Coffee was pretty good but a bit weak in my opinion. The lines were WAY better than anything up by the market (only 2 people in front of us). Tables outside to sit at. Out of almost all baked goods by 10:30am.
Great location for a cup of coffee. Coffee was great, we also got breakfast burritos which were premade and then heated up, but tasted good
My friends and me was there last week, The Asian server. serve coffee customer inform of us and she refuse to serve us coffee, I asked her, her reason, she respond its 6:00pm, but she is not right I show her the time. our final decision its prejudice. in short, If you are color men or women dont go there. you will be disappointed.
Tiny place, be prepared to wait outside to enter. Good coffee!
Talk about velvet foam! I really enjoyed my lattes from Uptown Espresso during my visit to Seattle. Not to mention it was just a short walk from my hotel which was super convenient. The pastries were also really delicious. The prices seemed comparable for the area. I wish we had a place like this in my hometown.
Pricey but yummy. This is the way.
Great location with great coffee!
Wonderful service, GREAT espresso beverage, GREAT scones....nice place.
Came in nov 2020, barista was great about following covid guidelines. The almond milk latte was phenomenal. Really perfect grooming on the milk and a nice balance overall.
When I still worked in the office, I came through Uptown Espresso every morning! Loved the baristas on rotation and the coffee was consistently good. Sometimes I treat myself with an amaretto biscuit & jam! I’ve only been by this location a few times this summer, but despite a few changes (hours, staff, etc.), things have still been good in terms of quality.
Best latte ever!!!
Lemon poppyseed muffin was great but chai tea latte did not have a taste at all. Guy who served me greeted me and that’s about it...didn’t come off as friendly. I pulled my mask down a little so that he can hear my order but forgot to pull it back up afterwards. He goes, you need to pull your mask up over your mouth and nose. As I had mentioned, I clearly forgot, but the guy in front of me had his mask down the whole time while waiting. He said not a word to him! At least have a friendly attitude while working, it’s already enough going on!
Good place to get coffee for the walk in the park
I’ve tried this location a few times and other uptown espresso locations many times before. Great drinks and friendly service. However, the wait at this location can be pretty long. I’ve waited 10+ minutes in line for a coffee before. That’s just too slow. I think this location needs to be staffed with more than 1 person. That being said, their quality standards are consistent and high so I won’t ding them on the rating.
My husband and I had a great two day get away and loved all of our Seattle experiences and food. On our last morning we went into Uptown Espresso for a quick breakfast before our stroll through Olympic sculpture park. Unfortunately it was a bad decision. The coffee and food were fine but that was over shadowed by the horribly grumpy service we received. Maybe she was having a bad morning but I don’t think she needed to take it out on us. It’s too bad because it is a quaint spot right by the sculptures.
The place is small and unassuming, but the barista made us some of the best lattes weve had in months. And I am pretty picky about my coffee. They use Fonté coffee and make their own pastries (which looked wonderful, although we werent hungry). From now on, any time I am at the waterfront I am going to be sure to stop by Uptown.
MUCH smaller than their other locations (I cant imagine trying to work here for a few hours), but I think that works great for this location on the pier. Service was great, and the other people inside were fun to chat with. Highly recommended!
Its certainly a happy place to be.Great coffee, good service, and beautiful location.
I love this place. Today though (Thursday at 11) I asked to go use the restroom, as I work at the Pier (which is obvious by my neon safety vest and work shirt) and got a bit of attitude from the lady behind the counter (not my coffee woman) telling me that its normally for customers only. I tell her I normally buy from here and work at this location and get some more attitude in her response of Well Ive never seen you here on Thursday (which is true, because we come to the pier at different times of the week). I was originally going to get an Italian soda after the restroom, but with that horrible customer service and attitude, Ill wait until I see the woman I like working behind the counter again.
SUPER disappointed. I ordered a cold brew and they literally cracked open a can of Fonte Cold brew. If I had been informed that it was going to be from a can I would have ordered something else. I could have gotten the same thing from a corner store for much less money. Im really disappointed in this café. I wish I had just gone to Starbucks at this point. The only reason they arent getting less stars is because the girl who works there, though she should have informed me of the cold brew was from a can, was a nice person.
Fantastic coffee. I drink my coffee black so there are no room for errors. I wasnt disappointed.
Friendly local coffee joint that we enjoyed popping into after a walk around Olympic Park.
Good coffee. Cappuccino had appropriate foam. Barista wasn’t friendly but wasn’t rude either.
This is probably one of the more intimate coffee shops youll find it town, its size really only trumped in smallness by Monorail and maybe the Vivace on the sidewalk up in Cap Hill. That said, youll still find the exactly velvet foam Uptown is known for, and baristas that seem to have a little more leeway in how they prepare the usual. Theyre usually a little more willing to experiment, often pouring free-hand. Either way, you should walk away happy. Note, the usual batch of Fonte beans is in use here. Its a great place to grab a cup and head to the park just steps away, but be advised that there is no restroom, no matter how many times you try the two doors in back.
My espresso I ordered was good, but the customer service from the guy working was very rude. He noted that they were closing in 9 min and had a bad attitude. Bathroom was completely disgusting and dirty.
Having ducked in here to grab a bit of coffee (and Im not really a coffee drinker) I was pleasantly surprised by the tranquil atmosphere. The staff was knowledgeable and I found it really cool they had games to buy.
Small roadside coffee place with great service and outside sitting... Good view of the monorail and lots of joggers around the pier.
EXTRA charge $.80 on alternative milk which was half and half from whole milk for my cappuccino. It’s ridiculous!
Coffee is ok, however, when they say home of the velvet foam they are not kidding, my 16 oz drink was maybe 10 oz coffee the rest foam, food was good, not the friendliest crew this morning.
Nice landmark, frienly staff and good coffee. Remind me to come back here next trip
Got an Americano here, it was pretty weak. The cream and sugar table was sticky too. Kinda nasty
Its ok, but not enough seats outside
Had the Mocha, so nice. Top man serving too.
Coffee & cookie is Very good! Very delicious!
Walked in to get a coffee. Asked for the restroom and the guy was irritated and rude. Had my coffee elsewhere.
Excellent soft taste!!! Thanks!!!
