The owner blatantly lied to us to make a sale. He told us he would order new handles for our fridge if we purchased it ... We did and we have had nothing but issues since. The brand new fridge has had to be serviced more than once. It was not under warranty because it was purchased by the owner under less than ideal conditions (per the person that had to come and fix it) even though the owner assured us it was covered. Now weve had it a year and it leaks and the freezer door doesnt work correctly.

They are the worst. They dont honor their own warranty. Theyll tell you the warranty is good for a year if something happens within the year theyll charge you $60.00 to pay a repair man. They came took out one washer and replaced it however the replacement washer leaked water all over my kitchen. They have came and picked up the replacement washer with nothing to replace it with at this point dont know when theyll be bringing another one. I wouldnt recommend no one to purchase anything from this place.

This is the worst place you can go to. Poor customer service and rude people. Also all the items in the store are highly priced. Please save your trip don’t go there. I went to a place in Cary where I received excellent customer service and I bought a washer for a decent price with free installation and a smile.

If I can post 0 stars I would. Guaranteed dryer didnt work. Couldnt get anyone to come out to fix it. They wont return it. Had to buy another dryer from someone else. I bought from a company for the guarantee. Guarantee is worthless. Wasted time and money when used dryers are cheap to free.

It’s a shame that when you purchase items from them and they claim and out right lie about delivery times and dates. They take your money and then tell you every excuse under the sun of why they can’t deliver when they promise to deliver. I have heard one story after another and still no delivery of the product I paid for and on top of it they are RUDE!!!!!!!!!

We bought a brand new Maytag washer and dryer and a brand new Samsung refrigerator here. We also paid for the delivery. The delivery men were late and didnt have a problem cursing in front of my children. They also said the fridge needed a water line not provided, and if we didnt run to Lowes to buy one and install it asap, the fridge could be damaged once plugged in. It would have been good to know this ahead of time, but the owner did not inform us.On top of that, the washing machine had a broken water valve, discovered by the delivery men as soon as it was taken out of the box. We had to wait 10 days for the repair man to fix it after calling Discount City. A few days later, the washing machine stopped actually washing. Again, when making an appointment, the repair man wouldnt be able to come for another 10 days. I stayed home all day waiting for the repair man, and because he called my husband while he was at work (and therefore didnt answer right away), the repair man never showed up. Repair man said he would not knock on the door if we did not answer his phone call first. We are now having to wait another week before even seeing the repair man after calling the manufacturer again. Again, this was a brand new washing machine, not much cheaper than Lowes or Home Depot.Discount City cannot be counted on for reliable machines, and they do not return broken appliances.

UPDATE 7/12/21 Still have not received any contact from this store..*********ZERO STARS*********We bought a refurbished washer & dryer, it was delivered a day late. I go to use the washer 2 days later, it worked but stopped twice during the cycle where you have to turn the washer off & then back on to continue. Did a couple of loads & it did the same thing. My husband contacted the store & they said they would switch it out, that took 5 weeks to be done. Another washer with the same problem & now the dryer won’t heat. I stopped by the store 6/17/21 & spoke with a gentleman as the owner was out of state. I told the gentleman that both the washer & dryer were not working, he took my information & said he would speak with the owner. On 6/23/21 I call the store & speak with the same gentleman, he said he didn’t get to speak with the owner yet but his plan was to change out both the washer and washer on Saturday 6/26/21. Guess what?? Today 7/3/21 I still have not even received a phone call back from this place. Ibrahim (owner) goes out of state & leaves someone in charge that cannot make any decisions. What a poor way to run a business!I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS STORE TO ANYONE!!!

Asked if I needed help while I was on a call. I gestured that I was on a call and she rolled her eyes. Then I went to look at some appliances she called out to me and said I wasnt allowed to walk and talk on the phone for safety reasons. That I can stand still and talk on the phone if I wanted to. So I walked away because I found it odd.

Zero stars would be too many. The product was defective, and the service was beyond awful. The didnt come to 2 separate installation appointments, when the store manager came late at night to install, the dishwasher leaked a day later.My home warranty repairman showed me the bent leg that meant the unit would never work right. The store refused to stand by the product they claimed they fully tested.Steer well clear of this place. What they promise is not what they produce.

