The lady that checks you in is very patient and personable. Did not expect her to help me pick out my glasses, but she encouraged me to try some on and helped me pick a pair. Definitely appreciated. Ive seen at least 2 of the doctors. One of them gave my daughter her eye exam before. The doctors are very kind and patient as well. Good at offering the right amount of information. This is definitely a hidden gem. They have a lot of options for glasses for medicaid patients which is a huge plus.

I’ve spent the last several years collecting an assortment of reading glasses: I was told my near vision could not be corrected properly with contacts due to my bad vision and my age. Boy, were they wrong. Kim and Dr. Schreiber both listened to my concerns and issues. It was a warm, comfortable setting, and I left being able to see up-close for the first time since I can remember. I’m going in for a follow up visit to “tweak“ the prescription, but I am so happy! Highly recommend.

From the initial phone call, the office manager was super sweet, thorough and efficient. When we got there the doctor was very knowledgeable and helpful. The office manager finished off by helping my mom pick a frame and was very knowledgeable about the specific type of frame she would need because her situation is unique. Kim was very caring and kind the entire time. My mom has Kancare so it very hard to find offices that actually care. I rarely write reviews, but with such a great experience I had to. Thanks again!!!

The entire office staff was amazing! I scheduled an appointment for myself, my husband, and my 8 year old daughter. Unknown to us, my husbands eyes were sunburn. The eye doctor was very informative, patient, and kind. He answered all our questions. The entire staff is very good with kids! I am looking forward to picking up my new glasses in a few days. Overall, I am so glad I made our eye appointments yesterday with the Eye Center of Shawnee. I would definitely return for my annual visit or any eye care needs my family may have. I would recommend Eye Center of Shawnee to anyone that needs contacts, eye glasses, or a vision check.

The Eye Center of Shawnee was a very easy and pleasant experience. Intake form was sent and completed via text in advance of appointment. Friendly and courteous staff. Very efficient and quick without feeling rushed. Same with Dr. Evan Strong. Took time to review eye exam results and ask any questions. Great experience and highly recommend.

Absolutely the best experience Ive ever had with an eye exam. The opthalmologist was professional, kind and explained what he found on the exam and all my options. The woman who filled my prescription was wonderfully informative and fun! She helped me pick my frames and made sure I got exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend to everyone and will l will be using these folks for all my optical needs!

Dr. Fose is amazing with kids! My son dislikes wearing his glasses and not only did she help him feel comfortable about wearing them, she helped him pick out a great pair that fit him perfectly! Thank you and the wonderful staff so much for the overall GREAT customer service!

Thay made me and my family feel at home we got in quick they let us pick out our frames before we were seen to cut down on time they . They also made both my children feel comfortable when they had to get their eyes dilated and we ran into a issue with my daughters lenses getting covered and they fought to get them covered for her and that meant the world to us I would reccomend this place to anyone and this is the only place I attend on going for check ups from now on

I really enjoyed this practice. The technician who assisted me before visiting the doctor was friendly and helpful. Dr. Fose was energetic, fun, and knowledgeable. I loved that she took the time to explain to me how my vision had progressed, what kind of lens choices would be most helpful to ask about, and even gave me some advice about my allergies! To pay that little out of pocket and get a great experience was pleasantly unexpected. Thanks for everything you do for your patients!

Nice doctor & staff

Dr. Eck is the best eye doctor Ive ever seen. Super nice, easy going, and easy to talk to. He works with me every time I have an issue with my contacts (my eyes are sensitive to certain ones). Very helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. I never want to have to go anywhere else. Staff is fantastic too!

I am surprised I havent reviewed this practice sooner. I have been a regular patient of Dr. Ecks for my entire adult life. (Approx 10yrs) My children have always been seen by Dr. Eck and I wouldnt want to take them anywhere else. Every person I have ever seen in this office has been exceptional. Every visit is treated with the utmost care. Over the years, I have seen the staff here go above and beyond for my family and I highly recommend that you allow them to do the same for you.

I take my daughters there for there eye exams and glasses the staff is always very friendly and the dr is very informative we love going here wouldnt go any were else, the dr is super friendly making it a comfortable experience for my kids

Doctor is nice but they will lie and say they take your insurance and then over charge you by $160*can’t respond directly to owner response but I do not have 2 plans, I have always just had one. I was told when making the appointment that my insurance was accepted and then when I was finishing up my appointment, they told me they were not in network. Yes, I was refunded but the whole experience was inappropriate on their part as they were misleading to get a patient in the door, or so it felt. The point of my review was not to get them to reply or anything else, but for them to learn how to tell people from the beginning that they are going to charge them this amount. I would have left at the beginning of my appointment and not wasted anyone’s time. Trying to discredit people who leave a poor review, is bad form. Also disclosing my insurance information on the internet is also in poor taste, if not a HIPAA violation.
