If you haven’t tried Brookers Founding Flavors ice cream, now is the time. It sounds crazy to say, but their Candy Corn ice cream is AMAZING!! It tastes like what the inventors of Candy Corn were trying to get the Candy to taste like. It’s everything Candy Corn can’t quite be. Well done, Brookers. Well done.
Unbelievably creamy and rich ice cream, REAL and not artificial tasting (at least all the flavors we tried!). Fun energetic employees in costume, tavern type atmosphere, beautiful Windsor chairs and New England style furniture + Hamilton soundtrack. Loved our shareable dessert for date night: “Nathan Hale’s Regret... That He Has But One Flavor To Give For His Country” (Pistachio ice cream with pistachio pieces), and “Aaron Burr’s Murderous Shot” (Black Madagascar vanilla ice cream). We enjoyed outside for social distancing when we visited in September, can’t wait to come back!
Recommended to me by locals, it was awesome. Paul Reveres Midnight Ride is a must for any chocolate and cookiesncream lovers. A little pricey, but worth trying.
Great ice cream, but it’s pretty expensive, and the portion sizes are pretty small compared to any other once cream place I’ve been to, both for low and high quality product. If the ice cream is as high quality as they say it is, though, it’s probably worth it.The store atmosphere is pretty campy and a bit on-the-nose, but it’s fun every once and a while, and the staff are nice. When I went, there were so many employees scooping ice cream for different customers at the same time that it was pretty chaotic and difficult to tell who was next in line to pay. Nice to have the ice cream right away, but overall a pretty overwhelming experience, to the point that I would rather have had to wait an extra minute.Ultimately I’d say Brooker’s is definitely worth visiting now and then for the ice cream alone, but for the overall experience, it’s not worth visiting regularly, especially for those who get easily overwhelmed. In that case, I’d say order for pickup.
WOW. just wow.this was one of the most amazing ice cream experiences I have ever had. The strawberry guava sorbet was so refreshing and absolutely bonkers. The smoked salted caramel was the perfect balance between creamy and dekoboko. Purely delicious and satisfying! Great customer service as well!! Such friendly colonials! :)
I absolutely loved every flavor I tried! I was bummed only because I make it to Provo so infrequently but this is a definite must-see every time! The employees were very friendly and the line moved quickly, despite the rush we hit. The atmosphere is family- and date-friendly and brings a unique theme of early America to ye olde ice cream shoppe Id never have guessed working, until I saw it with my own eyes. They make fresh waffles cones daily and I loved my chocolate cone 😋 Will be back again and again...And again.
This place is fantastic! The ice cream is delicious and the flavors are unbelievable. I love the Founding Fathers names of the flavors and how creative they each are. I think my favorite part was the employees who were so helpful and so enthusiastic about the product. They were so genuine and proud to work at such a unique place. Loved it!
I used to work at an ice cream store and it is a low key passion of mine to try all flavors of good ice cream. This shop is so much fun and the ice cream is phenomenal! The flavors are unique and they have new ones all the time. The ice cream is so creamy and it’s just so fun to go because they really get into the theme of the place. The workers there are so happy and I love when the owner and his wife come out and talk to the customers. The best flavor is the Alexander Hamilton!
This is some of the smoothest creamiest ice cream Ive ever had. It is a family favorite. Lots of flavors. The peach (which is seasonal) is mind blowing.
Brooker’s is just brilliant. I can walk there easily and I’ve taken friends and dates here. It’s a really fun atmosphere, and the American history theme is so unique, I’m delighted by it every time! They have truly unique and delicious flavors, I always try something different every time I go and I have yet to be disappointed. It’s a little pricier as far as ice cream goes, but paying a little more means you get both high-quality ice cream and a fun experience. I’m a poor college student, but I still go back again and again!
Love this place!! I was sad to find out the drive thru no longer exists because we used it often. When I went yesterday I called and asked if it was still working and they said no but they have curbside so that worked out great for us because we live close and usually like to just take it home to eat. The workers here are always so nice! That’s why this is one of our favorite ice cream places and the service is fast. The place is always packed when we come, yet they still get our order to go done quickly. My family has their favorites they always order - Alexander Hamilton’s Not Throwing away my Scoop (my favorite never disappoints), John Hancock’s Signature Give me Death or Give me Chocolate and for the my little nieces they love Marty Washington’s colonial Cotton Candy! We love the ice cream and toppings at brookers!