We bought a pair of Maytag industrial washer & dryer. We bought the pair with the few visible dents and dings. A Hispanic/ Latino lady (the owners wife) hung around us but wasnt helpful as she said she didnt speak English.This retail family owned business sells mostly matching pairs of washer/dryers, but also refrigerators too. The business does offer delivery, but we picked our set up the same evening.The owner was more helpful and hes the one that actually repaired the machines. We got a 30 day warranty (on their letterhead spelling out the specifics of the warranty. My fiance bought the set in March 2019 and the dryers just started to take forever to dry.Maybe something as simple as replacing the element. My only advice is, just like with ANY major purchase new or used, save all the paperwork tied to it!! Its important for warranty issues, insurance issues and possibly parts as well.

Like other people who have posted here, I wish that I had heeded the negative reviews. I thought that the negative posts were mostly for refurbished appliances and issues with deliveries. Since I was going to pick up a brand new appliance, I thought I would have a positive experience. Boy, was I wrong.First, the store was closed even though it was the middle of a weekday afternoon and the Open light in the storefront window was open. I called Ibrahim and he told me he was literally 5 minutes away. 15 minutes later, he finally arrived.Before coming to the store, I had communicated with Ibrahim directly about the air conditioning unit I was looking for. He gave me the model number and told me that I could pick up the unit any time at either store. The unit he had for sale in the store had a completely different model number and was not at all what I needed. He had sold the units in the ad I had responded to weeks ago. Classic bait and switch.Needless to say, I will not be doing business with Ibrahim or this store, no matter how good the deal appears to be.

The communication over the phone was terrible. I work, so I need a time frame better than 1-7 pm. we WORKED IT OUT. Danny and his helper were great. Thanks guys.

I bought a refurbished Washer and Dryer a month ago ( march 26th )and neither one worked. Ive been running back and forth to the store for a replacement, receiving the response from Ibrahim Ive got you on the schedule so soon but youve got to wait your turn. Im told that they honor their replacement policy. Customer Service is the Worst ! Maybe my turn will come before the one year warranty is up and that becomes the reason for no replacement . Up Date on the service Ive received. I went to the store this morning May 6th and spoke with Ibrahim and he told me hes got one ready and That I would have to take down this review before he deliver it and I politely told him to deliver my Washer and Ill take it down as if that would change the customer service rating . My obligation as a buying customer has been filled .....

Not even worth ONE star. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service. Bought a brand new fridge it was delivered and the ice/water maker did not work. They did NOT even check it before they left after installation. Called the place, was hung up on 4 times and told they would NOT do a refund. I paid over 1700 for something that does not work with no refund. Even though the receipt says it can be return in 7 days. I would recommend never using this company. They should be closed down...i have called the better business and i have contacted 5 on your side to hopefully do a story about this JOKE of a business.

Bought a brand new Maytag washer here. When it was delivered it was broken. They told us we had to talk to Maytag to get it fixed. After 2 appointments of them trying to fix it, it still doesnt wash clothes. I called this place back to return it and they said since we had let the warranty people work on it, as they told us, now we cant return it. Dont buy anything from these people.

I placed an order for a stacked washer/dryer. I paid the money, and I found out that they did not have the item in stock. They said they would hold onto my money for awhile until they got something in stock, I asked them to cancel the order and return my money. A week later I called them again, and asked them to cancel my order and return my money. It has been 15 days and I have not seen a refund of my order.

We have purchased a Frigidaire dishwasher from you and had it installed by Ibrahim. Everything went great and we love our dishwasher. Any time we need anything else, we will go to them, for sure. The install went pretty easy and he was very pleasant and informed about the appliance.

