My passenger door had been giving me problems. Most of the time when I closed it, it wouldnt latch. My roommate recommended these guys so I stopped by without an appointment. Caesar was at the front desk and he came out to take a look at my door. He saw that that something was loose and tightened it up on the spot. Free of charge! I always appreciate when a business does more than they need to do. I took my car to Provo Car Medic for an oil change because it’s right down the street and the service was so quick and affordable that I brought our other car over for an oil change a few days later. While I was getting the second oil change, I asked them to give me a quote on our broken windshield wiper, and a couple minutes later they came back in and told me that it was a simple fix so they just did it free of charge. We will definitely be coming back for future repairs and maintenance!

Alberto is the man. Fairly priced and treat you like family. They run on island time so sit back, relax, and know they’ll do a good job.

Superb! I went in for an oil change. Alberto anticipated the need to reset the computer so that the check engine would turn off after the oil pressure self regulated. On top of that, he managed to look up my number, call, and leave a voicemail because I had left my Ray-Bans (worth $350) in the shop. I didnt get the message until three weeks later, and they were still holding the glasses there. Just good, old fashioned, honest service.

I have taken my cars to Provo Car Medic for a number of years. They have treated me with respect and have taken great care of my cars. They are honest and knowledgeable, and their prices are so reasonable. I have referred many people to them. I know that they will do the best possible job for the least amount of money possible. My sons heater/ac thermostat went out. He took it to the dealer and was quoted $3k to fix it. They said the part was not repairable, they had to take out the dash, special order the part, replace the part- on and on. I told him to take it to Provo Car Medic, and after paying $300 to have it fixed, it is still working perfectly 3 years later. Rather then go to the expense of replacing the part, they reattached the wire that had come off. They never try to up-sale me. They just do the work and move along. Cesar is very honest. I will continue use them and send my friends and family members in for great, honest, excellent priced service.

These guys are awesome. To start they know what they are talking about and exactly what to do. Very trustworthy employees that are all very friendly. My truck is always in and out of there extremely quick and they communicate with me exactly whats happening. Best shop in provo. Also the prices are the best they get things done efficiently and keep costs very low. Ive gone to them many times over the past few years and every time I am very impressed. No complaints here. I like these guys. They always help us out and work with us, and are always up front and honest about the cheapest way to get things done.They have no issues with breaking down what happened to your car to help you understand, and have even taken me into the back into their garage/workshop to show me personally what is going on with my car.

My personal experience was great with them. My friend would always talk about how he got most if not all of his services done there. Im a guy that can typically work on my car and I had bought new brake rotors and pads but couldnt get them to get loose or anything. I called them up and they priced me at a very reasonable price and I needed my E-brake to work and they did that with an additional cost of course but it was a great service for the price. All together was around $200 and they worked on it for a few hours which I expected because I couldnt even do it myself so PROPS to Provo Car Medic. No business is perfect but for me Ive had no issues. Give it a try and then judge it. Learn if its the place for you to go or not. Some shops are obviously better than others. Great people and services for great prices for exceptional work.

I had been bringing my car--2004 Hyundai Elantra-- to this place because it was so cheap and the staff were friendly. However, after some time I noticed some rather glaring issues that I could no longer overlook and stopped returning to them:1) They are terrible at keeping you updated when they say they will.2) They arent the best mechanics, and can even botch the simplest tasks. When I went there, they botched an oil change, and my car leaked out most of its oil and it was left stranded at my parents place. Granted, the owner of the shop said that if it caused any engine damage, they would have replaced it, and he also came all the way over to the house to fix the oil change. They also installed a defective part when they replaced my timing belt, causing a small leak, so they replaced that at no cost. They also never were able to properly figure out my cars emissions problems, so I had to keep bringing it back in over and over again. I also just found out from another mechanic that they installed crappy brake pads--they are the hard long lasting kind--but they were so hard that theyve been damaging my drums this whole time so now Im going to need to replace both my drums and back brake pads in order to pass my next safety and emissions.I honestly should have stopped going to them earlier. While they are nice people, are honest and are super cheap, you DO get what you pay for, and in the long run, you pay for it through the nose with being inconvenienced from having to bring your car in multiple times and paying for the same issues to have to be fixed again by someone else. Im sorry to say it, but these people are incompetent. :(

I went in have my passenger side window fixed. The man said it probly was the motor and would cost about $150-160 plus $75 for labor. It turned out that it wasnt the motor but the switch that needed to be replaced. Fair enough. But the switch only costs $33.99. And guess what? He charged me $262.62 for a switch and an hour of labor. He never called me to tell me that he was using a different part. And best of all, he said his printer wasnt working and could not give me an itemized receipt. I disputed the charge on my credit card and have filed a complaint with the department of commerce. Dont worry though, he doesnt treat all of his customers like this...not if youre first language is Spanish.

