I needed walk up pay assistance with FPL bills and Freddy at the customer service counter at the Sarasota Fl. University store was of amazing help and attitude. It took us about 45 minutes to bill pay all of my bills and he was cheerful and friendly through the very long process. Just another reason I love shopping shopping and the service at Publix.

Good selection but Publix can be a bit pricey so make sure you hit the Bogos as they are a great value. And the Publix bakery is always good for a few delicious finds.

I just got a new job there, great place to shop and work as always.

Nice and friendly but they need more cashiers and more food on the shelves at cheaper prices Im not paying 50 bucks for a 10 lb turkey thats not even a name brand

Picture of what use to be a fresh meat counter full of savory steaks. It is now pre-packaged grab and go servings for 1-2 as if no one entertains or eats a meal as a family. Shame on Publix. Less cuts of meat means less employees.

This Publix is the very BEST one Ive ever shopped at.

This is the only Publix of the four or five local ones that Im familiar with that has a self serve salad bar. The quick lunch grab and go stuff is all by the door and very convenient.

FIVE Stars because at this Publix they have an AMAZING cooking school with amazing Chefs - both hands on or demonstration type cooking classes! You choose they are both amazing! They even have cooking classes for young kids and summer intensive camps for kids!! Hidden Gem here for the Sarasota area!

I absolutely love this location, it’s brand new super clean everything’s always organized very well. Everyone who works there is always super friendly and helpful, they’re always super excited when I come in and I have the baby with me and they’re always very friendly and kind to my baby. As well as they Always have the most beautiful flowers and Orchid’s.

We stopped in to grab a few weekly dinner items. We needed a specific item we have never purchased and we were directed specifically to its location. This will be our new shopping location.

I claim in the meat dept for the price not match with the sale add, I think is incorrect the price by weigh and they say is correct..not change...very indignant with the service, I return the meat package and dont buy.More attention please!!!!!!!!!! Maybe I can have this package for free because Publix policy said is the price is incorrect you take for free...but I dont have the time to talk with the manager...

One thing I like about Publix Supermarket is that they go to great effort to keep everything fresh. I dont remember having to take anything back. Having to return something to a grocery store because it has gone bad can be a real turn off. Ive tried shopping at some of the discounted supermarkets. I dont really think that shopping at Publix costs more in the long run. Theres a lot of selection in organic foods and its often less than at Whole Foods.

The people there are always helpful and friendly. The place is always clean and it is not hard to found what you need. I find that Publix products are as good as the name brand.

Had a very excellent experience!!!! I stopped by for items. Neeed to get Purdue thin sliced chicken breast. I find lots of publix dont carry. its hit or miss as you need to scramble from publix to publix. So as I looked in this store and discovered they dont carry. I saw a guy I believe to be meat manager. Young guy Green shirt. He said grab the regular Purdue whatever you want. And I will thin cut it for you!!! That was fabulous customer service!!!!! As no other publix in the county has ever offered that..VERY IMPRESSED!!!!

I want to recognize Brandon in the baking department, he is an outstanding person, he always serves people with a smile and advices on the best way to buy at the bakery, I think Brandon would make an excellent person for the management team..Gods speed Brandon

This store is fabulous! Manager Dan Murphy has been with the store since it opened 18 years ago and works at least 3 weekends a month. Customer service is exrmplary.

Cake was made for daughters graduation and it was beautiful! Colors were perfect, just missed our chocolate and vanilla for the cake part as we got only vanilla. It was delicious though!! Thank you Melanie and the other bakery ppl for making it a special day!

Its ok. Prices are off the charts. My grandma said the same decades ago. Nothings changed.Dont make the mistake of doing self checkout with a full cart unless you enjoy scanning one item, waiting the six seconds for the computer to tell you what you scanned, etc., Then scan your next item. Any more than three items, and you MUST take the bag away/ off the scale. Three items? Yawn.Yes, I know this isnt Publix, its their IT department. But, its cumulative, so we wont return. Why, when I can get my meats elsewhere and my staples from someplace cheaper? Follow?

