I started taking my cars here because of the deals on an oil change. I told everyone about the deals. Then I noticed the car inspection always turned up something wrong. Air filter, cabin filter, wipers, alignment. Always something small that costs 3 or 4 times as much as an auto parts store and the auto part store installs it for free.I replaced my brake pads early after the inspection revealed they would need replacement soon, so it wouldnt get into the rotor. Mentioned it to them when they suggested doing it at my next oil change. Three weeks later I noticed a scraping noise from the right rear area. Got progressively worse over the next two weeks, so I removed the tires and inspected both sides. Right rear caliper had something stuck in it not allowing it to release back after the brake was applied. Pad wore down in three weeks into the rotor, thus the grinding noise. I priced higher end brake pads, rotors, and calipers to completely redo both rear brakes. Then when I didnt have the time to do the breaks myself I brought it in. Told them what was wrong and what it needed, then got the Oh No If Its The Caliper!, which I already knew had to be replaced. EXPENSIVE! I already priced the parts at my regular auto parts store so knew it wouldnt be bad even paying their labor cost. Silly Me! They charged me over 2 times as much as I would have had to pay for each part! That plus labor took what should have been a $600.00 or so repair and turned it into an $1100.00 repair.When I talked with the guy thats been there forever he said he had to charge me 210.00 for a 80.00 part cause we have to make a little money. Lesson learned.This place may baffle you with bullvine feces and lube you up with graphite grease, but in the end my opinion is the front desk guy up charges and uses the same business practices as the other RIP off places so he makes a commission. Go elsewhere. I no longer recommend this place and in fact warn people about it.

Mountain View Automotive have really great people working here. They are very professional, helpful and totally patient. Theyve done my oil changes twice now and today I got my battery replaced. Its easy to get through, set up an appointment and they get the job done quickly and efficiently. They warranty all of their work. Thank you guys so very much!! Ill be back!!

Will definitely over charge you and rip you off. Unfortunately my friend didnt come to me first and took the car here. My friend regretted it as soon as they told my friend the price of everything and paid it. Then it was too late. Called my mechanic right away and sent pics of receipt. He was furious at how they are charging. Call around and get quotes before you decide to come here. They will definitely take advantage of you.

Okay I must edit my review of them and I hate to do it because there are some really decent guys there but after my last experience I must admitted not to happy i brought my Vw touareg in and not going to lie it has some major issues but lets start buy saying that i replaced my fuel pumps which are inside the tank and was not getting fuel pressure so they diagnosed needed a new fuel pump which was not the case I need a new fuel pump pressure regulator which are two different parts and the mechanic did a visual not taking it apart to see that the pumps were brand new i even called the company i got the pumps from and they sent me two new pumps second my battery needed to be replaced and I was told my car has two batteries and the one in the trunk needs to be replaced another miss diagnoses as my car has 1 battery under the driver seat the v10 are the only ones with a two battery system mine is a v6 vw touareg 04 now the bad after i paid the inport diagnose fee and had my car picked up by the tow company my car was completey vandalized my paper work was thrown all over my console broke apart things were not put back together these first 4 are the photo on how I got my car back the next ones are how it was when it was dropped off the next two show the two different parts but I was diagnosed as needing the most expensive one even tho I have two brand new pumps in the tank and two pumps sitting in a box the company sent when I told them I was diagnosed as needing new fuel pumps even tho they were replaced as you can see the regulator is bad and the pump in the tank is new

But everyone I’ve interacted with at Mountain has been amazing and honest, and it seems like they really operate their business with integrity. This is the only place I’ll take my car now!

The assistant manager, Nate, is a rude and misogynistic human who only wants to mansplain. He raised his voice on the phone for absolutely no reason. When confronted in person he decided to sit with a smug smile on his face instead of apologizing for being incredibly inappropriate and unprofessional.

I had issues with my car running poorly and had a service engine light soon light on. They quickly determined the issue was just a loose vacuum line and fixed the issue for just the cost of the diagnostic fee. I have been to them several times for other issues/work and they always do a great job for a reasonable price. I would highly recommend them, and will be going to them for any future automotive servicing needs.

