I dropped in while I was on a ride and experienced issues with my rear derailleur. They wrapped up a bike they were working on and within 10 minutes fixed my rear derailleur and indexed it so I was able to continue my ride. They explained the issue and had a nice chat in general about biking. No attitude and super responsive. I dont live near there but will be back, highly recommended.
This bike shop is AWESOME! As a woman learning the ins and outs of mountain biking (and my bike mechanics especially) I was amazed at how informative, respectful and diligent Roman was in working on my bike. That doesn’t always happen when I speak to repair shops or technicians about my gear. The repair was high quality, the team is kind and informative, and was incredibly respectful of getting my bike done in a timely manner. They provide all information, up front, needed to perform a complete repair - walking you though the impact of completing each repair item. From there it’s up to you. They give you their expertise and allow you the power to decide how you want to repair your bike.I love that they provide education on your gear, if you want it. This shop is awesome, Roman is awesome and I will continue to bring my road and mtn bike back here!!
I had Polka Dot Jersey pack and ship a bike to me that I had purchased through Craigslist Seattle. Freinds of mine dropped the bike off at the shop and Roman and his crew took it from there. They were always very responsive and professional through email and phone calls. The bike was packed perfectly and arrived through Bike Flights on time and in perfect shape. I could not be happier with their service and communication.
Great shop! with super friendly, knowledgeable group of guys.My son (15) and I went in to get him set up with a new mountain bike and I cannot say enough about these guys! They definitely have a passion for what they do. They went above and beyond in explaining the ins and outs of the bike with my son and sharing all kinds of tips and advice with him. Thanks for the great experience! We will definitely be back :)
Customer service was good, but I dont think they did a very good job servicing my bike. The next ride after the service the back derailleur broke, which it was pretty old and worn but couldnt help feeling like it wasnt a coincidence. Oh well. But within 200 miles, the bottom crank bracket started acting up again (which was the main reason I went in for the tune). It appears they just slapped a band aid over the problem.
Highly recommend this shop for all levels of bikes. After months of inconsistent shifting on my commuter, I finally threw in the towel and took it to someone who actually knew what they were doing. The staff immediately diagnosed and remedied the problem. Then another. Then one more after that. Stuff I never would have found on my own. Will definitely be back!
Went here on a recommendation as my rear hub had some sideways movement. I was immediately greeted and talked through the design fault, which was a super quick fix. I was helped, hub fixed, given great future advice and all free of charge! Needless to say they have my future business, awesome customer service and they clearly know their stuff.PSA: I learned that if you have a Novatec hub, they have reverse threads which have a tendency to unscrew when the thru axle is tightened, so they can be finger tightened back!
Stopped in at 6pmish on a Tuesday night, with rear derailleur issues. It turned out the exposed cable housing was way too short following some work by a mobile mechanic. Roman at the shop was extremely helpful, friendly, polite and replaced the internally routed cable on my Tarmac very quickly. The job was well done and got me back on the road to finish up my workout. The price was very reasonable for the work. A big thanks to both the shop and Roman. Thanks, Bob
So a few of us have had some minor issues, and have dropped in with things like a quick wheel true (Thanks Jackson!), or a derailleur adjustment, and they have been 100 percent friendly and welcoming. They are also open at 0800 on Saturdays, which is total genius, as most other shops have trouble unlocking the door at 10. Yes they are busy, but they arent annoying about it like other shops in the area. 10/10 from me.
For sure they have a reason but this is for me a first in 20yrs of supporting local shops...after over a month wait for some wheels truing showed at the shop and the work wasnt done. No reason, no communication, no try to make it right. Oh well, seem its time to learn to true wheels...
Excellent customer service!! Friendly, Knowledgeable and helpful advice!!
Knowledgeable shop in a great location. A nice place to pop in, learn about the latest bikes, and spend a large portion of your discretionary income. I have stopped in for minor adjustments and theyve been extremely helpful when I would be otherwise stranded. This is the best mountain bike shop in Seattle and they do events to help build the community. Check them out, I recommend them to all my friends.
Had an unexpected mechanical on the 2nd ride of a new bike... Rolled down the hill to Polka Dot Jersey. Matt fixed me up right to manage home. My only complaint is that he refused to take my money :)Proper shop. Great vibe and valuable service
The reviews dont lie, these guys are awesome! Their passion for bikes comes across as easy going and helpful. They are not like other shops that can be intimidating and rude if you dont know everything there is to know about bikes. They are going to make sure you love being on your bike and ensure everything is dialed in to keep it running in top form. Stop in to talk with them, you wont regret it!
