I cannot say enough good things about the shop owner, Lucy, and her employees! They started out with 2 rows of fabric and a few machines. How many people would keep going back? I did, because Lucy is very personable and wants you to be happy with your selections. She has great sewing/quilting classes. We have lots of laughs! Every class I come out of there more knowledgeable about my machine and embroidery. I’ve met some terrific Ladies! Lucy has turned me into a Kimberbell addict (I love it!). What I really like most of all is that she doesn’t schedule all the classes during the week and I can still sign up for the weekend ones! Thank you Lucy!

It was my first time at Bobbin & Bolt. It was a bit tricky to find. Spacious store with good selection of fabrics. The lady, who helped me, was knowledgeable and patient. I totally appreciate the mask policy and readily available hand sanitizer. My first choice in quilt stores is Quilting Adventure, because it is smaller and has a nicer, less industrial feel to it. However, Bobbin & Bolt is definitely a place to keep in mind, too.

I definitely would not recommend this shop. As a beginner quilter I asked how much material I would need for a backing if not using extra wide fabric. I was told seven yards for my lap sized quilt. I quickly realized when I went to use the fabric and watched videos on how to piece together fabric for my backing that seven yards was way too much. So prior to cutting I went back to this store and asked to return the seven but buy back the four I really needed. The owner came and looked at my receipt and first said my receipt was getting ready to expire. I pointed out that was why I came in when I did. Then she said if you read the receipt we do not do returns. I explained the situation and she stated no exceptions. I was told on my way out “Have a nice day” which we all know what she really meant! With Al Hunt as their lead tech-on-call you can expect superior service on your machines from arguably the best in the business- mind you hes not always available, but whenever he is, know that youre being handled well by Al and Lucy to give you the kind of service you require. They also offer lessons on stitching, embroidery, and more. The teachers will happily teach you the sewing basics, advanced techniques, and invite you to come back for more because that is the level of service that newcomers and long time enthusiasts gravitate towards.

I love Bobbin & Bolt and their beautiful inventory!! This is a new business that opened in the middle of the crazy COVID timed!! Be sure to come out and support their efforts to grow and build their business for us!!One of the things I love and appreciate is how they carry all or most of a particular line that is very helpful at planning and gathering materials for projects.

Im new to the area and while Im a beginner sewer who hasnt done much since I was a child, I knew I wanted a quality machine to work off of that would last me a while. Going local through Bobbin and Bolt proved to be a great decision. I called before going and spoke with Lucy, the owner. She listened to my sewing needs and, price point and then set me up for an appointment where she personally set aside time for me inside the store where she had 3 great options for me. Ultimately, she walked me piece by piece on a machine that seemed best suited for me. She showed me various stitches, how to thread the bobbin and machine and ensured I had the right accessories for my needs. After, she even sent me a personal email to make sure I was getting set up ok on the new machine successfully at home.The customized assistance and the fact that they have on-site maintenance was definitely worth it. I cant imagine I would ever have gotten the help she provided at a chain store. Plus the line of machines they carry (Bernina and their little sister line Bernette) are known for quality and durability. It was a great experience overall and I look forward to supporting this local shop!

I was seaching for a Quilt kit online and found it at two places. Bobbin & Bolt was cheaper, so I ordered the kit. It arrived very quickly!
