VCA gets phenomenal reviews because the service does not stop at our patients. I have been an optician at VCA for a little over two years now and wanted to give some insight from a happy staff member. This family owned company treats their staff as such and it shows throughout the energy of the office. I’m grateful to be around such awesome people each day! We have great leadership who are easy to communicate with. The Doc’s are truly compassionate and supportive who want the best for everyone and help in any way they can. Each morning before we open we have a short meeting to prepare for the day and bi weekly meetings where we discuss where we are striving and where we can improve. Just a very well ran company with great people! It’s nice to see that you all notice, too : )

Theres a reason Ive been going to Vision Care Associates since 2013, when we moved to Shawnee.ALL of the staff, from the front desk receptionists, to the optical assistants, to Dr. Arnold, have been amazing. First time visit due to new eye benefit plan. Located few minutes from my home, yay! Excellent staff experience. Worn lenses since youth & now in 60s notice when programs are well organized, great experience. Had some tests previously never done & learned more about my eye care. Also love frame choices. Met with glasses frame associate to go over all details of personal lense needs/options before picking frames so I could see in detail what my benefit covers. Great find.

I was so impressed with this place! Every single staff member I interacted with were welcoming, kind, and made me feel very comfortable during my appointment. Audrey was awesome---and both her and Dr. Gallentine explained everything clearly and listened to/read my concerns (which is such a rare thing!). As an Nonbinary Autistic adult, I truly appreciated their welcoming and respectful interactions with me--and calling me by my preferred name. I have not had good experiences in the past with other local optometry offices, and I am so glad to have found this place!

This was my first visit to Vision Care in Shawnee and I could not be more pleased. The office was immaculate and they are all taking every precaution due to Covid which put me at ease instantly. Been going to them for years. I had a special frame that I wanted to put new lenses into. They had been my great grandmothers who died in the 1940s and while the lady who took my frames was quite nervous, they treated my frames with great care. Great staff.

What a surprise adventure I had at Vision Care Associates’s. I originally stopped in to look for a new pair of sunglasses. While looking at my insurance they noticed that I was due for an exam. I had been experiencing some vision problems since the COVID-19 lockdown. I decided to get an exam later in the week. Upon its completion I found out that my eyes had deteriorated and both the Doctor and staff helped me obtain an new pair of glasses, ultimately saving me from damaging my eyes further. I’m very Thankful.

I just moved to the area and I chose this place for because (1) it has good reviews, (2) I got an immediate response to my contact inquiry, and (3) the woman who I scheduled the appointment with was so kind.Was NOT disappointed. The tech Cristin was incredibly nice and so professional. Then Dr. Arnold came in and again, kind and professional. He took time to explain everything to me and at no point did I feel rushed through my visit. Then Don and Corrine fit me for a new pair of glasses that were fresh off the shelf and really cute. And finally Mackenzie helped me wrap up my appointment. It was a well oiled machine.Ive never written a review for a medical office before but I had to for this one because my experience was so good.

They are on schedule, friendly and willing to answer questions. This is unusual at a medical office theses days, so it needs to be recognized.

The doctors & all the staff here are excellent. I have had several issues with contacts & eye(sun) glasses fitting correctly over the past few years. And every time I come in or call in - the staff is happy to assist me with all my issues & ready to remedy those issues. They are the best in business & I am thankful to have such a professional office here in Shawnee!

Overall a good experience. I went tk them based on my friends experience which walshe said was great. My assistant and Dr Gallentine were very nice and informative. My only issue was that I was told that I would receive sunglasses after my pupils were dilated but I never received them. Part of that may be my fault as I didnt remind anyone before leaving but the drive home was difficult without them. Other than that I would recommend their services