Loved it!I had the blackberry and peach. Wasnt sad with either choice and Im not sure howd Id make it better compared to other ice cream Ive tried.Id say dont hesitate to stop by.
Wow! What a great place! Amazing Ice Cream and a fun experience. We were visiting from out of town, but used to live in the area and are telling all our friends to try this place. Yum! Five stars!
I only have good things to say about Brookers! Fun names of the flavors, fun costumes for the staff, amazing bathroom (even the toilet is fancy!). Great price for what you get. Rich ice cream with creative flavor combinations. Highly recommend
This is hands down the best experience Ive ever had. Not only is the ice cream divine, they entire theme made my day. I will be returning as often as possible. Thank you for changing my life.
I don’t even know where to begin! Jono answered the phone with 1 minute to spare! One Minute! He so graciously offered to still fulfill the void due to the lack of ice cream. Here I am just so impressed with his customer service. He, along with how amazing your ice cream is, is the reason why your business is thriving! He deserves to be recognized & definitely offered a raise. A heart of gold i tell you
Really fun place -- they definitely commit to the theme! Its not the best quality ice cream Ive ever had but they have lots of fun flavors and it really is an experience.
This place is SO good. They were so patient and friendly while I tried flavor after flavor (so many great options it was hard to narrow down my choice). They have such a unique and tasty variety of flavors that you are guaranteed to find a flavor you love. I will definitely be back! Also the theme gave the place a fun energy and the names of their flavors are very creative.
Definitely wasnt expecting the Colonial theme to be that hardcore, but it was pretty cool! The staff have cool themed uniforms and the decor is pretty well made, the ice cream was amazing. Some of the names of the ice creams were a bit of a stretch (all tie in to something Colonial related) but the chocolate I got was soooo good.
Quarantine Diaries! I have been supporting tons of local restaurants during the past 2.5 months and here are my reviews!THEY ARE OPEN & THEY HAVE DRIVE THRU!Honestly, I love any ice cream joint that has a drive through! So quick and easy (especially during this time).I feel like their flavors can be a bit over powering with so many add-ins BUT they do have some yummy SIMPLE staples that I LOVE, i.e. Schuyler Sisters’ Kiss (milk chocolate hazelnut ice cream with hazel NUG bits) and Nathan Hale’s regret... that he has but one flavor to give for his country (Pistachio ice cream with pistachio pieces)! They have an outdoor seating area with synthetic grass which is super cute and there is an INSTAGRAMMABLE mural on the side.
I cannot praise this place enough!!! We get their ice cream on a regular basis and haven’t found a flavor we didn’t like! They are also unique so it’s fun seeing their specialty or holiday flavors! It’s the best ice cream I’ve ever had and I would describe myself as an ice cream connoisseur. The employees are always friendly and in colonial times costumes which give the restaurant a fun atmosphere! Definitely give this place a try ASAP!
Yummy ice cream, I just didnt like that they didnt have coffee flavor on their menu, I know its Utah but there are some coffee lovers too please add coffee flavor to your menu.
Cute idea but thats it. One, they didnt have coffee ice cream, even tho she admitted people ask for it. Two, I order a strawberry milkshake. It was made with strawberry ice cream and milk. Talk about being washed out. At least 25-30 Torriani flavors right there. Too many other places to spend money on this one.3, they were OUT of chocolate ice cream also. Pitiful
This place has some really unique and especially tasteful flavors. Everything is founding fathers themed, and the staff are exceedingly friendly, but the ice cream is high quality. Way better than Coldstone. Now with a drive-thru, this place is a strong contender with Rockwell and Handels. Overall a solid A+ grade.
Nice staff. Proud of their ice cream! Some great flavors. You can ask for samples. The theme is kind of fun.
Best ice cream ever. Fun and very original atmosphere. Parking is sketchy but worth it.
The theme and creativity of the ice cream names are entertaining. Best ice cream I’ve tried so far— not overly sweet, but refreshingly sweet. Best combo for lime lovers would definitely be the lime sorbet and the strawberry. Delectable and joy to my tastebuds.
