The staff at this store are very rude and aren’t knowledgeable about the products they provide. I will never return to this store to be mistreated somewhere that I patronize. There are several beauty supply stores in the area and online that demonstrate exceptional customer service, this is NOT one of those places.

This is my favorite beauty supply in the 919. The staff is always friendly and they have the best selection of braiding hair that I’ve seen in the area.

The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN ALL OF RALEIGH!!! Wal-Mart has NOTHING ON this place. Pros: Big Variety/selection of products and unique items. Now the Cons: The Ladies ox this shop act like they HATE their jobs and HATE dealing with the public. They never speak to you when you walk in and have the nerve to watch and follow you secretly around while you shop. I think they don’t care about how they treat you because they feel like people will ALWAYS continue to keep coming there to shop. I hope one day it will change before they end up having to SHUT down … A word to the owner Yes you have good merchandise but what will keep customers coming back for more will be the FRIENDLY customer service…and that is what this store Lacks

I was not impressed with the customer service when I needed to exchange an item that I bought yesterday, but never opened. What does Covid have to do with unopened edge control? Although I’ve spent hundreds of dollars in this store, I won’t be back based on principle.

Thank you for having an array of wigs that were conveniently located on shelves looking very professional. Im so done with beauty shops where there are boxes of braiding hair in front of the counter & you cant get to the wigs or cant see the back of it. You had affordable prices & a knowledgeable employee 💯💋👌🏾❤️🦱

Good customer service typically means providing timely, attentive, upbeat service to a customer, and making sure their needs are met in a manner that reflects positively on the company or business. This store is lacking good customer service,especially at the register. The customer shopping at this establishment is how you get paid. I think people forget that. The customer didnt choose the job for you, you chose to go work there. Life is too short to be rude!

Came here w my mom for the first time and I had a worker following me around the whole store. I was just tryna see what they had (which was expensive hair products I could get cheaper at Walmart or target). Do they think we can’t notice someone is following us, made me never want to come again because I can’t even browse in peace.

The overhead music was ABSOLUTELY DESPICABLE!!!! The disrespect and vulgarity blasting was too much. In the 5 minutes i was there i heard the N-WORD AND B-WORD along with what they would like to do with a female which i find very unprofessional for a place of business with diverse clientele. Definitely dont bring your mom or kids here or the other location which i went to last weekend and heard the same filth! I guess not a bit of respect is given as long as they are getting the money!! PROFESSIONALS AND THE CLIENTELE THAT KEEPS THEM IN BUSINESS DESERVE BETTER!! Please take heed!!

Did not honor black friday hours as posted. Im here at 5 am and they are not open. It says theyll be doing 30% off wigs from midnight til noon. I left work early to get here!

This store is pathetic. I went there to purchase a wig. I took a pic of the wig and told the guy I wanted the exact same wig, color 1B. I drive 5mins back home, only to realize that the wig is a color 2 (dark brown). I called them to ask can I switch it out for 1B. The lady tells me that was the last wig left and I cant get a refund or exchange it (so I wasted $100 dollars). I dont understand why I couldnt exchange it since I literally just left the store. This store doesnt value their customers. They literally have every item wrap in scotch tape. We really need to stop giving this people our money and build our own black owned beauty store.

90% of the customers are people of color. However, I saw absolutely no people of color working there. I had a difficult time locating items. No one offered assistance.

The music played in this store is inappropriate and nasty. I was embarrassed just listening to it and I’m fairly young. I’m glad I didn’t have my kids with me. The young girls at the counter were more concerned about what they were going to do after their shift was over.

They always have what I need.

I love the store but I think they need more training and more customer service skills. They are getting better. They dont follow you around as much but you have to find help. Overall they are trying to improve.

What I like about them is that they do have some products that other beauty supply stores doesnt have, but a lot of the main items they dont carry.

I am a small business owner of a natural hair product brand went in today talked to the manager she was very nonchalant and stated that they do not support or carry local business brands. I asked even if the company is insured she said no we only use big distribution companies. Need better management with better attitudes.

Its true. The worse customer service Ive had ever. I was just thrown out of the store and told to never come back. I admit I was irate but they were all over me. Its not the first time theyve treated me less than. They do have a good selection with good prices but they walk up and down the aisles while youre trying to shop. They are so rude especially if you want to try on a wig.. They watch you like a hawk. As soon as you pick up something they come to you and say something like if you open it you have to buy it. Its so uncomfortable And upsetting.

