Took my 3 year old for her first vision appointment and I will be taking her back every year for some new specs 🤓. Everyone was so nice and so patient with her. No matter how long it took to get my girl to cooperate in some of the eye testing they didn’t give up on us they made sure they got it and where able to help her. I am very pleased with the overall experience and we will definitely be coming back. I would upload a picture of baby girls glasses but we are waiting on them to be readyJust wanted to say I see a lot of reviews about pricing on frames. When picking out my daughters I just grabbed a few that I liked and took them to the desk in the glasses department and asked about prices on each and they told me although insurance would pay for a select few I ended up paying for my daughters frames because she is 3 she needed the bendy ones that don’t break as easy and insurance doesn’t cover Those. While the frames are pretty pricey they are pricey in most eye doctor vision stores. But they do not require u to buy from them, if you are looking to stay under 100$ The best place to start looking is online once u get your prescription

These folks are awesome. Not once was I uncomfortable. They respected my knowledge and answered my questions when I didn’t. They were so patient and caring. The reminders were so nice. As an older person I forget easily. Dr.Konklin is very knowledgeable.

Was super nervous about going to a different eye doctor after seeing the same one at the same place forever. I always LOVE to see Dr. Conklin and his staff. Literally my favorite doctor to see every year for my annual eye exam. He takes the time to answer my specific questions and educate me on the ins and outs of what he is looking at in regards to my eye health.

I was also extremely glad that with all that was happened in the last 15 months that MY doctor, Dr Adams was still there. Five star business. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable from the front desk to the technicians. Plus, the doctor was incredible. He took his time. He was thorough. Which I really appreciated. I switched from a doctors office where I felt like a number.

The exam part is good no complaints there. But picking frames is exhausting. No prices are listed on any frames. They are no help in finding the cheaper options, they just say find what you like and then we will look it up. Even after saying multiple times about wanting to spend no more than what my insurance allowed they still added on options that I didn’t ask for when doing the lenses part. Don’t understand how difficult it is to help your patients stay within their budget after they ask several times. I ended up not buy any frames or glasses from the store and purchased online for a better experience.

Im rating vision source a 1 star. I will not recommend going to purchase glasses from here. They are over priced and not transparent on there prices. My son got an exam at another eye place but we went here to get glasses. I wasnt aware that u had to set an appt up for glasses and you couldnt just get them ordered. Which is fine, the other thing I had a problem with is not knowing the price of the glasses before I set the appt up. To me it was a total waste because if the glasses that we picked out were more than what I had budgeted for then I wouldnt of set the order appt up to began with. I think they should let you know the price of stuff before taking the time out of your day and taking kids out of school because they dont have later appts. When we went to the appt I asked the lady right off the bat how much were the glasses. She gave me a price. But failed to mention the estimated price on the lens as well. So once I got all the paper work done then she gave me another price about 130 more than the original price. When I asked how much the glasses were it would only make sense to tell me the full price of glasses and lens and not just the partial price. It doesnt make sense to me to only give me a partial price. Make me feel out all the paper work and then give me a totally different price . When someone ask how much something is they want the full price not just half the price. That was very irritating to me and I got up and left and wont be back.

I enjoyed the professionalism that most of the staff had, the doctor was very helpful. The only problem was the person that gets you set up with what frams to get and payment was rude it seemed she probably was upset at something else. I dont really know what her problem was but hopefully her attitude is better in the future.

The doctors are always great and my exam is always pleasant, but I always have a bad experience with the office staff and the people that handle the frames. It is always a long wait and the last time they told me my frames were available, I ordered and paid for them, then they called the next day and told me they were not available and tried to tell me that if the lab had already started them, then I would have to still pay. I should not have to pay for something that is their fault. I won’t be going back and I’ve wasted my yearly exam and frame allowance on them.

They sell me high index lenses saying they are “thinner and lighter” and when I get the glasses back they are thicker than my original pair that were just regular glasses. I asked for my money back that I paid out of pocket after what my insurance covered and they wanted me to pay them to return the glasses. I will not be going back there.

