What surprised me most was that most of the negative reviews on Google were responded to by the owner.Since then Ive had nothing but the best service. Theyve resolved emergency issues and been very flexible and communicative about scheduling. James especalially has been a great help and is always kind and accommodating.Prices make sense, service is great, communication is impeccable!

I needed to get my starter repaired. I had it towed over and my service was top notch! They helped me greatly as being a single dad and only one car! They were very professional and gave me a great review of my repairs with pictures and everything! They got the ok for repairs and had my car back to me is amazing time! For example, for the owner of the white BMW i8. Beautiful car, brand new. Today on 12/04/2020 around 1pm-2pm I witnessed a few of the employees peel out of the parking lot, and race down the street sliding around corners as turning into other neighboring streets. Not only were they reckless driving. But they were endangering my quiet neighborhood as well as ruining that cars tires and alignment. They almost hit another car as well. So hopefully everyone thinks twice when trusting this unprofessional business that endangers our neighborhoods and disrespects the owners with how they treat the cars behind their backs. Unfortunately, I witness this all the time. Terrible business.

I was driving across several states to get to a funeral. My car overheated in Sparks, NV the next morning I called several places to try to get my car in to be fixed so I could make it to the funeral. CoAuto immediately got my car into the garage, quickly diagnosed the issues and got my car fixed the same day. I really appreciate the work that the employees did on my car and how understanding they were that I needed to get in and out as quickly as possible. My car is running perfectly again and I am grateful that they made it possible for me to get to home. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

These guys are awesome. Broken car goes in, they hook me up with rides to and from house. Fixed car comes out. Then rental car that they pay for and return. As far as customer service goes, Co-auto stands head and shoulders above all other auto service in Reno. You will not be disappointed, service to value ratio is off the charts.

Scam shop, cracked my windshield and faulty reprogrammed ECU (that I didnt need!) caused misfires and had to be fixed by Capital Ford in Carson City. Owners of shop refuse to reimburse or refund overcharged services.Spent over $4,000 to find out it was a $30 MAF sensor, and CoAuto does not think they have any responsibility to make it right.DO NOT GO HERE!

Best shop in town. These people bend over backwards to be helpful in every aspect of what they do. After a diagnostic I couldnt afford the repairs at any shop I called(they came in at more than fair). They cleaned my truck during the diagnostic and helped me look for parts. I would use no one else if I have a another issue.

I had great and friendly service at Co-Auto. Their pricing is comparable to other shops in the area. I really like the emails so I can approve or disapprove the work based on my budget and the pictures of the old parts that need to be replace and the pictures of the new parts that were replaced are a nice touch. I dont know of any other shop in town that does this. I am happy with the work I have had done on my truck.

Finally an honest repair shop! I have been coming to CoAuto for more than 3 years with both a 2007 BMW 530i and a 2019 Subaru Impreza for all maintenance and repairs. Rochelle, Anthony, and the team at CoAuto have been professional and helpful every step of the way! They provide outstanding service and fair pricing. They use the exact parts and fluids for your vehicle, and go by the book to ensure the job is done right. Oil changes come with a full vehicle inspection including tire rotations and tread depth readings, check fluid levels, brake pads and rotors, and document any potential upcoming needs for your car. They use software to document progress on repairs, including pictures of all work done, and use the built-in text program to keep you updated on progress and to gain permission if any additional work needs to be done. They are completely transparent with what needs to be done and why, how much it will cost, and allow you to make a fully informed decision about your car. Worth every penny. Honestly, they deserve at least a dozen 5-star reviews from me! And the art gallery from local creators in their lobby is icing on the cake. Also, Military/Veterans Discount!

Today on 12/4/20 around 1-2pm I witnessed the employees of this establishment joyriding a nearly new BMW i8 on the neighborhood side streets. I live across the street and I was home for a lunch break and when I left I witnessed the white i8 leave the coauto parking lot and turn left down the side street Chism. The car then took off peeling tires and when that street reconnects to the main road the driver slid the entire car sideways right into traffic. Now I don’t own a 150k car but I do own a 80k Audi that they previously told me needs a new engine, lol not the case but regardless I would be extremely upset if I found out they drove my baby like that. If you are the owner of the white BMW i8 being serviced there today I apologize on their behalf and if there’s something wrong with your alignment now etc., I hope you see this review. And to the employees, shame on you for disrespecting someone’s property like that. You will never own a car that nice and it shows...

