This grocery store is certainly fantastic on many levels. Big hot food bar and deli that easily competes with the whole foods in the area. Great sushi, fantastic produce huge wine and beer selection. All that is awesome except when you go to check out. Giant lines no space to move around and a complete lack of self checkout. I know it requires space and easier said than done but the value of a self checkout is huge, check any QFC, any whole foods the self checkout is a must have.
Friendly staff. Reasonably priced. Leather you do not get everything. Otherwise super. Wheelchair accessible paths. Unfortunately, as in many stores, no shopping cart for wheelchairs.
Decent produce. Good hot ready meals. However, VERY rude staff. Specifically “John” and his supervisor “Kayla”. Insulting offensive and shamelessly I remorseful for their actions.Thankfully The floor manager “John” took the effort to apologize and diffuse the situation while walking my groceries to the car.I will be bubbling this up to leadership so that their actions are not replicated. These employees make the other amazing ones look horrible.
At the Deli the old man ignored my friend and I when we asked for a special cheese we wanted to purchase! He has no manners went inside without any help! I asked several times for help in a respectful way but unfortunately he just did not want to help! They should hire employees with manners and being respectful instead of bad customer service!I do not recommend this place to anyone!
Best produce and deli/hot food options around. It’s a great local market with good quality products, and super convenient and fun to shop.
Lots of the same stuff as Safeway, at 70% higher prices, with a consistently longer checkout line
Rude experience at the hot deli. Server was mocking at my inability to order since it was my very first time. He laughed at me three times when he couldn’t understand what I wanted. I had to put down my foot and ask in a stern voice to get him to take me seriously. For a high end grocer, I would think they would hire someone with decent manners for the job. This person clearly doesn’t.
Staff are unprofessional.Very bad customer service! Jennifer is Extremely Rude with aggressive attitude! Grant seems respectful but sorry he is fake, don’t trust him he will not help you and blame customers for the bad experience you had from employee. They just don’t want to help. Never shopping there Again and I wouldn’t if I were you! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
Beautiful produce selection. Good combination of specialty foods and basics. My go-to, whenever Im in the neighborhood.
Literally Grant-Jeniffer-Mark-Frank-Rayan are the worse people to deal with! Trust Me their mouth is full of lies!Extremely Bad Customer Service. They are Rude and never will hear your side story against their unhelpful Rude employees!Never experience bad customer any where else. This store should be shut down.So Ridiculous!
Poor customer customer service in hot deli. Not a soul to help a frequent shopper ! 1:45 in the afternoon?Lots of other shopping options...
I love this market. The chicken is great, and those garlic mashed potatoes!!!!! So yummy.
As an InstaCart Shopper its usually hard to find store help even though there always seems to be a plethora of service workers behind the counters. I do have to give a big THANK YOU! to Carol in the meat department she was very friendly and helpful and helped me to feel welcomed in the alien environment of the ever changing products in this grocery store. :)
Great foods! Fresh. Delicious. Little spendy if you shop at Walmart, otherwise it is what you pay for local food from a local market. They have a little of everything
The chocolate chip cookie is amazingly delicious, just dont try to eat the whole thing, its huge. 🍪
The Cookie and the Caribbean Pork sandwich.
Excellent grocery store. They always have fresh produce, great baked goods, a great deli counter and wonderful employees. I also like that you can order fries or a baked good for your kids to snack on while shopping right toward the front of the store.
High end market, their own butcher shop, fresh seafood, fabulous deli, big selection of cheese, wine, bakery.
The most terrible staff there! So expensive plus produce and meats are not fresh .Literally they are extremely Rude!!!!!! I will rather shop at PCC!
I like shopping here but miss your fresh tomato basil soup. Whats up?
Love this store, great produce and lots of healthy options.
The building needs to be expanded.
Great local store and excellent selection of cheeses and European specialties.
The hot food selection here is amazing. Towards the end of my bicycle ride my legs were gone, so I had to pull over and find something to eat. Glad I stopped here!
I do love this particular Metropolitan Market. This market usually has some specialty items that I just cant live without! Deli cases are organized, clean and attractive. Nice floral dept. Fresh vegetables & meats. Great selection of cheeses.
Staff is quite a mix. Some friendly, but most are quite rude and dont seem to be happy with their job. Despite the great selection of food, better options are available.
