This place has a really great concept and makes things very easy! I was able to get in and out in a couple hours with a great vehicle with no commitment to any long term loan or crazy interest rate! RTO Tampa provided me with a great late model car. They have all late model cars to choose from. Both Ron and Tony were good. They were not pushy salesmen. I was desperate for a vehicle and they put me in one but at what cost? I definitely over Paid in my monthly payments and was unable to afford the repair cost for the broken a/c that happened only a couple months after i got the car. If you are truly desperate and this is your last option- maybe but avoid them if you can, just being honest about my experience.

Luis helped me by being friendly until I got there, then only had one selection with 190,000 miles, broke driver side lock, broke tail light, broke head light, no spare or key lock. 500 a month and in 6 weeks a head cracked and the jeep was dead. No loaner, someone else had a broke transmission. 2-3 weeks at least to get the jeep and my choices for replacement on the lemon they sold was walk home in the rain and keep paying for the jeep or a whole new down payment on another vehicle. Just sorry, thats the way it is, can we have more money. Worst service, worst cars and they will give you a broken car, wait for it to stop and make you do another payment or youre screwed. Run as fast as you can from this place. I lease cars across the nation for medical travel professionals and we use almost everyone and have corporate accounts with all. This is the only place I wont let friends, family or coworkers go to. Better Business Bureau notified !!!!!

Just make sure you go over every detail especially about the rent to own, total of the vehicle and cents per mile. Otherwise then that it was an experience.

Complete nightmare. The staff are good people but the business and it’s practices are a complete failure. I purchased a vehicle last year, paid on time, never late, never gave any issues. After 6 months, I had to replace the radiator in the vehicle I had, last week - the air compressor went bad and that had to be replaced. I waited at the office for 6 hours while the vehicle was being repaired, was told “the air is working and it’s nice and cold”. Finally complete, 30 minutes before their business closed. Took the vehicle for a test drive after the repair and it was still hot. Took it directly back to the shop and told them the air was still blowing hot air not cold. They then come back with “The compressor is bad and also needs to be replaced”. By this time, their office hours were ending and to add insult to injury, the part needed for my vehicle also was not available in any local store for quick delivery. I had a vacation scheduled the next day (already paid for) and opted to take a 7 hour drive IN HOT FLORIDA with no working AC on a car I fully paid its rental fee for just the week prior. At no point did they offer me a loaner vehicle or a different car for my troubles.If you think this is horrible. Just wait! Keep reading, it gets worse. In the midst of this, my insurance company (Geico) raised my insurance due to its renewal, therefore I opted to purchase a different insurance that was more affordable through StateFarm. I received a message from Rent to Own Auto Centers stating that my insurance lapsed and my vehicle has been turned off. YES, after all I’ve dealt with the past few days with this company. No warning, no nothing. I spoke to the secretary, nice young lady, and told her my insurance never lapsed I just have a different insurance company. She told me “no worries” she will call and verify the insurance information I provided for her. She called me back 5 minutes later and stated “StateFarm is not an insurer that their company accepts”. Unbelievable. So not only was I indebted in this non working vehicle, but I just paid insurance and they wanted me to pay to switch insurance again as they do not support StateFarm for some unknown reason. I was paying $220 biweekly on this car, having issue after issue that needed to be fixed that cost me MORE money, and then they wanted me to dish out more $ to switch insurance again in the same week. Absurd! I told the young lady I was done. Asked them to come get their vehicle and I went and purchased a vehicle at Carmax.The way this company handled me as a customer was not only unprofessional, but wrong. I manage a business and would NEVER treat a customer this way. Especially a good customer who was always polite and paid on time.If you’re in the market for a vehicle. You will pay a lot of money here and the service will not match the money that you spend. RUN! And run QUICKLY. Spend your hard earned money somewhere where they value your business because Rent to Own Auto Centers is not it.

DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE! They look for people who are desperate and cant get anything else, so they can charge them an arm and a leg to drive off in a car that turns out to be $40,000, after youre done making payments. I had my car for 12hrs before finding out that its roach infested and all they had to offer was food to kill the roaches. I was pulled over that night because my brake light was out and Im sitting in here as Im writing this, missing hours from work because theyre service department isnt opened on the weekends. You would think that as Im sitting here, Id be asked how things are going, but the already know and they arent going to do anything to fix it so I guess theyd rather not bother. My car lags and my horn doesnt work. Theyre telling me they have to order another part for my horn, so I have to miss work again to come bacj and get it fixed. Tony the Tiger is Tony the fraud. Hes all sweet and friendly until he swipes your card and prints out your paperwork. I just hate that Im dealing with this company. My contract is all over the place. Im paying $402 every 2 weeks for a roach infested, overpriced, 2014 Ford focus that doesnt even drive the way its supposed to. They swiped my card for $1,182 and they refuse to refund me if i bring back the car so Im stuck! & on top of that, they limit you to 2,500 miles per month. This place is a disgrace. I promise theres other rent to own places in Tampa that dont try to get over. I found out after the fact. Please weigh out your options.

Total scam! Every car is $24,000 in Payments. $270 every 2 weeks or more, plus they will con you into insurance that will raise the payments over $400 every 2 weeks. The down payments they just pull out of the air and try to con you into putting a ton of cash down. This is the worst place to get a car in Tampa. Be warned, total scam!

Stay away everyone you will pay 44,000 for a car worth 10,000,they disable your vehicle if your 5 days late. Only 2500 miles a month you can drive.they have a gps on car and trace your every move and track your miles driven using gps.i repeat runnnn!!!!!!!!!!!

Lease a 2015 Mazada 5 min van, and I had a impeccable experience. Staff were knowledgeable and very professional providing customer service.Biweekly payment is high, however its worth the payment due to the fact they take on most of the risk and are responsible for maintaining States fees and servicing with no additional cost to you unless you inquire toll fees or go over your assign mileage. All you do is insure, gas and take care of of the car.They do what they adervertise.. no credit check instant approval no matter what your situation and you can return or change your vehicle anytime with no damage to your credit.However company have 0 Torrance in no payment but indeed provide grace period. Cars are pre own but are in good condition.Issue : payment options are limited either in office or over the phone. However; they ensure high level protection to ensure the protection of your credit card details.. would recommend to do business for serious person

I had an initial awesome experience when Pete was the there. Fast forward a few yrs, I fell on hard times temporarily. They repod the car and threw away all of my personal belongings including items that cant be replaced, my birth certificate, passport, things for my business, etc. I was told they would hold onto my stuff until I got there, fast forward 3-4wks.... I get up there return the key and they tell me my stuff was discarded. After the treatment by the new management, I go out of my way to hurt them now. If you are in need of a vehicle, contact me. I have a better program thats not as pricey and they actually respect their longtime customers.I cant reply to your comment, but that wasnt 30 days. I even processed a payment the same day the car was repod. Your staff was aware of my frequent traveling. The gos was removed so that the car could be moved to a safe location, not to be take advantage of you guys. I may have been late, but I always paid. I sent business there and this was mainly about the lose of my personal and business effects. That WAS NOT 30 days. I hope you have documentation of when I came in there. It was 3 wks. How the hell is throwing away sensitive information into the regular dumpster safe for everyone? Thats exactly how identities get stolen.