I made a purchase wed 08/26/20 a new washer and dryer and was told merchandise was going to be delivered the following week, I call Wednesday 09/02/20 to fallow up on the delivery was told I was on schedule for Thursday 09/03/20 good, when my washer and dryer arrive at my house I notice the washer had a few scratches and dents that fine with me, I ask the delivery guy are they new three times he said yes they are, I look on the dryer pipe and notice there was dirt on it and open it, came to the conclusion it was not a new dryer, I call the store the owner very rude said ooh they did not arrive so I send you a loaner till yours arrive, I totally did not agree because he should’ve call me and keep me notice of the situation, I ask when will the new one arrive? very rude he said I don’t know I cannot predict the future some day next week, I send them back and when back to the store for my money, first they did not arrive on time I had to call the store, I was told they were new by the delivery guy I can imagine what would happen if I did not notice they were use, owner was super rude over the phone nothing like the person that I meet at the store the time of purchase, and then when I stop at the store for my money rude again he did not wanted to return my money said I hade to pay another $90+$50 for the delivery because I returned the merchandise, I had to call the police to make a report and not till the police got there, then he returned the money, I do not recommend these store worse experience.

This place deserve 0 stars!!! I honestly dont see how they are still in business. I purchased a used washer & dryer back in January 2019. The delivery guys could not speak much English so it was little to no communication. After they left I turned the dry on and it was knocking as if a shoe was moving around in it. So they did come back to fix that. About 1 month later screws started falling out of the dryer which made the casing loose. I called they promise to come out on 3 different occasions and no one ever came. They didnt even have enough respect to call and say they was not coming. I missed work each day for nothing. Then recently on Monday my washer stopped working. I have a 1 year warranty so I called the store and was told they would come out this week but would not give me an exact day and time. So my husband called back and the guy said he would come between 5-8 on Thursday (which was yesterday) Said he was the owner and he would take care of this himself. Around 7:15 I called to make sure someone was coming and the guy answered the phone and said, we are close call back in the morning. Which was insane because you have an appointment to come service my washer. No matter what I said his response was to call back in the morning. Then when calling back this morning, my husband was advised the owner will be in tomorrow. Still no repairs have been done and this company doesnt appear to even be concerned. On top of this is a holiday weekend and I am without a working washer. Its a shame that these people do not have any respect for others time nor do they have any business ethics. People do not waste your money trying to support this local owned business. Go somewhere that value your business and honors your warranty. Do not and I repeat DO NOT support this business it is absolutely horrible!!!!!!!!

SUCH terrible service. We bought a washer with a warranty and within a month the spin cycle stopped working. We called for about two weeks trying to contact someone with no response and then when we finally did get someone on the phone they tried to trouble shoot via the phone instead of actually come out to fix the issue after we begged to come. They then told us they only work at night (who only works at night???) so they would only be able to come at 7pm in the next several weeks. We are having to get another company to come out since this place doesnt honor their bogus warranty. Please dont make the mistake we did by buying an appliance from this joke of a company.

All the employees I interacted with were very nice, helpful, and gave clear information. There was a slight issue with how the washer was initially installed; when I called for a repair, they sent someone to fix it the same day, free of charge. They honored the warranty and made sure everything was working properly.

BUYER BEWARE! Don’t buy from here! Sold me a ‘new’ Frigidaire Refrigerator in Sept of 2019. The compressed went out in April of 2020. Called to use the 1 year warranty they promised and they directed me directly to Frigidaire for the warranty. When I called the manufacturer they let me know there was NO warranty in place because someone else registered it in January of 2019. The refrigerator I bought as new was really pre-owned! They refused to help me and now I’m out the money for that refrigerator and the expense of a new one!

I purchased a dryer from 99¢ & Appliance Center. It didnt run properly and was dirty, oily, and had lint from the previous user. I called the 99¢ store and was directed to take the dryer to the guy at Discount City because, Hes higher than me. No name given, even after being asked. I took the dryer there and had a yelling match with who I assume was Abraihm. I just wanted my money back! I was told I couldnt have my $ back until his tech looked at the machine. That the tech would be there by noon. I told him I WAS returning at 3 and would call the police if need be. I returned at 3, apologized to the girl that worked there for getting loud and explained to her that he wouldnt shut his yap long enough for me to explain what the problem was. I then mentioned speaking to the assistant attorney general. Suddenly, the man appeared and instructed the girl to call, T at 99¢ & Appliance and give me a refund even though his tech hadnt come in. Then I was reading these reviews and a woman said HE repaired the machines!LIES, LIES, SHADY, LIES!That man was rude and highly disrespectful. I got the feeling that it was because I was a woman.The girl that works there was very professional and handled herself like a merchant should. Im SO glad I never have to deal with these men again!RUN!! FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! ITS JUST NOT WORTH THE HASSLE!!