Fairly good sized up-scale supermarket with a focus on natural foods. Very good produce (some items hard to find elsewhere - sunchokes!) 3 buffet tables plus hot soup, a good group of prepared refrigerated foods. Fresh meats with service, deli counter, wines, cold beer/ale, dairy, one aisle of frozen, collection of imported foods, and the normal collection of grocery items. Clean.Fairly helpful staff - I lost my keys the other day; once I was passed off to an upper-level help, they were very helpful and solicitous. Lots of counter help to make up bakery, deli, meats/fish.They have rotating themes at their buffet tables - check the web site for their schedule; my favorite days are Wednesdays!
The place has excellent groceries in general, but their sushi bar at the deli makes the best sushi you can get outside of a restaurant that specializes in it.They also have excellent cookies, teas, and Italian sodas at their little cafe attached to the deli. Id assume their coffee is good too, but Im not a coffee drinker so I cant say for certain. Their deli has lots of great things too.The only downside is that everything here is expensive, but you get what you pay for, and here thats premium food.
Great store with high quality products. The deli is amazing! You can get great meals, including holiday meals such as full Thanksgiving dinners. They have a nice salad bar, pasta station, and desserts. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Top notch supermarket with a great produce section, deli, wine department and really nice flowers as well. Havent touched the meat dept yet, but now have high expectations. Clean and bright, and the staff is very friendly and will take time for you. Definitely a keeper.
Met Market is notable for its bakery, specifically the Cookie. Whats the big deal about a cookie? you ask. Its THE Cookie, first of all. Please show it the respect it deserves. Honestly, you just have to eat one to really understand the cult following this cookie garners. Perfectly crisp and golden on the outside, warm and gooey on the inside. It always tastes like it just came out of the oven. I wouldnt buy anything else at MM; it is super expensive.
The price is high, but the quality is always good. I love the seafood, the cheese, bakery, produce, beverages... just about all of the selection. They do have more affordable and less fancy brands as well, its just hard to buy them next to the pretty ones. Customer service is always excellent and you dont have to wait long for a checker.
I bought my bridal bouquet here. It was great. She listened to what I wanted and made it real.
The floral department did the flowers for my wedding last weekend and they were so beautiful. We changed florists a couple of weeks before the wedding because of poor customer service at the first florist. So, on fairly short notice Metropolitan Market floral department met with my mom and got our flowers ordered. I had a fairly specific look I wanted for the bridal bouquet and it turned out exactly as planned, and the bridesmaid bouquets were pre-made mixed bouquets that the florist ordered and my mom edited to help the match the wedding colors (just removing any dark flowers). The price was reasonable too.
Good but pricey
This is the best market for quality items. And things you need every day. There is always something new to discover, too. Great staff, great service. Love this place.
Best fruit in town.
It’s a well stocked and well maintained MM location, one of the better ones in the greater Seattle area. The restrooms are always clean, and the deli has fresh, quality food. Sushi prices are reasonable. There’s a bakery, and all the produce is in excellent condition.
Upscale... But for little reason. I enjoy that they have decent quality meats and a decent local selection. That said, you can find anything at Metro Market anywhere else for a better price. My biggest problem with the store is that they stock generic store brands from big box stores, but mark it up a considerable amount vs less fancy grocery stores. Its honestly a terrible practice, and I refuse to shop there just because of this. I would rather go anywhere else.
Always clean, always top quality with super staff. Premium foods at fair prices. Easy parking too.
Impeccable service at the meat counter. Roast was ready for pick up on time and cut was top notch
I love their amazing coffee selection! They have some of the best roasters in the PNW and lots of the bags are fresh within days of being roasted and clearly dated on the bags! Perfect for those who use fresh beans for ESPRESSO. also the coffee shop within has the best coffee in the area. 10/10 and Im a very picky coffee drinker.
This market has many items that are difficult to find. I love it! I dont buy staples here because it is pricey for ordinary items but I love it for the unusual products. Wish there were more branches of this great store.
My new favorite market. Their lunch spread is great, and their local selection is vast. Go if you can, but its more expensive than most places nearby. That said, you get what you pay for!
As a food blogger and wellness journalist, I am always on the hunt for seasonal, top quality produce and Met Market has yet to disappoint.I often take advantage of their broad and diverse selection of to-go options (salad, soups, sandwiches, etc) and their coffee bar.Must try items:• Organic mango salsa - located in the produce section.• Matcha latte - from the espresso bar.• Poke bar - found in the deli.
I am always amazed by the selection at this Metropolitan Market. They have an amazing selection of cheeses, meats, beer, special foods (gluten free, vegan, etc), and I am never left disappointed by their friendly staff. They are a tad more expensive than your average grocery store, but their selection, quality and service is head and shoulders above.
