They let you try out flavors to make sure you like it before you buy, but honestly you can’t go wrong with any flavor! One of my favorite gelato places ever and their chocolate is great too.

Yum yum yum. Plenty of chocolates to pick from. Anise candies too. Gelato and cupcakes. Fast service and convenient location. We were helped by an older lady which was very helpful and patient. She gave us plenty of samples and packed what we bought in nice boxes that were perfect for traveling. Chocolates didn’t even melt . If you are next to Mayo Clinic, make sure to stop by and traer yo self to one of these desserts

People working there were lovely and were willing to let you sample any of the gelato, which by the way, was delicious.

Amazing service. I made an order from Australia for my husbands birthday, for them to be delivered the next day. They were so responsive and friendly, and made the entire process super easy! Husband also said the chocolates are delicious!

The ladies that work at this location are kind, charming, pleasant, friendly, polite, welcoming. I have to let you know, their chocolate is expensive and they do sell kosher chocolate, just ask. I bought a kosher chocolate. I had an excellent experience.

Second time coming tp this chocolate shop and both times have been good.First time about this time last year and got a number of gelato for a basketball team.Today ended up getting a box of bon bons, some chocolate bars, and chocolate covered espresso beans. The staff is helpful and courteous, they can get busy but the flavors and quality make it worth the wait.If you are in the area should give them a try.

Chocolatorie Stam is more than a century old chocolate shop in the University square, Downtown Rochester Minnesota. They have variety chocolates and ice creams which are really nice. The staff are really great and help the customers make good choices. There are desks in front of the shop where one can sit and enjoy the ice cream. The chocolates are available individually and in assortment in boxes.

They have an excellent array of fancy chocolate; perfect for a treat or a gift.

Got 2 scoops of gelato.Not impressed by the taste, looks like artificial flavours (extract) are added in both chocolate hazelnut and pistachio (hazelnut and almond extract I believe).Texture and consistency are good though.

This place is BY FAR the place to go if youre looking for ice cream or desserts. Wow! The Gelato was incredible. I tried some other flavors and they were amazing. I got a big dish of cookies and cream mixed with vanilla. I ordered way too much though.The chocolates are the best ive ever had. They have cream filled mice, which is not runny or gross it is actually really thick and has a subtle flavor that is not at all too sweet. The chocolates shaped like corn were my favorite, and the peanut butter hearts.The prices are high, but for the quality of the chocolate it is SO worth it!!!The wrapping was an art all by itself, with a tiny brochure with each flavor so if you give them as a gift that person will know exactly what chocolate they are eating! Although they dont have the specialty chocolates on that brochure, which would really be nice.The women working was VERY patient with us. My step dad likes to ask a lot of questions and could get kind of over bearing, but the lady was prompt at patient the entire time.Will definitely be coming here probably every single time I come to Rochester.

Wow. I took my parents to this store on Saturday morning and we were blown away. Yes, the chocolate is great and the ice cream (gelato) is really good too. However, what really struck us was the customer service. We had arrived before they opened, knowing wed have to wait, but about 30 minutes before they were supposed to open, one of their employees walked into the store, then walked back out and asked us if we were waiting for him to open. He let us know that they didnt open for another half hour, but hed gladly open for us.My parents are not easy people to please, and Im sure they sure tested him, but wow, he never looked frazzled and he answered all their questions with the same respect youd give your parents. Even when the phone rang in the background, he just ignored it and kept serving us. We will definitely be coming back here in the future. More times than not you feel like a number when you go shopping, that day we really felt like much more.Oh a side note, chocolate was a little expensive, but he showed us how to save money by buying more chocolate and the ice cream consistency was a little off, but since they werent quite open yet and he explained that the gelato needed to be warmed up for serving, I didnt feel a need to knock off any points. Well be back this week for more appointments so Im looking forward to trying more ice cream.

Great chocolate. No problem eating the gluten-free chocolates, though stayed away from the gelato. Most of it had mixed in bits that werent gluten-free, or had pieces spilled over into other flavors.

These are amazing chocolates, made with real cream!

My daughter here is showing off a small cookies and cream gelato. It may look small, but they overfill the cup to about twice the height. My husband, who is decidedly larger, got a small chocolate gelato, and asked me who gets bigger sizes; my thought was people who are new to Stam or really love their gelato!I finished it out with a seasonal flavor of cranberry orange sorbetto, also small. We were all happy, and, at $4 per cup, I found it reasonable for a special occasion treat.

I was disappointed with this shop. I messaged them to ask some information for what they have. They read it and didn’t reply. They were rude in my opinion. Never ever come to this shop.

We generally stop by in, between appointments. They used to have a stock of fudge, but in the last year, every time we go, they say they are waiting on a new shipment. Something about their inventory process seems awry. Its the only thing we get, so I cant comment on the chocolate or gelato.

They have a good selection of chocolate and some tasty gelato.
