Very good experience at Caris Eye Centers @ Johns Creek. Receptionists, technicians and Dr. Payne were amazing; they nicely explained all the details and showed us the importance of checking our eyes regularly. Definitely we will come back!

Great practice initially on Dr. Emilys diagnosing the issue with my eyes and recommending wearing scales contacts lens. However, never consent formally the warranty period and its expiration on these contact lens. Eventually after a few time back and force on the issue I had with my right eye after wearing the contact lens, Dr. Emily offered exchange the lens and adjust it to my eye under warranty. But after 13 days of waiting to get the lens under warranty, suddenly star saying the warranty period is over and need to pay $650!!! Not ethical and professional in their patient-doctor relationship. VERY DISAPPOINTED.

The optometrist brought up my husband’s skin tags on his face to me while we both were independently getting our eye exams. He kept pushing for a cosmetic procedure to be done at Milan Eye Center. It was unprofessional, unwarranted, and kind of creepy. It wasn’t an issue of something impeding his sight. It was a cosmetic situation, so why bring it up to me, his wife? It was awful.The experience left us feeling pretty icky.

Dr. Payne is the best optometrist I’ve ever encountered. He explained everything in detail, took time to make sure I understood everything and allowed me to ask questions. He genuinely cared for my concerns and gave me an impression that he is trustworthy from the beginning to the end. All the techs were very friendly and professional as well. I don’t leave reviews on google often, but I couldn’t help to write it for them after today’s experience. Definitely recommend this practice.

I was extremely unhappy the appointment I made was different when I got here and waited almost an hour. I was, however; I really like the girl who did testing, LOVE Dr. Emely, and really love Jessica!

The staff was super nice & knowledgeable. They did not waste any time taking care of me. Very punctual. Dr Payne was very courteous. He explained everything in details. He made me feel very comfortable & relax. He even gave me some free sample of expensive eye drops for my dry eye syndrome. Had the pleasure of having Dr. GINA BORGNINI give me my eye exam today. She was professional, detailed, explained everything as she was doing the check up. At the end she presented me with a summary of my exam pointing out what needed to be followed up and what was not a matter for concern. I was delighted with her knowledge and bedside manners. I will send my family, friends, church friends and everyone I know to Caris Eye Centers. The quality was awesome.By the way all her assistants were friendly, knowledgeable in their field and respectful. The office was clean, welcoming and comfortable. 5 STARS

Alysa at this office jumped to help me with an issue with my new glasses saying they would replace at no additional fee. She was beyond professional and so sweet. I moved away from Johns creek but don’t mind driving 40 mins to come up here to see Dr Emely. They are so careful here with Covid, more than any doctors office I’ve been to. Awesome staff

For the longest time I have been wanting a pair of NICE prescription sunglasses. Jessica Ferguson, an exceptional employee, helped me fulfill a tall order! If I could give a 7 star rating, I would. She explained everything in detail and patiently assisted me with my purchase. I love my awesome pair of Ray Ban sunglasses that she ordered. I came back weeks later to have my sunglasses adjusted to fit better. Mark Jones noticed right away that one of my temple tips was missing. They ordered me a set of new ones from overseas. In the meantime, Jessica put two matching temple tips on my sunglasses to improve my out of town trip to Nashville. Mark notified me immediately when my new parts came in. After he put the new temple tips on, Mark cleaned and adjusted my glasses. Fantastic place. From the time you walk in the receptionists are all smiling and greeting you with a hello! The lady that pretested me was very polite. Dr. Borgnini was awesome and answered all my questions. The ladies in the glasses area don’t pressure you to buy anything. They help you understand what the doctor recommend and give you all your options. Big plus for me! And at the end the check out lady Susanne explained all the charges to me. Awesome place!