Great selection of deli foods lots of healthy drinks and a laid back place to eat it. Oh and it has great groceries too!
Rude to Instacart shoppers. Unhelpful bad customer service
Great neighborhood grocery. Upscale like the neighborhood. Selection is generally complete, but not always a lot of alternatives.
Great place for shopping. They have wide variety of organics. Even their cooked buffet tastes great. Fresh collection of meat. On the downside bit expensive.
Great store they have just about everything you can imagine! Its a chefs paradise! One of the employees Acacia was such a great help when I had a problem!
Good place to shop for certain items and they do have good sales each week. Friendly and helpful staff. I enjoy shopping here.
So, three weeks before my wedding last July, I realized it was time to order a bouquet. Okay, past time to order a bouquet, but other plans had fallen through, so, there I was, bouquet-less and too much of a cheapskate (and procrastinator) to go to a florist. Then I had the brainstorm of ordering it from the floral department of a grocery store. The Sand Point store of Metropolitan Market came through with flying colors. I decided on a simple bouquet of red roses with matching boutonnieres. Not only did Metropolitan Market provide the whole shooting match for around a hundred dollars, but they also had multiple shades of red to choose from and worked with me to try to match the style I liked (and didn’t even mind when I changed my mind once or twice). Great service!
Great quality food. On the pricier side but you get what youre paying for and its not weird stuff like at Whole Foods, its normal but high quality fare
I actually found a unique gift there, but they have a nice selection of high quality locally grown food. Pleasant shopping atmosphere on a smaller scale.
Warm and friendly owner and staff. Always remember my favorite dishes and that Im vegetarian. Produce is always fresh and everything Ive had has been delicious.
Great quality products and good variety but VERY expensive compared to other grocery stores. Their fries are overpriced but have good texture and sauce. The pastries have a high standard overall.
In two consecutive shopping trips here, I inadvertently purchased an item that had been over a week past its use-by date. The next trip, I purchased another item where the expiration was blank. I find myself throwing out a lot of expensive food from here! They would likely exchange it (but some of the other comments make me wonder...), but I would rather use my time buying fresh food the first time. My foul for not checking the dates (arguably) but this seems like a trashy market wearing a high-end facade.
Amazing store and awesome workers there! They make me feel at home! Love the different types of food and what they have!
The food is delicious and the bakery is devilously tempting! The price range is pretty high so that keeps me from buying everything I see!
High quality produce, deli counter is well stocked with cured meats and cheeses. Bread is solid, the cookie is super good.
If If you ever in the mood to shop somewhere that has the prices of whole foods but isnt fully organic then this is your place. Lets just call it a poor mans whole foods. They have some pretty good prepared food. They also have great produce and a good florist section. I tend to come here if I need to get a specialty type of meat, cheese or wine. But be warned all of that specialty is going to cost you. This certainly isnt one of those places that you come to do all your shopping for the week. Its more if you want to run in and grab as few things or if you have some specific in mind that you cant find at your large chain grocery store.
I love met market they have amazing food i always get The Cookie which is amazing
EVERYTHING about this store is Fantastic ‼‼ The only negative is my difficulty in making a Quick stop. I always want to look around and usually/often buy things that couldnt be considered *necessary,* but Always Delicious ❗
I had a great experience. Good service;, attention to me as customer and very good products. Would highly recommend.
Hot table food was trashy compared to few years ago. Green beans were dry undercooked and no flavor. Mashed potatoes were lumpy under cooked and overcooked at the same time? Roasted chicken was quite dry. Gravy was good that that one star.
Customers are aloof, but the employees are great. Especially Matt, hes fast, efficient, can take a joke. The clientele are snooty but oh well.
Nice open parking lot. Fresh and eye appealing meats, vegetables, fruits and bakery along with a friendly staff!
Lets face it, this is food for the rich. The meat and produce are excellent. The service is great, even at rush times. But buy your staples elsewhere.
I always love Met Market. They have absolutely everything. Cheese...so much cheese. Love this place.
A very nice store, a good meal and seafood department; excellent specially depts.
Too polished and upscale for me, but has good cheese selection, good bread, and tasty prepared dishes.
The best of all things. Customer service is top notch too! I love the fresh produce.
Prices are high but an excellent place to swing through on a bike ride along the Burke-GIlman trail. Grab a couple of deli items and head for Magnuson Park to enjoy the water and the views. A great Seattle day!
Met Market is nice but it is definitely more expensive than other grocery stores. For specialty things that are harder to find or things you want the highest quality at a premium you should get from Met Market. For everything else go to a more mainstream grocery store.