Their website states that they open at noon on Sunday’s. I came to find out that it was 1pm. I waited along with several other people who came and thought the same thing. When they opened at 1pm, I showed the lady the screen shot and other immediately said, y’all might want to change your website. Instead of the lady stating, apologize for the misunderstanding but 1 is the correct time or even saying thank you for waiting... her response was “ oh well it’s 1 and you can shop or leave”...if I had not have waited, nor was on my way back out of town I would not have spent my money. They will never get mine nor any woman any in family’s hard earned money again. There are too many other stores to spend money at got one to be nasty and not respect people’s time

The customer service is poor. I came in to purchase hair products and gave them $100 bill. The cashier asked me to go to a store and get change. I could not believe what I was hearing. There was no sign that stated “No $100 bills excepted. This is poor customer service. I did not feel welcomed as I come to this store often to purchase hair products. I am not a happy customer.

Manager needs to check her attitude. Customers outside of the store talking about how nasty her attitude is. I personally would not have purchased anything from there period. You know how many hair store are in this area. If they have nasty attitude dont give them your money. I love I Beauty off of Capital Blvd.

This store advertises to so called African Americans and even have some working for them BUT when I went to purchase products, they had to walk it to the counter. I declined but the worker was adamant so I read between the lines and told him I dont steal. After voicing my concerns to the manager, she stated they are a full service store which is why they bring it to the counter on your behalf. In other words, they dont trust you until they get your money and then the full services stops. I guess full service starts in the back room where he went to get the products I requested too. Why are your mid price products not out for me to chose for myself? Also, they play music from a station not listened to by the people they advertise too but yet the manager stated they cater to ALL people. Why do you not have other races plastered in your window then? Lady, look at the strip mall you are in and tell me if any other nationality is shopping in your store? Please so called African Americans stop shopping in stores that dont care about you but want ONLY your money. I am tired of my people being treated like thieves and robbers. How dare you insult us as fools!!!!

Ive been going there for majority of my beauty supplies or hair care products. The staff have been exceptional each time, if you need help finding something they assist you and often give advice on the better product. Kudos to your staff, they are very professional.

This store has 8:00 pm on its website as a closing time and I went there at 7:52 pm, I met a lady at the door who told me that they are closed and I asked her if they dont go by the time on their website and she said no they have changed their closing time. On the other hand, the manager told me that it was already 8:00 on their clock which is not true, very bad management

Do Not Purchase From Here! Or Please doublecheck your prices as they are being rung up and PRIOR to you paying. They overcharged me on two different products, of which I did not realize until reviewing my receipt outside. I simply went in to be reimbursed and the racist Heifer had the audacity to say they could charge anything they wanted regardless of what the sticker prices showed. HUH? SAY WHAT NOW & COME AGAIN??? Needless to say after a few choice words for her I got my money back without having to dig it out of one of their behinds! What kind of business does or says that. I dont care if they are the last beauty supply left in town, I will make my own products 1st before EVER patronizing these people again! This is not a one off situation, each time I have visited, the same heifer (fat round face latin one with glasses) is being rude to someone. I usually go to the beauty supply store(s), yes plural stores, in Mini City. The last couple of times being in that shopping center, I almost got robbed, groped, my car stolen and been treated like a lower class citizen in the actual stores. They treat you like you are stealing and that is plain ridiculous. So I got tired of it. I went to Carolina Beauty just to check it out. First visit I found what I was looking for, which isnt at the other supply stores and the people selling to me looked like me and UNDERSTAND what I needed. And when they didnt, they asked me to come in once my hair is done and show them what the results are. They actually were excited to see the results. This is where I shop from now on. Ignore the other reviews, this is the one that is sincere.

This place is HORRIBLE!!!! The customer service sucks. The manager Yo-Yo(yeah I know) is unprofessional and very very rude! I really doubt that was her real name by the way! It just goes to show how unprofessional this establishment is. She was a heavy set female (maybe Spanish or she could have been Asian) I am assuming; she wore glasses.In case anyone is reading this please be aware of her nasty unprofessional attitude! I purchased an item for $26.00 dollars. When attempting to leave the alarm went off so I was told to come back to check my bag. I went back, the cashier checked my bag and I was free to leave only to asked to come back to have my bag checked again!! I told YO-YO(yeah I know) She expected me to pull every item out of my purse! I told her I was not pulling all of my items out of my purse to see what exactly was making the alarm go off! I don’t have to take anytime from any store especially when I have credit cards with no limits! I gave her permission to go through my purse to find whatever it was that was beeping, an old cocoa butter lotion bottle! I find this action uncalled for, it made me feel like a criminal and it was over the top!! If these beauty supply places want the BLACK dollar I suggest you start treating your majority BLACK customer base with some respect!!

