This store provided the perfect support experience. They listened to my issues without interrupting me or jumping into the conversation. They took all the time I needed. They explained every step of the diagnostic process and presented all the remedies. There was NO you should just buy a new computer. Having used Macs since 1987, I know what the Mac experience/support should be like. They performed perfectly.

Simply Mac is an authorized Apple repair place. The service was excellent. Online appointments readily available and the Foothill location has excellent parking. They diagnosed my 2017 iPhone audio problems and for $200 they replaced the entire display and audio components essentially giving me a new phone for $200. The repairs were done on time on the same day.

The people at the store were nice and helpful. But… this store basically wasted my time. I scheduled an appointment through Apple to get my battery replaced. I went in and went through the whole process and dropped my phone off. Then they called me an hour later to say they actually didn’t have the battery and wouldn’t be able to get one for at least a week. So, I made 2 trips out here and spend 30 minutes in the store for absolutely nothing. In the future, don’t book and appointment and take peoples phones if you don’t have the parts.

Zero stars. Horrible customer experience. Made a reservation to have my iPhone screen fixed but when I showed up, they were absolutely no help. I showed them a copy of my email reservation, but they did nothing to help resolve the situation. Drive downtown to the Apple store rather than dealing with these people. Clearly they lack and understanding of customer service. I will never go there again.

Went to the Orem Simply Mac to resolve a connectivity issue and a tech looked at my computer for 30 seconds and diagnosed a gateway problem and said it would take two hours and cost $80. No one can diagnose without doing any testing, so I came to this location. These guys took a look and found that out was my VPN. We turned it off, and it was good to go right away. Thanks, y’all!

Horrible - they say back up ur computer before bringing in. They not only failed to reinstall all the contents of my MacBook Air but literally ERASED all my backups off my external drive (purchasers by them and backups they did). Insulted my intelligence and Aaron made so many lame excuses it was ridiculous. Spoke w manager who had to be asked again to refund cost of procedure they messed up. Then unwilling to compensate me more than a couple hundred bucks. It will take me months of pm time and weekends to recover and name all the files recovered. Unbelievable. Went in for help- they destroyed highly important biz docs. And no desire to make things right

I have never felt more disrespected at a store. I went to get a new laptop battery and they told me to pick it up at 6pm. I arrive one minute before 6 and the doors are locked and two employees are inside chatting. I knock on the door and they look at me, then continue talking. They absolutely heard me and pretended I was not not there. I continue to knock loudly, looking them in the eyes, and one of the employees (I so wish I got their names) gave me a finger to wait so he could continue chatting. While Im in the cold, while Im waiting for over 10min for an appointment they made for me. I arrived EXACTLY on time, yet Im treated with disrespect by not one but two employees who clearly saw me outside. I was finally let in with an employee rudely expressing they close at 6 and what do I need.... only then did he realize he told me to come at 6. In addition to this, I was given no instructions on how to treat my laptop when I got it. It wouldnt turn on for over an hour and I was sure it was broken. Thankfully it turned on but I will never be coming to this store again.

Called theapple support and after runnig different diagnosis, they recommended me to take it to one of the official tech support. I took it to simply mac because was the closest to my house. It took them like 2 week to run a diagnosis and found out it was a memory issue, so they changed something and called me to pick it up. When I got there I didnt try it to make sure it was working. When I got home, the same issue, the reason why I took it there was still happening, my user wasing loading. Called them, took it back and they run diagnosis and told me was a software issue, and they had to charge me for that. That apple care only covers hardware problems. Had a great experience at Simply Mac. Bought a renewed iPhone X from apple. The apple employee said the “renewed” iPhones were tested before sold and sent out. Mine arrived with corrupted software so it would not load up the software from my iPhone 6 not allow and updated software to be loaded by myself, the Apple help line nor Verizon. Within 45 minutes Simply Mac had the corrupted software removed and replaced. Apple said ( when I called them to ask to be reimbursed the $30 Simply Mac charged) that they could not be held responsible for the corrupted software they sent with the renewed $647 iPhone X. They just lost a customer. The $30 charged by Simply Mac was fair and reasonable. I’m sure if the apple store had been open they would have charged me much more.

