Pretty good! A bit small and cramped when more than 5 customers are inside the store at one time, but staff are super friendly and helpful when you arent sure what you want to get. The game selection for Nintendo Switch and Playstation is huge, and they have lots of new and used games to choose from. I reccomend this store if youre looking for something new or a game you cant find at other game stores.

Sage is awesome. I don’t know much about gaming and she helped me with my trade-in and helped me find reviews on the accessories I was looking for. Top notch customer service and this was all right before closing time. Thank you, Sage!

Do not shop here. I personally witnessed one of the associates ask another customer 5 times in a row if they were sure if they didnt want a protection plan until he finally gave up and paid for it because it was so ridiculous. Theres a lot of other places to buy video games that arent predatory to their customers. Probably other gamestops too.

Went into sugar house store to get my grandson new xbox controller. After waiting OVER 30 minutes while (she?) The clerk, was chatting about new games with some guy who didnt actually buy anything, she decided to help another guy who walked in the store 2 minutes prior. Finally, she(?) Acknowledged us and when I asked if my grandson could hold a used controller to see if it fit his hands comfortably she said No ! Thats against company policy. I asked if she(?) Would buy a car without being able to drive it, touch it. Or even see or hear it run first ? The response was that the only thing she(?) cared about was her(?) job, andsaid I might drop it.This has to be the worst customer service in the worst gamestops ever ! In the future i will drive the extra distance to go ANYWHERE ELSE.

Knowledgeable staff, good selection of current pre-owned console games (anything older than Xbox 360/PS3/Wii is available online but not in store).

Positives first: Staff are friendly, driven and helpful. Fair selection, good service, decent prices.Negative: Im not sure how frequent this is a problem. After all, I did just catch them the day after a big sale. But twice while I was there the manager had to tell customers that they had no hardware in stock. I would suggest calling in before coming in if youre looking something specific; the first time I stopped in their website said they had a game, and the box was on the shelves, but it turned out they didnt have it in stock.Still, the positives outweigh the negatives. Its also the most convenient video game store in Salt Lake City, and they have access to the entire GameStop system if you want to make pre-orders or pick a game up there; as usual they also accept trade-ins and offer cash or credit.

It looks smaller than I remember but its cool tough to find xbox series x controllers new in the store and systems are impossible at the moment but they have other cool stuff.

Really not happy with this game stop. Placed a pre-order, was never told I would get a call when it would come in. Went into the store on release date and was told they dont know when it will be in and theyll let me know which would have been nice the first time I came in to order it.

Spoke with Scarlet and then her manager Colby about trying to get a Left Switch controller... incredibly unhelpful. The website wouldn’t let me place an order even though the item was in the store... I offered to purchase over the phone they said no... the longest they can put it on hold for is 30min... I get off work in 2 hours... this is ridiculous. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Never shopping here again... I advise serious gamers to do the same.

I love Game Stop but the guy put year protection plans on without asking first and since Im shy and have anxiety I couldnt really ask him to remove it. Im glad they arent pushing preorders as much anymore, but I feel like in a place where a lot of socially awkward people may go should not have the business practices that I encountered there. Plus the guy seemed in a rush even though it was only me and one other couple there.

I forgot to ask for a name because the man was so rude I didn’t want to talk to him again, but he wouldn’t let me return a game that I had had for less than 7 days which I’ve done before and it says that that’s what you can do on the receipt. I have done this before and then used the credit for another game, which is what I wanted to do today but he was very rude about it. I didn’t understand why I couldn’t do this since the receipt says you can and I’ve done it before. Whomever was working was very rushing and kept counting down minutes out loud until closing time even though we told him we were aware. All around rude, and I was thinking about buying a game anyways but his attitude made me want to wait and go to a whole different store.

Staff reminded customers to maintain 6 feet apart and even enforced an 11 customer at a time capacity in the store. Staff was friendly and helpful and the store has what I was looking for

Then he proceeds to tell everyone waiting outside that if ONE person leaves another may enter. Well a group of 4 walked out and me, my friend, and my fiance went to walk in because 4 walked out so we assumed that 4 more could walk in there were only 3 of us when we walked in you would have thought we brought in a atom bomb. He flipped on us you need to get out NOW so my fiance says well 4 walked out and there are just us three and he proceeded to say are you questioning me about my capacity?. At this point we just left.P.s I understand that covid is an issue right now but that doesnt mean you have to be a POS of a person.ITS CALLED RESPECT!

This location (sugar house), has really bad customer service. The salesperson is a grumpy and not educated his name is WILL.

Every time I walk into the store, it reminds me of my childhood. I have bought all my video games here at this store. I remember counting down the number of lawns I would mow, in order to buy my next game. These guys have always been friendly, no matter who’s working. Recommend the store 5/5.

Store clerk was quite unreasonable and had a bad attitude. Its one thing to explain what you can or cant do in accordance to the state law, but its another to talk to customers in a rude way. Youre not a police officer enforcing the law. Dont talk down on your customer with that kind of tone of voice. This was done by a tall white guy with a beard. I would have given this store 1 star if it wasnt for the store leader who intervened. The store leader was much more reasonable and respectful in the way he communicated. The other guy has so much to learn.

Great staff always make the difference. We were treated especially well here. Brought my 80% deaf brother-in-law here and they noticed after talking to him a little bit. They took extra time with him, even though there were a few people waiting. But the other customers noticed and were not in a rush at all, they were all smiling instead! It was a fun experience and my bro-in-law cannot stop talking about this store or the Game Stop membership, year subscription to a game magazines, and the games we picked up that day. This was about 6 months ago. Every time I go here, I am treated very well. :-)

All of the employees here are very friendly and are genuinely interested in helping you out. They are always up for good conversation, provided the store isnt too busy. They dont try to pressure you into signing up or upsell you as some people claim. Ive never had a problem with trade-ins or anything of the like. I go here all of the time and it is the best location I have been to in Salt Lake.

Went in to pick up a game I ordered online for $30 but when I arrived they wouldnt honor the online price and tried to make me pay $60 for the game. Avoid this company all together. I also called 3 different times before driving over there but they never answered even though when I got there no one else was in the store.

I rarely give five-star reviews but these guys have nailed-it every time I have visited.Ive lived in a lot of places in the country and Ive visited a lot of GameStops (out of a lack of other stores). My experiences in the past, with those stores, wasnt pleasant. Everyone acted like drones.These guys have got their act together in a big way. They want your business and will prove it.

The go to for most people that game. You can find some good games for cheap but they will totally try to give you barely anything for your games your trading in. Dont bother. Other than that Im down with them.

When I see items for sale on shelves, and the store associate confirms theyre in stock, I expect to be able to give you monie in exchange for them. Multiple copies on the shelf. NONE in stock, unless you include the MULTIPLE copies that were on hold.This is the 2nd Gamestop I visited on a single day with this exact situation! Upper management really needs to have associates remove items from shelves if they are on hold or sold out

I rate at 4 because I went in the other day and told them I was expecting to spend about $600 dollars and I had questions and they were concentrating on the other customers that were in the store. I was secondary. Im not saying ignore them but as a potential customer I dont expect to be pushed aside for another. Needless to say I didnt spend the money there and got a good deal through Amazon.
