The service is excellent and if they dont have something they are happy to get it transferred from another store. We were there for a tux shirt for band and they were great.

Really helpful staff! I went to purchase a guitar and although the selection was smaller than the nearby Guitar Center, they we able to answer all my questions. The prices are very good for a small local business so it was a no brainer to buy from them

Not a big fan of this place. Speaking only of the Seattle store. Store is very cramped. Seems to cater to high school, but you might find some useful accessories. I would not suggest going here for anything specialty or if you need to trade or sell. Front desk staff seems brain dead. Hit the bong 15 too many times the night before.

Very happy with my experience here! Found most everything I needed for band/wind ensemble-related activities. Also had to get my instrument serviced, and the technician and people working there went above and beyond my expectations. 10/10 would recommend

Great music shop with very informative and helpful staff. A great musical instrument destination especially in these times where a lot of music stores are closed.

The nostalgia is real in this place. Great time looking for oldies (but goodies) and the best place for blu Ray movies. Doesnt hurt that they have live music.

Capitol Music is the best service out there that you will find. Twice I needed my music urgently, so I called and they had it in stalk (they literally have everything usually) and I couldnt go to the store that day, and so I asked them if it was possible for them to hand deliver it to me, and they were so generous and so kind, they did. I was so happy and so thankful to the amazing company and people who work there. They remind me that kindness is something we will always remember. But seriously, what kind of music company hand delivers things for you on the day?If I had more stars than 5, I would go for 10.

We have been coming to TBM for about 5 years now. Their knowledgeable in-house repair expert, Atlas, always comes through for us, and has the patience to explain the repairs as well! Great advice also for the care and maintenance of flutes and piccolos.

I played in high school band, jazz and concert saxophone. Then I put it away for ~12 years. Decided to start up again. Took my sax to another shop for service, spent a lot of money, and felt like they couldnt care less if I was pleased with the work, or if I even played the horn ever again. Then I found Capitol (Ted Brown U-district). In the first visit I knew they had what I needed. A staff that genuinely cares about what you need, shares their own interests in order to open other doors to many types of music, and knows who you are if you are a regular visitor.AND, the repair department. Damn, people. Atlas is the technician in the service cave. He is a geek of the highest possible order. I had one student model alto sax at the beginning (1 1/2 years ago). I have a vintage alto in possibly the best playing condition of its long life, a very decent tenor sax, and as of two days ago, a working bari sax. All gone through, from simple leak testing and regulation, to a full blown overhaul on the old alto, in every instance he is communicative, and generally insists on seeing the instrument back to check how the work is holding up. This is crucial in most work on saxes. And he actually plays. So he knows what the horn needs to do in the end, though never at the expense of listening to the player in question.I should confess at this point: I play in two community bands, and at home. Not a pro, never been paid to play anything. But this shop doesnt care one whit if you are or not, only that you want to play, want yo play more, and that you shop there for all your needs. I work retail and fix bikes for a living, and the way these people treat customers is the best. Customers will want to come back to this shop, if not for the selection, for the experience of shopping there.Fantastic store, more than fantastic repairs. Go to Ted Brown U-district!