I brought my MacBook Pro here on Wednesday 10/21 because I had spilled Diet Coke on it. This location could get me in quicker than the Apple Store, so I decided to come here for a repair/replacement with my AppleCare. I was told it would be 5-7 business days until I had my computer back. Fair enough, especially with shipping. I called on Monday 10/26 for an update on my computer and I was told by Chris that it had been shipped out and a note talking about delays from Apple was on my account and that I should be updated again on Tuesday 10/27. I was understanding because I know COVID has slowed down a lot of operations from repairs to shipping, so that was fine. I did not get an update after I called on Monday. I called again today, Friday 10/30, to ask about an update since it had been about 7 business days and my computer might have been done already. While waiting for them to answer, I was reading recent Google reviews of people who had dropped off their devices to be shipped out and their devices were still sitting on the shelf weeks later. I remember thinking “I hope this isn’t the case for me”. They are almost impossible to get a hold of. I have been on hold with them for almost an hour total today. Somebody finally answered the phone and told me that my computer had not even been shipped out. This was unacceptable, as it had been sitting on the shelf almost two weeks and I have been without a computer this whole time. I understand that things happen, but I was lied to from the very start by the employees. It might be a longer wait to get an appointment with Apple, but it’s well worth it in terms of customer service, follow through, and repair times.

They claim to be taking appointments, it even says so on the paper taped to their door. However in practice, they are servicing customers on a first come first served basis, and letting customers manage the waiting line. I know because I asked the other customers waiting if they had and appointment, which they didnt, but they were all served first. Once I finally got helped (30 min after my appointment time) they tell me they dont have a replacement phone for me under my Apple Care service because Apple doesnt give them any and that I would have to be without a phone for 3 days. On my equally disappointing call with apple tech support they said I could get an express replacement or go into the Simply Mac store to get a replacement. I dont know if this is Apples fault for over promising or Simply Macs fault for not being prepared. Either way, it was a huge waste of my time. Would not recommend getting support here.

Robert was absolutely delightful to work with. He not only agreed to dig into the problem I had with an older MAC, but was very reasonable on what the realistic expectations would be. He certainly outdid himself as the MAC is in great working order and was very affordable to fix. I had previously contacted APPLE directly to solve the problem. As per usual APPLE was highly unhelpful and told me to buy a new computer (eye roll). I sincerely appreciate all of Roberts teams efforts and was pleasantly surprised about the phone calls and text message updates. Great service and would return again.NOTE: I made my inquiry online via their website. There was a lot of traffic while I was picking up and dropping off my computer and the staff did great on multi tasking and assisting as many people at once. It was clear most people were just dropping in with problems so to all those looking to have a repair and/or general question, go to their website and submit an inquiry. They are very responsive and you wont waste your time with going in only to find that they cant help you in the moment or refer you to APPLE directly. Efficiency at its best!

Welcome to the ironic world of the nicest employees and the worst customer service experience you might ever have. I took in my laptop to get diagnosed and then have a display replacement. Over the 2 weeks it took to fix I called Simply Mac, only to sit on hold for 30-40 minutes before the call would drop. This happened over and over. In-store experiences were hard too, as there was always a line of people 6 feet apart and only one employee helping everyone. When I got the call that my laptop was ready, I did not want to spend so much time waiting in line again so I went online to make an appointment. That turned out to be worthless, because when I got there I stood at the back of the long line again, unwilling to march my way to the front and demand that my appointment time be honored. Nobody acknowledged my appointment time. What is this system? I dont know if this is all just Covid weirdness or its always this bad. Great and knowledgable staff but everything else was a headache.

Pretty disappointing service model, they are Apple Certified, but they cut staff when COVID started, even after the Apple stores closed. This would have been a huge opportunity to ramp up and take market share from the new avenue, but nope, cut staff and turned their back on it.I dropped off my MBP for service, after 14 days, they hadnt touched it, unacceptable for any service industry. Imagine your car, dropped off for service and it sits in the lot for 14 days untouched... or going to a restaurant and not getting your food after you order it for hours, you leave and NEVER return. Major fail guys, MAJOR FAIL! Plus, they made me pay up front for service. So I go to their site to find out what is happening, I submit an email with my ticket number in the subject line, I get a response within 24 hours telling me to provide my ticket number and location and they will research it for me. My name and ticket number were both available in the email, absolute minimum service would have been to do an ounce of research to figure it out.On the 15th day I went in picked up my MBP, made an appointment with a competitor, took it there, service was done in 5 days... The equipment I wanted was stocked, as previously it was out of inventory, and yet another store - however 20 minutes travel time away had the product - I suggested that the inventory ratios may need to be considered by corporate Inventory control -if they had 10 Fort Union Store and this store had none, and the person before walked out asking for the same identical equipment, so 2 lost sales at this location - where the Fort Union Store had traffic funneled to them, which I imagine actually skewed the actual sales that could have been made at the Foothill store - had the inventory been adjusted to really reflect the customer flow rather than being redirected to the Fort Union Store -Two weeks later I went back - and they had the equipment needed. The service was prompt, courteous, and well versed on products. Good experience.

