Cute and clean coffee shop! No indoor seating, but there are a few tables outside. They have milk alternatives including oat and hemp milk. They also sell coffee beans, tote bags, hats, shirts, beer, and wine. Would recommend stopping by.

Sound & Fog is one of the very few coffee shops I visited in Seattle where the barista seems genuinely chill and friendly, and enjoys the company of their customers. He makes an excellent cup of latte, and our little chat while he was making it just makes the drink extra good. This lovely store is in a residential street, pretty low-key, and it also sells beans, beers, and wines. I live in Capitol Hill but Id love to come back sometime soon.

The coffee they give you is from one of those thermos things and no telling when it was brewed, but the cup my husband got was bad and not hot. The mocha I got tasted like steamed milk, no flavor. Threw them in the trash and walked over to Starbucks to get a better cup of coffee and a better mocha. So much for eating/drinking local at that place. We will stick with Uptown for that.

When first moving to Seattle I stopped here for a much-needed rest between apartment viewings and it really changed the course of that day. This coffee shop is amazing. The staff is always kind and knowledgeable, it is always immaculately clean and service is never slow or ingenuine. They offer a wide array of pastries daily, a selection of wine and beer as well as cafe accessories. I bring everyone I can here and each person has been thrilled.

Sound & Fog is a coffee house in the middle of West Seattle. I enjoy their Cardamom Latte. They also have beer and wine although I haven’t come in for either. The place is nice with a contemporary feel. Sound & Fog is close to my work and is a nice little get away.

Beautiful space with very friendly and helpful staff, no coffee snobbery (though they’d be entitled to it, everything there is very high quality and thoughtfully selected). Barista was extremely knowledgeable about coffee and discussed types of coffee grinders with me. My new west seattle go-to spot.

For a person who loves coffee as much as I do, being limited to decaf now is a sad state of affairs. But at Sound & Fog the decaf espresso is so delicious I dont feel deprived. Their supplier uses a sugar-based decaffeination process that leaves the coffee sweet. Its one of perhaps two places Ive tried where a decaf almond milk latte doesnt taste like a $6 cup of cereal milk. The baristas are also incredibly attentive and charming. Basically, theyve ruined me for any other place and I have to keep coming here forever. Thanks Sound & Fog!

Went in for a coffee- had a cloth/face covering. Denied service from employee due to it not being a “mask”. Do yourself a a favor and get it from other locations where they don’t have employees ruining their own businesses by making their own laws. Also a coffee is $4.25...overcharged. Not sure how this place will stay in business, especially in the pandemic.

Favorite coffee shop in Seattle. Great coffee, matcha, and other unique drinks like their blue tea latte. They have an awesome selection of whole beans, pastries, wine, beer, and new bottled espresso drinks ( one of the only good things to come out of covid). Owners and staff are always great to chat with. Also super Covid compliant!

Sound and Fog is a great place to go for fancy espresso drinks. It’s the kind of place they pour a little flower in the foam for your cappuccino, which isn’t easy. It’s also nice that it’s locally owned and the owner pulls most of the shots himself. They don’t have much in the way of Starbucks-style summer drinks (if you want something cold that’s more interesting than an iced latte, go elsewhere), but if you want quality traditional espresso, this is a great choice.

Ive never had a cappuccino before so im afraid i cant speak to the quality of the drink although to me it seemed to taste like a decent latte. However the reason it gets 5 stars was the great costumer service and attention to detail given by the gentlemen making my drink.I will definitely co write e back the next time i am working in the area

I got an latte and I can say that you can definitely find better tasting coffee elsewhere in west Seattle. I work in coffee personally and I was excited to see what they had to offer, but their espresso tasted sour and pretty unsatisfying. Their shots just might not have been pulling right, or their coffee is just bad. I’d rather go to Starbucks. Their baristas are very accommodating, but I’m not going to a coffee shop just for the service. The shop itself is small, and hard to find as it’s hidden behind large apartment complexes.

Justin and the entire crew are beyond amazing. They care deeply for the neighborhood and the people living here. While the coffee is amazing, the wine selection is great and really hits the right notes during these hot summer evenings. Even better, you can have a glass there or buy a very reasonably-priced bottle and take it home! Please go out and support a great local business!

I really enjoy supporting this business. Its my favorite place to get coffee in the entire city, and I work every square inch of Seattle so I have a lot to compare it to. I think the main reason is service. The owner/barista (Justin) is there every day, and like a trusty bartender, its easy to develop a rapport with him. His coffee is high quality, he cares about his craft, and he consistently delivers a good product. I only wish I was in West Seattle more often.

A stunningly successful exercise in trimming down the Cafe experience to its essentials. Whether you spend time here communing or working, the place just melts away in the background, leaving enormous windows, coffee, and you.Ill make it a point to come back when it rains; must be gorgeous.Adding to the excitement of it being only a month old is the serious housing development going on around the area. In a few months this place is going to be buzzing, street parking is gonna be a mess, being a regular will be hard-won.