AAA towed me off the mountain and suggested this shop I agreed . This is one of the best mechanics shops I have seen there super friendly and very professional. If your a AAA member and need emergency auto work remember the name and request them I was towed in around 2 pm and had my car back fixed by 830 the next morning and back on the road Thank you so much MVA

I have yet to pay this establishment any money!Ive brought my truck in twice and theyve given me a free diagnostic of the problem. Each time I did not have the funds immediately to do the repairs. The first time I ended up doing the work myself.I will bring my truck in for this next job, just in another month or two.I trust this place and that is not easy to earn.

I’ve been using MVA for almost 4 years. They get you in and let you know what is needed and don’t try to add in extra costly work. Marc is always great! I’ve taken 2 of my vehicles here and will never use another mechanic.

Brining your car to any shop can be extremely anxiety inducing. However, Jeremy and the whole team were amazing! I took my car in for an issue that is intermittent and doesnt trigger the check engine light. The guys took it around town to test it, the car didnt act up. I even tried driving with them in the car. They informed me I would not be charged since they dont see anything wrong even after checking my hoses, connections, etc. I have never been to a shop that is so honest, friendly, and understanding. I cant thank you all enough!!!

I want to start by saying Ive spent thousands of dollars at this location before. I called to set up an oil change for tomorrow like Ive done in the past. Gentlemen that answered was short and not interested in my business. Said uhhhh oil changed have to be Wednesday and out and was short as hell. Didnt make any sense. If you are booked for the day then say so or at least act like you want my business. He answered so quick with my question I can tell he didnt even attempt to see if they could take me in tomorrow. What happened here today will make me take my business somewhere else.

The team at Mountain View Automotive assisted me in repairing my van after I had hit a deer. The earliest dates I got from participating collision centers was weeks out. Mark worked with my insurance to get the quote approved and the payment secured to get me back on the road and to my next destination.

I got my timing belt replaced here & they were very quick! I had taken my car to a different place for some general maintenance a few months ago and it took 10 days for me to get it back. Here they were very quick and effective. They communicated very well and were friendly. I highly recommend.

Had high hopes. Service was good I guess. however, the customer service was garbage. I would rather go spend more money somewhere else

Had an error code for a o2 sensor. They said both upstream cats were failing. Had them both replaced with new sensors for $4000. I week later same error code came back. They replaced 1 of the new o2 sensors under warranty at no cost. 3 weeks later the same code came back and engine sounded loud. They said they didnt seal the cat correctly and it blew out its gasket. They say they did what they could to stop the leak and think they bent a flange during the repairs. They say if the same error code comes back i will need a new pipe. I asked if i would be charged and i couldnt get a straight answer. Said they would have to talk to the shop manager about it. I also was getting a misfire that they said would be $975.00 to fix. I took my car to Jacksons Auto on Irma Dr. And they repaired the misfire for $290.00. Waiting to see if the error code for the o2 sensor is finally gone for good or if its gonna come back....again....if it does come back on ill have to see if mountain view will stand behind their $4000 repair or if i have to take it to Jacksons to fix their repairs. Ill keep you updated

We took the Jeep to them previously for a separate issue, but realized the part was under warranty with Jeep (who only did the bare minimum). MVA was able to get us in same day. I had to have a new alternator, battery and miscellaneous things done. They kept me updated and the prices were less than I expected. They had my car done the next day. Quality service and fast. They didnt try to upsell me on services I didnt need but made recommendations to what I would need in the near future so I dont end up with a major car problem later. I was in and out with an oil change, the rotation, and fluids check in a little over 1hr. Nice waiting area with comfortable seating and they had a nice little Keurig coffee machine for customers to use.

I called to get an exact price for a transmission service to replace filter and fluids. The guy said they dont do a BG service but they use valvoline and i said thats fine. He said he will call me back. I never got a call back. Its been six days. I have done business in the past with them and this not like them. 2016 3500 6.0 vortec 6L90 transmission passenger van. I did check voice mail and nothing. Please respond let me know If you still want my business.

