While shopping for new phones and service updates, we stopped by this Version Store. We were greeted at the door and told it would be 40 minutes before we could speak with a salesperson. As we turned to leave, we were invited to make an appointment to speak to someone the next day. We did make an appointment and we did show up on time. The salesperson we were assigned didnt introduce herself. She reviewed our wants and needs. She showed us the phones available and excused herself into the back room to create our quote. Some 5minutes later she returned with a piece of paper which she read to us. We asked if this was the best price for a current Verizon customer (over 12 years). She looked at us, somewhat bored, and said this was the best price. We told her that we could get the same for much less with a different carrier. Again, no interest on her part, so we left and took our business elsewhere. Not sure just how Verizon trains their store associates, but a friendly personality and outgoing interactive customer service might be something to look into.
Happened to stop in at the store after sitting down for some lunch in Royal Oak. My girlfriend wanted to see if she could get a Sim card for her phone so that she could get service inside the United States. The employee helping us proceeded to insert a Sim card in the slot and somehow managed to damage the screen while doing it requiring a replacement screen. He was servicing the phone for all of two minutes and did $200 worth of damage to it. The manager refused to acknowledge that the carelessness of his employee had anything to do with the destruction of the screen and refused to take responsibility for it. Just to be absolutely clear: we handed him the phone in perfect working order, no cracks or visible damage, and he handed it back to us in a state of non-functionality and pretended like it was no big deal.This is an absolutely insane way to run a business.
This is a great Verizon store. They were super patient with me when I had to transfer my service and then got me in quickly to get my device upgraded. I worked with Victoria and she was super kind, patient, and walked me through each step of the process. Chris, the Manager, was also a delight to work with. I will be coming here for all of my phone needs going forward.*also very clean environment and I felt comfortable going in - even in the middle of a pandemic. Its clear they care about their customers. 10/10
Horrible Store. Borderline incompetent. Not honest.Made a 1:00 pm appointment. Was checked in 20 minutes early and told we should not have come early. At 1:00 we asked about our appointment. When we made the appointment, we were told how great it was and how much faster it would.At 1:00 the same guy told us that we did not have a 1:00 appointment, it was a 1:00 to 1:30 timeslot where we would get a representative when they were available. At 1:28 someone became available.At 1:28 they told us we could not get a phone to move to Verizon because we did not have the other carrier account number or PIN number to authorize a change.When we made the appointment, we told Verizon what we were doing, and they never told us about this requirement.The person that checks you in did about nothing while we were there.The manager just nerveously walked around. Occasionally telling customers there was nothing he could do. The Service Representatives just want you to leave.6 Months ago, during the pandemic, they treated me badly in that transaction. Only one person allowed in the store. Basically telling you to order on-line. That was a bad experience. This was worse.These are not nice people. They do not care about you.I would find another store.

Really bad place. Was told Id be helped in 30 minutes. An hour later I was helped. Out of stock on the phone I wanted. talked about getting a good deal for me and went into the back room for half an hour. I had to leave after that. Should never spend an hour and a half getting a new phone.
The salesperson was so knowledgeable, professional and helpful at the royal oak store. I started out at a different store and felt like I was bothering them and they didnt want my business. I will definitely go back to royal oak because of the sales personnel .

Verizon wireless, a cell phone store that you CAN NOT CALL, but if you have a question, come on in and risk catching covid........am I the only person who finds this buisness practice about as opposite of what it should be as it can get? So happy I pay top $ & have been with the company for almost 20 years....I feel so appreciated & taken care of as a customer.

I just called this location for help with a childs smartwatch we purchased. We dont even use verizon as our provider and did not purchase it thru verizon either. Tania was so incredibly kind, patient and helpful with great customer service. The way this world is going lately, kindness goes a long way and I think Tania deserves a raise! 🤑😉

Chris was great, I went in with a question which he answered then he put me on a new plan that saved me $80 per month with additional features.
They have a good variety of inventory to choose from but the rep that sold me the phone was either unknowledgeable or just trying to sell me extra stuff to better commission. I would recommend that anyone getting a new phone do their own research on the phone capabilities and capability and not rely on the info here.

