I love this Publix and Publix in general! The deli is excellent, the hot prepared foods are phenomenal, the produce section is fresh with variety and the bakery is absolutely SWEET!! I couldnt find those caramel apple thingies and the manager there literally stopped what he was doing and physialt showed me where they were. Great customer service. I was already late as well, so that simple gesture was everything to me today. Thank you!

Went in for a simple Fried chicken order. 25 min later left with no chicken and the explanation of “we are short handed”. Employees there were working at snails pace, and definitely left not happy

Love the variety of produces section and the hot prepared food has something different almost every day. Deli sandwiches are usually fresh and they have a salad bar with desert. It’s also really clean which is a big plus do to Covid still. The staff is really helpful, though some of them in the deli/ hot prepared foods can use a little more training on sanitation when using gloves and changing them out when working in another area between customers and not touching their personal clothing/ mask when making a customers food. Pros and cons, but the store is worth shopping at safely.

This place is a wonderful place to shop. They have great Buy One Get One deals weekly and I take full advantage. They offer a range of customer service options from rain checks to ordering and getting in stock your favorite items. Publix is a staple of the south and when one leaves they will truly crave a Publix Sub with your choice of bread and Publix or Boar Head meat to go inside the bread. They also have a great sub dressing, dont forget that.

Ordered a Publix Ultimate sub using their app. Nancy in the deli did a magnificent job. Everything was exactly as I ordered and it was ready on time. In Customer Service, Hailey (aka Lee Lee) did an excellent job helping me with a money transfer.

Terrible experience!! Publix is suppose to be customer service based. This worker here was harassing me and following me around the store calling me out on the clothes I’m wearing, calling me the b word, and flicking me off whenever I walked by. All because he wasn’t happy his “manager” walked into my shopping cart with his float. Which isn’t a big deal I get accidents happen but for a gentleman to Harass me as a young women is very unprofessional and unacceptable. On top of this wasn’t even wearing a name tag or an apron with his uniform. I know when I worked at Publix if I didn’t have on my name tag or apron I got in trouble for it. This here just proves Publix doesn’t care anymore and is lacking the professional aspect. I won’t be shopping here anymore because of this worker. & corporate will be informed on this worker.

The store was very clean and nice looking. I went to the deli spot and didnt have a problem, my sub was made to my asking. Would be back for sure !!

Clean, organized, classier. Better selection of quality items. Nice cashiers. Price wise, expect $3.00 things to be inexplicably $2.00 higher than anywhere else.

I have literally been going to this Publix since I was born. I have watched employees grow up, and their employees have watched me grow up. I have never not been taken care of properly at the store, and consider this Publix to be one of the most important landmarks in Sarasota. Everyone knows where this Publix is. If you dont, clearly you aint from around here.Now if only I could get them to start baking the Hispanic goods they bake up in Orlando....

My deli Mac and cheese was put in a bag on its side and the contents spilled open all over my top sirloin, asparagus,and organic romaine, its all over my back seat and the man I spoke to when I called acted like it was my fault and had an attitude when I told him I threw the packaging for the Mac and cheese out in the trash during the clean up process. His name was Vinny. This incident happened on a Friday morning and he told me to come on Monday and wethey will take pictures of the car, I told him I would clean it before then best I could with dawn dish soap I didnt want my car to smell. He assured me it would not smell.. I told him milk and cheese go into Mac and cheese and if I let it sit in my car in the heat till Monday I would never get the stink out. I feel insulted and belittled when all I did was spend over 150 dollars on groceries that day. I did nothing wrong and was treated as if I was the one at fault. Going to try to resolve this Monday.

I couldnt find a rather unique pharmaceutical product, and got a bit frustrated. A pharmacy tech saw my frustration, came to my rescue and with a sweet smile placed the needed article in my shopping cart. Made my whole day! 🌞

Michael and Lee Lee provided excellent customer service. Michael walked me out to my car and was so helpful and polite. I love my Publix!!

They were VERY busy (few days before Christmas so understandable) they were still very friendly and helpful. One lady saw me looking for a particular item and quickly offered to help me look for it and when checking out the register was having issues so they opened another as quick as they could so customers didnt have to wait until that register was fixed. Overall a very good Publix experience.

To the worker who brought my toddler a balloon - THANK YOU for making her day. It made grocery shopping here even more wonderful.This is a super clean store, spaced out and organized well and everyone I interacted with was very friendly.

Always find help if I need it Baggers Joseph, Harrison, Cally and Ian are friendly and good at offering to assist me to my vehicle, which I appreciate, especially after recent knee replacement surgery. Every time I come here I end up with expired food! At this point I should check every item before leaving the store, but usually I’m in a rush and wouldn’t think I would have to. Also the deli staff is plain rude. You have a Greek sandwich on your menu. When I ask for it, I’m told they don’t have the ingredients or they just leave stuff off cause they don’t like to cut avocado! So disappointing!

