A non-pretentious welcoming environment with a great selection of not just main stream music. Truly hits all genre levels and is super friendly to all levels of collecting. One of the best shops I have been to. I travel often and hit a record shop I every town. This is by far in my top 5.A must stop!

Great little and famous record shop with knowledgeable employees. The man working when I visited helped me find a local band cassette tape that he thought I would enjoy, and told me about his band as well. Ask them for music recommendations!

My favorite record store in Seatte. Great selection of interesting music. Good used section. Great new releases. What he doesnt have in stock can be ordered. The clerks are gentlemen and really know their music. Support great local businesses like this one!

Good things come in small packages. The selection is curated by folks who are passionate and knowledgeable about music. The taste is refined. They have niche areas covered in spades.

My bottom-dollar pick for the best record store in Seattle. Jeffrey and Michael, the owners, are bottomlessly knowledgable, generous with their time, and eager to share their love. (Theyve pointed me to many artists I now treasure, and helped me track down countless records I couldnt find elsewhere.) Do not miss Wall of Sound.

This might be Seattles most unusual record store. Its small, but has a really interesting selection, including a ton of stuff youll never see anywhere else. Not the place to go for your Fleetwood Mac reissues, perhaps, but if you want the rare and obscure, it might be here. Ive found obscure soul here, some great Latin and Afropop, exotica, and I know hes got some outre metal and industrial records here. Half the people shopping next to you are DJs, if that tells you anything. I love this place.

Nice selection of records for a small shop. I wish they have a player to sample the used records because it’s a hassle to have to get the staff to play it on their store record player

The greatest of the Seattle underground record stores! Far-flung, left field, experimental, electronic, metal, world, jazz, psych, industrial, noise, folk, indie rock, modern composers, krautrock, hip-hop... if its off the beaten path Wall of Sound has it! Great prices on used, rare and out of print vinyl too, youll be glad you didnt pay the kinds of prices found on ebay or Discogs. A curated, gem of a shop though small, has a highly qualitative selection from the non-commercial spectrum of every genre. Theyve survived the gentrification of two neighborhoods and relocated to become better over the years. Incredible to have a resource like this left on Capitol Hill! For those who remember the shop in Belltown in the 90s, they combined forces when Michael of Ohm Records became partial proprietor with Jeffery, making for a perfect synergy of the best of the best. Irreplaceable resource for everyone who wants to dig deeper into the musical unknown.