Went in today to upgrade my phone with a wait about an hour long. Once finally being helped, we ended up upgrading all 3 phones on the plan and purchased an Apple Watch, seems like a pretty significant win for Verizon. We left and my daughter and I did not have to leave our phones, my husband did have to leave his with the store/turn it in. My daughter and I had no problems setting ours up ourselves. My husband had no luck, we spent over an hour on the phone with Verizon where the woman had no idea what she was talking about and then finally said she could not help us and we had to go back to the store. We then tried the chat as it was past 9:00pm and the store was closed. The chat identified that he could not activate his new phone because it was showing that his old phone was still activated. Seriously??? Unfortunately they couldn’t do anything either. About 5 hours of our life waisted in the store, on the phone, chatting and trying repeatedly to get this to work with no resolution on a day we both took as a vacation day. Now we have to go back to Verizon in the morning to try and get this fixed when if the transaction were done correctly in the first place, we wouldn’t be in this situation. Absolutely ridiculous. Thanks for the great day off! I think our reps words were - if you can’t figure it just YouTube it. I wish.

The one in Troy on Big Beaver is the best 1 around. They are the most helpful and if theyre not sure they will ask one of their Other Employees. One or the other ones I was at just kept you waiting and waiting for over 2 hours.

VZW definitely has rallied.I can always rely on the Royal Oak store and I can get great help through their site online live chat 24/7.It’s the greatest!!! Horrible customer service. Went in to get pricing on a family plan and was misquoted $50/month under what the plan was actually going to cost. We only discovered the discrepancy because my husband’s phone wasn’t connecting to the network so we went back into the store two days later. Upon discovering the discrepancy, the store’s manager, Aaron, admitted that it was a newly trained employee who made this error and that we should “give him a break” because the guy was new. Aaron was not apologetic and did not offer to rectify the misquote. Aaron’s improper training has not only cost us money but hours of our time. I do not recommend this store to anyone who is looking for an accurate quote or decent customer service.
Very good service on the floor, and very good coverage on the road, very slow on rebates. Still waiting for my hundred dollar Visa card or account credit. I have called customer service several times. Last I heard it would be and 3 weeks, still waiting that was 3 months ago.
Ive been going to Verizon on Woodward in Royal Oak for years. They have always been been very helpful and professional. I was recently assisted by an associate named Bianca. She was extremely helpful, professional and friendly in explaining all my options. I purchased a Galaxy S-8 and Im extremely satisfied with the service and my new phone!

I walked in and within 10 minutes walked out with exactly what I was expecting: a replacement phone ordered for my phone that wasnt working well that I pay insurance on. The associate also signed me up, with my permission, to receive promotions for the upcoming season as they are released in case I want to upgrade. The Troy store on Big Beaver wasted 20 minutes of my time and said there was nothing they could do for me for both my phone and in terms of deals on new phones. Ill definitely be back to this store. I worked with store manager to obtain refund on behalf of my 86 yr old mother’s Humm purchase. Store salespeople had encouraged her to purchase the Humm. While this device might be good for some senior citizens it was a poor match for my parents. Many issues. “Zero accountability” response from store manager. Obtained resolution only after pursuing issue via Verizon Corporate.
I went to this store, I was a sure sale. I was upgrading my phone as my employer sent me there to do so. I respect that the salesperson had to contact my employer for verification, this is done through email. Seven minutes later, my employer had the authorization email returned and this should have been when I received service. Instead, the sales rep tried to squeeze another sale in with a group of customers with multiple needs. After another 15 minutes went by, I went to my car to get my beverage so it would not get warm, as I walk out the door, the rep states when I get back we would proceed. Nope! I wait another 15 minutes. Setting on the leather bench, he continues to help the four people and does not even acknowledge I am waiting. There are three other sales reps walking by me with nothing to do. Instead of worrying about the customer and handing me off to someone else, I get ignored. I was a sure sale, sure money. I will wait until I get back to my hometown of Grand Rapids where the sales team does not act like they are doing you a favor when helping you. If you are going to Verizon, you may want to do the same and save time.

How can you do business where you let your customers sit and wait for 30+ minutes when its clearly not busy and your staff is doing nothing but talking to each other and playing/texting on their own phones. The one and only reason I come here is because its close to home, I would gladly drive even an hour away to get better service! Your customers are why you have a job! Good thing your paid hourly and not based on tips!!

Terrible customer service! Employee not knowledgeable about their products. Quoted me an incorrect price for my monthly plan and then charged me $20 higher per month than what was promised. When I confronted the employee about the mistake, he didnt offer any sort of an apology. Spoke to the manager of the store who was not remotely helpful.
I arrived when the store opened. There was one person ahead of me. After talking to me twice, they made me wait 34 minutes to tell me that I didnt have the correct information. Then the clerk treated me like an idiot because I didnt know. The Somerset store took care of me efficiency and professionally.

