This is the BEST optometry office I have ever been to. The staff is beyond incredible and Dr Wink is wonderful! After not seeing an eye doctor in over 15 years, I was truly amazed at how patient and professional both Vanessa, in particular because thats who I dealt with from start to finish, (although Sabrina was warm and friendly too!) and Dr Wink were. I would recommend that if youre in need of an optometrist, theres no better place than Temecula Valley Optometry!!

I decided to come here after researching Optometrists in Temecula/Murrieta online. Looking at reviews and everything. This placed interested me the most so I decided to give them a try. Ive had my fair share of optometrists, and this has been my BEST experience hands down. Acknowledged immediately upon entrance with a greeting and smile. Arrived a bit earlier than my appointment time, so I asked if I could take a look around at the lenses while I waited. I like that theyve taken the proper precautions during this pandemic. Masks required, social distance markers, and properly cleaning lenses that have been touched. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time I was browsing.I was called in by Dr. Wink right at my scheduled appointment time. Right off the bat, I could already tell he was a great guy. Loved his energy. Great conversationalist. Ive had so many experiences of awkward/forced conversations during these appointments, but not here. He was genuinely a joy to be around. Took maybe 30 minutes at the most. Left, and I already had my lenses chosen so the process to get my glasses was quick as well. Unfortunately I cant remember the name of the front desk/receptionist, but she was as great as Dr. Wink. Overall, an amazing experience here!! Highly recommended to everyone! They just earned themselves a client for the next coming years!

Went there for the first time today and thought that the doctor was very knowledgeable and he was definitely able to help me out. Why I can’t give a perfect review is that I felt like he wasn’t super efficient with cleaning in between patients. I was very careful to not get my face too close to anything because I did notice they were not super clean (one instrument actually had what looked like mascara on it). So...yeah. During a pandemic no less, cleaning should be made more of a priority in between patients.I hate saying that because I really liked him and the office. It could have just been a one time thing, I’m not sure, but that was just my experience!

Very friendly, quick and caring. Our stepson was able to be seen today just to check his prescription. Our older son was gifted a small gift personally dropped off from the doctor - just because his birthday fell during the COVID19 stay at home order and was not able to celebrate with friends. We appreciate this office and the care for our boys.

BEST eye doctor ever! I have been seeing Dr. Wink my entire life! I cant imagine seeing any other eye doctor. He is completely though. When I got diagnosed with Ehlers danlos several years ago, he took out the books and looked to see if that can affect my eyes. Did testing. That was such a special thing for him to do for me. I drop off my frames and get the new prescription in. They always take very good care of everything and my frames are always returned looking brand new. I love this place.

From the moment I entered the office (although it is difficult to find but dont give up) to the end when I received my glasses I would give the experience an 11 out of 10. Very complete eye exam (I have had 55 years of exam experience). The glasses are perfect. There are probably more than 1 doc who gives good exam. What really differentiates this experience is Dr. Winkelsteins staff. They make you feel welcome. They remember your name. You are not a number. They LISTEN. They follow-up. They keep their promises. I do not believe I have had an exam experience as perfect as this. So drive around...get a latte at East Coffee (much easier to find) then find Dr. Winkelsteins office a bit further on Pauba and treat your eyes well.

Very nice office, everyone is great there! I went into the office for only my second time ever and everyone there, including Dr. Wink, instantly made me feel like I was a regular. They are honest and there is no pressure to get new glasses. He said my eyes hadnt changed much and it was up to me if I wanted to get new glasses and left it at that. No pressure. I am bringing my son there for his first check- up right before kindergarten. I always recommend him to friends.

I am only writing this review for the FRONT OFFICE, not the dr. The Dr is amazing and makes you feel comfortable. However I think he needs to hire a new front office, I had my eye exam two weeks ago and Ive been waiting for a call back from Nicole in regards to my insurance. I have called her five times and she has not given me a call back not even once, she told me she will call me back and NEVER does, which is super irritating and not professional. I work in a dental office and we verify benefits ahead of time, I have no issues getting ahold of my insurance but its like pulling hair to make her call them which is her JOB. Once again I called yesterday and spoke to a different lady and never got a call back. I have been waiting to get a new pair of glasses this whole time. This has been an awful experience I have ever had at this office. I cant believe how unprofessional and disturbing it is that this front office is so lazy. Thanks for nothing! Now I cant even get new glasses that I have been waiting patiently for, I have given her multiple chances and Ive had enough. I will go ahead and make a report to medical board of CA.

My experience at the Office could have been better. A misunderstanding occurred regarding the $159 Frames that turned out to be NOT covered by my Insurance but front Desk did not know why. Came to find out after the fact that had I waited another few days to order them, they would have been covered. Unfortunately, I was never made aware of the fact that I did have some flexibility as to when I could order the Frames. I thought that Office would meet me half way but no, Dr Wink did not return any of my emails.

Dr. Wink is the best!!! I was hesitant about trying a new kind of contact lens and he talked me into it, best choice ever! He goes above and beyond to be helpful, a great doctor!

I loved my experience in Dr. Winkelsteins office. From the moment I walked in, I felt I was in good hands. The vision portion of my insurance had recently changed and was clearly informed about it, as much as you can be. Another patient was being fitted for glasses while I was waiting and she and the technician were laughing and talking like old friends. When the patient got up to leave she commented that was fun, something not usually associated with fitting glasses or dr. appointments. Dr. Winkelstein is very friendly and put me at ease. We had a great conversation during my exam. He was thorough and knowledgeable in his exam and I fell I got great care. I highly recommend Dr. Winkelstein!!!!

This is not about the doctor. I never got a chance to meet him but the staff there has not got it together. They basically lied to me when making an appointment over the phone a week prior to my appointment. I explained my situation with my insurance saying I was referred by a friend who knew how to use our insurance Adventist health so I dont have to pay everything out of pocket for it. They will charge me my copayment. So I go in there today and the staff girl Maggie has no idea about anything and says I will have to pay for everything up front. I was there to get a new subscription for my daughter. I told her the gal I spoke to about my situation knew how to bill my insurance but she didnt want to hear it. She wouldnt let me speak to anyone about it nor did she check with anyone about what I was talking about. She sat there stubbornly acting like I was trying to get something free. So I left. So basically I just wasted my time. I understand that my insurance is different, not your average provider, but dont agree to work with someone and say they can do it, no problem and then not follow through. So frustrated especially when being glared at by a receptionist like Im trying to swindle them.

He’s a great optometrist and a great guy.