I had my first service/experience with Vinnie and CoAuto this week. This has to be one of the cleanest, well run shops I have ever visited. This is coming from a guy whos father owned auto repair shops for 40 years and essentially grew up a grease monkey! Their process is extremely up to date as they use tech during the entire process while they have your vehicle in the shop. You get up to date message with pictures and recommendations directly from the technician who is working the job. Very cool process. Thanks again Vinnie!

Best place in Reno! My husband and I blew a water pump when we were 3 hours away from home, on a Friday, around noon. Everyone was closed that weekend. We called so many places and many were unpleasant and unwilling to help. CoAuto got us right in, got it looked at, fair quote and got it fixed by 6pm so we could head home. They even paid for a Lyft ride so we could go downtown to kill some time. The customer service at all levels was top notch, the work and time the techs took to help us out will never be forgotten and the car is still running like a champ 3 months later. Thank CoAuto! If youre looking for the latest in ambiance this is not the place. Go next door to Paradise grill. Whats impressive is the food is very good for the price and they have some good bands there at times with a large dance floor once they move the tables. We went there last night and it was like a musicians convention. Most of the people there were musicians and their followers.They kept rotating in and out of the band and it was some of the best Rock /blues music I had heard it in a small club for a long time.

I enjoyed having the ability to see the repairs live via their app. Very cool. However, I did not appreciate the call the next day after pickup telling me they might have made a mistake with their repairs/car service. That was troubling and inconvenient. I will need to reassess if I will use them again after that.

CoAuto has worked on my vehicle a few times now, and every time, they under-promise and over-deliver. The entire team is kind and respectful. The owners, two brothers, are great mechanics and just all around nice guys. Their new facility is a work of art. They display a ton of local artists work, and the shop has a beautiful mural on the wall.Ive done some work for a number of mechanic shops in town on the IT side of things, and I have never seen a shop as clean as theirs. I once heard a saying, that you can tell how much a tradesman loves his trade by how well he takes care of his tools, and this shop is the epitome of that saying.The Co, in CoAuto, apparently stands for Community Conscious, and with the number of services, classes, and amount of charity they do for the Reno-Sparks community, really shows that they mean it. Every time I have had my vehicle worked on, they have spent the time to educate me on what they did, why they did it, and how I can take better care of my vehicle.Not to mention, they also provide an amazing warranty and reimbursement for towing, up to a certain amount, for a year or two. I am not sure where else in Reno, you can get the same level of service and warranty, as you can here.I will be taking my vehicle here, from here on out. I recommend the same to anyone reading this.

They were very kind. They took photos of everything they did on my vehicle, so I knew exactly what was being done or needed to be done. I appreciated everything they did for people in the medical field and will be sure to go back.

I first visited CO Auto for a vehicle inspection last year when I purchase my care. I spent over $1000 in repairs and maintenance. This year, I had to return to Co Auto due to my crank shaft sensor mysteriously breaking off where the wire connects to the sensor. Co Auto provided a 3 year warranty on my part and I also paid nearly $350 for it, so I took it in. My vehicle was inspected that late afternoon and I receive photos of my wire and the top of my hood. They stated they believed it was caused by rodent damage. I let them know that was not possible and there were never any signs of mice or rodents in my car. I asked to have an mouse pest control worker to take a look at the car for a professional opinion. They agreed to this and also allowed for a 2nd opinion. I was quite upset about this situation and felt they were treating it unfair especially since there was no true evidence of mice. Day 1,The first photo I received of my wire displayed a broken off wire. Day 2, After I threatened the company with having my car further inspected by someone else. I received more photos of my car and wire later that day from a different mechanic who inspected my car again without my permission. This time I got photos of a wire that had marks all in it, when there were no marks in the previous wire photos. Needless to say the worker I spoke with was rude, unprofessional, and showed obvious detest towards me. I felt completely scammed and worried my car was tampered with so I got my vehicle off their lot and to a 2nd opinion. My second opinion, another repair shop, stated that the wire did not have bit marks and that there was no evidence of rodents in my car. No droppings, no destruction, and no nesting. When I also showed the photos to an exterminator, he was appalled that this was happening to me. I showed the photos to the mechanics at the other shop as well and they could see that the 2nd set of photos sent to me were not the same as the first set of photos sent a day prior and were not the same as the wire broken off in my car.