Walked in and was told 10 minute wait. Half hour later I asked if it would be kuch longer and was told just a few more minutes. 45 minutes of total wait time in the store. Finally when an associate came to help she apologized about it taking so long, I asked to speak with a manager because a 45 minute wait is a little ridiculous and was told that the manager was busy on a phone call in the back and couldnt come out to speak with me. So not only was the manager of the store in back the entire time I was waiting to be helped, she could not even come out front to speak with me when I asked. It was by far the worst service I have ever recieved at a Verizon store.

I was having trouble with my smartphone, so I went in to see if they could fix it or get me a replacement. After waiting for a fairly long time (with very few people in the store I might add), I was helped by a store clerk. Before he even looked at the phone, he told me it was three days out of warranty, and my only other option was buying a $550 phone or wait three months for my renewal. Disappointed, I left the store and took a look at my account, lo and behold, it said I had sixteen days left on my warranty.Long story short: They will lie about your issues in hopes to get you to buy a new phone for an extraordinary price.
Switched to Verizon at this store and experienced HUGE ERRORS IN MY BILL. Ive had to call customer service more than four times to try to straighten it out. Sales agent literally could not have messed up more...
I suggest if you are going to use Verizon handle your purchase through their 800 number or on-line. The salesman in the store was not upfront. He added cloud to my bill telling me it was free with the equipment insurance. Lucky I went on line to check my account and was able to cancel it. He charged me for it. He did not give me a receipt in the store. Said it would be e-mailed. Never received and was not in my spam folder. Again, good thing I looked at my account on line to see what he actually did.
I walked into this store with full intentions on starting mobile service with Verizon. When I walked in no one greeted me so I made my way to the iPhone section to look at the new Xs, still no one approached me and asked me if I needed help. The employees carried on their personal conversations as if I wasn’t there so about 7.5 minutes later I walk towards the door, make eye contact with a worker at the front counter and proceed to leave. Obviously my business isn’t needed here.

This store is conveniently located right of Woodward Ave. The only interaction that I had with the staff was to pick up an online order. Otherwise, the staff was courteous and my transaction was completed within 10 minutes.
Always a wait. Employees try to upsell you on everything. Had an employee helping us who was more interested in setting up her date with another employee later that night than us.
They sold me a defective screen protector (broken out of the box). I went back not even an hour later, and they refused to give me a refund. They replaced it, indicating that the normally wouldnt even do that. Basically, they sold me trash, wouldnt give me my money back, and replaced it with more trash. They only get an extra star because theyre not unfriendly, but their policies are complete garbage.

I just upgraded my phone and bought accessories spending around $160, I get an email that the protection plan was addd to my account that would cost $13/ month. I called Corporate and had them take it off but I am pissed, the service was actually pretty good until this scam. Maybe they make commission or just hoping I didnt notice. Make sure you check your bills as clearly they are hoping you won’t notice!
Ive used this place for 4 yrs. My overall experience had been good with knowledgable and helpful staff more often than not. Today was great. Jeff assisted me with a warranty issue and was the only person at 3 Verizon Stores in the last 2 days that knew how to properly handle things. Thats been my experience here overall, I can find more knowledgable people here than other places.

Not even worth a star. So terribly bad. My phone was broken and Id found an offer online, but wasnt sure about the specifics, so went in figuring it would be easier to talk to a real person. They said I was still in contract (true) and treated me like Id made up the offer (not true). They did nothing to help me understand the situation at all. Just kept saying things like, Thats really weird, thats not a real offer,Also, the girl who helped me had a cold and was sniffling all over the place. Im not a germophobe, but when she coughed into her hand right before grabbing my drivers license from me, I felt my stomach turn a little.All in all, a gigantic waste of time. Im back to figuring it out on my own. Also looking around for the hand sanitizer... .
This store will rip you off and give you the old bait and switch. DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT enter this store. I have reported it to corporate for shady business practices. What they do is criminal and should be shut down. I have had to spend hours with corporate resolving the issues that the shady sales rep caused. This place should be investigated. The terrible reviews on this place are not terrible enough

