We all loved our meal here! I had the new york strip steak, my husband had the ribs, and my dad loved his burger! The steaks are pretty pricey but I think it was worth it for a treat. Thank you for a great meal! The place is super cute too.

Hands Down the best burger in Sarasota. Im a professional chef that owns two food businesses in Sarasota so I feel I can say this confidently. Its a no frills, casual steakhouse where the concentration is put on the quality of the meat. As I have only done take-out...as a restaurant person its still too depressing to eat in restaurants in these covid days...I cant really speak for service, but everyone with the exception of one time, has been very friendly and professional. I have not had anything but the burger yet, but have heard great things and plan to dine their on a big juicy steak soon. Also cannot speak for the butcher shop as I have not purchased, but it looks like a nice selection of gorgeous cuts. ***My only gripes...Better bun for the burger and better fries. A burger of that caliber deserves a better bun and better fries. I know a lot of people are into those battered fries, but to me skin-on hand-cuts are the only way to go and there are two great frozen fry companies out there that make them. Thanks for the amazing burger Alpine, looking forward to a big juicy steak soon!

Their 1/2lb sirloin burger was good. I was expecting more homemade delicious food. I would not come here again. The place is clean and the wait staff very nice. Just typical American menu.

They have the BEST Cheeseburgers in town by far!! I also tired their fresh smoked BBQ ribs today and they were AMAZING!! Both the ribs and the burger were juicy and they burger was cooked to my requested temperature perfectly. My waitress Ashley was great and you could tell everyone really liked her and her service! I cannot give Alpine enough stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😊

I had heard of the Alpine Steakhouse and Butcher Shop through Guy Fieris Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and was excited to see how good it would be dining there.Started off with the French Onion Soup, and Clams Casino, Mussels in Butter and Parmesan Cheese, and the Turducken.Pros: Great service, the French Onion soup, the Mussels in Butter and Parmesan Cheese, the Mashed Potatoes with Gravy and Stuffing were wonderful.I easily could have had the Mashed Potatoes and Gravy with the Stuffing as a meal by itself!Cons: Clams Casino was a bland twist of Cajun spices but not quite sure what it was supposed to taste like but not your traditional Clams Casino.The Turducken was such a disappointment.It was dry and bland.Even the gravy couldnt save it.Unsure what Guy thought of it back then when he filmed it but it has changed for the worse.I wish it was better but it was disappointing.

So Ive been here twice, once for dinner and once to grab a couple of steaks to cook at home. Eat there, the steak was better and you if not you can always let the kitchen know. I brought 2 very expensive ribeyes home one night and lets just say they werent sixty dollar steaks even though thats what each of them cost me. Im not saying they were bad, just that Ive had much better for less. Dine in experience was fantastic though. We had a really good waitress and the food was very good. Turducken was excellent as well as the gorgonzola topped filet.

Honestly this place was a lot better before. Something had to change. Appetizers took 20 minutes to get and it was dry as hell. Side salad was nothing special . Main course Sirloin steak was warm/cold when I received it. Very disappointed this time. Sometimes places do go downhil. I dont know. At least they could have credited the bad meal. Oh well.

I really like this place- the sandwiches are all super good and honestly big enough that I cam eat it for 2 meals - and they are all a great prices. So go to Wendys and grt a nasty, greasy meat cheeseburger Value meal for $8 or come here and get a 1/2 lb sirloin burger for $10 with real meal, huge quantity. Love it

The staff was great, very polite and informative. The food was incredible and reasonably priced for what you get. Their steaks had exceptional flavor only being cooked with salt. My wife had the turducken and is in love. The ahi tuna was great and even the bread was exceptional.

Great place! True locally owned restaurant. Super steak selection not available anywhere in Sarasota/Manatee with dry aged prime meats available. They know their meats. Service was great, quick and efficient. Prices are less than the chain steakhouses.

From our 2017 stop:Another Triple D winner!!Turduckin is bizarre and delicious at the same time....the Homemade Chips were awesome as was the Dessert Truffles...the Mrs had the New York Strip and it was excellent as well.The staff was outstanding...we had a great time.From my 2020 stop:Hadnt been back in a few trips so I stopped in for another visit to this TripleD great for a bite to eat.Grabbed a Turducken Sandwich on this trip as Id had the big Turducken Meal on the last visit.It was amazing....these folks know how to do it!!Waitress was very nice...Great folks all around!2021:Stopped by with the Mrs and I ordered the Turducken Dinner once again...just as good as I remembered!One of my favorite scenes from TripleD over the years was Guy Fieris expression when he saw the deboning process on the turkey...😆😆😆

Well, Im going to start off with......Average ! On a scale of 1-10 .....Im giving a 5 and I honestly think my rating is fair. I had the Pastrami sandwich, it just didnt taste that good. You can do better ANYWHERE! Another person in my group got the beef tips and the meat wasnt cooked ! Better places to eat dont bother with this overrated joint.....