So much for the chain store !! saying they can fix your glasses no mater what store or what location !! Shawnee won’t stand for that !!Pay 900.00 for frames 4 mouths ago!! and won’t warranty or even look cost to replace frames just said have to take them back to Midwest city location they won’t honor the warranty at this location

I honestly love the doctors @ Shawnee Vision Source, however after today’s experience I will not be back. I had a appointment in November and had planned on purchasing frames @ that time. I was informed if I waited until January my benefit allotment would cover $150 toward the frames. Today I walked in to purchase the $300 frames. The ladies in the sale room told me it takes 15-20 min to purchase frames that need a RX added to them and that they didn’t have time to sell them to me and that I would need to make an appointment. I get it, we live in the day in age of Covid, however no one explained that a appointment was necessary to simply purchase frames. I would assume the clinic could have probably benefited from my money too. She was somewhat short with me and seemed bothered that I was even there. Might I add there was only one other customer picking up some frames. I politely asked for my RX to be printed out and told her to have a nice day! Someone else will be happy to sell me some frames and allow me 15 minutes of their time! 😉

My prescription is not a year old yet and planned to do this earlier but not in Shawnee during the day a lot.Today after a dentist appt I stopped and took care of this errand easily and not long or drawn out. This is a very busy office. Dr Adams did my eye exam. He is thorough and doesnt rush you through the exam. I highly recommend Dr Adams.Cory wrote up my lens order. He also adjusted my old glasses. He was very helpful.

I dont know what Shawnee Vision Source you people have been using but the one I went to was absolutely horrific. I explained to the doctor that I had cataracts. And I also suffer from double vision. I told him the lenses that I have are correcting the double vision.After an extensive eye exam I was told I do not have cataracts. When I went to pick out my frames and the lady found out the amount my insurance would cover I was led to a rack of about 11 pair of glasses and left alone. I asked for help several times from the lady who was supposed to be helping me but she was too busy with the man that come in after me.So I picked out my frames and the receptionist told me it would be ready in 10 to 14 days.When I got the call to pick up my glasses I told the lady that I could not see out of them. She just chuckled and handed me a piece of paper. I told her I must be blind or my glasses are not right because I cannot see out of them. Once again she just chuckled and proceeded to help the man behind me.I was ignored in so much that I was hoping a phone call would get me an appointment to talk to somebody about not being able to see out of my glasses. I even sent text messages to them. I did get a reply via text message and was told that the optical manager would get back to me within 24 hours. Over a month later I had to track Shawnee Vision Source down to not only get my money back but to let them know that it was the worst service I had ever received in my life. I never got an apology from anybody. The people are hateful, disrespectful, and downright rude. I took my glasses back to them to get a refund to my insurance company. Because at this point I do not trust Shawnee Vision Source or any of its employees. I went to another eye doctor today and before he even sat down he told me he saw the cataracs. He said only a blind person wouldnt be able to see them. So the doctor @ Shawnee Vision Source is blind. Dont trust him to make your glasses. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

I asked for an appointment asap and they managed to work me in the next day. I was seen within 5 minutes of my arrival.Dr. Kliewer was very personable and friendly, while also being professional. The staff were also very pleasant and helpful.The office was clean and sanitary, everyone wore their masks and practiced social distancing.My experience was a pleasure. I will definitely visit them again for my next exam.I highly recommend Vision Source for all opthalmic care.

Super friendly staff! I was immediately greeted with a smile when I walked in. The outside of the building is esthetically pleasant. The waiting area is warm, inviting, clean, and inviting. Radio station features easy listening and the furniture is comfortable and clean. Optometrist was friendly, knowledgeable, and very informative. I highly recommend Shawnee Vision Source!

I wouldnt recommend. I used the same dr. for years, so this was the first time i would be going to another place.I did my exam with them. I let them know my glasses broke and Ive been having headaches because of it . They notified me my glasses would take 2 weeks which ive only at most waited 3 days . I didnt even feel very welcomed. So now instead of making this process as easy as possible I went to another place and got my glasses made that day. Long story if you have a glasses emergency, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU!!!!!!

I’ve tried multiple optometrists in Shawnee and this is hands down my favorite one that I’ve been to. Dr. Kleaver and Dr. Karnish are extremely nice and personable and the tech Lindsay is awesome. Michaela at the front desk is so sweet and has the best customer service skills. They have very reasonable contact fitting fees that vary case by case. They thoroughly examine your eyes and they aren’t pushy with extras. Would definitely recommend!

Everyone at Vision Source is friendly and polite. The optometrist seemed in a rush and I did not care for my eye exam to be done so in a hurried fashion. The selection of glasses is small and in my opinion, extremely overpriced. In addition, they are making it impossible to get a copy of my contact lens prescription. The guy said he would call me back about it after asking the doctor, but has yet to do so. Any time I call, I have to leave a message and wait for a return call.
