I am writing this for my sister-in-law. We had a great experience purchasing her new CX-5 this past week. Drew Cizek was our sales rep and I cant say enough good things about the way we were treated. We liked a vehicle on the lot, but it wasnt a preferred color. Drew arranged a dealer transfer and her vehicle arrived in two days with no extra charges. Garlyn Shelton is to be commended for not tacking on a bunch of dealer extras. Drew made us aware of those extras; however, he did not pressure us to purchase them. The car was ready for delivery a few days later and the final numbers were exactly as quoted from earlier in the week. Friendly service, no pressure and no mandatory extras. Other dealerships in the area need to take lessons from Garlyn Shelton and Drew Cizek.

I got my car serviced today. Unlike other Mazda service center, they did not make and unnecessary recommendation. I just had tire changed so wheel alignment was suggested. Also, Complementary Car wash there. Overall, the service was good but I would recommend calling them to see wait time for the oil change if you are planning to wait there. And check the price on their website for services like wheel alignment, tire rotation etc. In my case, price they quoted was more than the price mentioned on the website.

The manager and staff have all been very pleasant. This company have gone above and beyond to fit us in the vehicle we applied for. When they found out the vehicle had a few issues they went out of their way to take care of them and some of these things they are not required to do. I could not be more impressed and yet happier with the business done here. I absolutely recommended doing business here and will be a repeating customer.

I got my used car from here about a year ago and recommended it to a lot of my coworkers, one of which actually later purchased a car here. The salesmen are great and accommodating.However.. I’d advise you NOT to get your car serviced here. They had me sign a document that stated completely different prices ($30.95 total) before getting my car serviced and once it was completed they charged me $172.22.I understand charging for labor etc, but the prior document was completely misleading. I would have rather had an accurate estimate. When I asked the service advisor about the discrepancy he responded “well it costs money” which came off as very condescending. He also stated that it just prints like that. I’m not exactly sure what that means. Anyways stick to smaller car shops for anything that needs servicing/fixing unless you have a warranty. Lesson learned.

This message is for the owners of Mazda and owner of Garlyn Shelton . I am submitting a review/complaint on the service departments unprofessionalism towards my business as a very loyal custom. I will be submitting my experience via all sites that welcome reviews/complaints. I purchased two vehicles in April 2018 within 24 hours apart, thus showing my loyalty to this dealership, although I have hundreds of places to choose from. I also take the trip to Temple to get both vehicles serviced even though I can go to shops much closed. At this time I do not have my vehicle back from service and I am not only upset about that but that I wasnt even notified by the shop that it would be there overnight. My vehicle had a warning message on the dash that recommended that it be taken to a dealership immediately, I made my appoint for Wednesday, 22 Sept at 0900. Okay I understand that the call center operators dont have nor provide information to inform customers on what to bring to the shop but someone could at least have a service advisor call the customer to maybe let them know based off of the issues they are having with the vehicle, that they might need to bring like in my case both key fobs. I get to the shop and I am immediately told that I have to drive all the way back to my sons school in Killeen and get him out of class to get the spare fob. This interferes with my gas, work etc, because no one took the time to research what was needed from the start of this. So after a few hours I called my warranty company and the service department to give them my contract number in which no advisor was available. I gave the call center my warranty information to pass on to the service advisor and around 3:30 Mike calls me and asks for the same information again stating it was incorrect and I never heard from him again. Apparently Mike was off today 23 Sept, so I get a call around 8:45 AM from Chris telling me my car is ready and the bill is $ 400 plus. I asked him what happened to the warranty company since no one called me back yesterday for an update nor that my car would be there over night, I dont think that was asking too much. So there is a lot of miscommunication going on and no one knows what happened to the follow up from the day prior. At this point I am no longer patient and it feels as though they feel that this whole ordeal isnt a big screw up of miscommunication and lack of concern for the customer. I dont need apologies for anyones poor customer service support. I wont be going back to this dealership and I will take my business somewhere that actually puts the customer first.

Guys in the service department are very courteous. Oil change and tire rotation were completed in two hours on a Friday afternoon when they were very busy. Service advisor immediately knew what the problem was for my passenger door that wasn’t opening smoothly. He fixed that as well. Thank you!

Garlton Shelton Maza dealership. I had 10k in my back pocket (they didnt know) I had a trade in which they said was worth 13k. I brought all income ppw. I was a woman alone. They snubbed me. Dont really know why. They didnt even run my credit. They didnt even bother when we could go through my own bank. I actually probably could have paid cash if I wanted to. They were very rude to me. I think they are very sexist and discriminatory towards me.

Wanted to buy a leased Mazda that I was a co-signer on that was ending and asked for the final total amount to bring in.At first they said they were working on it getting the numbers and then after a day leter decided to tell me that legally they cannot proceed further without talking to the person on the lease.Disappointing since this would have been an easy sale and all I was asking for was the out the door price so I could go get the check from the bank. I even provided a bank document with proof that it was my account. I guess they did not believe me or because it was co-signed they decided it was to complicated.Either way, waste of time after initially telling me it would be no problem! Anyhow, I dont buy the reason they could not give me a total was for legal reason!? Since when is adding tax and title a legal matter?Ridiculous.

