Took my moms old car here thinking it might need brakes, but turned out there was just grinding because it had been sitting and they got rusty. They told me brakes were fine and didnt try to upsell me at all. Thanks for the free inspection and your honesty!

Came in at 8:05 am for an oil change. Decided to do an alignment as well. Took over an hour and a half to get my car back. Normally I get good service from Brakes Plus, so it must just be this location. Staff were nice, but it shouldnt have taken so long to complete an oil change and alignment. I wound up being late to work as a result. Probably wont be visiting this location again.

Recently had my rotors and pads serviced on my vehicle, and I was surprised how friendly and professional the staff was. Leah was my representative that day, and she was professional, and excellent at giving me continual updates about the status of my vehicle. This was a nice touch, and I highly recommend this location.

Daniel offered to even pick me up after my car was repaired instead of me having to walk 3 miles or get an uber. Went to grease monkey a little further down 104th and they told me i needed new break pads asap and tried to charge me 350. came here a couple days later and they said there was nothing wrong with my car! definitely saved me the hassle and money!

This place completely blew my mind with how quick and easy they made the whole process. I got my car towed into this unit and I have never had car problems prior to this one. But this place really made it the smoothest possible situation all things considered. Great service. One of my driver side lug nuts fell off and traveled. Fearing the worst happening to brakes or rotor, the staff under advisor Daniel Gonzales (8/9/21) were able to find the cause of noise within minutes at no charge. Lets face it - no one likes to have to fix their car. But I have to say that my experience with this Brakes Plus location was the best I have ever had with an auto repair business! I took my car in because my brakes started grinding a couple days ago. I was able to schedule an appointment online which was super easy and drop off was a breeze. Daniel called me within an hour and gave me quite a list of items that need to be done and it was honestly more than I could afford right now. I asked him what could I do within the budget that I gave him that would get me going. Daniel said his priority was making sure I was safe and was able to get the work that was most important completed within my budget - and done the same day! I appreciate that my needs were taken into consideration and they were willing to help me and not take advantage of me. I will be back to have the list of things I still need done very soon Daniel! The price for and oil change and to out blue dye in my van to check for oil leaks was expensive and when I got the van back my backup light wouldnt turn off and still dont unless I check and make sure Ive got it turned off. The backup lights killed my battery and I had to go buy another one for 214 dollars that I wouldnt have had to pay if my car came back the way I dropped it off. Then for the leak that cost more as well. I couldnt afford to do both I could only afford the oil leak that was 311. Now Ive got to get my backup light fixed as well

I have been to the Brakes Plus in Thornton several times in the last couple of months. They did my Brakes, a tune up, an alignment, replaced my fuel pump and completed several other repairs. Daniel and Patrick were wonderful. They always kept me informed and there were no surprises when I was ready to pay my bill. I live on the other side of town but drive for the half hour to 45 minutes because I trust the service technicians and I receive excellent service.

My thoughts going in were “what are they gonna try and tell me is wrong that really isn’t” I have had so many horrible experiences with auto repairs places. This place was awesome they were fast they only did what I needed done. Daniel the manager was very nice and professional. I will definitely use them again when I need brakes or anything done again!

Worst service ever!, (you decide)I called yesterday early morning to setup an appointment for today. I requested the premium brake package, we confirmed 10 am. When dropping off my car thecashier (Leillani) receiving my car told me, it will be 1 1/2 hrs due to being short staffed.She was adamant to know if I was gonna wait in lobby or return. Once I told her I will be leaving. I asked if she will be calling me and she said yes. 1hr 1/2 passes no call ( I understand they are short staffed) I allow 2hrs 15min pass. I call and speak to Patrick and he tells me it’s almost done and to give him few minutes and he will call me back. Another hour passes and no call… so I call back the cashier tells me they are about to start working on it and it’s gonna take another hour!!I told the cashier please tell the mechanicdo not touch my car. My appointment was at 10am. I am 5 min away (please)do not touch my car! She just hangs up on me.This is my first and last time using Brakes Plus! I now regret not waiting in the lobby. I feel had I’ve waited they would have worked in my car sooner!

Great customer service. Honest about what needed to be done on my vehicle. Needed more work done on my vehicle, let them know when I needed my vehicle back by, the employees worked very hard to get my car done when I needed and they did. Patrick and Daniel were amazing!! I appreciate everything all the employees did to help me out and make my experience great. Definitely will be going back and do recommend.

This place always has time to fit you in, not sure thats a good thing. Either the mechanics arent very good or the guy up front shouldnt try to relay notes. They claimed my air ride suspension was bad and could take 3 to 4 grand to fix. My car does not have an air ride suspension. It has heavy duty shocks on the rear which are 2 months old. My mechanic verified this. Then they claimed my rack and pinion was leaking, it looks like oil splash from when i changed my own oil. Maybe they should stick to just brakes. This explains why there is no wait to get into this place.

Took my Trailblazer in with a laundry list of problems. Daniel was able to get it all fixed in just a few days. They contacted me every step of the way, and kept me updated on everything that was happening. I highly recommend this location.

Did a brake flush and alignment on my 2008 trailblazer ss after I replaced my lower control arms and upper ball joints. I went to pick up and drove it around for a few blocks. It was slightly going left, so I called them and they asked that I bring it in. They took it in immediately and made minor adjustments. Shes driving straight as an arrow now.

I had my alternator replaced here. They did a fantastic job. The manager Brian is super helpful and knowledgeable. Patrick is another technician who was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. In the end, I feel like I got quality work done on my car for a very reasonable price and quickly. Great job! I would recommend them!