The most honest shop I have ever found!!We all know how notorious auto shops can charge you for things you may not need while overcharging along the way. I have been burned so many times and this shop is THE BEST. I drive over an hour away just to see this shop now. They took it upon themselves to find ways to save on replacement parts for me during my service. They saved me over $200 compared to another shop’s quote. They are honest, kind and genuinely want to earn your business. Vinnie bent over backwards to help me and Brennan (one of the techs) bent over backwards to help. You won’t find nicer people, better pricing, or more quality service. I will be a customer for life.

I dropped my vehicle at CoAuto without calling ahead of time. I was informed that it would be several days before they would be able to work on my vehicle, which i had no problem with that arrangement.I was notified via email that they were able to preform the the work ahead of the scheduled day.I was well informed before and after the work that was performed on the car.I have recommended CoAuto to friends and family.

I say this without any hyperbole, this is the best mechanic I have ever been lucky enough to stumble across. The staff are incredible, fun and enthusiastic, they tell you every price up front and are actively trying to charge you LESS money. The fact that it doubles as an art gallery for local up and coming artists is an unbelievable bonus. They fixed my 4Runner on the day and even cleaned it!!! Make an appointment, do yourself a favour and make some friends. 12/10 would recommend.

This review is way overdue, but better late than never! CoAuto did a bunch of work on my Ford Festiva. I had failed the smog test for vehicle registration and I needed a hole in my exhaust fixed and a few other repairs on the engine. The price was competitive, my car was old and uncommon and they did a great job to find the problems, keep it running and pass smog. They fixed main issues without trying to pressure me into extra unnecessary repairs.Vinnie and the staff are great. The auto repair industry has a bad reputation for shady business practices, but not at CoAuto. These guys care about me as their customer even though it was only a few hundred dollars for the work. Theyre are honest, and do great work. Thank you so much for being an awesome part of the Reno Community.

After meeting with you yesterday, I reviewed my driving history. I got my license at 16, Im now 82 - I have been driving for 66 years. This was the first time someone, Vinnie, looked me in the eye and explained everything that was wrong with my car. He did this with pictures and explanations that I, a woman, could understand. I definitely will keep his number in my phone. He is the best - understanding, compassionate, sincere, honest.

Wow! Idk where to begin, but my first phone call to my service and me driving away, 2 days later Im still impressed!!! I was afraid to go to a place I havent been or heard of and scared I was gonna get told from A-Z whats wrong and since they know vehicles more than me I would get this huge bill BUT everything they said was wrong I got pictures and they are so honest!!! And for me to actually see it in full breakdowns and the communication was stellar!!! I think Ive found my next home for my vehicle to get worked on. Worst experience ever. Brought my car in for transmission slippage. They said they couldnt fix it. Went to drive it home and the battery was dead, car overheated, and the oil light came on on the 7 mile drive home. Cost me $125 for them to completely destroy my vehicle.The response received here is a complete fabrication. Considering I drove the vehicle in the battery obviously worked and the radiator was not leaking and I absolutely did not have oil leaking either. I simply brought it in because my Transmission was slipping.Apparently, in the course of their inspection they ruined my battery, drained my oil and radiator fluid. I am appalled by these lies since I simply left an honest review and didnt sue them for damages as I was encouraged to do.My car had recently had extensive work done, because I had jumped a curb and I have all the paperwork from that shop stating the vehicle was in fine condition with the exception of the transmission only 2 months prior. Again, the fact that I drove the car into this terrible shop for repairs should show that my battery, oil and radiator was fine prior to leaving it.

Fantastic repair shop. Prices are a bit steep but the mechanics are transparent about the repairs they recommend (they provide pictures of any visible damage/wear), and theyre easy to interact with. My engine started leaking coolant badly, so I brought it in 5 minutes before the shop closed on a Friday -- they all stayed late, drove to the Subaru dealership for a new part, and fixed my car up even though I brought the car in so last minute.

They were very customer oriented & knowledgeable service people. They gave me a list of things I need to have checked/fixed & when. Very open to feedback. Assured me I should bring car back if any problem with original repair! Neil was my service Rep. He was great.