The work they do is ok. The front desk and internal communication is terrible. I had gotten an estimate for repairs Monday morning and called Monday afternoon to change the repairs I was getting done. When I went Wednesday morning to turn the car in they had not gotten my message from their front desk and the person behind the counter tried to pressure me into getting all the repairs done since I had signed a contract. I said I had called that afternoon to change my order and as far as I know texas has a 24 hour window to change your mind on any contract.The whole exchange left a bitter taste in my mouth and I will never go back.

After totaling my car I was thinking I was going not have a car for a while until I could save up but I was able to drive of in a 2019 Volkswagen Jetta which compared to my last car is definitely an upgrade! They did the best they could and ended up helping me a lot more than they think! Definitely recommend, even if your hesitant because maybe you’re credit is as good or you don’t have much to put down they will definitely do what they can to get you to be able to leave with a car!

Very smooth and enjoyable process from start to finish. I was able to work through the majority of the transaction online and came into the dealership on Saturday to pretty much sign paperwork and drive away. Summer was a huge help online and Drew gave a great rundown of the car and helped me through the end process once I arrived at the dealer.I live in South Austin and the drive to Temple was worth it. Whole process was more smooth than the other dealers I was trying to work with in Austin and San Antonio area.

Zach (salesperson) and Landon (finance manager) were efficient and professional. They beat the price offered by my local dealership (Mazda South). They also offered much better service. In fact they helped me realize that Mazda South had lied to me during the lease process so I brought my car back to Mazda south and got a car from these guys instead. They were such a pleasure to deal with! Ill definitely get my next car from them. I especially appreciated their speed in dealing with my requests and their no-nonsense approach. I had what I thought was a decent deal at Mazda South in Austin until my wife spotted the same vehicle at Garlyn Shelton Mazda in Temple for $3000 less. Mazda South wouldnt budge so I walked. I drove my new car home the next day from Garlyn Shelton Mazda to Austin having saved thousands of dollars and getting what I wanted for my trade-in. They couldnt have made the experience any easier. I have purchased 5 vehicles in Texas at DriversSelect, EchoPark, Toyota of Fort Worth and now Garlyn Shelton Mazda. Altogether I visited about 25 dealerships and had a chance to learn some bad games played by certain dealerships (the worst is unbeatable Clay Cooley Nissan with $2000 extra fee).Garlyn Shelton Mazda shines the positive light at how your vehicle purchase should look like, it is the best experience I could expect! I will certainly come back for another car.The quality, free certified warranty, seller experience, and individual approach to customers is just unique. While I am from another town, I will be going here for service as well. My seller Caleb Klous did excellent job. Terrible Under Warranty Service. I took my Mazda 3 with less than 25,000 miles on it to this dealership when the transmission went out, because the warranty covers a tow to the closest service department. They told me they didnt have any loaners, so I would have to rent a car (covered under the warranty). They gave very few updates and didnt let me know when the car would be ready so I could extend my rental. They only responded to the messages I left after calling the Mazda customer support line.After over 2 weeks I finally picked up my car and brought my documentation to process the rental reimbursement. The dealership told me that this would be processed through the Mazda customer experience line. I called the customer support line and emailed them all my documents. After a few weeks, I called the customer experience line and was told that the dealership was responsible for reimbursing me and should have contacted me. They contacted the dealership and said the service manager would call me back the next day. Its a week later and I havent heard anything from the dealership. I have to again call the customer service line and hope they can get the dealership to respond. This is the worse experience Ive had with any Mazda service department Ive ever used. The service department at the dealership where I bought my car in Dallas has always been responsive and done good work. I would not purchase a car from Garlyn and would certainly avoid their service department.

In August of 2017 I purchased a 2017 Mazda 3 Sport with a manual transmission from Garlyn Shelton Mazda. Jonathan A. was the Salesman and Jake T. was the Sales manager. Both of them were very friendly and responsive. I was able to negotiate a sales agreement by phone and email. I live in the Houston area. The car was the only 2017 Mazda 3 Sport with a manual transmission available in Texas so it was not practical for me to visit the dealership in person to see the car and negotiate the deal. They emailed be a purchase agreement a few days before I was scheduled to pick up the car. Upon arrival the car was exactly as promised and the purchase agreement was honored without any attempt to upsell anything. The deal included a a third remote keyless entry device and this was mailed to me with my steel plates about a month later. The Garlyn team was easy to deal with, very friendly and professional. I would buy from them again without hesitation. Thank you and Good Luck! My wife loves the Mazda 3 Sport!

I bought a Mazda from them and they talked me into a tire warranty I got a flat while driving and they will not cover the tire because I drive on the tire it went flat while I was driving. That makes no sense the tire is still great condition. I would not recommend them for a vehicle very rude and unprofessional. I have been up there multiple times for issues and Eric Lopez is very rude and don’t want to ever deal with him again.

Took in our car for a regular check-up and we get it back with three huge dings in the back side of the car on the trunk. We cleaned out the trunk minutes before driving it over to the dealer- no dings, but the mechanic claims they were already there. If you want to bring in your car for anything, expect it to be returned with scratches, dings, etc. Not taking my business here again.

I went for diagnostic as autoparts told me i could have a bad alternator. They ran diagnostic and told me alternator is good but battery is bad. Well i just purchased the battery a day ago. Went to my mechanic and autoparts both told me battery is running good. I paid $75 to know that stuff and to clean my battery terminal. Im sad coz this is my car manufacturer. Will not come back here.
