Stopped in at AT&T store on Woodward in Royal Oak to upgrade my son’s phone. Absolutely a fantastic experience. We were quickly greeted by store personnel and then had the pleasure of working with Farrah. She was outstanding! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful and the best customer service!! We changed our cell service provider to AT&T today and updated our phones and were very happy with the customer service we received. Sarah and Sherry were very patient and helpful with our needs. We would highly recommend them.
Pretty rude. Sorry that visiting the store to pickup the device I ordered online was such an inconvenience to the staff here, but dont worry- I wont make that mistake again.
Went into store to get a new phone. Chose one and it’s not in stock. They will ship it to the house. Got instructions on how to transfer data from old phone to new phone and was told they don’t do it in the stores anymore. Tried to cancel service to two of our devices. Can’t do that at the store either. Had to call AT&T only to be told their system was down try again later. Going forward I know not to bother going into the store that I can do what I need from home. Why to they even have stores?I will say the tech that waited on us was very nice and professional but was very limited in how she could help us.
Farrah was an amazing representative. Her customer service was outstanding - very personable and patient. She thoroughly explained all of the options available to us which assisted us in selecting the best phone plans and phones for our family. Very knowledgeable and made sure we had everything set-up properly before we left the store. Thank you!
Back in April got a new phone through at&t by doing the smart phone promotion. My husband’s promo shows up in the bill but not mine. I’ve gone to previous stores and they said I had to wait until the forth cycle and if it still isn’t showing up come on in and we will help.I assumed this store would be hospitable as well. They weren’t. Hassan and his coworkers all said I had to call customer support. We all know how long customer support takes. So I asked if they could help me reach them because it can take forever from. A customer stand point. Mind you here’s the setting: it’s pouring rain outside, they have ONE other customer talking to someone in customer support on their phone, no one is busy and there is just me and the other customer. Additionally, their manager is no where in sight.Eventually the guy admits that he just doesn’t want to wast my time and his time by helping me call customer support and get this sorted out. How would taking the time to help me get this sorted out be wasting my time?Next time just take the time to help. Honestly with all the chaos in the world helping each other do these small things makes a world of a difference in someone’s day. Hopefully playing on your phone and not doing anything on the job was worth it.

The Manager of this Store (Brandon) is wonderful! Very helpful and accommodating. I have personally been to several other A.T.&T. Stores. This is my personal favorite.Edit (6/5/21)Unfortunately, (Brandon) the Manager of this A.T.&T. Store is no longer at this location. I am disappointed in the Customer Service with the new staff. I possibly may be looking for a new A.T.&T. Location or another carrier.

My mother has been an avid at&t customer for years and I mean years. She had a situation where she came to the royal oak location on Woodward to upgrade to her 12 pro max. For the past month she has been getting calls from at&t about the phone not being returned. She came back to this location to get the matter resolved. She asked the store manager (Hamied) for assistance in showing she returned the phone in the store.The store Manager was asked to review the cameras to show that the phone was in fact left here at the store. The store manager felt the need to speak to my mother as if she was ignorant and said “even if I check the cameras it wouldn’t prove that it’s the exact phone that you are being charged for. He offered no help in resolving this matter and walked back to his office to hide. The only thing Great about this location are the employees themselves Brenden (An Employee) did his best to work and resolve this matter and if it wasn’t for him my mother would have had to pay for a phone that was given to the store at the time of the upgrade.

Great customer service! Went there today with my 2 and a half year old and the entire staff was very accommodating. They even put Puppy Dog Pals on the TV for him. Also refinanced my account and saved me around $50 a month. My family and I have been going to this location for years and will continue to!

Such friendly service and helpful team. Ferrah helped make my transition from a iPhone 7plus to an iPhone 11 effortless! She made sure everything transferred and that I was set up with a case and screen protector. She even went the extra mile to put my screen protector on PERFECTLY. While waiting for my phone to transfer and update, Ferrah and Brenden provided lovely and humor conversation to pass the time. The best part of it all was that I purchased a charging pad with my other accessories. That was Brendens idea! Great pick, Brenden!
Placed an order for an iPhone online directly from AT&T, selected the pick up from my local store option as I had some issues with my recent iPhone purchase and had them deliver it to me.Went to pick up the iPhone and phone case this afternoon.Took about 20 minutes for the representative to go through about 25 screens to process my pick up, along with two requests for my ID.Then asked for money to complete the transaction. I asked why I’m being charged again as AT&T already charged my card from the online order. He stated he did not know and proceeded to ask a co-worker.So now I have three representatives looking at this and then telling me that this is their process and AT&T will release the pending charge once they see I paid (again). So they are going to hold my money until Tuesday as Monday is MLK Day.They had no empathy, no solution and not even an offer to have an manager reach out to me.They proceeded to tell me that the manager would tell me the same thing that they were.Totally understand but they still should tell them and have them reach out to me.I requested a manager reach out to me when they were back in the store.I explained that this is not the customer experience that anyone should expect, especially from a long time customer (been with them since they were Cingular)It was their job to give feedback to their manager on behalf of the customer.They gave me the impression that I was totally at fault and I should expect AT&T to hold my money for two additional days.Mind you, when I ordered my iPhone one time charge, no issues with getting my iPhone to me (except with the shipping company).I expect a basic level of customer service, especially when spending a lot of money and these three representatives today were not meeting expectations.
I was in town for a few days and had some issues with my phone. Always nervous when I’m not familiar with a store but these guys were great. Made me feel comfortable immediately and were able to fix my issues. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a a high level of service.
Joe, the new manager, was very helpful. He spent a lot of time with me, answered all my questions and was very patient!! Never made me feel like he was in a rush. He went above and beyond and I will definitely go back for any future needs.
After an incredibly frustrating experience at an authorized retailer store in Ferndale, Hamid and his team were amazing to work with. They helped my partner and I straighten out our phone bills and were able to get us the fiber WiFi in our home. Hamid went the extra mile for both of us and I will be returning to this store for future purchases.
They were super helpful! I had no idea how to set everything up and they walked me through it all. My wifi was set up within the same day. Plus I didn’t have any random fees pop up or anything. I would definitely recommend their service.