Showed up right at closing and they’re still the friendliness and best people ever. Jono is the greatest. Pay him more money. Also the ice cream is incredible
Love the atmosphere, employees are very friendly and knowledgeable, ice cream 10/10 will be coming back for more!
This place is great!!! Great environment and delicious flavors, even compared to similar flavors from other places.
Great and unique ice cream. The staff was also very friendly and helpful. A great environment for dates or to hang out with friends.
One of our favorite ice-cream places. Its super unique and so tasty! I love the themed names for the ice-creams and the costumes. Fun place to take the kids.
My husband and I regularly go for ice cream dates... when this opened we came here, and we have never been the same since!! Nothing else in Provo measures up (except maybe honeycomb from Rockwell’s.... I haven’t had a chance to try to honeycomb here yet, so I’m willing to be corrected!). It is a bit pricey so we still don’t come here every time, but man oh man! So creamy! BEST cookies and cream out there. We also LOVE the drinking chocolate. Get a scoop of ice cream in there for a tasty surprise. The first time we visited, the owner’s wife helped us at the drive through. She was so kind and talked us through all the flavors, emphasizing how high the milk fat content is, which is what gives it the incredible creaminess, and how unique their cookies and cream flavor is! And we were not disappointed at all!!
Excellent ice cream, excellent employees and service, excellent atmosphere.
My wife and I have been to Brookers many times. We love their ice cream - the amount of flavor choices and the quality is superb. We also just tried their new American drinking chocolate on our last visit and it was delicious! They are a bit pricey, but what you get tastes amazing every time we have gone. I would recommend them to anyone.
Excellent once again. Not many ice cream joints Im happy to try a different flavor every time, but this place has a different offering for me every time that I like as well as the last visit. Still going back!
This place is a Provo hidden gem! The atmosphere is so fun. The employees are all dressed in period costume and it feels like youre in an old time tavern. They have so many unique ice cream flavors its hard to choose! The chocolate cake one tasted exactly like chocolate cake and it kind of blew my mind. And the gooey butter cake one was heavenly. A little pricey but one of the best ice cream places Ive been to in Provo. I highly recommend it.
Well, its ice cream and its really good. You also learn about historical figures, so its educational and delicious. Come to think of it, education IS delicious, so Brookers was just meant to be. I challenge you to try every flavor.
Charlie is the most charming person around! Ice cream was just as awesome! #givecharliearaise
I had heard many good things about this place, so my husband and I decided to go try it. Since it is a bit pricey, we decided it would be a one-time thing. HA. We have been there MANY more times and it never disappoints. We like to get different flavors each time and have never been disappointed, though Paul Reveres Midnight Ride is a definite favorite (and we both get that plus one other flavor). I wish it werent so dang good and so dang close to where we live!
This place seems amazing so I was really wanting to try it out. I got the strawberry guava for me and the cotton candy for my son. Well the strawberry guava was.. gooey? That’s the only word to describe it. Maybe it was because of the guava but it was an odd texture for sure and the taste was a bit off too and I have eaten real guava before so it wasn’t that. I honestly preferred my sons cotton candy over mine. Maybe it was just a bad choice in flavor.
We LOVE Brooker’s, we’ve been going since they opened in vineyard so when they opened a location closer to us we were thrilled! The flavors are amazing, so creamy and different and delightful, the aesthetic is fun and unique, and the customer service is great! I’ve ordered in store, online, and through the drive thru and every experience was top notch. We recommend this place to everyone who lives here, and we love bringing people from out of town so they can experience it too!
I’ve had four or five of the flavors here, and I’ve never been super impressed. It’s pretty good ice cream, but I would choose Rockwell or the Creamery over this place every time.
These people are so nice! They were quick to service, happily talked about how I enjoyed my experience, and were overall really great to be around. I’m definitely coming back :)
The ice cream flavor combinations are terrific! My wife cant eat dairy, so she tried the sorbet. We were pretty disappointed. Typically, sorbets are tart and icy. This was the exact opposite. We tried the strawberry guava and the lemon watermelon. The texture was really gummy. Im almost certain they add cornstarch or some kind of thickener to it because it wasnt icy, but was like a cold slime. The flavor was also lack luster. When ordering a lemon sorbet, you expect a tart lemon flavor, almost mouth puckering, which is nice and refreshing. Ideally, a frozen lemonade. It instead tasted like a super sweet chilled gummy liquid with the slightest artificial lemon flavor. You can tell its not a legit sorbet because it doesnt even melt. It just congeals. I hope they update the recipe to improve upon the taste and texture.
