Fantastic ice cream with truly unique flavors. I got the Harvey Milk & Honey Graham in a waffle cone (extra $1.25). The raw honey ice cream was really creamy and delicious, and the honey flavor came through but wasn’t overwhelmingly sweet. There were homemade graham cracker bits sprinkled throughout, which added a different type of sweetness. I would go back again to try their other flavors.

All I can say is yum! There’s a line every time I go, which I never mind waiting in :) Unique flavors every season. I got the Harvey Milk & Honey Graham and it did not disappoint. Can’t wait to try a new flavor the next time! It’s also in the Ferry Building, which is an incredible place to walk through and visit other vendors!

The ice cream is fantastic! The Tahitien Vanilla is amazing. We visited the small store in the Ferry Building. My only complaint was that one person was working and the line was very long. The other person who seemed to be working was standing in the corner talking to a friend. Getting her friends ice cream but ignoring all the customers. She did crane her head around a bit to look at the long line. But she ignored everyone and continued chatting with her friend. Thank you to the one person who was courteous and working very hard.

I was flitting around the Ferry Building in San Francisco—looking for a special treat from myself. I wandered into Humphry Slocombes stand. They had a small navy blue sign up above eye level with white lettering and a sketch of an ice cream cone. They also had a case of ice cream containers that you could grab and go.Fortunately for me, no one was at the counter. I walked and looked down at the large open containers of ice cream—ready to be scooped. I noticed that they had some unusual flavors: Bacon, Jesus Juice Sorbet, Rosemary, and Heres Your Damn Strawberry. I asked the man behind the counter if I could taste some of these unique sounding ice creams. He of course reminded me that because of Covid that sampling wasnt possible. So, I didnt want to risk having a hot fudge sundae made with rosemary ice cream, so, I decided to go conservative. I had a hot fudge sundae made with Salted Caramel Cocoa Nibs ice cream. it was sweet and salty with the crunch of  cocoa nib, and it was thick and sticky! There was a rich warm fudge sauce on top of thick whipped cream.I must of looked pretty funny walking along down lane in the Ferry Building toward G Pier. I would stop, pull down my mask, and then take a big bite of my sundae. I would roll my eyes back as I enjoyed the flavors. Good thing I wasnt in a hurry and there werent many people trying to get by me.If you want some great ice cream, and some unique choices—go to a Humphry Slocombes. Look on line—they  are in Oakland, and Berkley. I am looking forward to when I can taste some of their unique flavors when the Covid thingy is lifted!

Really good designer ice cream shop. I’ve had many of their other flavors before, such as the breakfast one. Tried the black sesame seed on special today. Was really good as always, though the rich sesame flavor, which I prefer on the strong side in an ice cream, was somewhat subdued.

We were told we needed to come here when in San Francisco and that was definitely right. We picked this location since we were already coming to the Ferry Building.Unfortunately, we got there right after they ran out of their Secret Breakfast flavor which I wanted to try. Everything I sampled was delicious. We ended up getting the 5 spice pumpkin sundae which came with homemade marshmallow fluff, homemade caramel sauce, and Graham cracker crumbs. It was amazing. It was soft and creamy. All of the toppings were outstanding. Ive never had sauces that good before. If you love ice cream (and who doesnt?), you definitely need to come here.

Humphry Slocombe, you do things to me. With certainty I can say this is the best ice cream I have ever had. I have this unhealthy addictive relationship with Humphrys. Their ice cream is pure bliss. They have monthly flavors that are always amazing, Ive never been disappointed. Theres a plethora of flavors to choose from, you just cant go wrong with any of the flavors. My absolute favorite is Secret Breakfast, bourbon and corn flakes. TO DIE FOR. Its about $4.50 a scoop, but hey...worth every penny. Its not something you eat everyday, so treat your self and go get a scoop..or two.

Wow. Just. Wow. This is certainly some of the best ice cream Ive ever had. And I never wouldve expected it going in. Im not much for weird flavors. I appreciate crazy in your face flavors and creativity, but I was still surprised. Even with a bit of a line, they were nice enough to let me sample a few flavors. I decided to go with two scoops - one of Spotted Dick and one of Black Vinegar Halva. The vinegar actually tasted like a very warm caramel! So nice!! And the sweet bread added the perfect texture to the smooth, creaminess! But the Spotted Dick was even more amazing! The ice base was like a sweet maple. And the currants added not only a sweet tangy-ness, but a nice little burst when I bit into them! Hubby didnt think he was in the mood to get ice cream, but he did try a bite of what I got...that changed his mind! He got in that long line in order to get three scoops of Spotted Dick! Im really glad he did, because he shared it with me!!This place is so fantastic and I hope I can make it back on my next visit to San Fran!

It used to be seasonal, but seems like it is here to stay. Wohoo! The shoyu is more like a salty version of caramel sauce inside the toasted coconut ice cream. Multi layers of flavors. Also tried their seasonal Yuzu cream, light and floral, and a hit of citrus.I tried their Honk Kong Milk Tea from a super market before, which the texture and flavor is very disappointed. Good texture and flavour. But please consider adding a sign on the outside with pre-printed flavour insert panels that describe what’s in each one. This is not the day of strawberry or chocolate when the name alone would be enough. It will also save staff from having to answer to every other customer what’s in this and what’s in that. Not popular with our group. Can hardly taste the licorice.4) Peanut Butter Curry - Very addicting. Like peanut satay sauce!5) Secret Breakfast (Bourbon & cornflakes) - Also very tasty. Contemptuous service and poor taste. I’ll never go back here. While I was waiting for my order, the dishwasher in the back gave another guest the stink eye for commenting that the music playing at the booth was very loud (It was painfully loud and hard to order or hear over it- “I wanna dance with somebody” by Whitney Houston) and turned it off completely in a huff, rather than adjust the volume. The guest was even more uncomfortable as a result for seemingly upsetting the dishwasher, and said, “you don’t have to turn it off, it was just too loud”. The dishwasher muttered something in the back I could not hear. Ice cream should be enjoyable, not tense and confrontational. Service fail. Also not impressed with product itself - threw out 3/4 of it because taste was off. Bad experience. Won’t ever return.

Im always amazed at how fast I can finish a scoop. Ive sampled other flavors such as horchata and Harvey milk and graham cracker with honey, and those are good as well. While the Mission diner setting offers the most flavors, there is also a stand in the Ferry building as well as at the Yard at Mission rock. I absolutely love fun flavors too and this place has FUN flavors but I was surprised at how mediocre it tasted. Sure, its ice cream, but I wouldnt go as far as label it Top 5 in America. So, if you want ice cream go for it, but keep those expectations low. I kind of wish I would have gone for the self-serve place across the way from them.
