Made an appointment. to get my car worked on. Came in, told them why I was there. They told me that since they were short of employees that day, they would have to cancel my appointment AFTER Im already there! They finally let me leave the car. They fixed it in a timely manner. The Service Advisor cashier were friendly and knowledgeable and our car is back just like new again.Would return for service there even though we didnt purchase the car there.
Let me begin by saying it has been some time since I purchased a vehicle. We did our research before looking at different dealership checking inventory looking at used and new. We choose World Car for the inventory looked at the cars that had in stock and decided to call for a test drive on some vehicles. Which was easy and convenient arrived for our test drive and meet up with our Sale person Adela who provided us everything you could want form a sales person. We told her want we wanted to see and test drive. After seeing and driving the cars we made our choice she answered all of questions and was very knowledgeable of the vehicles. She made buying a car seamless and provided no pressure and was with us to the end until we drove off the lot. I could not thank her enough for her helping us get a vehicle we were happy without the pressure you may get elsewhere. THANKS ADELA.
Even though I was running a little late for my appointment, they were very courteous and told me not to worry. When I arrived, all they needed was my name and my key fob. I was able to sit and chat with my sister, make lunch plans with friends and play a few games. Before I knew it, my car was ready! The service technician reviewed everything that was done before I signed off on the paperwork!! An hour and a half, tops…and I still had a lot of day left to accomplish other things!! Thank you for taking care of my car!!
This was the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. Manuel was great. We told him what we wanted and he delivered. He never tried to talk us into anything different. Everything went very smooth and was very efficient. We were there maybe two hours start to finish!!
Service Advisor was nice once I was there. And I appreciate the texting and online functionality, even if it is a little confusing. But I originally scheduled an appointment online and called a day ahead to confirm. I was told that there were no service advisors to work on my car and there wouldnt be for another 3-4 weeks. I understand the shortages many businesses are experiencing, but there was no indication that I was going to be called to advise of my appointment cancellation. If I hadnt called, I would have driven 30 miles to dealership for nothing. Second, the technicians or others are answering calls with zero phone skills. Third, I was out on the lot looking at a new car while I was waiting. I saw 3 salesmen standing around with their phones and no one acknowledged me and offered to help until I was getting back in my car to leave. Missed a sale! And lastly, I guess long gone are the days when your dealership would wash your car before giving it back to you. Service is just not the same anymore.

