I have worked with this team on data transfer to a new laptop, getting new power sources (cords) to replace damaged ones, and removal of ransomware. Capital crushed it for me. Santa Fe is not a city known for service but these guys are great. I ended up here after calling another Apple ‘expert’ who refused to look at my machine and rudely told me to sell it for parts (probably should have taken notice that his office address was his house). Capital treated me respectfully, took a look at my issue and got me fixed up.

My laptop running Ubuntu wouldnt boot. I first took to Geek Squad who couldnt recover the hard drive and didnt know if it could be done. Found Capitol and they assured me they could recover. I had to go out of town that week but they kindly uploaded some data I needed to my google drive. Laptop was repaired and even cleaned when I returned. Ill be using them from now on.

The technician from Capitol Computer managed to solve a tricky internet/phone wiring problem involving three separate buildings and confusing cables left from the electrician who did work during a restoration. Three electricians, a Century Link technician - none of them came even close to solving the problem - over 3 years. Today I called C.C.N.S about the possibility of repairing a device that had damaged boot loader . It wasnt the run of the mill P.C. query that normally is received and being new to Santa Fe I was calling different techs to see if there where any resources for my situation in the area . During the call I was put on hold, and over heard the staff saying he didnt know what I was talking about / did not wanna mess with it ect. So instead of just ending the call explaining that, I was told that they where very busy and actually hung up on .These guys are rude, have a basic cookie cutter PC repair base at best and because I was inquiring about something that was more of an advanced issue, they seriously acted like children. Pathetic.

I recently engaged Capitol Computers to resolve certain issues with my new Mac Air after updating to the latest version of Mac OS Big Sur. The service was done remotely. Capitol was able to diagnose and resolve the problem when Apple Support could not. The charge for the service was eminently fair. Ditto for work by Capitol on an older MacBook several months ago. Highly recommended.

After weeks of trying to set up fast wifi in my new adobe Santa Fe home, I called Capitol. They were able to quickly assess what was needed. They know the quirks of Santa Fe buildings and came up with blazing fast coverage for our whole house and casita. Theyre professional beyond anything Ive found in town - clear, proactive communication for scheduling and estimates, billing, and follow up after. They were knowledgeable about hardware and local providers. You might find cheaper service, but I wish I had called them first. Would have saved me time and money!

I had to move from one older laptop to another new one. I brought both in, explained the needed service, they got right on it, and a day later all was done perfectly. Amazing! I had my whole life on that laptop and I got it all back on the new laptop, at the price they quoted. Does not get any better than that.

I contacted Capital Compouters and they were able to provide with a scheduled date/time promptly and professionally. The tech showed up on time, was patient, explained everything, answered my questions and provided good advise regarding how to deal with Comcast. He then contacted Comcast for me and got back to me with his findings. All and all a possive experience. I will continue to work with them as the need arises.

I called Capital Computer to fix the “dead” spots I had in my house, i.e. no connectivity. They arrived promptly and set about trying to fix it by reconfiguring my equipment. It seemed better and I thought I would see how it worked. After a week or so I realized it was not good enough and I needed a better fix. Their guarantee that no charge if it doesn’t work is really true! They came back, did some re-wiring and now it works perfectly. They checked in a week or so after to make sure all was working well. Great service, great price. I would definitely use them again.

After about a year of sluggish operation, my laptop finally quit. When phone-browsing for computer service, I saw that Capitol Computer had a recent excellent rating with the BBB in Santa Fe, so I called. They replaced my hard drive and had it back to me in only a few days. Very pleasant and professional service. About 2 weeks later (Christmas week) I discovered that my camera video on Zoom was only showing still shots, and I urgently needed it to work since I had scheduled a Christmas Zoom for my invalid 95-year-old mother-in-law. I called my tech at CC, Joe Baca, and he heard and understood my dilemma. I brought in and he fixed it the same day, which I considered nothing short of a miracle! And kudos to Joe who can figure things out, and to Peter who has a great voice and professional manner as the person who actually answers the phone (instead of an AI robot!!).