I bought a washer and dryer from this place on May 19. It was delivered and about a week later i learned that my water pressure may be too low for the type of washer so i asked Abriham to pick the washer back up to be tested in their store to make sure. It took two weeks to pick it up and 4 days of me calling for them to tell me that the washer was working fine. After more days of “we don’t have any more washers in yet” i asked for my original washer back. Weeks went by and i was told the washer was “on the truck for delivery” on Friday. By the next week of no delivery, i was told that the washer was “accidentally sent back to Samsung” (which makes no sense because it was working fine so they say) and it’ll be weeks before i can get it back. After weeks of no washer, they finally send me a old, dirty washer to hold me over until i get my Samsung back. On July 15 i was told the Samsung did not come with the batch of washers they had and i agreed to getting a whole different set so i can be done with these people. It is now July 22...and i have not gotten it back yet and I’ve been lied to, ignored, given attitude since May because THEY are in the wrong. Please, never get anything from this place. They are so unprofessional and i have had to get a lawyer involved!

BUYER BEWARE! bought a new washer dryer set and fridge. I also paid for delivery and install. They forgot my delivery the first time and had to reschedule. Then, the new appliances had HUGE dents in them when they arrived! The delivery portion was HORRIBLE. Two men came and asked for my help (I am pregnant and paid for delivery for this reason). Since they had to do it without my help, they scratched my wood floors and did not even bring the items to hook it up! The delivery guys were so unprofessional and were cursing up a storm in my home! I called the owner to complain and he proceeded to cursing me out as well. What a horrible experience. To top it all off, the fridge does not work properly and the dryer is already overheating. It has been 2 days since drop off....

We went to the Discount City off of Rogers lane by the food lion to buy a used fridge, we were surprised they had more than just appliances, this place got everything. The staff was very helpful during the whole process, we got our fridge delivered the same day, which you can’t get this anywhere, my fridge went down the night before and I needed a fridge right away, they promised to deliver it the same day, we got it the same afternoon. I just like to thank them for helping us out, we were able to save our food .

The customer service is AWFUL and Im ready to just be done with the dryer. I would never suggest anyone purchase from this company. I bought a matress from them we later found out that it was not a new mattress it had been refurbished no one new that it was refurbished so they replaced it with a brand new more expensive mattress no charge not only did he replace it but he replaced and i had the refurbished one for a year he made it right. I usually never write bad reviews but I don’t want this to happen to anyone else. I bought a washer from Discount City in January, which came with a one year warranty. In March, there was an issue admittedly no fault of Discount City. They came out and replaced the water pump. Later that night I noticed about an inch of water in my living room (washer is on the second floor) and water damage on the ceiling of the first floor. I called them immediately to make them aware of the issue since they were the last ones to touch the washer. They denied any responsibility. It turns out that the drain hose was either knocked out or never put back into the drain causing water to spill everywhere. I had a contractor come out for an estimate of the damages and discount city, again, refused responsibility. I understand accidents happen, but these people refused to even help me with an issue that was caused by their negligence. They told me I can’t prove it so they won’t help. They told me to take it up with my homeowners policy, which doesn’t cover water damage. I don’t know how you can run a business with these values, or lack there of..

Would give 10 stars if I could. Really different then any other discount appliance store in the area! Super professional and fast. Had a wonderful washer at an amazing price delivered and set up within 2hrs of calling. I didn’t even have to leave my house. They sent pictures and even FaceTimed. Absolutely awesome! I bought a new Samsung front loading washer/dryer set with pedestals, paid all up front including delivery charges. The installation was wrong. First the pedestals didnt match, which actually I decided the contrast was ok. But they broke the clamps that hold the pedestals to the machines AND did not screw them to hold them. I now have all kinds of problems and Samsung technician said installer must correct. After informing these people, they have not returned any effort to correct this glaringly perverse status! After 4 months now, and many, many calls, they still have not been able to correct the situation. I still have a badly out of balance washer and a rocking dryer. The lousy installer is supposed to correct this? Right.