Beware of misleading signs in this business that indicate specific prices for specific products that are not honored at the register. Management is aware of false advertisements but will not take signs down.

If I could rate this place with ZERO stars, I would. The customer service is absolutely horrible. No one speaks to you when you walk in (everyone is busy texting on their cell phones). I was in the wig department for a good 10 minutes before someone even noticed that I was there. The young lady answered a few questions that I had, but quickly caught an attitude when I asked her to pull a few wigs down for me. After stating that I didnt like one, she said in a snappy voice, Ill get someone else to help you. The young man came back to where I was and began texting on his cell phone. He never said a word and never offered to assist. I drove from Durham because of their huge selection of wigs. I wrote down the names of the pieces I liked and walked out of the store. I will never spend a dime of my money, nor waste my gas to return. THESE PEOPLE ARE RUDE!!!

I just left this establishment and was very disappointed. I wanted to purchase some jewelry for an event. I asked for help. They directed me to go to the jewelry case and someone would be with me shortly. There was no line of customers anywhere in the store. I waited and no one came. One of the employees passed me and did not acknowledge me. So I ended up walking out in disgust. They’re selections aren’t as great as I’d hoped and no one even greets you when u walk in. I pray no one else deals with this place. They will never get my money or anyone that I know business. This was a horrible experience. I will never shop Carolina Beauty ever again!!!! Stay away from Carolina Beauty on New Bern Avenue!

Poor customer service, customers do NOT come first. They dont close at 8pm, they lock the doors 15 minutes early so that their employees can LEAVE at 8pm. Please dont have an emergency and race to get there before 8pm....theyre already closed. SMH There are plenty of other beauty stores that want my business, going now.

Me and my friend were in there Saturday and the cashier is always really nice, she has blonde hair and a slim girl. We were checking out and my friend swiped her card and it did not work so we told her to do it again and I am assuming the lady that walked over was a manager. Kind of heavy set lady with glasses and she was so nasty and said its not our machine its your car! so my friend just used her credit card and then we left. We then went to B0jangles and Carly Cs after and she had no problem with her car.I like the hair that this store carries but some of the people that work there are horrible. There are a few that are extremely nice but a majority of them are hateful. The heavy set lady that came over real nasty I have had problems with her in the past and thats why this store is always my last choice when I am looking for hair.I see they are not responding to any reviews up here so they probably dont care but I wanted to post anyway.....

I notice change when I inquired about hair price for crochet...lady stated sorry, we cant give prices over the phone because of competition. 🙄Ok...this afternoon (November 26th, 2017)...I needed Vaseline & oil moisturizer. They were opened 1-6pm. I walked in and theres NO type of welcome & ALL the girls were just standing/sitting at the front counter. When I asked for the Vaseline, the lady responded in a non-chalant voice :aisle 10 at the end. Got my Vaseline and oil moisturizer and went to the check out and the same lady said is that all? and proceeded to check the items out. I paid for it and she just gives the bag & receipt. Im walking out the door and NO come back/have a nice day from NONE of the ladies ...NOTHING!!!...And prices are high! tiny ass Vaseline for $3.00!!!BAD attitude and HIGH prices. I will NOT miss this place. Take my hard work earned money to another beauty supply. BYE!!!✌️✌️✌️

Worst beauty supply store ever you cant exchange nothing and its absolutely no refund policy for nothing in the store as well I went get some gease for my daughter left out the store to go outside to show my husband to make sure it was the correct brand went back inside the store to exchange it for the correct one and the clerk said its no exchange policy for chemicals since when is gease chemicals never again will I shop to a place where can exchange I pretty sure they have cameras on the outside of the building and they seen me standing right outside in front of the store smh never again

Never will i ever come back here!!!! They are so unprofessional. I had a flat iron to spark on me and she gave me the same exact flat iron back. Then, she thought I was going to purchase a new one because they dont exchange. I just spent over $100 in this store the other day and she treat me; as a customer like crap. I was really disappointed by the way yoyo handled me. So i politely put the flat iron away and walked out, because i had to realize some people are really not for you theyre for your money. I understand its a business, but people dont take well to ass holes.