My car was at the service center for 19 days. When I dropped it off I was told my car would be evaluated and I would get a call in a couple of days to let me know what to expect. For the first 7 days I did not have any communication from anyone regarding the status of my car. I had to initiate the call myself and was told my car had not even been looked at yet. After approximately 1 1/2 weeks after I dropped off my car I received a call from a gentleman named Wade who apologized for not getting back to me sooner because they have been short staffed and he would keep me informed from that point on until I was able to p/u my car. I understand that businesses are short staffed right now and everyone is doing the best they can but I would have appreciated a call a little sooner to let me know what is going on. Not being informed is my only complaint here. Wade was professional and polite and kept me informed on the status of my vehicle. Thank you Wade.
I had a great experience here at World car Hyundai South. This was my first time bringing my vehicle here and I am beyond happy with the experience I had with the staff. They continued to update me on everything they noticed that needed to be brought to my attention and were done with the repairs in a timely manner. I would definitely bring back my vehicle here and would highly recommend to my friends and family.
Over all a great job. Bought a car used and didn’t know it still had an original warranty in affect. Had some A/C problems and Charlie at World Car Hyundai south verified my warranty and got my Elantra in and checked out. Had to order parts and got me scheduled for repair as soon as he could. They are short staffed so had to wait a bit but considering the current world situation I get it. Once they got the car in the did a good job and got my A/C fixed.
Absolutely a wonderful experience. I had arrived prior to the dealership opening the doors to the public, however within a few minutes I received a very warm welcome from: (Young Lady/main receptionist). Every single person that I came in contact was so very professional, from: the Receptionist, Manager, Accountant, Finance, other staff works and for sure Mr. Mata. I was able to get an outstanding deal no doubt a few thousand better than any other dealership/location in San Antonio. Took my car in for an recall and oil leak, (prices are crazy) after one week I had to call to check up on my car to see what was wrong and they couldn’t give me an answer. Called a few days after and finally got an answer, told me they did the recall and gave me a list of other things that ✌🏻Needed✌🏻 To be done. Went to go pick up my car a few days later just to find out they didn’t do the recall at all, and that they still had to order the part and they would call me when the part comes in. Also my car was full of insects 🐜People were friendly tho
The car salesman was great. But his manager was less than professional. He talked down to his sales rep the one that was helping me and he was less than professional to me. I talked with gm and he did listen to what I said about his manager. On behalf of what was told to me that my car had been serviced. Was suppose to get a detail on the car. It was not even washed. The washer fluid has none in it. So I dont guess the car was serviced. When I signed the paperwork, they didnt even have an envelope to put the paperwork in. Nothing major, but it is the little things that add up. If I was asked would I use this dealership again? Unfortunately would have to say no.
Went here yesterday to co-sign for my sister. As soon as I finished filling out a PAPER credit app, the salesman, Conrad, tells my sister the banks won’t finance the vehicle because it has over 150K miles. So within a minute I asked if they can not input my information to be run. The salesman said they won’t. He ended up showing us another vehicle that was under 100K miles and tells us that it was $15,800 which later turned out to be $16,800 and that HE, the salesman, made the mistake because he got the year 20(15) mixed up with the price. I asked if he can come down $300 to $16,500 and that we’ll have a deal. He said they’re a “One Price dealership.” And he kept saying “I already know what my Boss is going to say.” So instead of trying to earn someone’s business, they immediately lost it. I then get notified today that they indeed, pulled my credit. I would not recommend anyone to purchase a vehicle here.
I liked how the dealership kept me informed and went above and beyond when my vehicle was getting worked on. They took customer service very seriously and Im super grateful for everything. When we are looking into getting a new vehicle in a few years will definitely be using them.
Great experience, but be cautious. They do not list mileage because some vehicles are demo units being represented as new. Technically, yes…but I won’t debate the ethical side of that. That said, they were fantastic about doing the right thing once we had the facts in front of us.
Thoroughly enjoyed the experience working with Carlos here at World Car Hyundai South. With there being a shortage of chips, it was very difficult to find a 2022 Hyundai Palisade CALLIGRAPHY. Carlos was very communicative throughout the entire process and kept me informed of my cars delivery date. He made the purchasing process very easy with little waste of time. Everything went well except for a small issue that got resolved easily. I have a maintenance plan that I purchased along with my vehicle. I have a book of maintenance “coupons” that cover certain basic things at each service interval. I have used these coupons at this location for the last 3 maintenance intervals with no issue…until this last time. The service person was so quick to dismiss and reject my coupon without even checking by calling the number on it. But, after a little bit of convincing and mentioning that I had no issues before using my coupons at “this” same location, she kept it and decided to call the number. She easily found out that it is valid and that indeed they will cover what it says in the coupon. Anyhow, everything got resolved and I got everything that I needed. We are now waiting for some parts for a vehicle recall that I had but that is in the works.

Worst service ever. Never visit again. Horrible customer service. It was hard to communicate with service advisor and it took two hours to change oil. I made an appointment for service others including oil change, but they dont have any records. I need to reschedule it, but not available to schedule until early August. Cant believe how many mechanics they have in the service department. No wonder it took two hours to change oil. No way !!!
Albert took the time to help me out, to get the car I really wanted. And even though World Car Hyundai has alot of strange rules. In the end they mean the best and want anyone to enjoy their new car.

Extremely helpful and friendly! I have been to KIA dealerships in other states and have told people not to get a KIA because of their terrible service and treatment. This place was the exact opposite! I would recommend anyone who lives in the San Antonio area to get a KIA from here. I had my car serviced and they were genuinely nice and helpful.

Worst feeling and experience to try and get uncharged over $60 a month for 1 extra year of warranty. Know what you are paying for in your final monthly price.
We were given a 0915 appt and arrived at 0915..Sales person wasnt available until after 0945..Whole buying process was extremely slow We were at dealer until 3:00.... Finance person was quick to say that our long wait was not because of him..Finance person never offered an apology for time spent at dealer..Buying a vehicle at this dealership needs streamlining..An unhappy customer can be bad for future business..

I had a great experience buying my Hyundai Tucson almost 2 years ago. My sales rep was amazing. But as soon as something went wrong the service department was rude. I still have not gotten a callback about my extended warranty and help with my paint. They added on these services rounding around 1200 and I can’t even get assisted with. Luckily I am getting help from Hyundai Northwest. They have amazing services in their service dept.
Extremely disappointed... Did our research, knew what vehicle we wanted, drove all the way in from Austin to test drive and purchase... However before we could even look at the vehicle we were asked if we were gonna pay cash for the vehicle and then told it can only be a cashiers check from our bank... Never mind we had a buyer dealer check from our bank (UFCU - very well known in Austin)... Something we have used for the previous 3 vehicles we have purchased... We were treated as if it was a fake check... We were there well before the bank closed on Saturday... And the banks 800 number was on the check for any manager to call to verify the funds... But nope... This was the most horrible experience ever...
Very helpful. Let us look at as many cars as we wanted until we finally found the one. My only criticism is they wouldn’t let me use my credit card for the down payment.