I originally went in to have Simply Mac replace the display module for touch issues on my iPhone X which is a program that Apple pays for. I made an appt online and still had to wait outside of the store as they were at capacity due to covid. I was told that the phone would need to be sent to Apple due to a swelling battery and the employee doubted that the display module was even the issue saying that since the phone was out of warranty then I would have to agree to pay $70 for a battery replacement which would most likely clear up the touch issue I was experiencing because his guess was that the swelling battery was pushing on the digitizer. They said 7-10 days on Friday May 8th, I called back 2 weeks later May 22nd, waited on hold forever and they said Apple was sending it back to them for a re-quote to me saying it would now be $550 to replace the phone and they would call me when it got back to them. On May 28th I was left a VM saying to come pick the phone up whenever. I went to pick it up on June 3rd and to every ones surprise (even theirs) the battery had in fact been replaced by the Apple repair center before being sent back but the original issue with the display module was never addressed and the phone was still not in working condition. They profusely apologized and said that Apple emailed them to address that issue but since Apple got no response from them it was sent back to Simply Mac. They agreed to replace the module and have it ready the next day but when I called the following day they said my total would be $300 because they waived the labor fee. WHAT!? This was a free program by Apple to fix this issue and they were Apple authorized for repair services. Aaron said he could talk to a manager about a better discount, I hung up and called Apple right away. Apple assured me that my iphone X should be covered and that my cost should be nothing for this repair as Simply Mac should be submitting the repair to Apple under this program that is offered for this particular model and reason. The employees here DO NOT play by Apples rules so dont expect them to, I informed Apple of this problem along with the other bad reviews left for this Foothill location. Apple needs to pull their agreement with this Simply Mac as they really make Apple look bad to their customers. Its really unfortunate what I went through during this ordeal, think twice before going here. The employees even contradicted one another on numerous occasions throughout this whole fiasco which unnecessarily took 4 weeks to resolve (face palm) such a joke.Update--we just realized a screw is protruding from the bottom of the phone, it is totally stripped and just jammed in there with pliers or something, it broke my phone case and thats when we realized. This is the professional work you can expect from the employees here. The phone for sure is NOT waterproof due to this. I can not express my dissatisfaction enough with their work ethic and customer service.

Apple suggested I come here for a repair (first available appointment) for my iPhone. They ran a test and determined my speakers were broken and thar my phone was covered under the warranty. The catch? They can’t repair things under the Apple warranty...or rather, they could send it to apple but are uncertain whether Apple would honor the warranty or if my specific problem was covered. So I asked, How can we not be sure if this is covered? How can warranties have a grey area??? He didn’t know. All that we knew for certain is that I wasted my time by coming here, rather than an official Apple Store, for a repair. Our interaction ended with him giving me their Simply Mac store business card so that, in the future, I could call ahead to see if the problem I needed a repair for is something they are able to do. No, I think I’ll just save myself the trouble and go to the Apple Store.