The folks at Co-Auto are honest and transparent.Their front end staff (weve dealt with Rochelle and Matt), do an excellent job communicating your options, and I have always gotten the information I needed to make an informed decision about what work needed to be done. Their Mechanics are thorough, and document all of the diagnostics and work they do. We have had small job (e.g. used car checks) and larger jobs (power steering service) with them, and have been totally happy with the process.Friends have mentioned that their pricing is a little higher than some competitors, but 1) they use all OE parts (worth it) and 2) the small premium paid for excellent service and transparency is worth every penny in the long run. Also their quotes have almost always fallen within the range of other shops in the area. If I payed myself for the time I spent worrying about repairs in the past, it would have covered going with Co-Auto from the get go. We have gone back time and time again because of this.

I went in to have my new truck checked, they did a thorough review going and checking everything. I find that the best part of them is they printed out a report with everything wrong and right with it.They also keep in contact with me, just going to show how much that care about you as a customer.I will continue to do business.Love coauto!!

Staff were extremely transparent with the work they performed throughout the entire process. I have a very old vehicle with odd quirks and it did take them a long time (10 days) to figure out the issue it was having. But I have to respect the communication and professionalism they displayed. They also charged me a very fair price considering how much time they put into the job. Ive had more than my fair share of shady mechanic encounters, but this shop gave me a very good first impression. I highly recommend them.

We recently moved here from out of state and finding a new mechanic is always such a big to do (that I’ve been putting off... ;) ). But, wow, I’m so glad I tried this place! Their staff is very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. They take pictures of oil testing results and of trouble areas where they recommend maintenance so you can see first hand what they’re talking about. They’re even hosting an educational class on car repairs for women tonight so us ladies can be more informed and avoid getting swindled by car shops. How cool is that?! And, to top it off, they offer roadside assistance reimbursement for a year and plant a tree for new customers to help offset carbon emissions. Uh, yep, I can definitely check find a new mechanic off my to do list now. :)

They actually take the time to thoroughly inspect your vehicle and provide you with a very detail diagnoses and cost of repairs. I was very impressed with the report they texted me and a follow up phone call to go into further detail about what may be urgent and what I might want to repair in the future. Ive been to a lot of shops who guess their way through issues, charging me to experiment their way through diagnostics...When CoAuto takes care of my car they KNOW whats wrong before they start working. Their industry leading diagnostics coupled with picture, video/sound samples to show me, the owner of the vehicle, exactly what is wrong before asking me to approve or decline every aspect of the service they look forward to expertly performing. They are happy to allow me to take care of the little things I can do myself but, for anything outside of my ability, I wont let anyone else touch my vehicle. I love CoAuto. They have shown me honesty, integrity and the will to go above and beyond to provide a top tier customer service experience. To top off their professionalism and excellent performance within the automotive service industry they go many steps further in supporting the local community by showcasing local artists in their shop, providing DIY workshops for those of us who wish to become a little more self-sufficient with our automobiles and a education program to allow local youth the opportunity to find a passion for the automotive repair industry. I cant say enough good things about this shop...CoAuto sets the bar for excellence, and I will happily wait my turn for my next service so you can have pleasure of giving them a shot.

The only shop in town I trust my bmw with Ive had nothing but great experiences with the staff Niles and Rochelle are very knowledgeable and go above and beyond to make sure I leave satisfied. I really like this shop! They have a great atmosphere, very different from any other shop Ive ever visited. Its bright and clean, they feature local artists on the walls, both in the actual shop and in the waiting area, they have coffee and snacks and the people are really friendly and upbeat! They seem to be very competent and conscientious, they are upfront about what needs to be done and how much it will cost, and they get it done in a timely manner. If every shop was like this it would revolutionize the industry! People would almost be glad when their car had a problem just so they could take it in and interact with the awesome folks at the repair shop! (Ok, slight exaggeration but hopefully it gets the point across...)I met one of the founders of CoAuto just when they were about to open. We were both having breakfast at GreatFull Gardens (a favorite local spot) and struck up a conversation. He told me what they were planning and a bit about their philosophy and gave me a card. About a year later my daughter needed here radiator replaced. She had taken it to the dealer and they had it for nearly a week and still hadnt gotten around to it, so we just went over and got it and told them to forget it. I remembered my conversation with Vinnie from CoAuto, so we called and made an appointment and they got us in right away. We took it in around 10, and they had it done by 3. The price was reasonable, they did great work, and as I mentioned, they were honest and up front and very friendly.Recently, her car needed servicing and she went to them again. I went and picked her up to hang out while the car was being worked on. They said it would be done around 3 as before, but then called at 1 to say it was finished. Again, they did a good job and the cost was quite reasonable.I cant say enough about what a great thing these guys and girls have put together at CoAuto. Their whole vibe is upbeat, friendly, and honest. They are conscious about giving back to the community, and work hard to create a positive experience for everyone who patronized their shop. Larry at CoAuto was so helpful when the fuel pump went out on my daughters Mazda. We had the car towed over late in the afternoon and they had it ready to go by the next morning. They called a week later just to be sure that everything was okay. I will definitely use them again!

