So many bleep bloop boxes to play with! The new store is still getting furnished, but they have several different kinds of synthesizers, drum pads and modular set up and connected to speakers or headphones. You can also bring in your own if you want to focus on just the noise youre making. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Patchwerks is an amazing shop and we are lucky to have them around! Every time Ive asked a question, needed help, or wanted to order something that was out of stock, the staff have gone above and beyond my expectations to help out and to make the process as easy as possible. They recently went so far as to send me a backup module for an order that I thought had arrived broken. The mistake ended up being my own, but they were there for me through the whole process, and never hesitated to help out when I asked.

Staff are very helpful. Being able to try some new equipment in the store saved me a huge hassle of online returns. They have a great selection of gear here and after a lot of input from the staff, I found a great new unit.

I wanted one little thing and walked out with 3 and hundreds of dollars poorer. I want all those modules!!! SELL THEM TO ME NOW!!! That isnt a picture of the store just some things they sold me.

I have been coming here for about a year. Bought some great equipment (Digitakt, Korg Wavestate, Korg Volca Drum, Korg NTS - 1) and am super happy that there is a place like this in Seattle. This is the premiere destination for those who know how to use synthesizers and they have a huge selection of modular equipment (on my bucket list one day when I am rich). I used to go to a music giant known more for guitars but always got sub par quality, limited selection and often that equipment was open box and sold as new only to be disappointed when a button or knob was all messed up and had to bring it back. Patchwerks has always given me brand new, unopened and always functional equipment. Come to this place if you want to make some fine electronic music! This place is for the pros!

Amazing staff and selection, the store is small but it makes it feel more personal and homey. They literally have the best of the best and everyone who works there can put a show on for any of the synths.

Patchworks is great. The folks that work there are super nice and the inventory is impressive.

These guys are the best. They were more then happy to spend a bunch of time helping me figure out what was wrong with my rack even after it became clear that the problem was with stuff I had bought elsewhere. Even once we found out the module they sold me was fine, they offered to swap it out anyway and extended the return window on it just in case.

I haven’t purchased anything from these guys —. yet — but I did visit them a while back to check out the store. They were very friendly and helpful, very willing to spend time with me as well as just leave me alone to spend a considerable amount of time with one of their eurorack setups. They have also been very responsive with my email inquiries. I give them very high marks for all of this.

Professional equipment, great people who give you honest advice and suggestions. I learned so much from Mathew who taught me so much about making electronic music. Now I am going to start making music again after having been in hibernation for over 15 years.

The only place to go for Modular or really anything Synth related. They have a great display/demo of tons of different modules for you to experiment with and learn about. Staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. Its about as different from guitar center as one could imagine. Great staff, easy returns if you need, small local and community oriented. They do all kinds of cool little groups and events to educate the community on everything music related. I love the shop, and I love the idea behind it. To me our country and the world would be a better place if more places like this existed. They have great prices and selection of new and used gear, but I would even pay a little more then I would online to support a place like this. Its not easy being a small business in this city but the owner here does it right and obviously is passionate about his business.

My favorite music store in Seattle, hands down. Everything they have is so awesome, and their staff is so good at showing you how awesome everything is. Especially for a newbie like me, I didnt know exactly what I wanted. In November I was looking to buy my first synthesizer with a few specifications (on-board recording, good sounds, beginner level) and they showed me great options that fit perfectly. Ive been absolutely ecstatic with my purchase ever since. Two months later I found myself coming back to get a second synthesizer (getting a synthesizer is dangerous!) and I had a different set of parameters (good bass, good arpeggio, intermediate level) and again they showed me some great options.

Every so often, you find a place that explains why brick and mortar shops will never be replaced by Amazon. Patchwerks is one of these places. Id been looking for an OP-1, was visiting Seattle for the day, and found Patchwerks listed as a Teenage Engineer reseller. I sent them a message on Facebook to make sure they had one in stock, they got right back to me (even before their opening hours), and I showed up right as they opened.They were super friendly and I just wanted to ditch my meeting and hang out in their shop for the rest of the day. Their business isnt really my scene - I was buying the OP-1 for my son - but Ive got a pretty good sense of what shops you can trust to get good advice (even when its to buy something cheaper) and I immediately got the strong sense Patchwerks is this sort of place.Check them out and support a great local business. Its time for me to catch my flight home and open with the OP-1 (its not *just* for my son!).

Went to this amazing synth only store today with my techy musician son. We got to play with so many goodies. The whole store is set up to experience. Laura was fantastic. She was perfect in welcoming us and showing us how to use all the gear. A creative beautiful soul. Antonio is a technically deep audiophile with super geek skills and know how. Great shop. Incredible staff. Im so thankful a place like this exists nearby.I stopped by a few times to browse synths and modules because modular synthesis was something I often admired from a distance. I told the staff each time that I was just browsing, and they left me alone. They have an amazing selection of gear to play with in their showroom, which is super crucial for deciding what to put in your rack.When the day came that I decided to build a modular setup, I came in and asked for some help. All five employees at the store were experienced modular synth users themselves, and they all came to my aid to recommend modules, help me find what I was looking for, and suggest more to look for in the future. They honestly seemed like they were having as much fun as I was!Ill be returning to Patchwerks as my first stop for any and all of my future modular gear purchases, and I highly recommend them to anyone curious about modular synths, as well as semi-modular and some more traditional gear.

I went there when I came to Seattle for an Evanescence/Halestorm concert and this place makes me wish they had a store where I live. Aestheticly pleasing storefront and lots of cool gear set up so you can try things out. Staff are very helpful. They have a lot of good used stuff too (I managed to snag a behringer neutron for a great price and Im lost in a good way with all the sound design possibilities).