My girlfriend bought a new car here today and they tried to add a $2,000 mandatory appearance package warranty. Do not fall for this, we said remove that or we will go elsewhere and they ended up taking it off about 2 minutes after that. Also they served us warm water. 🙄

The salesman Andre Charo, was experienced, an active-listener and above all superb at customer service. He answered every question we had and was always available when we needed something. The Finance team was also respectful and un-front with everything. I have nothing but respect for this dealership and will most certainly go back when I need another vehicle.
Took my wifes car in for 60k routine maintenance and Im sure the work was done just fine. However, when you pay the premium for using a dealer, you expect premium service. This was a fail. They had no courtesy vehicles, no shuttle, and no inclination to be creative in serving me as their client. I had to Uber to work and then get a coworker to give me a ride to pick up the car at the end. Whats more, they dont wash or vacuum your car. When I asked them about it the answer was we dont have a car wash. Um..you have my keys. How about you drive it to a nearby car wash and take care of it. They talked as if they are helpless in serving the client.In the end, I paid a premium for work that would just as well been handled at Pep Boys. I wont be back to World Car.

For starters I hate takeing my car into a dealership for repairs because I know they are always going to charge extra for the peace of mind of a certified repair specialist vs. risking a run of the mill technician and hope they arent going to do anything else and say something unnecessary needs to be also fixed. With that said, it seems ridiculous that they charge $135 to do a diagnostic inspection to verify a repair what I already know needs to be repaired, in this case I knew the steering column needed a new rubber flange do to the knocking of the steering wheel (known issue with Hyundai steering column) when its turning. The inspection fee is waived IF you do the repair, of course the repair wont be done unless the inspection is done. I heard the tech. Service advisor tell another customer this fact. My repair was initially estimated $430 dollars only to find out that I was charged an additional $25 dollars for a Repair Supply fee, and yes for a 2 hour repair labor was $200+ an hour which of course they charged full amount even though the tech only took 1 hour to fix. So again not super happy about my whole repair experience.
I bought a new car here, and I had a great experience. The salesman that worked with me, Carlos Mata, was very helpful in getting me the best price. He was understanding and accommodating of my budgetary needs, and he helped me select a car that I am very happy with. I had a much better experience here than other dealerships that I went to, and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a low-pressure, personal buying experience.

They had my car for THREE AND A HALF MONTHS. I finally got it back on Friday and then Saturday evening on my way home from work the check engine light came back on. Im about to lose my mind. Never again will I buy a Kia or Hyundai. Terrible.
I didnt give them a 5 because I called 4 times before I spoke to anyone to make an appt. For my oil change.I left my phone number but no one called me back. Once I got there everyone was very helpful and did my oil change in a timely manor.

Initially, I dropped my vehicle off the evening before my scheduled appointment. Apparently this I was a foreign task to World Car Hyundai South (WCHS) because they had no form to fill out or drop box for the key. I left my key and instructions with a sales person and called ahead of the 7 am appointment the next morning. Nobody knew where my key was. When I called I got the run around and was told they would call me back. After 5 pm I called them back and after being on hold somebody finally had found the keys but an entire day had been wasted. Lucky for me I had a second vehicle.They sent a text the following day with a status update but even with a college degree I could not access to tech’s notes. When I replied asking how to access them I got no response. When I tried to tap and call the number was not in service. Finally I called them the next day but I had to go to the website and look it up. Even their website doesn’t have a tap feature on the contact numbers (it’s like Hyundai doesn’t realize it’s the Internet/smartphone age).They told me it would be nearly $400 to replace a wiring harness in the passenger side tail light. I thought that was a bit exorbitant it he said it also included labor (I was able to replace the entire tail light assembly for $75 and 5 minutes of my time). They said the horn issues could not be checked until the recall was completed since the recall might fix the horn issue (steering column clock spring recall). However, didn’t have the part. I thought that was word given the recall but I let it slide since it was a 2011 model.Another week went by so I called again. They said everything in the horn and steering wheel was fixed but something else broke and they had to order a part. Finally so was able to pick it up after 2 weeks but by then I was out of town.My assessment is the service department lacks in communication and their prices are way too high. When I priced the tail light at Hyundai it was $150 so that means they were going to charge me that PLUS $200+ for labor on something that took me 5 minutes to install.My car was there for 2 weeks. There were two instances that They sent me a communication. The first was a text and the second an email. Both messages came with a contact number that did not work. In the text when you tapped it then number was incorrect.I am of the opinion that Hyundai only cares about selling cars and not the service experience.
Making the deal was easy and they didnt try to force us to get anything additional i.e. GAP, extended warranty,etc. Carlos Mata was our salesman and and he was nice and very helpful.