The icecream is very good. There are lots of flavors and some uniques ones as well. The theme of the place is fun. Although the staff did not look like they enjoyed the costuming they had to wear, and I had trouble not staring since that kind of thing is so unique. The location was too busy for comfort. It is located on a road with bumper to bumper parked cars and loads of apartments. I am sure the location is good for business or if you were a student at BYU and wanted to walk there, but it is too congested for people who are not familiar with the area and trying to park a car. We circled the place three times before finding that there was parking in the back.We wish we would have went to the other location rather than this one.
Coolest ice cream place ever! The theme of the shop is spot on. The decor and names of the flavors is so fun! More importantly, the ice cream is delish! Some of the best we’ve ever had. No exaggeration 👏🏻
I cannot say enough good things about this place! I grew up with the east coast ice cream places where Brooker got his inspiration, but his ice cream goes above and beyond. The ice cream is thick, creamy and flavorful. They have tons of amazing flavors, the waffle cones are fantastic and the employees are super helpful and friendly. There’s also a fun Williamsburg vibe with the decorations, uniforms and music. This is the only ice cream place I go to now. Nowhere else compares.
Best and most unique ice cream flavors ever!! I love the colonial atmosphere of the restaurant, the fun costumes, and the historical feel. The ice cream flavors are so fun and unique!! And they teach you historical facts at the same time, which is my JAM. The ice cream is so chunky and rich. I recommend the Alexander Hamilton flavor. I love this place!!
Friendly staff, incredibly creamy ice creamy, uniquely fun flavors.
This place was incredible! Came with a large group and we were all served super promptly! The atmosphere, costumes and especially the ice cream blew my mind! I will definitely be coming back!
Amazing Ice cream with very unique flavors and costumes 😂 I highly recommend you try the Patrick Henry Give Me Chocolate or Give Me Death flavor. It was too good 😋
They have the same great customer service that Ive come to enjoy from their Vineyard location. The ice cream is incredible. Honestly this isnt the cheapest ice cream but if you wanted cheap, youd be eating Walmart ice cream over your kitchen sink like an animal. 5/5 would recommend
Best ice cream ever
So good and so many fun flavor options!
Such an awful place. The service is slow, the ice cream is mediocre, and the employees really aren’t personable. The owner also feels the need to comment on every single 1-star review and stalks you and your past reviews. They can never be professional and either refrain from commenting or actually apologize for the bad experience that WE, as customers, have had. What a low life. Don’t waste your time here.
Absolutely in love with this place, customer services and the icecream flavors
This place is so fun!! I totally went into it not knowing what to expect, but I was seriously impressed. The staff was so helpful and the whole colonial theme was hilariously awesome. The icecream was so good and it was SUCH a hard choice between all the cool flavors! I ended up picking the Black Raspberry which was so good. Highly recommend!!
My favorite ice cream place in the state. Likely the country. I eat ice cream almost daily and this place hits the spot
Really fun place, and the ice cream is ALL homemade!
I loved the place, the staff and the ice cream 😋
Brookers Founding Flavors is a CLASS ACT. They are always professional, cheerful, and helpful and are more than willing to help you taste every flavor in the store. To top it off, they have the best ice cream out there. 10 out 10, would recommend. Also, shoutout to Nolan for being extremely helpful with my order!
This place is fun! It felt like I was in one of those shops in Disneyland. It was very immersive. The flavors are clever and delicious. They have a few great dairy free options.
Absolutely loved this place!!!! Suuuuper good ice cream, hilarious flavor names (all founding fathers themed of course), and great atmosphere. The prices aren’t bad either. Six dollars for a medium and eight for a large, and they fill the cups way up over the top! We’ll definitely be coming back!
Really good ice cream! Love the vibe. Really creative names for the flavors. Super busy!
5 stars except maybe dont come here unless you are ok with needing to come every week after that!! I love the variety of unique flavors. Everything is just so real and creamy and homemade tasting. They dont go easy on the amount of chunks mixed in, either. There are even two types of cookies and cream and one is extra chocolatey. Better than BYU creamery if you ask me!