These folks are the BEST!!! I went in with my 2 little boys to have my flat tire fixed. They found no issues, they tested it thoroughly and mounted it along with testing all of my other tires and didnt want to charge me! I gave them $10 and said buy you & your crew a subway sandwich next door. Ms. Iris at the front desk is a sweetheart and Cesar was nothing short of a gentleman! This shop will now have a customer for LIFE! If I could give them a 10 star rating I would. TOP NOTCH SHOP! Thanks to you all...

I’m always nervous bringing my truck somewhere to get worked on, I suppose I am afraid of getting scammed or something getting stolen but when I can here everyone was friendly and I felt like they were going to take good care of me. I am happy I came!

Ive been to Clegg Auto, Campus Tire Pros and others several times before. Im never going back after going to Car Medic. They do a great job, they do it fast, and they dont charge you an arm and a leg.Car Medic is the best place to get your car checked out in Provo, especially for poor college students.

Provo Car Medic gave me an excellent service on both of my vehicles. I trust them. Two different times that my car had to stay over night, they even let me borrow one of their vehicles so I had transportation while they worked on my car. That is what I call going the extra mile in customer service!

Will definitely be using Provo Car Medic again in the future! Estimated price for labor and parts was reasonable and broken down for me. I was able to get my car in quickly during a busy holiday week, and everyone I spoke with was friendly and professional.

I know there are a lot of conflicting reviews here, but I had a really good experience. Cesar and Alberto were honest and communicative. It sounds like its a family owned business and that shows (in a good way). I went in for safety and emissions, but didnt end up passing immediately. They helped me understand what was wrong and what needed to be done (replace rear brakes, and drive the car more, for more data, to pass emissions). I had to come back a few times for emissions, (to get more data, driving the car more) and they got me right in immediately, without delay. I would recommend to a friend.

They had me in and out with my emissions test in like 10 minutes. It is always a really great value and they treat you well. I recommend them.

I had a great and quick experience with Provo Car Medic. There werent a lot of formalities which was a little unnerving at first but everything went smoothly. I was in and out in 30 minutes with Safety and Emissions and an Oil Change. Ill definitely go back.

If you need more simple repairs done at a price you can afford, this is the place. They change m oil for $18 and do my safety and emissions $25 combined (you need a coupon from Allens across the street though). They hooked me up with 2 tires-$35 bucks each installed and balanced. The wait is sometimes a little long as they are usually packed with people who need small inexpensive repairs done. I have never gone here for any big repairs though. My experience has been great this far though.

Gotta understand where youre going. This isnt the place for major engine work. But want your oil changed in 20 minutes for $20 with a coupon from smiths? Go here.

I had an electrical issue with my sons car that I couldnt even get anyone else to look at. Long story short, I was not the one paying for the repair, as the issues that were caused were because of someone elses wrong doing. I told them exactly what had happened and they knew I wasnt the one footing the bill. Not only did they diagnose and fix the issue quickly, it was less than $100 to take care of. In a situation where most people would have charged me hundreds of dollars and dishonestly run up a bill, they were honest and fair. I will go back to them again. I couldnt be happier with the service they provided.

The Provo Car Medic became my go to shop while I was in Provo. They have pretty much the best prices in town for labor and oil changes, and theyre helpful and friendly. Definitely the ideal shop if youre on a budget.

I previously loved this shop, now I will never go back.Be prepared to wait an unreasonable amount of time for your car to be fixed. This place is terribly slow and will only give you vague ideas of when your car is ready.Your car will always be slightly worse then when you dropped it off.I have had:1) Headlight left unplugged2) Weather Stripping on door torn off3) E-brake loose after they adjusted it to check brakes for safety and emission. They charged me 1/2 labor to adjust again the problem they caused.4) Heater Control Valve and Switch Broken (Working when dropped off) and then they refused to fix it.You will notice that this list gets progressively worse. The headlight and the weather stripping werent a big enough deal to lose my business. It was only when they broke my heater control switch and valve, and then refused to fix it, that I promised to never return.I know my valve/switch worked when I dropped it off. It had been a cold morning and a warm afternoon so I had used both my heater and A/C. Later that day, after dropping off my car, when I called to ask about picking up my car they were very elusive and said it might be another two or three days. (I imagine this was them trying to see if they could fix it themselves) When I asked why it would take so long they told me it was ready to be picked up that very day. (This was also very concerning). I got into my car, noticed the issue, talked to them, and was lied to. The head mechanic came out, told me he had worked on my AC and that he had not broken it. You could even tell from his body language that he broke it. I was so sad that they refused to take responsibility.I will never go back.Please go somewhere else with integrity. This store will not stand behind their work.

