Great place! Incredible selection and service. I don’t live in Washington, so they shipped me my records which was so kind of them. If I lived nearby I would be there all the time!
Not a huge record store, but lots of good stuff and knowledgeable staff. You might not find exactly what you are looking for, but be prepared to buy something.
Enjoyed this music store. Very nice view from the windows. Friendly employee!
Little out of the way place at Pike Place Market. Great for Record Store Day. Nice inventory of records and cds
Guys who worked there were friendly. Albums were organized and easy to browse by artist and genre. They were offering a holiday discount when I visited which was nice. Found an album that I had been looking for and hadnt seen in record stores back home. Would recommend this store for vinyl and Christmas shopping for music lovers on your list.
If youre in Pike Place market and you dont stop here youve made a mistake.
Super friendly staff, small place but on a Sunday afternoon there was plenty of space to browse without interruption
Cool location, decent selection. A bit overpriced.
Good selection and a friendly helpful owner.
Killer spot, great selection
Dont overlook this record shop thats somewhat hidden in the basement maze of pike place market. This place is not just for aimless tourists! I have found a few awesome rare finds myself here recently, and at pretty fair prices too!
Decent selection but the prices for used vinyl far exceeds what you can buy new.
Awesome record store, highly recommended
Not well organized, but they did have cassettes so thats a plus. Large variety though.
Tough to beat a record store in Pike Place Market. Its a great venue to sell anything vintage and 20 years in business says a lot. Friendly, with a good variety of LPs. Worth checking out when youre at the Market.
Wonderful selection, but the prices are a bit high. However everything I have ever gotten there was a great find and worth every penny!Workers are friendly, helpful, and seem to honestly enjoy being there.
Very cool little record shop with a solid selection of older records. I picked ‘Bob Dylan and The Band live in Concert’ for a reasonable price. Will go back! The owner told me he was at the show when some of the songs were recorded.
The owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Dont hesitate to ask. Will definitely visit when Im in town again 💙thank you
Great selection. Salesman was Great. Shipped to CT for us.
This is a small-ish shop in Pikes Place Market with about 8 to 10k records. Staff was inert, which is not bad, and it has a view of the water. But the only reason I could think of why it would be called Holy Cow is because of the prices. I buy and records all over the world and, other than ebay nuts and antique stores, the records selling here, in my opinion, are marked up to 5 to 10x their fair market/historical sales value. My opinion is based on discogs and personal experience. I visit 2 to 3 record stores a week around where I live, often the same one, but I spend maybe an hour or two digging and I see thousands of prices on different records. I did find some fair prices in the Jazz section of Holy Cow, but in the rock section I found multiple mass pressed VG rock titles from the 70s and 80s that would normally sell for 3 or 5 bucks priced at 25 or 26 bucks. The only reason I can think of is that they must be trying to hook someone who thinks they have struck gold by finding their long lost Elton John album from high school that might never turn up again. All due respect to Elton John.
Great little store! Who ever said its quality not quantity had this store in mind. Great selection and reasonable prices.
Down in one of the lower floors of the Pike Place Market. Great selection of records, picked up some jazz and had to leave a few for another time. Really nice people and a beautiful shop
Small but cool place. Mostly records but some tapes and CD. Staff is helpful.
Went here sorta late in the evening with a friend when pike was pretty quiet. It was calming. Very vast selection of records. Make sure to look in the boxes underneath the tables!! They also have some records from bands/artists of the PNW. Keep in mind that this place is cash only. Theres ATMs nearby though.I cant wait to come back.
Nice little shop with a pretty good selection; also sells old Rolling Stones magazines as well as cassettes and cds
Great place with excellent customer service!
Awesome selection of vinyl! Great shop.
We went in to browse. My husband and I were both looking at records when our two year old had a tantrum. We got her out of the store asap but not without some really nasty looks from the guy behind the counter.I get it dude. Shes a kid. We were leaving.Decent selection, crappy service.
Nice selection - owner is a little nutty however - reminded me of that crazy uncle character from the 80s movie One Crazy Summer
Good selection of records, but nothing that really caters to my (admittedly very niche) tastes.
Good selection of 50s, 60s, and 70s classic rock, jazz and funk. Not much else though.
Ok selection but criminally overpriced. Some things that belonged in the dollar bin were $20+. In fact, I’m not even sure this store has a dollar bin.
Cool store with an good selection of old vinyl.
Nice store. Slightly overpriced
Good used vintage record selection. Not much if any newer stuff, still pretty awesome.
A great selection of jazz with friendly and knowledgable owner.
Tiny little store tucked away in the heart of pike place with tons of hidden gems for extremely reasonable prices.
Rare WHO records, magazines, etc. This is where you go to find a present for a collector.
Good little place. Might find that one album youve been looking for. I did!
Great selection and an even better location!
A groovy little store!!
Mostly older selections. Rock and blues.
Records, movies, souvenirs, so interesting.
Huge selection, including rare titles.
Very knowledgeable
Beautiful little record shop. I found some relics. It seems that more current things are missing, but I think it is because he has enough movement.