Very likely the best ice cream I have ever tasted! The ice creams are extremely rich and the ingredients added are top-quality. I love the theme and how the flavors tie into their title. Seriously incredible ice cream!!
Brookers has rich flavored ice cream, friendly staff, and the Revolutionary War theme gives the place a patriotic and unique aesthetic. Highly recommend
Love the ice cream here. Way too close to my house for my health.
You think you know what ice cream is supposed to be and then you try Brookers Founding Flavors and boom everything changes. Their ice cream is amazing and it’s a must stop. The staff and owners are friendly, helpful and have I mentioned... make incredible ice cream.
Such a cool concept and what fun names! How much better can you get than Nathan Hales Regret....That He Has But One Flavor To Give For His Country? I got John Adams Oh My Ooey Gooey Butter Cake and man oh man.... So good! Ive never seen that flavor anywhere before. Will be going back! P.S. Go to the bathroom and look in the toilet :)
I have only ever been to two ice cream places that have satisfied me. This place just became the third. Amazon, great feel, amazing ice cream with original and delicious flavors. I am very picky with ice cream. This place is amazing.
They weren’t open during their hours (3:30 on a Saturday) with no indication of that on their website or even the door when we got there.
We’ve been to their Vineyard location before but haven’t been back since it’s so out of the way. I got the mint chocolate chip and the “give me chocolate or give me death,” and would highly recommend both. Their mint chocolate chip is easily the best that I’ve had in Provo.
It was wonderful!! They had gluten-free and vegan options!!!
Its a very interesting place.
Delicious ice cream and great staff!
Delicious ice cream, but Brookers won’t let you buy their “kid size” ice cream unless it’s for a kid. And their portion sizes are massive. Probably won’t go back because of that policy.
Best ice cream around. I have been there 4 times and get different flavors each time. So good
Having been to the Vineyard location before, the ice cream is just as good as it always is, and I was excited to have a location closer to home. However, I was appalled at their disregard for quarantine safety measures. The tape marks on the floor for the line were clearly less than six feet and pointless since the staff were not enforcing (or even encouraging!) distancing at all. The staff mostly kept their masks on, but the woman in charge kept taking off her mask to promote the quality of the ice cream. None of the employees were required to wear gloves or wash their hands in between orders. No one told people to leave when they stayed longer inside the shop to eat their ice cream after they had paid.I love the ice cream, but I will not be returning to this shop until after quarantine measures are removed, as the people in charge clearly don’t value the health of their customers or employees.
Tried to visit your shop today for the very first time and not a single employee around to open the shop?! We were there during your posted hours of operation too...no sign or anything explaining why. Family was disappointed, not a good first impression. Took our business to the BYU creamery instead
Fantastic service and incredible ice cream! Chatted with the owners wife and was very impressed with the whole experience!
Really good ice cream, well-trained staff. I actually like the flavors better than the ones at the BYU creamery.
I had some questions regarding the ways that the ice cream are served and handled in the store. I emailed and left a private message on their instagram page to address my concerns to them. They never responded to me after one month after I wrote a google review. Disappointed at their poor customer service.
Everything about this place nailed it. The theme, the ice cream, the flavors, the employees. Favorite ice cream place. 10/10
Wait was incredible after 45 mins I left. With only 4 people in front of me. Slowest ice cream in provo.
We love this place! Best theme. Best ice cream!
Really, really good icecream! Definitely going to be going back very, very soon! Ive been there 4 times since they opened last week! Take my money!
Yummy ice cream with great original flavors. I had dulce de leche (a seasonal flavor) and Thomas Jefferson’s Declaration of Cookie Dough (salted milk chocolate cookie dough). Friendly staff and overall great experience!
The girl that took my order recommended I try “George Mason’s Peanut Butter Bill of Rights” after hearing I love peanut butter. Here is a list of phrases that came out of my mouth while eating this ice cream.- This is everything I wanted it to be and more- I think this ice cream is what the fruit of the tree of life would taste like to me (see 1 Nephi 8)- This is what I want Cap’n Crunch peanut butter to taste like- This tastes like Jif and Skippy sorted out all their differences and made a wonderful baby that saved the world. My girlfriend tried “Alexander Hamilton’s Not Throwing Away My Scoop” and simply stated “This is ice cream to be eaten thoughtfully...”