What a great lunch experience. The food was excellent and the French dip superb. The servers were attentive and a fantastic.

Hubby, son and I all ordered the Filet. They were prepared as ordered and were delicious. Twice Baked Potato was also excellent. The Steak Fries were nothing more than a wedged baked potato, very disappointing. Equally disappointing was the service. 3 Filets with 2 added sides and a bottle of non-reserve red $170 before tip. Id go back and hope for a different server...

The schnitzel was thin and cardboard like no flavor, I was told that the sauce on top adds the flavor. I was told that the meat is not seasoned prior cooking but the Goulash meat is marinated. One of my favourite sides is spicy red cabbage tasted vinegary, my friend could not swallow the taste taste (I have a great recipe) we have this with many meat dishes at the table. Frank left hungry after a center cut steak the he said it was less satisfying than a burger and the rice portion was maybe a small cup. Wright an honest review next time you eat there.

Can I say Wow? No. Because, Wow does not do this place justice. No words do. I know that was very dramatic, but this was the first meal I had ALL day, after six hours of driving back home to Sarasota.I forget our waiters name, but he was amazing. Very polite, laid back sort of guy! He, as well as the other staff members that stopped by our table, were kind and talkative! Robbie is also a national treasure. He waved at me from over the butcher counter, then came over to say hello.Other restaurants could take note from Alpine Steakhouse; this is how you run an excellent business, with happy, content, repeat customers.I will certainly be back.

Been going for 9 years now and this has been the worst time ever. Keeps gradually getting worse. Food took a long time to get. Appetizer was dry like it was rewarmed. Steak was cold. Potato was dry as hell. Not good at all. $34 for a cold steak? Waitress didnt even comp for the meal.

We made it a point to visit the local DDD on our latest travels and Alpine Steakhouse did not disappoint. We started with the crab cake appetizer which was the best Ive ever had. Full of crab, no filler, and fried to perfection.My husband had the bratwurst with sauerkraut which he would rate at a 2 on a scale of 1-5. It was too bland for his taste, no bite, no crunch. His fries were crispy as he likes them. On our next visit, he would like to try the knockwurst.I had the Cuban sandwich which was good. I ended up taking the bread off since it was filling me too quick. I also had the cucumber salad which was bland for my taste but good overall. On our next visit, I would like to try the French dip.Our server, Chase, was very good, attentive and knowledgeable.They had a large variety of fresh items that you could take home and a good selection of wine.

What a great experience. We got 3 different lunch items. Steak n frites (steak fries), Philly Cheese Steak with Beer batter Fries (both pictured) and the Steak house burger with steak fries (not pictured). The food was great. On our way out we bought some Hot and Mild Home made Sausage and rolls... the staff was very friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back with the whole family and for dinner...

Not a fancy place but dont let that fool you. Queens cut prime rib really good and seemed more than 10 ounces. Steak fries were actually crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Very pleasant place and nice waiters. Enjoyed dinner. Only complaint is that I do not believe the oysters were from Louisiana and the raw oyster had warm shells so had not been stored on ice. This concerns me. They were served on the half shell but not released from the bottom shell. I like the restaurant and will certainly go back. Plenty of parking. Signs hard to miss.

If there is a better, 1/2-lb burger in all of Sarasota...I havent found it. You are going to be shocked at the almost vintage menu- pricing. Attentive, old-school waitressing just adds to the atmosphere. I need to go later in the day, so I can enjoy a draft with the burger and the exceptional fries (seasoned, stake/steak-cut or beer-battered). Easy parking, too!

Very awesome! Old time steakhouse feel with a butcher counter! Steaks are excellent wide steakhouse variety of food including fish chicken and ribs as well as a few German selections like weiner schnitzel! The service was excellent the atmosphere is great. The ONLY downside to this restaurant is the fact that its beer and wine only which can be overlooked because the food and service is fabulous.

Carryout cowboy bone in ribeye. Ordered 2. Forgot the marsala sauce. Comes with one side which was a small amount. Ordered an extra side for more money. It was about a tablespoon amount. No rolls or bread. Presentation very boring. Could have ordered from carrabbas for half the price. Alpine needs to learn how to do carry out. Especially when someone is shelling out $100. I have purchased alot at this deli over the years but will not get carryout again.

Will definitely be back. Steaks were wonderful, very tender and great flavor. Bread and dessert were also so good!

The prime rib is something everyone should experience. My husband and I have been eating here for over 6 years, and we have never found another restaurant that had better prime rib. It is exceptional, and something that we look forward to every time we go.

Horrible we buy steak from the butcher area but this time we decide to eat it was are 1st time trying to eat there we nearly sat for hour we watched 2 tables walk in little longer went by and then walking people across from us got there food 1st its been nearly hour wheres my food!!!!! then I watched are server Im pretty sure its was my sandwich put on the customer table customer tells the server thats not his sandwich!!! Butcher guys are amazing people but your server today was not on her ge place was not even busy. Very disappointed!!

