Maybe it just me. I really wasnt going to write a review of my experience with this company since I didnt have any work completed by them. A friend suggested I check these guys out, so I did. I asked for an estimate regarding a complete paint job my car. Im still giggling about the price I was quoted. I didnt squabble, I had other estimates from other paint shops, so I just walked away. And I thought Maacos estimate was high. Geez... I mentioned the price to my friend who had suggested these guys, he laughed and said are you kidding me. It must have been me.The one thing I want to say is, before you get an estimate from these guys make sure you do your due diligent and get multiple estimates from other competitors before making your decision.

This shop was super on my Pontiac. My car is as older model with super low miles and Ive driven to car meets where it gathered much attention.So after it was hit and damaged I wished to bring it back to perfection, and Lakes Body shop did just that. The color matching was perfect and it looks like a new car again.Cindy kept me informed during the time it was in the shop and they were all very professional. This is the shop you want if you are a perfectionist with your car.

We had a great experience with a repair on our truck. They were quick to give me a detailed quote, I agreed, they kept the truck for a few days and then it came out as new. And on top of that it was cheaper then expected. Highly recommend.

Called to get a quote for something I wont pay to have fixed when I found out how much it will cost. However, that being said, the staff I spoke to was polite and understanding of my issue. If the repairs were less than I paid for my beater vehicle I absolutely would have had it repaired here.

Everyone at Lakes Body Shop is friendly, professional, and customer focused. I was originally referred by my sister(She had body work done on her vehicle) after I was in a rear-end collision in April. The day I picked up the vehicle it was cleaned out and the outside body work looked really great! I left a very happy customer. Fast forward not even a month later, I had to return due to a reputable- well known tire center dropping my vehicle off the jacks. The incident caused some minor damage to my passenger side of the car. Once again, dropped the vehicle off for repairs returned yesterday to pick my vehicle up-left a very happy customer.Im sure plenty of body shops do great work in the area, however if you are looking for a body shop that does great work AND great customer service by people that genuinely care- I recommend Lakes Auto Body.

Joe at Lakes autobody has really taken care of me. I’ve had a few people hit my car in the last two years and I’ve had a visit Joe three times for being rear ended, one person tried to drive under my truck, and another was a hit-and-run. The car always looks so great when I pick it up. Joe has been absolutely phenomenal in communication and suggestions. I take it back to Lakes because I know that the job is going to be done right every single time and they employ great people like Joe to ensure customer service.

I want to say a HUGE THANKS to Lakes Auto Body for doing such an amazing job on my Camaro not only once but twice within 4 months. I was in two accidents that were both not my fault and I thought my car was going to be totalled. But Lakes fixed her up and made her beautiful once again. Speacial thanks to Joe whom Im assuming is the manager or owner, for going above and beyond for me at a very upsetting time and gave me a rental car and put my mind at ease, when I couldnt afford one. I was a pest because my car is my life and he never once got mad at me for calling and was completely sincere. 40 years my go to body shop

Cindy and the team did an excellent job repairing damage from a deer hitting my car! Kept us up to date on progress and the final job looked awesome! Very professional and good at what they do, highly recommend!

My go to collision repair center in the Lakewood and Tacoma area. They have fixed a minivanvan some kids tried to torch with a rag in the gas tank, a brand new GMC truck a navy guy tried to peel the front off of, and installed a custom grill on the wifes new SUV for half price. No matter what your budget or need, get a hold of Lakes Body Shop because they provide outstanding customer service. As a Registered Nurse I understand how to anticipate needs and take care of my patients in a way that makes them feel cared for, and the hard working men and women at Lakes Body Shop made me feel taken care of through each insurance claim process. They addressed questions and concerns when they arose and guarantee all of their work. I recommend them to anyone I talk to and will continue to do business with them in the future. Very happy with my experience at Lakes. They did a great job fixing my front bumper and completed the work on time. They also coordinated directly with the insurer regarding payment. All in all, great work, quick, and convenient.

Lakes auto body shop has the worst customer service. The manager of the place called me to berate me over their bad customer service. I will not take my business there anymore and I suggest you take your business elsewhere. Poor professional attitude from the manager to call me and criticizes me about their poor customer service.

Cindy was awesome. She had the estimate on my car done same day as I dropped off my car. She stayed in contact every step of the way and let me know what was going on. Super friendly staff and they even called enterprise for me so I didnt have to 🤗

The lady at the front desk has a personality that is mediocre at best. No one wants to be a customer at an auto body facility, it means something happened to their vehicle and it may or may not have been devastating to them. This shop needs more friendliness.

