I bought a car from them and Im still currently paying it off. But when I recently tried to buy a house I learned that they have not been reporting to my credit so I dont have enough credit to get a loan. When I called them they kept giving me the run around and said they were working on getting the problem fixed, but they never fixed it. They eventually just told me they cant do anything and I have to dispute it on my own. Not only did they do this to me but multiple other people have been affected. My sister had to dispute hers and she got it fixed, but now theyve stopped reporting again. So she has to go through the whole process again. I just dont understand how they think its okay to do this to someone. This is making it so hard for me to buy a house that its ridiculous. Just wanted to warn everybody that they are only looking out for themselves and dont care how it affects people.

If I I could give 0 stars, I definitely would. I went in looking to purchase a vehicle on 8/24. Before I could even test drive I was told I had to complete the application so I did that. I provided all requested documents, paystubs, bank statement, DL and my social security card which is weird! They even called my current job and the new job for verification. They even made me verify my identity asking personal questions, which I never had to do. So I told them I would be coming back the next morning to purchase. I get there today 8/25 the short black stout area manager said he had reviewed my documents and that he got me approved and to just bring my down payment after I came back from orientation because I was pushing for time. So after I leave orientation I’m headed back to the Lot to purchase my new vehicle. On the way there I receive a call from Linda saying she not able to put me in a vehicle, saying it don’t mean NO, just not right now. I said but the area manager already told me I was approved, she gone say well he didn’t review the documents. These people full of it!! Why waste my time, asking for all my personal information and tell me I’m approved just to tell me I’m not! That’s some bogus BS! I asked why I wasn’t approved she said I will receive a letter in the mail. Do not recommend at all!

I had the car almost 4 days, I recently just purchased a car from public automotive a blue 2017 Kia Forte and I am not happy with what I saw inside the car . I got the car and pretty much feel Disgusted cause I didn’t know they sold me a car that has roaches in it and as I pulled the back seat up more bugs came out . I have sprayed over and over and over . I have even complained about it to them, all they could say well we can’t do nothing about it but clean it .. I have never never never never in life felt so disappointed in car sales or car dealership Community . I am a first time customer with these people and i will not send anyone to purchase a vehicle from them. This is very disappointing I am not a happy customer. .. I feel digested. This is my first time with a car like this . These people would have not sold any of their family members a car that has roaches in it . I have ask to be put in something else but I got turned down . I have updated the photos and most recent one .

In the past hadnt really found a dealership that wanted to work with us due to our credit til one day my husband was told about public automotive and we gave them a try. We were suprised and very appreciative of the Great service! We told them our down payment and what we could pay each month, We were placed in a vehicle! Love it! I was here with my boyfriend today when he purchased a car. The Staff is friendly, good natured and really seem to enjoy their work. They really help you getting into a new (to you) car TODAY even if youve got credit issues or repos on your record. I was very impressed that there was zero judgment and that he was still treated with the same respect as someone with a perfect credit and financial history. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars, is because the selection was - in my opinion- a little small.

Horrible horrible customer service. I called about making an arrangement and they were incredibly rude!!! They made a clerical error regarding my income and now are saying I can’t make an arrangement. Mind you they going off my disability income. My car payment is 60% of what I get. What finance company is going to approve that deal? They pretending like I never had a job. I never made excuses. I just wanted to know how long the repo process would take. Instead of answering my question, they tried to down talk me and make me feel bad. Just terrible. Michael, the guy I spoke to, he should be fired. With his attitude the whole business ought to burn down. He’s trash!!! I’ll tell the world this place is trash for treating me the way they did.

Rush you into a car without making sure they are, they do not make sure cars running properly. Most cars need a lot work and they aren’t willing to work w you on repairs / take forever and treat you like anything once they get you into a car

The one in Temple Tx off 1st street Sold me a lemon, had the car for 2 months. It completely stopped on me and started smoking. Been having my car for 3 weeks going on 4 weeks! Keep giving me the run around about the repairs and not communicating at all with me. I have to call them over and over! The manager is always so called “busy”. NOT PROFESSIONAL!

Starting off, The way most of the cars run are horrible. The guys that work here dont check them thoroughly. The batteries in the vehicles are not that great either. When I pass by this place I am almost always seeing someone jumping off a car. Public was also in the local news not to long ago it was not for anything good. You guys would get zero out of five stars if it was a option. I have had multiple friends/family members buy cars off your lot and had to almost instantly take them to the mechanics for odd engine sounds, bad battery, door frame poorly installed, a.c didnt work, engine died. These are just to name a few.