I love this store very good environment
Expensive but worth it for unique specialty items. Awesome cheese and wines. The ultimate fresh baked cookies and gelato bar.
Great variety of organic produce, fresh meat and fish, not that good on other groceries
Great selection of Organic and very fresh produce. Excellent service. Nice wine selection.
Met market does a nice job of offering high quality produce without the prices of places like Whole Foods
My fiancé and I were just harassed for carrying my service dog through the area where there is food. Not by anyone that worked there but an older entitled lady. I’m sorry that you felt the need to infringe on my rights, and after being told 6 different times by my fiancé to please go away, still said NO. All we did was walk through the store carrying our small, hypoallergenic, dog. There is a sign outside the store saying service dogs allowed, and she said go still keep our dog away from the food areas. My dog has probably been in 30 different stores both here and in other states and I have never experienced this type of harassment.
Overpriced and filled with pretentious Tesla driving customers. And the employees look like they hate their lives. Probably because they make minimum wage to serve customers who cuss them out for not making their coffees in under 3 seconds.
Great store when you dont want to cook.Nice salad bar and soup.
Nice items at this grocery. Staff a bit slow and made many mistakes. Bagger was so slow, waited forever for her to done after we paid and she bagged it all wrong, eggs and juice on top of bananas? I now have a bunch of bruised bananas. The cashier couldnt change the receipt paper, gave up and moved herself and us to a new register after we asked if we should change lanes due to it taking so much time and the person she called over for help wasnt able to do it either. When all was said in done, finally in the car, noticed on the receipt that I was charged for 4 packs of cider, I only got 1. Back in the store to get back the $33 I over paid, lol, it sure did take a while.....nice products but be prepared to take some time at the check out and watch how your produce is packed as well as what you get charged.
Contrary to another writer on this website, I have found the Metropolitan Market cashiers to be extremely friendly, courteous and professional. I have no idea who the other writer ran into, but my wife and I have been going to MM for over ten years and NEVER have had a bad experience.
Best deli in the USA west if the missippii ... everything a bit pricey but worth it ....
Great stop when I ride or run on the trail. Good quality and service!
Customer service isnt at good here as other locations, but you get all the great items as either locales.
The new soda tax bites when you buy two items like a king size reeses and a two litre of root beer. It causes so much commotion that it attracted the unwanted attention and seeming humiliation of being told I was angry when asking about the tax and trying to do math in my head despite multiple employee interruptions and distractions. One male checker from a line or two over even had to pitch in. I was using EBT due to neuropathy and an old compression fracture and osteo-arthritis due to 32 years in a high stress trade. the best part was being told in the parking lot by a 17 something looking buck that was probably in high school and has probably never even worked under a collective bargaining agreement let alone read the discrimination and civil rights laws of our country expressed to me that I do not know why you are so worried about it, it is not even your money since I had been using EBT. I had already had enough. in my day, in the store, with unfair taxes aimed at poor people and with the t5reatment of the employees of this store. they may be fine and dandy they may be well to do. I am not. I am broke disabled and trying real hard to reenter the workforce. I just tried to evaluate the screen and asked for a minute, nobody was in line behind me. I did not ask for or want the manager. I did not want or ask for all the attention. I did not or ask for to be publicly humiliated and I did not ask to be talked to in a derogatory demeaning discriminatory civil rights violating fashion by the youngish looking store employee. The store manager was made aware at the time inside the store that I specifically felt she had unnecessarily escalated the situation. I used to like the store. I always felt kinda poor in there but they can have their merchandise and their ways. I choose not to patronize stores like that and because I am obviously on the lower end of the3 economic scale and how I was treated I think that was the idea. You can shop here.I will not. Todd Moore was here and I am a fencepusher. stand clear it is going to get stinky.
Pros: Great bakery (try The Cookie), poke bar, florals/gifts. Decent deli. Has organic/hippy stuff like a Whole Foods/PCC but also has everyday staple brands.Cons: Tends to be more expensive for everything.
I love to cook and i love quality, not to mention the incredible warm chocolate chip cookies😊
Ok, cake weirdo.. The rating is for the WHOLE store, which in my opinion is as comprehensive yet selective as a market of its size can be. My go to place
I always love the incredible selection of goodies and the sweet staff.
Surprising selection of hot sauces. The produce here is often fantastic.
The Sand Point Metropolitan Market is different than the others in Kirkland and Queen Anne. Didnt have my BMore Skyr smoothies. Small store. Waste of time.