Scott Harlow listened to my concerns and addressed all of my needs. My 2016 Sonata looks amazing after repairs ( maybe even better! ). They even furnished me with one of their shop rentals for half of what the other rental chains would charge. Outstanding service.

STAY AWAY FROM THEM. I’m confused how this horrible place has good ratings? I’ve never seen such a bad job from an auto body shop. So many problems and things I could go on and on about but let’s just say they’re trash and don’t let them touch your car. They don’t care about anyone or your car!!

They did a fantastic job on my car and quickly too as a matter of fact. Their rental rates are better than everyone elses as well. Not only that, but their response rate and customer service has been fantastic. Im really glad theyre a part of my insurances preferred spot for fixers or Id probably still be without a car today.

I must say that I am very impressed w the work they do! They fixed my boyfriends truck dent and you will never tell there was ever a dent there before. Happy costumer!

Just called, was told to call Kimballs as we have an ambulance that we need painted. Was treated on phone like I inconvenienced her, stated needed ambulance painted she told me that I would need to bring down, I understand this but was trying to explain that our vehicle is a service one and is used daily making it more difficult to take out of service for something that if it couldnt be handled would keep us from using it. I have pics and measurements and if I could send to someone could determine if would fit in the bays before we take the vehicle out of service for that time. She wouldnt let me explain so I just hung up. Not customer friendly at all.

Pleasant experience from start to finish. They did excellent work on replacing a ruined quarter panel. Paint job was superb, they even buffed out unrelated scratches free of charge. Detailed the interior better than most places Ive ever been to.

I was told to use another body shop by my insurance. I went there got an estimate and was not impressed with the customer service. I went to Lakes body shop in Lakewood and they were very nice and the customer service was great they were even nice to my child who needed a nap really bad. They gave me an estimate explained how they would repair my car ( and it was the correct way to repair it unlike the other body shop) in that moment I knew they cared about the work they do and the customers they work for. Thank you for the great job and all the hard work you guys did the car looks great.

I took my 92 Corvette to have work done for a Progressive insurance claim. Not only did they not provide me any documentation as to the work that needed to be done but they refuse to work with Progressive. I would not recommend this shop. They will want to start charging you storage if the insurance company takes too long with their estimate and authorization for repairs. There are better more reliable shops all over Tacoma that will treat you better Lakes Auto Body.

I am so impressed!!! After a major surprise this morning on I5 I found myself in need of auto repair. Lakes was referred by my insurance. From the first phone call to coming in to drop off my car, the Customer Service I have received has been TOP QUALITY!! I love that they have cars to rent as well. Id give them 10 stars if I could.

I recently used Lakes Body Shop due to minor fender bender/scrape on my read bumper. The at fault drivers insurance recommended this place and it was near my work.The insurance had already informed them I was planning on using their services to get the repair and they called me in advance to confirm when I would be arriving.They are very prompt, courteous, and willing to go the extra mile for customers. I had to keep my car there for a few days and had to use a car rental service. They called them up to schedule a pick up but they were busy, so the people at Lakes Body Shop drove me to the car rental place.I wasnt expecting that at all. They fixed my car within a few days time and they also cleaned and washed my car. I wasnt expecting that either. I dont expect extra service from many places these days, so actually receiving these sorts of things is refreshing and reassuring that good service still exists.The repair is fine and everyone there was friendly and made me feel satisfied.

The folks at Lakes have it together and take great care of you. My experience with them was top notch and I will return there if I have the need for body work. The work on my car was great quality, the people are friendly and they plan and communicate well.

Great service that I trust. Took my new car (leased) in for minor repairs from a rear end collision. Looks like it was never even scratched. I was concerned that if the repairs are not up to standards of the leasing company when I turn it in, will they repair it again at no additional cost to me. They said their work carried a lifetime guarantee. Ive been there before a couple years ago and I will go back for future needs.

The body work done on my car was amazing looks new thanks for that! On another note my car will not start right and my key was messed up when I got the car back called to talk to Kenny about my issue he is so unprofessional he said that I’m on speakerphone and the whole office is listening to me I was only asking for help my car did not do this before and then I asked if the owner would contact me never happened I’m so done will never use this place again! My insurance paid a lot of money they also said they would detail my car because it was gross on the inside after they were in it Kenny said they don’t do that well put covers on the seats really and Kenny grow up You made me feel as if your whole office was attacking me by saying that you put me on speakerphone and everyone is listening to me and then yelling at me!