If someone makes an appointment for recalls I would expect that the dealer should have pre ordered the part for the recall so I would not have be inconvenienced to have to go back because the dealer did not have the part, know I have to take another morning to go back to dealer to do recall .

Scheduled a service and they called me but was unable to leave a voicemail and never tried to call again. I showed up and they said sorry your appt was canceled due to them being very short staffed. Had to go somewhere else… very disappointed.
I have never heard of an “easy” or “painless” car buying process but this was as easy and painless of an experience as I could get. I was interested in a new 2021 Hyundai Accent SEL, and, as a first time car buyer and a full time accountant, I did my research on where to buy, how much I was expecting to spend per month, and how the whole process usually goes. I originally went to a different dealership and had a horrendous experience with the salesperson. I live 2 hours from San Antonio and 3 hours from the dealership (my dad flew in to help with the process so I was in the area at the time) I had originally went to so I didn’t want to drive so far out of my way again without knowing I was going to get at least the most I was willing to spend per month.I had already talked to my salesperson, Carlos, earlier this week while I was doing my research so I already had high hopes about him. I called him up when I got back from the first dealership and explained my experience. I also told him I was not going to drive all the way to San Antonio without knowing I could get my expected rate. He worked with me and his sales manager on a Friday evening after the finance department had left and was able to get me the rate I had estimated. I drove down the next day (today) and he was VERY attentive. He was checking up on us periodically, explaining each and every number and why it was what it was. He even got my car detailed prior to me arriving and walked me through how to set up the Apple CarPlay and how all the features worked down to the emergency brake.The only hiccup I was having was with my insurance company. Since it was a Saturday I had to sit on hold for quite a bit to add the new car to my Policy (the online option was down). Carlos kept checking back to make sure I was getting what I needed and had the finance guy wait until I was done. In the end, I got a rate that was $15 lower per month so world car Hyundai is saving me about $1000 during the course of my loan. I am thrilled with my purchase and my monthly car payment.Overall it was a fantastic experience and I highly recommend world car Hyundai and Carlos for your car buying needs.

Service was excellent. Customer service scheduled appointment, advised when part was ordered and made sure I was comfortable in lounge area. Car repair was completed in an effecient manner and completed in a timely manner.

I made a computer generated appointment for an oil change. But when I arrived it could not be located on the computer. Luckily I had a print out in my purse. I met Mr. Hilton the new manager. Luckily I took my own coffee with me but later I could not get water anywhere. 🙁
Our salesman Albert was great. Listened to our needs and worked with us. And it was his day off! Thank you for taking care of us Albert. Shout out to Cassandra and Cesar for helping me out with online shopping too.
My Santa Fe needed a new engine. World Car South took care of the details including getting warranty coverage from Hyundai. They replaced the engine in a timely manner at o cost to me.
This place is not recommended there very very unprofessional and not structured first of they have a real big building and lack of employees and understaffed and the salesperson had just started doesnt anything abt the particular truck I was interested in and most of All no GM has returned my phone call to make a formal complaint on this whole establishment bad business not recommended peeps

Horrible customer service. I took my Kia Soul in to the Kia South dealership on March 5th for recall notice on the motor. I spoke with Alexis and she took all my information. She said it would be about 3 weeks due to backlog before they could look at my car. I called back about a month later and she wasn’t in. No one could help me because she hadn’t even entered the information in the computer yet. I called back and talked to Alexis. She informed me that Kia requested proof of ownership. I sent her copy of title and didn’t hear back from her. I texted her and she told me she received it and that was all they needed at this time. I still hadn’t heard back after another 6 weeks. She wasn’t in again and no one could help me because she still hadn’t put it in the computer. I spoke with her manager Lance Robert’s who knew nothing about it but promised to get back to me when Alexis was back on Tuesday. On Wednesday after he hadn’t called me, I called and couldn’t get a hold of him so I asked for his manager. He was busy but he would call me in about 10 minutes. Instead of him calling me, Lance called and apologized for not calling when he was supposed to, but they have started the process for the recall on the blown motor. A few days later they informed me that I was missing a couple parts and needed a new battery to complete the test for $700. Why they couldn’t just use a charger for the battery was never explained. I paid it and then was told on June 9 the Kia was not covered by the recall. This was the second time this motor had blown. I rebuilt it the first time and it lasted about 9 months and blew again. After I got the recall I was sure it would be covered. I don’t trust that the dealership did the proper work to get this covered since they couldn’t even enter it in the computer. They offered to get a used engine and install it for another $9400. After the service I received I sure wouldn’t let them do anymore more work. I had to give them 1 star, because I couldn’t give zero stars. Worse experience I ever received from a dealership.
My daughter is so loving her vehicle and we couldn’t had done it without the help of Mr. Adrian ...Thank you so much will be going back for are next vehicle!!!