I can’t believe this store is an apple approved retailer. I will never use this store again. Terrible service, terrible communication, and they took no responsibility for completely botching my service issue. I took my iPhone to this apple approved retailer on the recommendation of apple customer support during the covid19 shutdown, and it was the worst experience I have ever had with any retailer. Do not trust your devices to this store. My iPhone’s touch screen and charging mechanism was unresponsive. SimplyMac ran diagnostics on my phone, which failed. Based on the diagnostics I was told my phone was eligible for replacement under the limited warranted because the phone was less than one year old. I received an invoice detailing the failed diagnostic test, the replacement information, and my total cost ($0.0) under warranty. Under the replacement conditions, SimplyMac would mail my device back to apple and the replacement would be mailed to SimplyMac for me to pick up. I left the store with my invoice in hand. According to the invoice, the replacement could take up to 2-3 weeks to arrive. When 7 days passed, I called the store asking for a tracking number so I would know when to come in to pick up the replacement phone. At that point I was told that my device was never sent back to Apple. I was told that a second diagnostic test was done after I left the store and it passed, therefore I could pick up the phone at any time. The employee told me, “Sorry it’s been so busy I haven’t had a chance to get in touch with you all week.” That is completely unacceptable.First, it is completely unprofessional to tell the customer one thing (that the phone is being sent in), and then do something else (stall on sending the phone in and run a second diagnostic without my knowledge). Second, I am still in shock that this store kept my phone for a full week when it was operational and functional without even attempting to contact me or update me about my service. I went an entire week with no means of phone communication which affected my work and my personal life a great deal. It is completely ridiculous that I had to be the one to call this store (using a friend’s phone of course) to get an update on the shipping information of my phone just to find out it’s been sitting at this store for a whole week. Would this store have kept my phone indefinitely had I not reached out to them? When I left my phone with them I provided a friend’s phone number and my email address as ways of reaching me when my replacement phone arrived, so there is absolutely no excuse for why this store did not contact me to tell me the phone had not been sent in and could be picked up at any time. When I returned to the store to pick up my phone, I asked why I could not get a replacement phone considering the phone had failed diagnostic testing and could very well have the same problem again when my phone is no longer under warranty. I was told that the failed test was meaningless now that it had passed another one and they would not try to contact apple for me or provide any other options for this device. I took it upon myself to contact apple customer support directly and they did indeed offer me a replacement phone. Granted, apple stores were closed due to covid19 so the only option was a mailed replacement. Apple had access to the records of the diagnostic tests from SimplyMac, and shipped my replacement phone during my first phone call with them.

Two days ago, I was allowed to make an appointment for today with this location for a FREE battery replacement for my iPhone 6s because it falls under a special replacement plan for phones manufactured defectively over a period of two months a couple of years ago. (Its not the recent $29 battery offer- its a different one.)Upon arrival for the appointment, I was informed that they were out of batteries and would not be getting them back in stock for at least two weeks due to overwhelming response to the $29 replacement offer.I was also lectured that I should not have been able to make such a short-notice appointment and that I should have realized that those batteries would be out of stock due to the response to the $29 offer. I was aware of that offer, yes. Why should I be expected to anticipate that Apple will roll out a replacement offer and not have the supply to back it up? Not my job.My main issue with all of this? Why not take a LOOK at your appointment SCHEDULE for the upcoming day and CALL ME if you already know you dont have the one product that I am coming to get? The reason for my appointment, along with my phone number, are both written right on the appointment reservation. I watched the tech look it up while I was sitting in front of him. Why not be proactive? Why make me waste time off work and a trip? Had you guys called me, you wouldnt have had to have my cranky, disappointed face sitting there grumbling in front of you at the desk! I would have still been annoyed, but that extra drive sure didnt help. Both Simply Mac AND Apple lost a loyal customer today. Fix your system.

They advertise same day screen repair, what a joke . I come in they tell me they can’t do it today and I need to make an appointment. So I make the appointment and come back only to find out that I had no appointment, so what was the tech doing that I had to stand in the store for a half an hour to set up, and tell me I need to have a bunch of info available to do the replacement, something they never disclosed when I set up the initial “appointment” where they said I could just drop it off during my lunch break and pick it up after work. So this “same day” repair has lasted 4 days and I still have a cracked phone. I won’t be shopping there again.

Staff assisted me with an in-store AppleCare screen replacement, which was FAR more convenient than mailing my device to Apple. Turnaround time was prompt and staff communicated well throughout.

I made an appointment to repair my screen and as soon as I walked in and told one of the employees that I have an appointment, all he said was yeah?. He had an attitude that I did not appreciate. I wasnt even there 5 minutes and my experience was completely terrible. The employees need to work on thier customer service skills.

I scheduled a battery replacement for my wifes iPhone 6, which has been well documented as costing $29 through the end of 2018, but Simply Mac charged an additional $20 for the pleasure of getting that service done there instead of an Apple Store. And on top of that, it took several hours and they never called to let us know when it was ready.