Great sandwiches, my favorite though is Publixs Siesta Key.

Hands down, one of the worst Publix stores I have been to in Sarasota. The majority of the staff are either incredibly rude or completely incompetent (or both) and the product selection is pathetic.

Previous reviews about expired/spoiled food are TRUE. Bought salmon this week which was clearly spoiled. Would have easily gotten food poisoning from it. They initially refused to refund my money because I didnt have my receipt. Trash customer service

This is my favorite Publix. I’m in Publix every day and usually choose this one. The employees are always Super friendly and helpful. One Employee Maxwell always has a Smile on his face and willing to help. Actually walk you right to the product your looking for.No questioning the work Ethics in this store. Especially Maxwell.

Sale prices never ring up accurately. You need to always watch the cashier to make sure prices are ringing up as advertised. Every time I go, they are always out of common items. Staff is friendly, but overall clueless.

Always a pleasure at Publix.The currant situation in the county, state, country, and world make shopping more annoying than ever! Publix does its best to mitigate the inconveniences of distancing in stores that were never designed for this situation, and are pretty well stocked on most items including their sale stock, not perfect but who is these days!My only complaint is that the baggers could use a little more training in how to group like items more appropriately. I load the cart and subsequently the conveyor belt to make this fairly simple but alas I get back to my car and have to rearrange my bags.For example, raw meats should be by themselves without any other consumables with or near them. As well placing items that could be crushed or otherwise damaged in the same bag with heavy items.Overall a great place to shop!

They have always been great at this store. Their stock levels have been a bit spotty lately because of the pandemic but Publix has been our go to grocery store for 15 years. #1 in customer service!

First time I’ve ever had a complaint about publix. Older lady in deli making the sandwiches and wraps was absolutely rude to my mother about touching her OWN MASK because the lady was having a hard time hearing her. Raised her voice to the point my own mother was in tears afterwards. Shame on you!!!

I just got in a screaming fight with an eighty something cashier who spoke to me like I was crazy for not knowing that Publix instituted a ration which means you can only buy two of each thing. She was very rude about me buying two each of the different flavors of broth like I was trying to steal it or pull one over on her🙄. There was a buy two get one deal for fizzy water. she and the developmentally challenged bag boy argued over whether I was allowed the free one because its soda (the only un-rationed item in the store) or no wait was it water? Because water was rationed. She ended up calling some more patient soul over to finish the order and after throwing my reusable bags on the floor she basically fired me. Chaos.

Pharmacy visit..staff busy but very efficient.

I felt like Nancy at the deli was talking about me and my boyfriend when we were ordering subs, whenever she went to get the meat for the sub she would talk to her other coworker quietly which might be one of the reasons why she takes a while to make them and she is also very extremely slow. it takes about 5 -7 minutes for someone to make a sub at the Centergate plaza. She takes 15 minutes to make one sub. And she is not very friendly either. We felt like we were a bother.

Some isles are a little narrow but the have better stock than some other stores

Is it in there to just to get a sub and many people walking around with no mask very uncomfortable and I would’ve been in and out but had to wait on the chicken tenders get done 20 minutes

Always a great place to shop for groceries. Staff is always very friendly and extremely helpful. Selection is usually very good; however, this Deli doesnt carry the Amish Potato Salad that other Publix carries. It is very good. Our primary place to shop for groceries.

Great staff and a great store. I tried to call and compliment 2 employees - Roger in the Deli and Lori at check out but was placed on hold for over 10 mins and no one from management came to the call. These two individuals are wonderful if you get the chance to engage with them! I’m not sure if Management automatically assumed the call was a complaint; they should do a better job at taking all calls.

I have shopped almost exclusively at this Village Plaza Publix in my neighborhood since moving to Sarasota in 1978. Love it.

Enrique the store manager is a wonderful guy! He took some time to learn sign language and it means a lot. He knows how to treat not just customers but everyone else.

Clean and helpful place

Went to publix for the delicious Boars Head sub sandwiches. I was very well treated by the girl behind the counter who fulfilled my order for my pregnant wife who had special specifications. Im very pleased about the service from her. She smiled the whole time and look me in the eye, she even asked me about my wife and how she was doing which is something she did not have to do at all. Its hard to find that common courtesy in this world nowadays. Thank you Publix employees it was a wonderful experience.

No one had on masks except the employees. The store itself is great but they really shouldnt force people to wear masks.

I had a very good experience at this Publix. A young female employee approached me and asked if I needed help...which I did. She was so efficient, pleasant, and knowledgeable! This woman certainly knows what customer service is! As I was leaving the store I learned she was the store manager. Excellent choice Publix!