We were supposed to receive a new washer dryer that was 70% off but when it arrived it was dented in 3-4 different places. They made it sound like it was our fault for buying new items at 70% off. Do not easily trust these positive reviews because I highly doubt they will do anything to replace this if the other NEGATIVE reviews are correct.

Im actually a repeat customer from when they were in Tower Shopping Center and at their location on Hillsborough St. As of 2 weeks ago, thus is My third set and they totally ripped me off. Clothes come out dripping wet. Even after an extra spin cycle. Called and the owner came out. Stayed 5 minutes. Still not working. May as well still be going to laundromat. Single mom. Dont have time or money to waste.

We used Discount City Inc to fix the dishwasher, it is quite old and we thought we should just buy a new one, but the tech recommended to replace the broken parts and keep it. Already 6 months we haven`t any problems with the dishwasher since the repair. Excellent Appliance Store!

This is the worst service ever, what they do is buy appliances from Lowe’s and resale them so it voids the warranty. I have text messages to prove it. I have spent hours on the phone with lg and been going back and forth the this guy. This guy is not a authorized dealer. I just brought it in August and 2 months later it is broken.... I purchased a Kenmore elite dryer mid (June or July )last year and it’s not workin now .. I went there to tell the owner ..he said his name was Abraham .. gave me a run around and said they would call me never did.. I wouldn’t buy another thing from there..

I purchased a refrigerator. It stopped working two days after installation. The owner refuses to help me; he told me there is a “no refund” policy. I wonder why? Because none of his appliances work so once he gets your money you are a non-priority. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

I have had the worst experience with Discount City. I purchased a washing machine and it was making a noise. I called Discount City to let them know what was going on and was told someone would call to schedule the service call. I never received a call. I had to make several calls before the owner came out. The customer service is very poor they do not follow up with you. You have a 1 year warranty with washing machines but good luck getting it serviced.

I dont understand why the place is still in operation, why havent the better business bureau are someone stepped up to shut this place down, and beware Acima credit in on the game also, they havent shut him down because only the working class and poor go there or order online. He has nice appliances online, but thats not what I got delivered, I got rusty, leaky, dirty appliances,. Worst place do not shop here i bought a washer and dryer for 1,600 dollars with a year of warranty the washer stopped working and i called them and they told me they call and never did !!! the costumer service is terrible they dont treat you with respect worst place !!!!!!!! and now they have been ignoring my calls !!! i am going to sue this place becuase i have proof of the warranty and how they have been ignoring and not doing what they said they would ! and also when they installed the washer and dryer they did dents on them and they didnt even say at least sorry !

Don’t waste your time buying nothing from this guy I have a problem with him and since day one is sold me a broken machine took him months to give me a replacement now the replacement it’s not working right and I went to talk to him and he was like if you want another one you have to buy another one and when he sold it he told me that all the machines come with One year warranty don’t waste your time go somewhere else.

TRUST the BAD REVIEWS! Very unprofessional, uncouth attitude, and negligent. Long story short, they will avoid and come up with every excuse and reason not to repair. If they refuse to take it back, drop the junk off at their front door.

Very bad after sales customer support. My electricity bill now is very high because the dryer is taking more than 1 hour to dry the cloths and they have visited several times to fix but the issue still exists.

I wish I would have read the reviews first. I bought a dryer from this company and four months later it stops working. The guy comes to my house to look at it and changed the timing belt and its still not working properly. Never again!!!😡😡😡.

Discount City Inc are true professionals, identified the problem, fixed it, educated us on appliances in general, and responded to our service request very quickly. I would call Discount City Inc for any appliance sales and support in the future.

Do not buy anything from this place! All employees are rude and their refurbished appliances dont work. I bought a washer and dryer in September of 2021,have had issue after issue, to then be blamed that I intentionally went into the dryer and broke it! It is now November 2021 and I still have not yet been able to get them to replace their faulty appliances. I have already contacted the BBB about these people so hopefully they will not be open much longer to do this to people.

What they sell has many, damaged and then they give you a price and you end up paying another. I bought a washing machine and Im not happy with it, that thing does not work. I do not buy anything again, no appliance in that place, I prefer to buy second hand or complete all the money and buy it Cash at lowes or home depot.I wish I had read before buying in this place. Its garbage what they sell.