I have always have amazing service here with the Lucido brothers at CoAuto. They have amazing customer service and explain everything in a way that normal person can understand. Recently purchases a BMW M3 and they has no problems replacing the clutch and flywheel. Normal to exotics, their crew knows there stuff.

Very rude. This business is right by my friends house and they park oversized vehicles in HER driveway without permission. My friend asked them nicely to not park there and they were extremely rude to her and told her to just be careful as she backs out. I wouldnt support a business that parked on my property and just acted like its my problem. DO NOT GO HERE. You will be supporting people who have no respect for your things, space or time. If they cant respect the residents that LIVE on the same street as their business then they cant be a respectable business.

The mechanic did a good job on the repair. The price $500 for a $200 dollar part and another 500 in labor If your from out of state you may want to call around. CoAuto will nickel and dime you. I love to support small business, just not at an inflated price. The employee who reached out to me stated we could have replaced part x, y, and z and charged you for that too smh.

I called the day before during a thunderstorm because my windshield wipers were not working properly and a brake light was out. I was taken the next morning and was in and out in less than an hour. Great service!

Rochelle, Vince and the rest of the team at Co Auto were so unbelievably friendly and helpful. I was told during an oil change last week at a quick lube shop that my ‘15 chevy spark was most likely leaking antifreeze and I needed to get it checked out immediately. I googled car repair in Reno and found Co Auto based on their awesome reviews. I called Co Auto to see how soon I could get a diagnosis, and they told me to come in that afternoon. They diagnosed my car within 24 hours, wrote up an extremely detailed report including pictures (even took an action shot during the pressure test and circled the leak and drew an arrow to it!) and texted me with a link to the report with an invoice and price breakdown. They called me within minutes of sending the report to discuss my options. Rochelle made me feel like I was their top priority - and I was a walk in! She then helped me work with my warranty group and went out of her way to make sure I could get my car back as soon as it was finished. I cannot say enough good things about this shop...I will never go anywhere else for work on my car! Went because of the reviews, stayed for the good vibes and service :)

CoAuto raises the bar in auto repair service! Their customer service is excellent from the minute you walk in the door. They start the process with a Friendly and welcoming attitude. Their office is clean, modern, comfortable, and also an art gallery filled with works from local artists. They take all your info, put it in their computer and offer you options for all future communications; phone, text, and/or email. They take your car for a test drive to help identify the problem and if needed have you leave it for further investigation. They do charge for evaluation work if it takes more than 15 mins. to locate the problem. They charged me for a full hour to completely go over the car and document all of the recommended work plus the original problem that i brought the car in for. You should be able to negotiate just to have them tell you only the specific problem your car is having. I left and heard back from them is 3 hours. They sent me a text message with a link to their customer service website. It had ever detail you could want to see without having to be there. Pictures of each thing that needed doing with arrows and circles annotating every problem. An estimated cost for the repair and approval or refusal buttons to let them know what you wanted the repair work done of not. They had the car fixed that evening and notified me it was ready for pick up; did not have to call them. They have a 3 year warranty and road side assist if the repair fails on the road. They had all of the bad parts for me and my coffee cup that i forgot the day before. They explained what was wrong and how the repair was done. The cost was reasonable and they repaired the problem to my complete satisfaction. Rachelle is the friendliest person and makes the trip there worth while. They are a great organization taking auto repair service to a new level.
