a few weeks apart). Visit one: two young employees (men) were behind the counter. As I waited to pay, one of the employees was speaking in an elevated tone and was outright rude to a customer for what sounded like an honest mistake on the customers part (bringing/reading the wrong named product for an exchange/return). The employee continued to talk negatively about the customer after he left in front of the remaining customers. Visit 2: I see it is the same two young men behind the counter from my first visit. But I needed something that was out of stock last time. My complaint is, one of them was vaping INSIDE the store. Whether there are current regulations in effect prohibiting e-cigarette-use inside businesses, as a customer I was turned off by this. I may have to take my business elsewhere, even if this means a further drive.
Found the part I needed and got out really quickly. The guy ringing me up was very friendly and tried to help me as much as he could.
They tend to have what I need and God forbid I should have to walk there... They are just a few blocks away.

Because of my inconnsiderate roommate I had to parl on a very busy street. My driver side view mirror was broken. Knowing how ticket happy some police are I decided to get it fixed sooner rather than later. I went to auto zone, explained my situation and the guy there was on it. The mirrior wasnt in stock so he ordered it for me. When I went to pick it up a week later, he installed the mirrior at night. Great customer service, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Wish I knew his name. Located on Alvarado and Dyer in Union City.

They are tricky very tricky with prices, for instance all of the items that I bought at the store, show different when I went to pay them on the counter, the price on the shell its $22 and when you pay is $40 wow!!! But I need it them,so I bought them.

Lack of inventory and availability of parts, I returned again on the 24th and the same staff very, very lacking in knowledge, a thousand times better orraly today is September 10, 2020 they had me 30 minutes waiting to give me my money I have left over what I bought them I asked how much longer they were going to take and one of the employees told me there was only one register and his partner had it busy he did not know how much more. its a disgusting store and they never have inventory