The guys at Brakes Plus did an excellent job on the repairs on my vehicle, I needed all new rotors and brake pads on the front and back and a oil change they quoted me a fair price and got it done in a timely matter and I really appreciate them throwing in all new lug nuts on my tires at no cost. I really appreciate them doing that and getting all the work done in less than 4 hours after evaluating my truck repairs!

Brought my car that is old enough to drink here. All the staff members were super friendly and helpful. They were flexible so that I could make it work with my nightshift schedule and still get my car back even faster than I was expecting to. And probably most importantly, they were honest about the work my car needed done. They performed an inspection and fixed everything that they could without needing to charge me, and then gave me a list that broke down the other work that would eventually need to be done but I could wait on. This is a trait that I sincerely admire in a mechanic. It was a thoroughly pleasant experience and you can bet I will be taking my car here again.

Probably the most honest car repair shop that I have gone to. Check engine light came on when I was down here, it was not safe to drive home. Daniel gave me a quick, honest quote and took care of me right away. While my car was being fixed, they noticed the bushings were shot, Patrick let me go back to the car to take a video to show my Dad. Neither of us understood what was wrong with the bushings until they took time to explain it to us.I SO appreciate their hard work and honesty. They are so professional. Definitely will continue to go here for any repair in there future.

I was waiting for for advance auto parts to open and saw the manager of brakes plus shoveling snow asked if he had wiper blades he said yes but his computer was down but he gave me and installed the blade for free. Good quality of work on brakes. I had no issues with their repairs. Get a second opinion and make sure you know your car’s repair history. Salesperson will try to make you do the work you don’t need. It’s tough times for everyone right now. Somehow this place can’t get any work but my small mechanic shop owner is way overworked. That comes from building a relationship with the customer based on solid work and trust in making the best decision for the car owner. Not to be expected here unfortunately.

Took my truck in for an oil change and brakes today. They did a great job on everything looked over my whole truck to make sure everything was in good working order. Recently had a motor installed by these guys long story short something went wrong with it brought it back to them and not only did they all go above and beyond for me they got me a new motor under warranty and took amazing care of my truck Brian and Daniel were very informative about all my questions and were always very respectful when I contacted them. They were pretty scattered and slow when I wanted to pay, but they seem to have done a good job.

Better than i expected. My cars left tire was making a noise and i thought i knew what the problem was so I called to get a quote which was over 600. When i brought the car in and they took a look at it they said it was just the hubcap. I obviously had no clue what i was talking about so i appreciate their honesty.

I had gone in for brake service and was hoping it wouldn’t cost too much, but Daniel pointed out that the struts and shocks had never been changed in my 11 yr old Toyota Corolla. (and I knew that to be true because when you don’t have money, you live by “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”) He explained though, that sometimes when you let things go like that, it causes other parts to wear down and then you have another problem, and I knew that to be true as well. At any rate, I was devastated at the cost, as I am on a fixed income, so I asked him if he thought it would really be worth it to put that much money into an 11 year Toyota? Because they seem to be great cars, as I have a 27 year old Toyota pickup that I only drive on the weekends to run errands to keep it alive and it shakes, rattles and won’t go in 4th gear, but that thing just won’t quit! So I wanted his opinion on if I spent the money, did he think it would be worth it, would this Toyota Corolla give me a few more years. (Because I already knew that I was either going to tell him to just do the brakes and forget the struts and shocks or was going to have to run over to North Suburban and see if they would buy one of my kidneys) But he named a few models and Toyota was one that he named and said if I kept up the maintenance on it, and fixed those struts and shocks now, that I could probably get another 100,000- 150,000 more miles out of it! He also mentioned that he gets it as he has a wife, a daughter and a mom and understands! Needless to say I did it, as I felt confident he was being truthful and honest and making payments on a car was going to take me a lot longer to pay off then what I ended up paying! And he rounded it down to an even amount which saved me a little more money!Thank you, Daniel, for your honesty!Sheila

Weve been taking our vehicles to Brakes Plus at 104th for years. They are able to clearly communicate the issues that need to be taken care of, and will let me know if something can wait to be repaired later or should be taken care of right away for safety. As with all shops, they are trained by corporate to try and sell something extra (air filter, wiper blades, whatever), but I have learned to ask bluntly if those extras are desperately needed or not. They dont take offense to me asking the questions. Their prices are in line with what other shops charge. The main reason I am loyal to this shop is because the people who work there are honest with me. Thats hard to find these days. Special thanks to Pete, Daniel, and Paul, as well as the manager who was relocated to another shop, Shawn. They go above and beyond to make sure our vehicles are safe to drive. Thank you!

I had my Hyundai serviced at Auto Nation Hyundai on 104th and they told me I needed new brake pads. Since dealerships tend to be more expensive I took my car to Brakes Plus and told them I needed new brake pads (because that is what the dealership service told me.) Left with my husband realized that I forgot my phone in my car so I went back to get it and my car was already being checked. They took me back to show me that my brake pads were totally fine. Actually better than fine. The dealership had told me that my brake pads were a 3 on the front and 4 on the back. They said I need IMMEDIATE attention. On the other hand Brakes Plus took me back and showed me with their measurement that they were NOT what the dealership had said. Instead a solid 6 on all four break pads. Do you know how easy it would have been for them to just do the brake job and taken my money even though it was not necessary. Being a female you are at the mercy of the mechanic shops you go to. Thank you Brakes Plus. THANK YOU DANIEL, McKENNA, and ANGEL for being wonderful, honest, trustworthy, kind and most of all professional.