Stopped by for an estimate on getting my fender& bumper replaced and painted. The quick estimate was $2500 - $3000, which I think was a bit overpriced considering I was able to get a better offer from a reputable shop.

Ive, unfortunately, had to have to use Lakes services for auto body work twice in the last three years. I say unfortunately because who wants to be in a position that their car needs body work done. Fortunately, I had the work done at Lakes. Both times my car came out looking like new. These guys do a fantastic job, are extremely professional and I have also referred three people I know there in need of auto body work and they were all also very pleased with the work. Hopefully Ill not need their services anytime soon, however, if I do, it will be back to Lakes for me.

Good work and great customer service

Here are the reasons (short version) for my 1 star. Vehicle not ready when promised. Repair to the right rear door not 100% after 3 tries, even after Kenny the Owner got involved. After the 2nd try, I was told that the repair will never be 100% so I got the insurance company involved. After the 3rd try, the glass was scratched. I finally took the truck to the dealer to finish the job Lakes Body Shop was paid for. The insurance company paid more money for this, which in the end will come back to me. Never once did the Owner or anyone there apologize for this ordeal. Thank you.

I went in to pay for a repair on someone elses vehicle. They were helpful but I dont know their quality of work because it wasnt my vehicle....

Brought my GMC Jimmy in to have the torn sheet metal around the driver side door striker repaired. Not only did they fix it but they went the extra mile and reinforced it using thicker metal as a back plate. They did a great job for a fair price. I usually dont do reviews but they earned a 5 star review from me!

Super friendly and straight-forward costumer service. I was still a little dazed from the accident when Joe Brown got me in for an estimate. He gave me a run down of what to expect from the insurance companies and how the processing works, which is huge when you’re not used to getting into car wrecks and the insurance agents make less sense with each explanation they give. It may have been the insurance company that had me dazed.

I had an insurance claim estimate done here. The gentleman that performed the inspection was straightforward and kind, explaining the detaiks about what he was doing and the type of work needing to be done on my car. He was even understanding of my cranky toddler, who was tired that day. I did not have to wait long for the paperwork to be finished and I was on my way in less than an hour of arriving there. My claim representative with my auto insurance company got the estimate within a day and we were able to move foreward with repairs. Thank you Lakes Body Shop!

Worst customer service ever. Don is one of the employees he was very disrespectful to myself and my husband he yelled and verbally abusive. I would not ever recommend this place to ANYONE on earth. If I could give this place a zero I would. Horrible customer service I was quoted for a two day repair, after five days my car was still not ready. All I took it there for was to replace a side mirror. Had to call every hour on the hour and did not receive a call back on the status of my vehicle. Today, I took my vehicle from them unfinished and am contemplating if I will take it back to get the job complete. I definitely would not recommend going here, take your time and research for other options.Update 12-11-2015 the boss of the place just called me upset that I called the BBB on them, never mind that my mirror is still not fixed going on a month later. He then said if I didnt recall my claim he refuses to finish the work. Terrible place absolutely horrible I have also informed statefarm of this situation as they recommended this place....customer beware any place that goes from 5 stars to 1 star with nothing in between is alarming.Lastly I will not withdrawal my complaint with the BBB as the situation is still the same.

I called this shop on a Friday (8/19) afternoon to ask if the could change out the headlight on my 2008 Chevy Malibu. A mechanic has to do this because on this model of vehicle the entire front end has to be removed for the change out. The dude told me to come in on Saturday morning right when they open and speak to the mechanic on duty and ask him to look at my car and tell me if they could do it.SOOOOO -Saturday (8/20) morning I get up at 8:30am which is a stretch for me as a bartender because I didnt get home from work until 4am. I drove all the way out to Lakes from PUYALLUP. I go inside and explain the situation and the dude behind the counter tells me there is actually no mechanic on duty on Saturdays they just pop-in and see if theres work.ARE YOU SERIOUS RIGHT NOW???? I could have just called on the phone to clarify that. This definitely was not made clear. My time and gas is now wasted AND Im still driving to and from Seattle for work in the dark with one effing headlight. Thanks for nothing jerks. I will not ever come back here. This was ridiculous.Also sidebar - you dudes should really learn that women unfortunately for you are ALSO PAYING CUSTOMERS and I dont appreciate the belittling and condescending manner with which youre office person spoke to me. Not a good look.