What I appreciated most was their honest assessment of my computer, even though the news was bad. They didnt try to talk me into an expensive repair job that probably would have failed. In fact, they explained clearly why it would fail. Data transfer from old computer to new one proved to be more complicated than first anticipated. And again I got a clear explanation of what was happening -- I was able to talk to a real human being every time I called. Last Thanksgiving, my 10 year-old computers disk drive crashed. Multiple attempts to repair using windows tools did not work. Attempts to re-boot would go thru a 3-hour cycle, and again, and again.While I had complete backups on my photos on a second computer and a mostly recent backup of My Documents, I did not have a copy of my email anywhere. I had mail going back over 20 years and had to face the thought of starting over. Much of the mail had a sentimental value that could not be replaced.I went about ordering a new computer and had pretty much given up. Then I thought about looking on the internet for any data recovery services anywhere near me (I live 2 hours outside of Santa Fe).I quickly found CC&NS and opened a ticket, indicating that I only wanted my Outlook files if they were salvageable. The following Monday I was contacted by support and arranged to bring my broken disk to their office later in the week.The following week I was contacted that they were able to recover my outlook files and put them on a USB drive. I inserted the USB into my new computer and had all my old e-mail.Although there was little monetary value in recovering my email, I am significantly happier that CC&NS was able to recover it for me.I found the support at CC&NS to be friendly, courteous and technically proficient. We recently brought a damaged hard drive to Capitol Computer to see if they could recover our data. This type of situation is never a guarantee, and often the data can be lost forever. The folks at Capitol Computer used several programs to attempt this recovery, finally succeeding in recovering over 45 GB of data from the hard drive, although only about 60% of the data was actually viable. Still, perseverance furthers! We were very pleased with the service and professionalism at Capitol Computer. This was a multi-week process and the CC techs were in close communication throughout. We will definitely return there with computer challenges in the future!

These guys are fantastic. They know what they are doing, unlike many computer shops. They spent lots of time working on my computer only to determine it was toast. I was not charge a thing for their time and effort. I bought a new one at Best Buy, but they were expensive to transfer my data onto the new one. What a great company to work with. My computer had a serious virus that prevented all my virus scans and install/reinstall from working, prevented Windows from updating and caused files to corrupt. Capitol delivered fast fantastic service. They came out to my home and tried to fix the issue on site, first, then took my computer back to their shop. They managed to save all my data and restore my system to full working order, and I did not even have to reload all the software - they did that. Fixing my computer did take awhile -- more than 1 week. Then I had to provide information about various applications and they returned the computer to me with Windows 10 (after I had specifically asked to return to Windows 7). The person I spoke with explained the benefits of going with Windows 10. The good -- people are responsive AND they were able to save all my files! The not so good -- it took a long time to get my computer back.

The techs at Capital Computer checked in frequently to comment and ask relevant questions about issues with my laptop in service. Now the laptop runs smoothly and what they did solved the problem. Price was reasonable for extra service.

Our problem was easily fixed (but we wouldnt have figured it out ourselves.) I have used Capitol Computer for many years and am always happy with the service they provide across a variety of computers and problems.. The day before Thanksgiving, I called with a problem with a printer that had stopped printing just one color. All the online HP suggestions had not worked. Frank suggested a simple way to clean a probable ink clog -- which worked perfectly. Until recently I had a Dell Optiplex 7020 computer with Windows 7. Although, the system was working very well it would have been five years old in January 2020 and therefore could no longer be covered by Dell assistance or a warranty. Also, I wanted to get Windows 10 to ensure I would have continued support from Microsoft. I accordingly decided to buy a new Dell business Computer, an Optiplex 7060, with Windows 10. I started planning for the installation about 6-9 months prior to when the new computer, printer etc. were actually acquired. I had frequent cost-free telephone consultations with Sarah at Capitol Computer and she helped guide me with planning for the purchases and installation. Eventually, she and I met for a two-hour free consultation to finalize all the details. Sarah is very pleasant work with and also very knowledgeable The actual 3-1/2 hour installation was performed professionally by William at a very reasonable cost and I was very satisfied with the installation. I think Capitol Computer does an excellent job and I have no hesitation in recommending them for anyone with computer problems or requirements.

My hard drive crashed and I was at a loss. Capitol Computer came to the rescue and managed to retrieve all of my files and replaced the old hard drive with a better one and replaced the Microsoft software that was lost. And they kept me informed all the way and returned by computer in a timely fashion. All the people were great.

I have used many computer support and service businesses over the years, and this is one of the best groups by far. They are very professional and responsive, with a personal touch. They recognize me when I come in or call. On my first visit, the owner spent time with me reviewing my need for increased confidentiality secondary to HIPAA (medical records) standards, and discussed thoroughly their confidentiality, privacy, and encryption processes. The staff have been very patient with my questions and concerns. They also send emails out about various topics, such as the pros and cons of upgrading to Windows 10. I cannot recommend Capitol Computer highly enough.

The folks at Computer Solutions are friendly and experts at what they do. They found my problem and gave me several options to think over. They walked through the options with me and once I decided, they did their work in a timely manner at a reasonable price. My laptop has worked perfectly ever since.

The staff was quick and efficient and solved my problem. The only unfortunate part of my experience was that I was misquoted how much it would cost to fix.