Every time I visit Caris, I am greeted with warm friendly smiles from the ladies at the front desk. Anytime I have a question or concern, they efficiently find a resolution or someone better equipped to find a resolution. The ladies who assist the doctors are very knowledgeable, friendly, and above all, they LISTEN!!!! The doctors are very patient and attentive, always give explanations for better understanding, not to show their level of education/expertise. The glasses department is fantastic. Not only do they offer a wide variety of frames (big brands like Rayban, Costa, Prada), but they have some of the most helpful staff working. They take the time to find you a frame that fits you and your style. I love the fact that they do not push or pressure you to do anything outside your budget or comfort. All around this is truly an eye CARE center. Will always recommend them to family and friends!

Doctors are amazing. My review is for the glasses. Do not buy your glasses here. I saw reviews before abt bad service but thought I can order the glasses same place . Big mistake. They have bad attitude. I had issues when I went to pick up glasses. They rush you out. I went 30 min before closing time to collect my glasses and they commented that it was closing time and were rolling the eyes -receptionists and the glasses fitting lady. Switched to Target . Best service ever also better prices for same frame.

I was very please with my service at Caris Eye Center in Suwanee. The facility is beautiful and clean. The staff was courteous and friendly and the physician was funny and explained everything clearly and efficiently. I visited Caris for the first time 2 years ago on the recommendation of a coworker. I was seen right away and everyone in the office is very positive, professional and friendly. I dread going for my annual eye exam normally because I struggle with the tests but here it was a pleasant experience with little stress and a thorough explanation of my options. Highly recommend this practice. Well run office, never a long wait, great doctors and wide array of frames.Been clients for 10 years.

I have no issues with the doctor exams, but had problems with my glasses. After my exam I picked out frames and ordered the glasses. When they arrived I could not read well, as they were blurred. They returned the glasses and after another week wait, I went to pick them up. They were still blurred, but the girl waiting on me said that I needed to give them time for my eyes to adjust. This took place in February 2018. After a year, where I had considerable problems reading, I went back as soon as my insurance would cover the exam and glasses. After my exam I was surprised to hear my eyes had not changed. I said I was having trouble reading, so the doctor said they could look at my glasses if I wanted or I could order new ones. I got my prescription and went to a different store to order the glasses. Upon examination at this store they found that my left progressive lens was off center by more than 25 degrees. This was causing the blurred vision and was impossible to read through. I sent a message to Caris the next day about this issue and asked what they felt they could do. After waiting more than a week, I still have not received an answer. I don’t see they stand behind their products and just want to move you in and out as quickly as possible.

I visit Dr. Emely and am extemely happy with him and the whole nursing staff. Right from check in till I see him and check out everyone is polite,friendly and the whole appointment is quick and to the point. No gimmicks, no trying to sell any extra products/services. I have also got glasses made at their office and that was quick and easy too.

Something underappreciated in the medical field- Caris manages to get you in and out in an impressively timely manner. Ive never had to wait more than 10 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. Staff is knowledgeable, efficient, and most importantly- they listen. Been going here as long as I can remember. Highly recommended.

My husband had a concerning appointment with one of the providers this past week, Scott Emely.My husband has MS that is managed by a top neurologist who specializes in MS. During the appointment, my husband endured several inappropriate and clinically misguided comments regarding the treatment plan for his MS that is guided by his neurologist.The provider told my husband that “most of his patients who have MS only take occasional steroids with few other medications.” He condescendingly questioned the efficacy and purpose of my husbands extensive medical list and uttered comments such as “this medication is not for MS” and “ why are you taking so much medicine.” He also pointed out the assistant in my husbands presence, not to log all of the medications as MS medications because they are not.In the end, my husband left extremely hurt. He explained the reasoning for the mediations and indicated that they are all prescribed by the SAME MS PHYSICIAN.It is always ok; for a provider to have less education in an area that is not in his or her specialty. We are happy to educate.However, it is NOT ok for an eye doctor who did not attend medical school to attempt to question the management of an actual physician in his or her area of expertise. If he needed more education or had questions; the professional approach would be to contact the prescriber directly.It was cowardly to degrade the patient.

I am a long time patient of Caris but am just now getting “old age” eyes and needing glasses. I’ve avoided it but after a number of visits and a very attentive, friendly and helpful staff, I have 2 pair!