Most of the time he as on his phone checking his fantasy football ratings and I felt like it was very unprofessional, I was trying to explain what I needed and then he’s showing me pictures from his WWE from fight and his concert her went to. I was like what? Is he serious? I really felt like he didn’t understand what I needed and he tried to up sell me on everything. I would possible bought more but he was to busy checking his fantasy football. It was just kinda annoying.
Horrible service, they have a really bad attitude toward every choice you make about your plan, and when you say no they just act like jerks that you didnt accept whatever deal they have.Called asked if they had a phone, they said ya, went to the store to ask for it, they said they didnt have it, told them I just talked to them and he said ok ya but its only for pre order, I said no its out today, finally he went in the back and realized it was for sale and they had some. All of this could have been avoided if the moron would have A) known about the products hes selling B) made a minimal effort at his job and checked C) not listen to music on his shitty Beats head phones the whole timeThere are good Verizon stores, with people willing to help you, this one DEFINITELY isnt, I hope this place closes and everyone at this store loses there job.
I would give zero stars to this store if I could. I have been a verizon customer for 10 years. I have done business in this store very successfully before. Tonight I was treated most unprofessionally. I complained about wrong and deceitful information from a phone center representative. I was told that it did not matter to them that on the phone I was quoted one thing but now they were going to charge me a premium for an upgrade that I was due. I was told that the general manager would call.... you know that did NOT happen. Probably you should look for another store. I will for sure look for another Verizon store. Maybe even ATand T. Maybe ten years is enough.

We walked in because one of our phones wouldnt turn n and the salesman ... Lance... was extremely rude. He told us that we should know how to weekly maintain the internet. We ave had phone for many years an this is the first we have heard of this. He didnt show us what to do, he told us its out there. The store was completely empty so it wasnt like he had other customers to attend to.Thanks for the help and the cheery attitude Lance.

When I first went there, a tech named Boykin got me set up with a plan and a phone despite a lot of technical challenges, he was able to do a whole bunch of things at once and worked about 3 straight hours to make sure everything was workingThe second time I went in there with difficulty chamging my plan, a tech named Firas understood what I needed and how stressed out I was, and he took care of it all on my behalf in minutesReally impressed with this store, they can definitely make the process easy and unstressed

The folks in this store is complete trash. They completely ruined what I thought would be a great christmast gift for my sister. I live in DC, my sister lives in Michigan and I sent her to this store to pick up her phone that I added to my line and they created a entire circus. the order was placed at about 9am. I called the store to follow up at about 5pm because my sister was already there. One of the Managers Rodney got on the phone and asked me several questions like where I lived and what I did for a living like i was some type of criminal, i didnt think anything of it at that time I just answered his questions. he then told me the order couldnt be picked up that evening because it was still in pending status, so my sister left. I called back later that evening around 6ish close to 7 pm another store manager named Bianca told me the order is still pending, it should be ready by tomorrow. The next day I called customer service because i felt like the store was playing games i had customer service call the store, they told customer service they didnt have the phone and they had to order it.. I thought cool. whatever order it. Then I called the day the phone was to arrive at the store, some dummy answered the phone and couldnt give me any answers. he started stuttering like we have always had the phone, we are just waiting for the pending status to be complete thats when I knew they were on some type of games. I called customer service, customer service told me this store put a fraud alert on my account and that I had to call the fraud department. I called the fraud department they told me their was no alert on my account. This is when I said ok. Im done with these people, I will have it shipped to my sisters home. I called customer service back they told me they couldnt cancel the order, the store had to. I called the store, some moron answered and said he didnt know how that he couldnt, yall catch my drift? These people play games, they are unprofessional, and they are liars. Ive never written a review about any company before but after this experience I felt the strong desire to. I even called corporate. They really messed up my holiday surprise and treated me like a criminal and strung me along with lies. the entire staff needs to be re-vamped. Whoever the regional manager is needs to clean house at this location ASAP

I will never use location again! After waiting forever with my husband and 15 month old we upgraded my iphone to a 5s and checking out even took a very long time. The salesman handed me my phone and said we were all set, printed out receipts and sent us on our way. Not till a couple hours later did I ask my husband if he was handed a bag with the box and charger in it. He wasnt handed anything and I definitely wasnt. I thought that was really strange that he never even bagged it for us, cause I remember it sitting in the box while he charged us for it. Even then you think wed be called on either one of our phones that we left it there, but nope.I figured Id just pop in right when it opened and theyd give me my box. No of course not, I was told to wait after a line of people. I explained I just need my iphones box and showed them my receipt. The guy looked at me like he couldnt help me and so I waited 30 minutes with my 15 month old running wild to GET HANDED A BOX! Thats ridiculous! Could not believe how horrible the service was and no one apologized after it all either. Boggles my mind still. Avoid this place.