Fantastic service and advice from the knowledgeable staff (heres looking at you, Colin) plus all the best trimmings made in house. Artichoke stuffed mushrooms, twice baked potatoes,, etc., all ready to take home to reheat and are to die for, and all the best steakhouse wines at reasonable prices.

I had the best steak Ive ever had. It was absolutely perfect. I came for the Diners Drive-ins and Dives concept of turducken, but ended up getting steak and man am I satisfied. Im sure the turducken was great, but that steak was mouth watering. Hungarian goulash was nice too. Clam chowder was authentic and bread was warm and delicious. Five stars all the way. Customer service was great as well.

Visited Alpine today for the first time. There were 4 of us in our party and each one of us were delighted!! The meals were fantastic!! We cant wait to go back! The prime meats they sell look great. In-house made sausage, hand cut meats.Great wine selections as well. Clean, fun, delicious and welcoming. Love it!

Certainly one of our favorite restaurants. Perfect time to enjoy their outdoor eating area. My favorite lunch there is their Prime Rib sandwich with Lobster Bisque soup, Cappuccino sharing any of their desserts. Excellent restaurant that my family and I highly recommend.

The beef stroganoff, prime rib, and cherry cobbler were amazing! We will be coming back for sure.

A local gem for generations: A wonderful butcher shop to get prime meats among other items, and a great place to get a casual steak or have them cook up your fresh catch! many people dont realize you can do this but if you have a fresh catch you can call ahead and make a reservation for a hook and cook and they do an awesome job blackening it or frying it for a very reasonable price! Attached is a picture from todays lunch of some fresh yellowtail Snapper I caught 2 days ago!

Purchased two center cut sirloins and both were so fatty. Server was okay. Others in our party purchased other items and were happy with their pick. Would stay away from steak at this place. When I told server as he was taking plates away he said you should have said something when you started eating although 80% of steak was still there.

Awesome food and service this afternoon. The Rueban and Filet Mignon sandwiches were cooked perfect and the stuffed mushrooms were excellent.

Had Dinner there last night. Both my Wife and myself ordered Steak and Shrimp. I ordered my Steak Medium/pink, came to me Well done, Shrimp was luke warm. Sent my Steak back, 2nd Steak was returned to me, again Well done, showed the Steak to the Waiter, he rolled his eyes and walked away. This place is over rated. Nothing Special.

Had a wonderful steak and my wife really enjoy their bacon cheese burger. Will definitely return when and if Im ever back this way again. There were so many other options to try and if they are as good as what we had then this place is a sure thing when visiting.

Best Steak I ever ate!!

This old fashion restaurant and deli is an absolute must when visiting Sarasota. The 3 days absolutely delicious and made fresh. The menu covers a variety of food large variety of different options. They have dishes covering beef, holtry, work, and fish. I highly recommend the turducken.

From the time we made our reservation with Mark and then received excellent service from our waiter Jeff. Everything was just perfect. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the flavor was amazing.. I wish I would have gotten the name of the butcher because you could tell he loved his job and proud everything he does there.

Always a great experience at the market and top notch food and fresh! Friendly staff too. A very clean and enjoyable shopping experience-always. Try the Butchers Special for 2! Two bacon-wrapped large filets, gorgonzola salad, bread, 4 stuffed mushrooms, loaded baked potatoes, and bearnaise sauce. All for two people and a great price. You take it home and cook it yourself!

Had dinner there tonight, St. Patrick day, corn beef and cabbage good but barely warm, potatoes what there was of them ok, carrots hard as rocks, service was fair, staff seemed understaffed, for the money was not a good value.

DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU VALUE YOUR HEALTH.First let me say the butcher staff are friendly, the quality of their meats are good and the prepared food is decent on the restaurant side of the business.However, I am only giving it one star because of their complete disregard of staff/customer safety during the COVID pandemic. Not one butcher, not one waiter and not one of the patrons eating in were wearing masks or gloves (butcher). The waiter handed me a pen to sign for my take out order and did not wipe it after I used it and he continued to use it for other orders.Clearly this business is promoting denial of the COVID risks by their behavior and disregard for social distancing. I would not go back and would recommend people find a different restaurant which has the common sense to show that they at least care about their customers concerns for health and safety.

We went for my birthday dinner. The meal was very good, the table service was outstanding. I would highly recommend the hot dogs in the meat counter all beef quarter pound $3.99 a lb to take home.

Shared a 24oz bone-in Rib Eye steak, and it was cooked to perfection. A little heavily salted, but that seems to be the trend for steaks, so I have no complaints. Added the side Gorgonzola salad and was impressed with its generous size. Friendly, helpful waitstaff, and no delays for a seat. Highly recommend.