Dissatisfying experience overall. Our appointment was scheduled to Jones Bridge office but we were returned from there, with an explanation that we were scheduled to Suwanee office. We did not pick a doctor, all we wanted was the office being close to our house and we are very sure that we emphasized the location we preffered, during our call and this incident did not make any sense.We headed to the other office and things went smooth there. However, getting our contact lens prescription was such a headache. They refused to give the prescription without the feedback to the trial daily lenses of Alcon and told us we can call later to provide feedback for the trials and then order or get the prescription by email. That is where the headache started. After a week, we called for the prescription and refused to order their suggested brand. The email arrived without the prescriptions. We had to follow up with three emails and three calls to have our prescriptions sent to our email, correctly!A typical eye exam and having your prescription renewed takes an hour or two. But with this company, it took more than a week, with numerous follow ups and headache.I will strongly suggest you to refuse the brand they are offering and get your prescription at your appointment and also make sure they schedule your appointment right.

We had a visit today with Dr. Emely for my sons yearly eye exam. My wife usually takes him but this time I went as I had some questions regarding his eyesight and playing 14u travel baseball. The staff was amazing and the tech who ran my son through the tests was great. Then it went downhill from there. Dr. Emely was horrible. He proceeded to talk to my son and turn his back towards me during the conversation and explained in technical terms to my son about his eye. This would have been okay but he never acknowledged me during his technical explanation and my son doesnt know what macular degeneration or glaucoma is or even means. If he explained himself that would have been acceptable but he didnt. He proceeded to wrap up his technical speech and said he would wrap things up but I said I had a few questions since I thought my son didnt understand at least half of what he said. I did since I am a physician.I asked him a question regarding my sons lack of ability to see the ball with his goggles on after not wearing them for about 6 months and thought it was due to to him not being used to them even though his vision is better with them on. When he hit without the goggles he hit great and I wanted his thought on this. He proceeded to tell me parents make excuses for their kids not doing well and blame it on the glasses and that every kid can get lucky once and hit a ball, even 400 ft even with their eyes closed. He said Babe Ruth struck out more than he hit and he was the greatest hitter of all time! My point is that my 14 yr old is not Babe Ruth and its unlikely in my opinion that an average player at his age can get lucky and hit an 80mph fastball 400ft with his eyes closed. In summary he was patronizing, pompous, interrupted me while I was speaking and had no bedside manner. When he asked where my wife was as she usually brings my son I told him I came since I wanted to ask some questions and she usually doesnt and he replied, I know . Needless to say well never go back to Caris Eye Center again.

Visited 1 year ago. And today, I got an email and a text message saying please confirm your appointment. I didnt make any appointment since last visit. Why do they send me this?! Called them. And they explained its just a reminder for me to make an appointment. !#$@#*^*&#*( A REMINDER?! It literally says CONFIRM.

I moved from NY to GA approximately 8 years ago. After searching for an optometrist in GA, I came upon the Caris Eye Center located in Suwanee, Johns Creek..During my first appointment, I noticed that the use of technology and the various eye tests they perform here far outpassed the cae I received in NY. They are very advanced, I feel, in this area, and after the optometric tests are performed, the doctor I was assigned to amazed me even more. He discovered things about my eyes that no doctor in NY had even seen nor mentioned to me. I felt very confident in Caris care and, rightfully so, as the exam, the diagnostics and suggestions were most proficient to me. Its as if I had my very first real exam with Caris and I was beyond most pleased.Not only are the doctors so knowledgeablet in their field, they are excellent diagnosticians as well, working closely with their patient and wanting to do everything for the patient to achieve the level of comfort and excellent health for their eyes.I would refer this practice to anyone looking for excellent and continued eye care. They also have a very large selection of eyeglass frames and lenses from which to choose.I just want to say how really efficient, professional, courteous and caring this practice is, not only are the doctors amazing, but the staff handling theiur requests are very friendly and knowledgeable as well.