I went in for a standard safety and emissions. They said it would take 45 minutes. After walking around the neighborhood in the heat for an hour, I came back and they HADNT EVEN STARTED! No courtesy phone call to say they were running late or anything. I will NEVER return to such a sketchy place!

I will never go back. Unresponsive and over priced. Told me it was the O2 sensor but to bring my car back the next day because they wouldnt be able to get to it that day so I brought it back the next day. Said they would call me when they knew what was wrong (although they already knew it was the O2 sensor within 5 minutes of looking at it the day before). Never called me back so I called and they said they would call me in 45 minutes. Two hours later I never got a call so I called again and they told me to call back in two hours. Finally by 5:30PM they called me and told me yet again that it was the O2 sensor and it would take 30 minutes to fix. When I picked it up the next day they charged me for two hours of diagnostic.

Great customer care and they always finish my car on time. Highly recommend this place.

I previously liked this shop a lot. I liked that their repairs were less expensive than other places, they are willing to install AutoZone parts, and they are pleasant to deal with. Last week I took my car to them because it was running poorly and the check engine light was on. They charged me $65 to read the error code and diagnose the problem and $300 for the repairs. Although the car now runs better, the check engine light came right back on the next day. I took the car back to them today, and surprisingly, they wanted to charge me for another diagnostic (they did say that they might be willing to give me a discount on the repair itself). They said the reason they wanted to charge me again was that their reader was indicating a different problem code from last week. However, AutoZones free reader was giving me the same code all along. Sadly, I wont be going back. I cant justify paying for a second diagnostic when the first one was done incompletely.

Pleasant atmosphere, very reasonable pricing, and timely service (I usually dont need an appt for minor needs). Oscar, the main mechanic, knows every car we bring in and what service were likely to request.

Beware of Provo Car Medic! Initially they are attractive because of the low prices but they screw you over with terrible work that youll have to get fixed professionally later on! I wish I could give 0 stars. I tried to take my car in today to get an oil change at a different business because I moved about 20 mins away, and they informed me they were unable to do so because the last place I went to (Provo car medics) warped the star shaped screw so they were unable to take it off to drain the oil. So dishonest!

The Car Medic is incredible. I was in a huge pickle that our car broke down two days before our lease ended and we were moving to Oregon. We dropped the car off after hours and they looked at it first thing in the morning, figured out the problem and gave us an estimate (and didnt charge us a penny more). They had to order the parts but hurried to get our car done after hearing about our situation. They finished in a very timely manner and worked after closing to get us out and on the road. I will only go to them if I ever need car problems in Utah county! Highly recommend!PS We made the trip just fine without any problems!

Cheap and convenient. Not sure the quality of the oil with the price so low.

I had to bring a car I purchased here several times from a small used dealership (the used dealership and this business are friends, so the used dealership wanted me to bring it here to have a few of the things that needed to be fixed worked on). I found they would rig things instead of replacing things. Also, the small dealership claimed they would have them fix some things because they would only charge them parts. Come to find these things were not really fixed, and it almost cost me my engine. Also, the car was never ready when they said it would be. I would not recommend coming here.

Emissions done easy, cheap and quick

The worst auto repair shop I have ever gone to. They were unable to diagnose my cars problem, and I bought it from them. Do not trust them, or their shoddy work. Go to a real shop with trained mechanics, not shade mechanics.

Look this is a dude with a shop. He does our oil for $18 and Safety and Emissions for $25. We have taken a 1986 Camry there to get a ball joint replaced. He has also worked on our 1996 Corolla and 2004 Prius. The Prius was a smartkey model that he didnt even know how to start or drive it until i explained it. It is what it is, for the money we like what they do. One day My 86 Camry died in the middle of the street while it was pouring rain. He ran over with his jump kit and jumped me in the pouring rain. Hes a good guy, just dont expect a big professional dealership or company

Very honest and great to deal with.

Use them a lot but more problems seems to occur. Took my car in for a leak they charged 80 dollars and said they didnt find any. Car was leaking the day brought it home.

Came in for a motorcycle safety inspection. I let them know I had a meeting in half an hour and they took care of the inspection right away and I was out of the door in 15 minutes.
