The lengua and cabeza are the best Ive had in Florida. Service is great. If their is a line it moves quick. It has a fresh fruit drink bar and Ive never had a bad meal here. Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I came here hoping to get some good Mexican ingredients and meats. Unfortunately the staff ignored us because neither of us speak Spanish. It felt as though we were not welcome. Coming from California these stores were all over the place and the staff was friendly. Im very disappointed with this location, Ill have to try the others in the area.

If you havent been in a while, make sure to go again! The food is authentic, well seasoned, and they really updated the place. The pan dulce is also fresh, just the right amount of sweetness. It took me right to my childhood. The birria burrito was juicy and flavorful, the lengua was perfectly tender (and the meat to other ratio is exactly what you want). Cant wait to try the chiles rellenos next!

First time I had the tacos they were really good. The last two times horrible horrible! I was so embarrassed I took my family there and everyone ordered something different, ALL WAS HORRIBLE! Passing off unflaverful beans and rice, dry disgusting meats, tacos with ALL fat mo meat. Just disgusting all all around. Stearns clear of this place if the kitchen looks anything like the rest of place even worse. Food absolutely worse that 0 stars.

The taco stand outside of the store that is only there on weekends is awesome. Been looking for a place that serves al pastor tacos that this. Is definitely not well known to a lot of people since is only during nights on weekends, but it is worth the trip.

They sold me a pound of meat that looks and tastes like it was cooked days ago. Reheated leftovers.I bought chicken tacos one day and liked the meat so much that I went back the next day and bought a pound. The pound of meat was so bad that I’m positive it was reheated leftovers. Tender and juicy one day, but dry and gross the next day. I threw it out.

So gross!!! Rubber steak, fatty tacos, all just disgusting.

Original review: Ate here yesterday. Some of the best Mexican food Ive ever eaten. Love it, probably going back again today!Update: Revisited 5 years later, a few days after returning from a trip to CDMX. Closest thing in Sarasota to Mexico City tacos. Tortillas are grilled with a little fat from the meat to make them crispy in the edges. The cabeza is probably the best taco in Sarasota.

The staff are excellent and willing to help people. When my phone was empty, the staff used their phones to help me call a taxi, and thanked them very much.

I’m so impressed with this store. So clean & well organized. The produce selection is excellent. The meat case was full of delicious options and looked so fresh & amazing. Great looking fresh shrimp, too. The baked goods were a great variety. I’m going back to get some! I had to restrain myself today. 😆I ate the birria tacos & esquites. Very good.Can’t wait to go back.

Good food, I have been a customer since they opened this location. The food is good, honestly and so are the homemade maiz tortillas. But I feel like the quality or perhaps the flavor is not as consistent as it was years ago. They have the BEST BEST BEST Champurado in Sarasota, hands down...that I am aware of 😉

GREAT MEXICAN FOOD!!!If your hungry when you get there you wont be after you eat. Large portions. Reasonably priced. Theres too much to tell you about, you just have to stop in there and see what they got. A lot of items that are hard to find.Pots, pans, cookers. It is a small little grocery store, produce, meat market and restaurant.Breakfast, lunch, dinner. Eat in or take home or to work.

This restaurant is a welcomed break from big chain establishments. The food is authentic, and as much as I enjoy the comfort of places like Chipotle, and Tijuana Flats, this is how tacos are supposed to be made. The decor is full of culture, and feels homey. We will definitely be back to try their other dishes. Happy to see a place like this thriving!

I stop here at least once a week. They have the most amazing paletas! Creamy smooth sweet sugary goodness frozen on a stick. I bought 40 of them recently for a company event and they were a huge hit. Support this place!

An perdido la calidad. Felt so uninvited. Went to sit down and was told not to, because she was cleaning the table which had nothing to do with the Chairs. The line was getting long so we stood by the trash in which she also could’ve waited to take out instead of making us uncomfortable. Also, had nothing. Absolutely nothing. Why even have a menu if you’re going to be out of everything? I come all the way from Ocala to this place. A two hour drive for nasty food. Never again!

The is only a review on just one product. Their chamango! I bought this today and the lady described it very yummy but then she stated to make it and I watch as she did it. She put ice half way and then change and mango and she did this process twice. And I thought she would put on the the blender but she didnt! She just handed it to us. Pretty much its ice with chamoy topped with a little bit of mango.

EXTREMELY dissapointed over time this place have gotten worse. When they first open everything seemed fresh and good. Now its like they are serving food from days ago. Chicarrones use to be meatty and good, now they are dried all the time just full of grease..What made me leave a review today is because my fiance went early in the am to get tamales when he got there they said they would have to heat them up so he said ok. As soon as he got home my daughters grabbed some and opened them they were not fully cooked and some were rock hard and dry. Seems like now that they have the cliental now they are serving garbage!!

This place has everything from cakes, pinatas, produce, meat market, seafood, ice cream parlor, in house restaurant, milk, eggs, cheese, sour cream, can goods, salsas, chips, sodas of all kind, variety of beer, tobacco, laundry and dish soaps, spoons, forks, pots and pans, I can keep going! Staff is well trained very helpful and bilingual, you will love that place!

The food is great however if you dont speak Spanish fluently they make you feel horrible. I try to speak as much as I can since the girl cant speak English and they make you feel bad for trying.

Yesterday, Sunday, December 8, I bought barbecue, I always bought it in Acapulco Tropical, and I wanted to try it, in THE SPRING, but OMG !!!!, I really do not recommend it, they sold me a hard, dark, leathery meat that is safe I do not miss that day, I think it was the day before, we could not chew it, it was crap, I do not recommend it, and it is expensive, better go to Acapulco Tropical, it is cheaper, at $ 6.50 a pound, and it is soft, and when they prepare it there at the moment, I am sorry, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT, that meat DOES NOT EAT IT.

I like the food they offer and their quality.

To take a lunch from outside they dont let you in or out, and aside the attention and the food is bad, I dont recommend them OR DARE TO GO
