John was one of several angels that helped me in an unfortunate break down. He was honest, and helpful, and right. He was kind to reset my code error at no charge, but warned me that the last diagnostic from Auto Zone was incorrect and he knew I wasnt going to make it far. I had a dog and a cat with me as well. He wished me well and said to head the way I have the most friends to help, and he was right. It wasnt Auto Zones fault, they were helpful and actually sent me to him. Thank you John for being an honest person! I would bring my car here if I was in the area! He is old school and knows what he is talking about!

June 2020 my 96 Honda Civic was stolen from their property after weeks of waiting to be looked at. Not only did they neglect to inform me it was missing, they left me stranded with my vehicle and refused to give any farther assistance. Completely disappointed as I was referred by a friend, but one thing in have learned in life money cant buy morals. 0 stars!!

The incredibly nice man was busy, so he told me how to fix my car with an eight dollar part! Super cool!!!

My family and I have been taking our cars here for 10+ years, and they are wonderful. Quick, reasonable pricing, and just all around great people. I had an urgent issue with my car on break from college once and it ended up being something they couldnt fix so they told us where to go, and didnt even charge for diagnosing the problem! I dont know if thats regular policy haha, but I do know that they are not in the habit of charging any more than they have to, and they have always taken great care of us. :)

I looked up this site because I want to contact them for an appointment. Sadly I had never thought to leave a review before. I was shocked to see the negative comments. They have worked on my car several times. It is an older Jaguar. The owner has always been extremely professional, friendly and more than fair. They will be receiving a call from me shortly, I reccomend them to all of my family and any of my friends.Thank you for the times I thought I had a problem, you checked it out and said it was fine. DO NOT EVER TAKE YOUR CAR HERE! THE OWNER IS A LIAR AND DIRTY DEALER. NEVER WILL THEY HAVE OUR BUSINESS AGAIN!!!!!Heads up about Colby Automotive in Roseburg.....We took our sons car in to have the window fixed as the window wouldnt roll up or down anymore. We dropped it off on a Friday and he told us he should be done by Tuesday at the latest. Every day we called and got some version of how it would be another day before it was fixed. On Thursday he left a voicemail with us saying it would be done by Friday around noon. We showed up that Friday, but again the car wasnt done. He told us it would be done later that day and hed call us. He never called. Instead we showed back up around 4pm to discover he left, shortly after saying our car would be done that day, and went golfing. We told the guy working there to take what, if any, parts newly added out, and we took our car elsewhere. The new mechanic fixed the problem in 1 hour. The same problem the other mechanic at John Colby Automotive couldnt/wouldnt do in a week of having our car. There was always some story about wrong parts, reordering and such. When the mechanic realized we took our car he claimed there was a new switch for the window that was left in the car and that we owed him $200-230 for the part. We called up the new mechanic and discovered that the switch was new and had been left in the car, even though we told them to take anything new out before we left with the car, and that the part was actually only $140 NOT $200-230. Because were honest people, well be returning the part left in the car. But let this be a warning, NEVER TO BUSINESS WITH COLBY AUTOMOTIVE IN ROSEBURG. He will lie and try to cheat you and keep your car indefinitely apparently, perhaps to jack up the shop time cost????

TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! My Subaru broke down outside of Roseburg and ended up being towed to Colby Lemings Automotive Services. Once it arrived to the shop, my boyfriend and I spoke to the mechanic over the phone more than once and repeatedly told him just find out what the problem is first and call us before you touch anything. The guy ignored this, called us a week later and demanded $2000 for repairing everything under the hood. Mind you, I had just put $1500 under the good the month before and several thousands from the day I bought it 3 years ago. Bottom line, this guy is not getting his $2000...especially when my 98 Forester isnt even worth that amount. Screw this joint & the stupid mechanic. Thanks for your time. Rant ended.

The guy was rude mike if i remember correctly charged me 160 for a part i bought at autozone for 22 bucks no one was friendly and wouldnt even make eye contact with me and he also did the same to me. He said he said something otherwise when he didnt. Dont go here

When I took our vehicle in for service what I had asked to be done was not done & the one thing they said was fixed wasnt & when I called them they said each other had told me something that I was not told at all.

My sister took her car here was quoted 45 to put in on the machine to see why her heater is not working then they charged her 85 and did not know where the problem is so she’s out 85 dollars and they never did a damn thing really poor business and I will in fact spread the word