Fantastic Shop - Great Service28 miles out on a ride I popped a spoke on Lake Washington Blvd and immediately had a potato chip for a back wheel. I got my wheel to Polka Dot Jersey Cycle, they fixed it immediately, and I was able to continue my ride with minimal delay.Very grateful to know these guys are here. Very fair price for replacing a spoke and truing up a wheel? I jumped back on my bike feeling really good about a very fair business transaction.
These guys are great. Super helpful, friendly and humble. Remarkable for a bike shop.
Lifesavers! I was doing a 10K ride when literally everything that could go wrong with my bike, went wrong -- chain became undone/misaligned, flat tire, brakes were faulty. Luckily all this bad fortune happened within a few yards of this store. I was able to go in and get it all fixed within 15 minutes. The guy didnt even charge me (looong story). I wish I couldnt tipped him more, but was riding with limited ca$h. Cannot thank yall enough. Thank you thank you thank you!
These guys are probably amazing in person, but this shop is simply incapable of following up on email requests. Its annoying this day in age that manufacturer parts are only sold/ordered through retailers, even worse is a shop who you have to nudge 5x times to get an update... and Im still waiting.
One of the best bike shops Ive been to in Seattle! As a lady cyclist, its very refreshing to visit a bike shop where the mechanics are comfortable talking to you and not condescending. I felt really at ease going there and asking questions--a quality I wish was more common in all bicycle shops. They did great work on my bike! Id logged 4,000 miles and it was in desperate need of some love.
I had a great experience working with Matt to design a custom bike - he went above and beyond to make sure everything came out right. The attention to detail was awesome. When my rack and fenders werent mounting correctly, Matt custom fabricated new parts to make them work. After that, Matt helped me get together parts for a wacky project (a rebuild of a 34cm kids road bike with high end components and new custom wheels). Again, I was super impressed.
These guys rock! It was pouring down rain and I stopped off to get a replacement nut for my saddle nose thats been rocking around for months. Within 10 minutes I was back on the road, saddle fixed, and my strokes a bit lighter for the lively conversation. Ill be back.
Matt and Bob went out of their way to give the best possible option for a bike fix, got it done ahead of schedule and went the extra mile to make sure my bike was even better than expected at pickup. They were very knowledgable, very friendly, with professional work done at a good rate. Id recommend this shop to anyone for bike repair or sale.
Hands down, in every way, the best bike shop in Seattle. Extremely knowledgeable staff, top notch repairs, with an honest and friendly experience. The most capable wrenches in town!
I walked into this shop last Friday afternoon and none of the three employees were wearing masks. As in, the masks were not around their chins or necks, they had NO MASKS ON. I was also not greeted, and the young men behind the counter were too preoccupied with the computer and bike repair to ask me what I needed. Unfortunate stereotypical bro culture.
Fantastic service and incredible knowledge.
Fantastic bike service on a variety of bikes - cross, MTB, gravel and road bikes. Super nice crew with a ton of knowledge to share. I learn something new every time Im in the shop. Very involved in the local cycling and race community. This place is legit.
Super Nice staff, dog friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and they dont make you feel pressured to buy anything. Great music in the shop too! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone from beginners to racers, and from road to DH :)
Great new shop! These guys do quality work and their service was better than ive had elsewhere. Two thumbs up!
Matt & crew has always done a good job for us. No re-dos so far, and very familiar and competent at tuning up our tandems (2 Cannondales that we have owned). I would recommend him without reservation. Only comment is that hes quite busy and has a smallish shop - so call ahead and make arrangements to bring your bike in for maintenance. If you do have a problem and drop in for a quick fix though, if he can hell help you out!
Im from Kelowna, BC, but whenever Im in Seattle Ill try to stop by. Nice shop, friendly staff. Good selection of socks, too!
The mecanicien did a perfect job in bringing the hydraulic back brake on the back of a Giant expedition traveller back to life.Imported this one from the Netherlands and after putting it back together the brakes did not work so well, was unaware that hydraulic brakes seem to be a hassle in the US.
Asked for a tool, got instant friendly service. Generous and non judgmental.
Have been in 5-6 times and these guys are always super helpful, quick, dont try to oversell and are willing to get creative to make something work. Best bike shop I know of.
They stayed open late to fix a peddle so I didnt have to take a taxi home charged a small fair amount. Good guys for sure
Nice as heck and helpful as heck
First time here. Great, quick, friendly service even on a busy Sunday afternoon - Ill be back
A bit light on supply.
I had a tire repaired and it was prompt, pleasant service.
Held me with my bike immediately when I brought it in after it breaking in the area.
