Our family of 5 shared the largest size shave ice and added ice cream to the middle and a snocap (condensed milk) and it was amazing! We could barely all finish it. Love that the tables have cup holders cut into them to hold the shave ice cups -- came in handy with our shared cup.and little children (no major spills!). It wasnt busy when we came too (4p) so it was chill.

There are a lot of little snow cone shops here in Utah. Not so many that I consider legitimate shaved ice like the refreshing treat I fell in love with in Hawaii. HOKULIA SHAVE ICE is the real thing. Literally shaved from a block of ice using a sharp blade which creates an Ice that is more coarse and more substantial than the snow that others offer. They have 50 different flavors that you can choose from as toppings with 1000s of combinations.I ordered the smaller cup and it was a lot to eat. Such a tasty way to experience brain freeze. I enjoyed every bite and recommend without reservation.

I dont have a ton of experience in the snow cone company rating world... Ive only tried a few companies.. but this place seems to do it right.. Fast and friendly service.. Dont let lines that look long discourage you. They work fast.. Tons of great flavors. I suggest trying a snow cone of your favorite flavor Island style with some ice cream inside.. Yummy..

Super cute and pretty fast service! The shaved ice is really soft and not crunchy at all. It just melts in your mouth and it has a huge variety of flavors.

Took 30 minutes to get a small. We were only second in line and so it’s not like it was super busy. The workers were just standing around eating inside and talking.

We LOVEEE Hokulia! After living in Hawaii for a few years this is the closest I have found to the real deal. We come more than we should! Snowcones are easily my favorite treat and although it was chilly outside it was such a nice dessert. The girl who rang us up was super sweet and they got us out our snowcones incredibly fast! I always get my snowcone with ice cream and the snow cap and it makes it so creamy and delicious 🤤🍧

My favorites place for shaved ice! It’s nice smooth ice with no chunks. They have great flavors and I love adding the ice cream or snow cap to my shaved ice. The portions are large and you can easily share the larger sizes. They also now have pints of ice cream to take home.

I got a Longboard—it was awesome! AlottaColatta tasted GREAT. Don’t forget to add the ice cream option—I had vanilla and it is really good. Definitely going back. BTW the tables are arranged for social distancing and the servers wear masks and gloves.

Mmmmm! So good. I love the texture (frozen cotton candy :D), flavors, portion sizes, and prices.--It would be nice if you could get flavor options without all the food dyes/colors though.... Is that a possibility for the future? Or get ones with natural dyes/colors? Is that a thing yet?

Hokulia is the BEST place to get snow cones in Utah, hands-down! The texture is so fine and smooth, and you never get any large chunks of ice.This location is awesome as well, because its not on a very busy road and there is always plenty of parking and seating.

This place used to be so good and welcoming. I was excited to go for the summer after not having it for a while. But sadly, I was strongly disappointed.The customer service was exceptionally awful at the Provo location (May 25th). Obviously something has to change. Every time I go all the employees can do is give judgmental stares and make you feel like you aren’t supposed to be there. Girls give attitude and talk to there friends in n out of the trailer in between making snow cones and you wonder why the wait is long! It would be nice if the employees actually smiled and seemed to enjoy working here instead of just gossiping the whole time. I’m only giving it one star to show and express how bad the customer service is.

If you like authentic Hawaiian shaved ice, then this is your place. The flavors are varied and the extra toppings are great. There is a nice choice of sizes for one or to share. The service is efficient and prices are fair. There is a fun area with picnic tables and benches to sit, wait, and enjoy. They even provide water to rinse sticky hands or quench your thirst.

Hokulia Shaved ice is my #1 favorite place to stop for a summer snack. To begin with, the shaved ice is much more pleasant to eat than typical granular sno-cone ice, but Hokulia goes even further by providing customers with upwards of 50 unique flavors. I have the summer goal to try every one and after visiting at least 6 times and trying at least two flavors every time, I feel like Ive only barely scratched the surface.An important note: the sizes are very large. The boogie board (the smallest size) is more than large enough for both my girlfriend and I to share. If youd like a smaller size than that, you can ask for a childs size. If I were to go alone, thats the size I would request.

They have the BEST shaved ice. I also love how big they are, you get a decent amount for the price. They also have a lot of great add-ons. This is one of my favorite places to visit in the summer.

I’ve been going to this location for couple years. The ice is good. Flavors are solid.Only complaint is actually a really common issue at this location. It just takes forever. Expect to wait 40 min if it’s busy. If there is one employee and busy it will be faster to go to the Orem location. I went last Saturday at 12:45pm and there was only one employee making about 15 orders, while taking new orders. Definitely not her fault. But you think that there should at least be 2 employees on a hot Saturday at the end of May???????? Once we waited 40 min (still only one employee) we had to leave and asked for a refund. Luckily the employee was making it and we were able to leave.

I got a tigers blood & coconut shaved ice and it was delicious! I went at a pretty busy time on a Saturday, so there was a little bit of a wait but they had a lot of seating for everyone and most tables had umbrellas for some shade. My shaved ice was much bigger than I thought it would be! I definitely recommend getting it sno capped. So yummy!!! Perfect to beat the summer heat.

So I am pretty late in the season to post a review but it’s all for the best!!! All summer long my sister and I wanted shaved ice frequently. And this is the BEST place anywhere!!! Their flavors taste amazing and they have an astounding selection of flavors as well. The wait is long occasionally but it is well worth it! My favorite and go to flavor is Blue Hawaii with coconut ice cream! Oh my, I crave it! I’ve been going to Hokulia’s for a few years now, but I just moved to Provo in May. Every summer visit to Provo our family HAD to stop here! But now that I live here I can enjoy the BEST shaved ice around whenever I feel like it in the summer. I’m so glad that they made such a wonderful place to create memories and enjoy a delicious treat! Thank you!!!

Really good shaved ice, buy the wait is way too long. You can expect to wait at least 20 minutes up to an hout. This is my third time coming and I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but the speed has not improved. Need more people working to have better service.

Amazing shave ice. You definitely get your moneys worth and the Big Kahuna can be shared between two people. My recommendation is half Blue Hawaii and half Tigers Blood with the sweet and condensed milk on top and ice cream in the middle. You will not regret it!

Whatever you get with a creamy ice scoop in the middle is amazing. Both the ice and the ice cream here is very smooth. Better than I had in Hawaii.

I love the shaved ice SO MUCH but THEYRE SO SLOW. I was so excited to show my friend this place the other day and we came 40 minutes before we had tickets to see a movie, and we kept waiting and waiting and they were nowhere near our order. We decided we had to bail but we had already paid, so we paid for nothing and still missed the beginning of our movie. It was really disappointing.