Very clean store. Big selections and varieties. I walked through there for a good amount of time and I did not get asked if I needed help with anything by the associates or even any acknowledgement like a hi or hello. There also was not many registers open and even the self-checkout was backed up. I really hope that the Publix chain isnt going to become like the Wal Mart stores and have less customer contact and more machines.

I went to the bakery to have a cake made for my husbands birthday. It was Bigfoot themed. I showed them a picture from online of what I wanted. They were not able to do exactly the cake but Im pleased with what they were able to create. The innovation was on point. I brought the bigfoot and big trees for the cake.

Bakery manager, Sarah, went above and beyond to cater to may questions.I sent a friend to order a bridal cake from them because she was so knowledgeable and personable.These are two things lost in employeeS during covid19 epidemic.I hope they create more staff memberike her. She made my experience. I will continue to shop at this publix because of her.

Friendly and courteous staff. Can be a bit hard to find a certain product after they moved everything around, but just ask the staff and theyll walk you right to it!

Clean stores. People who shop here are mask nazis, but leave you alone. Shop here if you want to go broke or have a lot of extra money to spend. 1 gallon milk over $5 here, compared to $2.28 at the the most obvious low cost alternative.

I feel bad giving this Publix 2 stars bc this is our preferred Publix. However on 2 different occasions I bought a premise sandwich and found a long strand of hair in it. I bought one 2 weeks ago and I found a long dark hair after opening the sealed container. I love the bogos and the people but ugh it was gross finding those hairs.

Customer Service was very polite and helpful. Store is pretty new and very clean as well

Its always a pleasure at Publix

This store made me feel like a thief. In the self checkout line the lady in charge of watching everyone check out their things was hovering and snarky when I had an issue with bagging an item. It all started when I was swiping all of my 0.68 cent yogurts. She heard all of the .68 cent items being swiped and it grabbed her attention. Sorry I like yogurt 🤷‍♀️ I felt like I was shopping at a Walmart the way I could feel her eyes burning through the back of my head... Never again. Theres a reason I shop at the Publix on S.R. 70 and Lockwood... its much further away from me but everyone there is so much more welcoming.

This place is fantastic! Its like a Super Publix, they even have their own Starbucks in there! It was very clean, the staff was nice, and the shelves were stocked. The real test is how well they arrange their produce, it takes time and attention to make it look as nice as they did, shows a lot of dedication. Wish I lived closer to this store so it would be my normal stop.

This Publix sucks. Disorganized, no staff and unlike every other Publix in town, they only exchange 5 gallon Zephryhills Water bottles so even if you bought the jug at another Publix you cant exchange it for a full one here. Save yourself the hassle and go to a different store.

Employees at this store are extremely helpful and caring.

Overpriced and too many self checkouts with self bagging. For a store which prides itself in service and NOT having to bag yourself this is unacceptable. 2 registers open and the rest is self check out. Why is this store so expensive then? They are cutting back on employees and service....start cutting back on prices!

Best Publix there is. Very large store, friendly associates, and clean. About two years ago, I decided to have a smaller wedding and got my cake, and hot food catered and delivered from Publix. Best idea ever!! Not only did everything taste amazing, but it was extremely budget-friendly. I thank your store and the ladies that helped me with everything. (Wedding was Oct 2018)

The publix itself is lovely but cashier Don G. was incredibly rude. I interrupted him from another customer, not realizing he wasnt done with her. she reminded him that she was getting $20 cash back and he said oh sorry, I was INTERRUPTED. I even apologized for that. treated me with clear contempt as I asked questions and after I told the bagger I didnt want some items bagged he began bagging them so I said Im sorry sir, I dont want those bagged. he slid them at me like he was waving me off, just absolutely done with me, I left confused and frustrated, feeling like Id done something wrong. SO sorry I didnt realize he was still with his other customer when telling me just one moment please would have gone a long way. the bagger girl with him was so sweet. Im very sorry she had to work his line today.