My wife had a broken MacBook Pro that she purchased from simply Mac. The MacBook had an issue with the keyboard which they fixed while under warranty. Unfortunately while fixing the Mac they broke the logic board and the computer no longer functioned. To fix that they wiped the hard drive which wasn’t necessary but saved them some time. My wife lost all her software and will have to re purchase some and reinstall it all (which really means I will be doing that). Simply Macs response to my wife “sorry we can’t help you, not our fault”. I am less appalled at the incompetence than the apathy.

The guy in this store was polite enough, but couldnt help me due to their agreement with Apple. I have a ~2012 iMac that is still a fast, robust machine, but lately blinking out. He said he couldnt even look at it because in order to be a certified Apple repair facility they have to agree to not use 3rd party parts and not work on computers/devices beyond a certain age. Apple is already in trouble for their shenanigans with planned obsolescence (think iPhones battery drain progressively worsening with new updates), but this is now Forced Obsolescence. I wont be buying apple products in the future.

Only wanted to get my data off my Macbook and they said it would be ready in two days. Said theyd update me on the process...didnt hear anything until I called, which at that point I was told my computer was STILL backing up. Yeah right! I know it only takes a few hours. Sounded like they forgot about it. THREE WEEKS LATER (after much calling on my end) it was finally ready. Dont seem like they know what theyre doing and give Apple a bad rap. I love the Apple Store and wish THEY were the ones who could do this stuff. Didnt help that it was an hour and a half drive to the nearest store. Very unimpressed with my experience and the price.

Generally speaking, the service is ok but be prepared to waste half your day if you need anything. As of late, it seems that the owners have reduced their workforce and on my visit there on the morning or 03/09/16 there was only one salesman there who was consumed with repairing a clients computer. I was there to buy a computer. After waiting there for over 20 minutes and not being greeted or even being acknowledged, the sales guy told me and another waiting customer that it was going to be a while... Like we had not already wasted time waiting there. When I asked him if he was the only one there working, he said he was and that it is what it is. Too bad that the management of this place entrusts the care of customers and potential buyers to these moronic young nerds with zero social skills. Now, 2500++ bucks of my cash will be taken elsewhere

After the Apple Store told me my phone was vintage and they couldnt repair it. They suggested Simply Mac. I arrived with 20 minutes left before they closed to find the only employee in the store behind the counter doing paperwork and wouldnt open the doors. If they cant take their hours of operations seriously, they surely cant take your computer seriously.

I sat and waited for a half an hour to buy one simple power cord. There was four people waiting and only one person working. Ridiculous. Will never come back

This visit was for just for a pre-paid pickup, since there were two others there ahead of me I did wait more than 20 minutes for someone to help me. When one of the two representatives was finished helping a customer he went directly to the person who had JUST walked in. Thankfully that customer advised the representative that there were others waiting ahead of him.

My kids spilled a drink on the keyboard of my MacBook, so we took it to this location, to see what the damage was, they say its bad and that it needs more money to fix than its worth......so they say!!!BUT THEY ARE NOW HOLDING IT HOSTAGE!!! apparently it costs $70 to review the computer, NOT SOMETHING THAT WAS MENTIONED BEFORE.!! I WOULDNT HAVE TAKEN IT HERE, SO BUYER BEWARE!!!!! this is very unfair!i understand charging for your services, but you need to be upfront that there is a charge, dont just take my property and hold it hostage.give me back my computer and ill take this review done, so if yo still see this review they did not do this!!

I have never given a negative review to any company, even though some have deserved it!My MacBook Pro, out of warranty, stopped working so I removed the screws from the back to rescue my SSD drive. There were three screws that I could not remove so I oozed along and asked them if they would kindly remove said three screws so I could salvage my drive. That will be $ 160/00 But I dont want to buy anything today, just remove the screws. That will be $ 160/00.May I please borrow your screw drive for 30 seconds?Answer: No, we cant do that,Can you please, please tell me where I can buy a screwdriver then?We dont know. Do you want to leave your computer to remove the screws for $ 160.00 or not?I e-mailed China and got a screw driver for $ 1.99 in three days!!No wonder India and China are eating your lunch. You dont need to do an MBA to learn that this is no way to do business and business is not all about just selling and charging. For goodness sake learn how to communicate and help your customers, especially when many of us have bought tens of thousands of dollars worth of Apple products. I am sending this note to Tim Cook, to see if he might want to change the culture at these so-called Apple stores. Not impressed. Abysmal attitude of people at this store. Go to India and China and see how it is done.......