I found this place from a ValPak mailer! Turns out they’re from PA like me! They were very knowledgeable and professional- explained things to me like a human, not a dumb woman (you know what I mean ladies). They were upfront with costs, and time frame. I had to return for a follow up with a check engine light, and they stood by their word and warranty and corrected it at no additional cost. Plus they gave me a ride back home! Also did husband’s oil change and fixed his headlight- very reasonably priced and also usually has coupons on the website!

These guys saved my sanity, and my semester! The truck I live in was hit-and-run. I was intimidated about filing my first ever insurance claim, especially because I usually do my own auto work with friends and didnt have a relationship with a pro shop, but I wanted an inspection with the extra thoroughness that a pro shop provides. Mountain View was suggested to me, and Im beyond grateful for it! Not only were these guys incredibly reassuring the first time I spoke with them, but they also were very patient about holding onto my truck while I dealt with the claims process. They advocated to my insurance adjuster on my behalf, identified (and clearly explained) safety-related repairs that I needed beyond what the accident caused, helped me cherry-pick which work I needed them to do versus things I could do myself later, and then went even more above and beyond with gracious pricing so that I could afford the necessary urgent work (which was done awesomely quickly once the plan was decided).Jeremy, the shop manager, was the first staff member I spoke at length with, and hes the exact kind of experienced gruff hardened tradesman that puts one at ease. My ongoing main point of contact was Nate, who is also wonderfully knowledgable and kind; both guys really made me feel certain that they were looking out for my best interests. Further, they showed sincere concern about my dogs and me being displaced, and genuine joy when I assured them that wed been able to stay somewhere safe. Knowing my truck was in good hands (and that they were helping advocate about my claim) helped me be less stressed, which in turn helped me keep my semester grades up while the truck was dealt with.I cant thank MVA enough, or commend them highly enough. Im thrilled to have a relationship with this awesome shop now, and will absolutely continue shouting them from the rooftops, as well as returning to them in the future for all repairs I cant or dont want to handle myself!

I wrote a review a couple weeks back, giving them 3 stars, because my tires weren’t rotated, however after further inspection of their coupons, I realized it does state “free tire tire rotation (if needed)” my tires are fairly new, about 4K miles on them, so if they deemed I didn’t need it, I trust their judgement. I apologize for leaving such a poor review earlier, this place is legit and they did take care of me in a timely manner. I would recommend.

The belt tensioner assembly and serpentine belt needed replacement in our Toyota Siena. The service was performed quickly and our car was returned to us ASAP. Weve been using MVA for several years and always appreciate their quality work and their smiling, professional attitude.

This place is great! I feel like we finally found a trust worthy mechanic! My SO brought a civic here for an emissions issue. He was treated well and the repairs were done timely. He was only sold on the repairs to the CO2 sensor. He wasnt upsold, and even was shown how to do a few things himself. I referred my sister here to replace a water pump on our dads F150. They ended up finding a different issue which was a less expensive repair. I finally brought my car here for a brake job. The pricing was fair, dramatically less than I would have paid at the dealership. I wasnt up sold on anything else. And the communication was great!

Had my rear diff serviced, pinion seal replaced and oil change here. Set an appointment for the morning and was able to get a shuttle ride from Nate to my home. Was offered a ride for the next day to pick up my vehicle as well. Check out the website for coupons if you are going to head over as they do have some.

I was very impressed with their honest help. I had been told by a rep of national oil change company that the struts were leaking and needed replacing. I took my Jeep to Mountain View Automotive for an oil change. MVA was very friendly, helpful in answering all my questions and performed a timely oil change without trying to upsell me on anything with my vehicle. I will definitely be returning for more services on our various cars.

The quote they gave me over the phone was way too high so I had it towed to Alba’s auto. Mountain View gave me an estimate of $950 to replace my radiator. Come on man!! I knew that was a bad price but not this bad. Alba’s auto is doing the same job for $350.

They fixed my car for super cheap when another mechanic messed up.

New in town and I called a number of places around. This was one of the only ones that had a quote available for the services rendered. On top of that they had a convenience shuttle, and offered a free follow up service to ensure that the work performed is up to snuff.