They listened carefully, helped me file a claim for my broken phone and sent me to a store in the same mall to have it fixed. While I was gone, they analyzed my bill to increase my service AND drop my price. They were so invested in helping me, I am beyond grateful!
Quick and painless phone activation.I went in to activate my new phone that came in the mail and to trade in my old phone. Got everything done pretty simply. Store manager Brandon was friendly and it was clear he knows what he’s doing.

I was long past due for a new cell phone when I visited the ATT store on Woodward in Royal Oak. Farrah was the best. She did not talk down to me or assume that I didn’t know anything because I’m a senior. She did, however, take the time needed to explain comparative capabilities and costs. She was clear and easy to understand.The phone that I selected was out of stock so she ordered it for me. When it arrived the next day she helped me transfer contacts, calendars, messages and apps. Nothing was lost in the transfer. It has never been this easy switching out cell phones. I can only hope to find someone as helpful as Farrah the next time a new cell phone is needed.

Went in to this store to get a phone upgrade. I was greeted with a woman who told me there is a wait for all the representatives were busy. I didn’t mind for I didn’t have an appointment. The store wasn’t busy and it appeared like I was next in line. I waited for about 5 minutes till the next representative was done with one customer. The representative said he’d help us in one minute and proceeded to go to the back of the store. Another 5 minutes later, we asked the lady who helped us earlier when the next representative could help us. She said he’ll be in shortly. Next thing I know, the representative who said he’d help us, is walking past us and telling his fellow coworkers he’s going on break for lunch. He didn’t bother to say sorry to us. Very unprofessional. If your going to tell a customer your going to help them in a minute, then say you are. I will never go back to this store and I would not recommend this store to anyone else. You’re better off at the AT&T store up the road on woodward and 14 mile.

After receiving horrible service and a different AT&T store, Brandon was able to fix my account and get me a refund. If you have problems with your bill, Brandon is your guy.
Just went in to purchase an iPhone case. Greeter was not friendly, hardly said hi and acted like it was an inconvenience to do her job. Once I picked out a case, no employee was available to ring me up which is a very simole task. I asked the greeter if she could do it (since they all carry tablets) and she rudely said “you need to wait for someone.” I just put it back and walked out. Completely useless staff.

Typical AT&T store. Your greeted right away, but have to wait for 15min, even know theres a greeter and a person stocking the shelves... Poor design. The staff is helpful when you get to talk to them. They dont seem to try and upsell you, which is nice; and really try to match your needs with their product. Overall a good experience.
In store service sucks. Rep was more interested in what his coworkers were doing rather than assisting. May be the very reason why I leave AT&T.

Absolutely horrible experience. I was charged twice, when I brought my receipt in, the store manager was extremely unhelpful and said there was nothing they could do for me - when the store double charged me and still don’t have the issue resolved. Will NEVER be using this store front again.
They tried selling us 2 year out of date phones for full price up front when doing an upgrade a year late. When asked they, they didnt even know how their credit check worked.

ATT does not carry authentic parts to Samsung phones, AT&T will sell it to you. But you cant buy anything like a recharging cord the fast charging cord they only have the AT&T cord. Then the sales associate told me to go next door? I said but I brought my phone from here¿¿¿ She said yeah but we dont carry Samsung parts, We.. just sale the phone. #Samsung when will you Open a store here in The United States.