Mountain View checked my drive shaft finding it was ok but let me know about having leaks and possible bad motor mounts . Be back to have them check leaks and fix what is needed I am very happy with the outcome so far

I call and talked with Mark and asked if they could get my F150 in for a general maintenance check. It has 120K miles and never been to a shop. Mark said bring it in and they would perform a 32 point inspection for free. I dropped it off the evening before the appointment and they were happy to do so. Cody called me the next morning by 9:30 and said he had finished the inspection. He told me what the truck needed for service. none of what he told me was unexpected since it had not been serviced in a 120,000 miles. He quoted me a price and I authorized the work. Cody called by by 12:00 the next day to tell me that all the work on my truck had been finished and I could pick it up at my convenience. I asked what the final cost was, he told me the same as what they had originally quoted. He also told me to be sure to check out their web site and the internet to find some money saving coupons. I was able to fine a coupon for 120.00 off. When I went to pick up my truck it was ready to go, and they accepted the coupon I had and explained all the work they did. every one was very pleasant and helpful. THANK YOU MVA.

I called to make a appt. to get emission diagnosis. The Gentleman who helped me said he could give me an appointment but that I Should call my dealership to see if it would be covered under my warranty. I did this and was able to save money on My car. I found this was a great way to handle business. Because of this I will definitely take my car in to Mountain View Automotive for any work to be done in the future. When I moved here from AZ I wanted to find an oil change place that I could trust as a single woman. I love their shuttle service, their front office staff & that several times my AC would make a rattle sound & I’d bring in & record & they couldn’t detect anything. They’ve never charged me for something they couldn’t find wrong or broken. These guys are like family! I referred my mom & I’ll refer anyone in surrounding cities. I’ve been going for 2+ years! I love the coupons they mail out & that they are honest, hard working staff that are true to their word. Thankful I found these guys!

Wonderful service! We were looking for a dependable mechanic now that we moved from out of state and found mountain view auto. Not only was it a fair price for the diagnostic, but they went above and beyond to take care of the issue we had (water pump, gasket, and transmission leak). Great Experience, one minor con!I called for an emergency fix on my vehicle. They were able to get my car in the next day. Even with the snowstorm they were able to complete the work on my car in the same day. (bent lower control arm) My car is riding better than when I was driving it before my accident. I appreciated the promptness and how they were detailed in their explanations. I would definitely visit this shop again. Everyone was kind and professional and I am glad to be out on the road with a safe vehicle again.The only con I have was I asked for an oil change along with my repairs and it got overlooked. This is not a major issue as the work and speed of the repairs on my car were stellar but I was looking forward to taking care of everything at once.

They do okay work, but for insane prices, and then dont leave you alone once you have gone there via email/mail. This place quoted me 7500 on a transmission, got it done over 3k cheaper and it came with a warranty (mountain view didnt offer one). What really got me to post this, is since I didnt choose them to do the repair, theyve been emailing/physically mailing me, hassling me about how my transmission needs to be replaced. Also the last email came in at 1:40AM, early Sunday morning, and there is no link to unsubsribe. They arent even open Sunday. I will not be returning.

This was the first time I used Mountain View Automotive, but my initial impression was very good. They really helped me out in a pickle and got my car up and running again. I didnt have any issues, but graded them a 4 because I thought the price of my battery was a little high, but I wasnt in a position to shop around so perhaps its OK. I also thought communication was OK, but could have been slightly better. However, Im happy I found them and do plan to use them again for my cars general maintenance.

As a female, I dread taking my truck anywhere because the reality is that many repair shops take advantage of women (or anyone really) who dont have the knowledge to know whats going on under the hood. I’m glad I took my 2006 focus ses zx4 for an oil change full synthetic Over there at Jiffy lube North of Washington charged me $63 and MVA $49.99 with honesty I recommend going to this place I’m glad the coolant flush wasn’t that upselled :)

Trust the reviews!! These guys are incredible. They quoted me a week to get my car fixed and had it done in a day, which is awesome. And not only did they fix what I brought it in for, but those magic fingers got rid of my Jeeps highway death wobble!