Different experience when you close your account. I was sent to three different locations and put on hold for over 40 mins.
If you deal with AT&T, find another location. Will NEVER walk into this one again. Walked in with my son who had dropped his phone and cracked the screen. My company has multiple lines, nine of them. Before walking in, I called to find out if any where up for an upgrade. I was told that FIVE of the nine are up for a free upgrade to a new phone. I come to the store, the manager is NOT there on Sunday, ok. The guy working there tells me that in order to upgrade up sons phone to a new one. I have to pay the remaining 6 payments on the plan. Another employ confirms this. Since I was leaving town and didnt have time to deal with it, I payed and got my son a new phone. Two days later, I walked into the AT&T store in Birmingham, Michigan. The staff tell me that I did NOT have to make any payments, that since its a multi plan with NINE lines, the phone could have been upgraded with ZERO out of pocket to me. Have spent THREE days trying to get in touch with the manager of the Royal Oak store whos name is Hiba. Have been told that she isnt there, she is on the phone, she is not available, etc, etc....Have left my phone number multiple times with the staff....NEVER received a call... Stay away from this location, DO NOT go there, they staff is unprofessional, the manager is irresponsible. They will lie to you, they will deceive you. Will never go there again, although have used them in the past, and will warn everyone who I know to NEVER go there.

I knew exactly what I wanted going in, so it was a lot easier than some visits, but John immediately recognized that I knew what I wanted, wasnt pushy, and I was in and out with a new phone in about 15 minutes!

I went in here to get help with moving my account, but going into this store, in person, isnt taken seriously. This was after the 800 corporate number told me I need to go into an actual store, which I did in birmingham only to learn that it needs to be a corporate store.Btw, the AT&T store in birmingham who was actually very attentive and tried extra hard to help me for over 30min. They finally said it had to be done at a corporate store and sent me here, just 2 miles south. These guys told me they cant help me within less than 5 min. The young man I saw quickly dismissed me and my case without even picking up the phone and talking to corporate about my issue and he told me to call an 800 corporate number. But I was here, in person, at a corporate store. Whats better, in person or talking to someone on the phone?Hmm and this was after I told him that this was the third store (the first one from a previous day and one earlier today, 3-22-18, were not corporate stores). And after telling him that I had previously called the corporate 800 #s on 3 different occasions and all told me to go into a store.Later, when I called the 800 corporate number (after leaving the store), they of course told me only a corporate store can help. Hmm. 3 stores (1 corporate) and now 4 times talking to 800 number people without any result.Its been like this for 3-4 days of back and forth, but this was the first corporate store and I had high hopes (but sadly to no avail).After this whole mess, my impression is att doesnt seem to care about me as a customer after 15 years with them. Their local stores care much more about customers than either corporate people or corporate stores.The non corporate store people just north of here, on Woodward (between 14 and Maple rd) in Birmingham Michigan, were much more caring, helpful, and understanding. Ask for Sara there.Too bad they are not a corporate store. They need to come and run this store here which wont lift a finger to even dial anyone when an issue is slightly complicated.

I am10 year ATT customer with 5 lines on my account. Ihad ordered a phone online from AT&T and I asked that the phone be sent to this store. I then called the store about an hour after ordering the phone. I asked that they checked to make sure my phone was there because I was about to have someone drive out there and pick up the phone. The person who was doing this for me was on a very tight schedule and it was out of his way to pick up the phone. I told him I would check to see if everything was a go so that he would not waste his time.I calle the store and they told me there was no way to check to see if my phone was there or had been ordered. I thought this was crazy that they were not able to tell. I explained to the sales lady for situation.Her reply was sorry. But I cant do anything over the phone. You will just have to send the person out there and see if the phone was there. And they needed to be an authorized person on the account as well. She then told me how to add them onto the authorized list. I did this and saw their name appear on the list. She also said we will call you if we have any problems. I agreed to this and sent my nephew out there to pick up the phone. When he arrived the store said they did not have an order for the phone and nothing could be found in their computer . I asked them how they knew and they said they looked it up and they never called to inform me there was no phone there. One of the Salespeople named Brett was very rude when I spoke with him over the phone. I tried to explain how I called in advance to check but no info could be given to me over the phone. Brett quickly and automatically started the generic apologize sorry but theres nothing we can do because we dont see an order for the phone. Why asked? because they looked it up and couldnt find anything. Now I was pissed because I told Brett, that I was told that they cannot give out that info on the phone. Brett said that they could have told me the phone. But now there is no order. I got angry that Brett seemed so non caring. He proceeded to talk over me on the phone. He heard me talking and then decided to jut keep talking while I was talking and eventually he hung up on me. ( I didnt call him any names or out of his name).I am angry because Brett hung up on me and didnt let me talk.It was rude and uncalled for especially after trying to over talk. My sister happened to be there and overheard his entire conversation with me. He continue even after I stated that I am the customer and should be allowed to talk. He kept talking over me, then hung up the phone. The rudest customer service Ive heard in a long time.
Worst attitude I have ever seen. I rushed there at 4:59 pm and they refused to open the door and came talked to me told me it was 5 pm and closed. I spent a lot of time to transfer my prepaid account to post-paid account and got into a lot of troubles. The ATT service center in 14 miles road and Crocks Road helps me a lot but it was only a store not a customer center. Really hate this one and if you are gonna by a cell phone or sign a contract with ATT, just go to 14 mile road, they are really kind-hearted.
Wait time can get long but other than that, always helpful and friendly.
