AAMCO is where I will continue to go on ANY transmission related work! Knowledgeable, professional, honest and time sensitive. They were able to get me in within a day or so. I needed a transmission service. My transmission required a specific viscosity type fluid, they happened to have it. My transmission is excellent now! An Honest shop is a big pet peeve of mine. AAMCO is one, many are not. Believe it or not, it’s not uncommon to get dishonest shops, rather common actually. So when I find a good one, I stay with them! At the time of check out, the work order was verified. A technician missed a small detail,(drain radiator, flush and refill, it had dirt in it), and I was informed it was not carried out. I’m sure it was harder to admit that they’d missed something rather than just hope I didn’t notice. They informed me, no big deal, I much prefer the honesty. Mistakes happen at all places and this was very minor. Had I not been informed about the small miss, (that the radiator wasn’t drained and refilled), then upon next regular maintenance, I would’ve assumed a much larger problem was evident and probably replaced my radiator. Thinking maybe dirt got in after I’d just had it drained, flushed and refilled. Obviously they didn’t charge me for the missed service and apologized several times. I highly recommend AAMCO to anyone needing transmission work of any kind ! Other services are available too.

Came in for the free diagnostic, will be coming back & recommending anyone I know who is having car problems.I heard a rattling in my hood & didnt want to take it in for $180 diagnostic elsewhere because I had a feeling it was a smaller, less expensive problem. I decided to come in for a free diagnostic & Im so happy that I did. The rattling was a quick $25 fix.However, they also let me know other pressing/less pressing issues (which I had been putting off) going on in my car & gave me the option to have those fixed same day too. I decided to go through with all of it because I didnt feel pressured, the prices were fair, & I could tell they were honest.I really trust them here & I am very happy with their service.

Of all the places Ive been to service our cars, AAMCO has quickly become the one I trust fully. They are thorough in their diagnostics, and realistic in sharing what repairs require greater attention and which can wait. They have always been honest in their work and generous in giving us breaks when they can. If I want to know how my car is doing, there is no question who I will take it to.

We highly recommend Aamco! So accommodating, thorough, honest and fast! We had taken our van to another shop and we’re given a list of things to fix for over $1000. We had a transmission service completed just to have the problem persist. Aamco took the time to drive our van, diagnos the problem, fixed it and didn’t try to fix things that we didn’t need (when we told them what the previous shop recommended). They even got it done same day since it’s our only vehicle so we could get it back quickly. We will definitely go back for any other vehicle needs we have!

I had a really great experience. I dont know a lot about cars and I always get kind of nervous that mechanics are ripping me off. I has issues with my car shaking and took it to Pep Boys. They did an undercarriage evaluation and couldnt find anything and told me to go to a transmission shop. Dave helped me through the whole process and I felt comfortable the entire time. They found out it really wasnt the transmission but the CV axel rod, which is something Pep Boys checked for but didnt figure out. So Im glad that AAMCO was actually able to give me some answers and get it fixed.

AAMCO helped me understand what was going on with my car after trying a few other places. Unfortunately due to the type of transmission they were unable to do anything. I am very grateful for their honesty in letting me know they were not comfortable fixing my particular car due to its oddity. They were very helpful despite that.

Oil was leaking fast from my wifes car. They got us in right away. I offer to have them complete service if price was under $300. Their policy is to call me no matter what they repair. So we left. They called a short while later and indicted the oil filter had a hole in it. Repair $23. Obviously they could have made the repairs to appear much more complex. Dave the owner is honest to a fault. It doesnt matter if the repair is $23 or $2300 so long as it is a true reflection of work performed. Trusting your mechanic is extremely valuable in todays world. I highly recommend AAMCO in Provo!

I was having transmission problems and they got my car in the shop the same day and I picked it up two days later after the part arrived and the repair was completed. My car was making concerning noises so I took it to Aamco for a diagnostic. They found I had something loose on the undercarriage, tacked it up for me, did a full diagnostic and didnt find any other problems, and their diagnostic is free. I am very pleased with my experience at AAMCO PROVO, UT. My suburban had major transmission problems. I called a dozen places here locally, and Dave at AAMCO was the only one (no exaggeration) who insisted I bring my vehicle in to be looked at before he quoted me a price. He ended up recommending a full rebuild, but he explained everything clearly, and I’m confident I paid a fair price. And they had it done very quickly, which is just as important to me as price. I went in thinking I was going to need a new transmission. After the free assessment they told me it was just a fluid leak that could be repaired with a service and gasket replacement. Honest fast and friendly.

Dave saved me $3,300! The other shop charged for their diagnosis and said it was a $3,700 repair. Admittedly, it was a complex and uncommon transmission issue, but AAMCO Provo gave us a second opinion for free and nailed it! For less than $400, our car was back running. This was especially great because we are in MI, and taking care of the repair long distance.

Awesome service. They took a look at my car and made it fast and through. Helped me understand what was wrong with my car.

They were super helpful. I went in because I had a check engine code that referred to a transmission line. When I arrived they quickly pulled it in and told me that that check engine code was covered by a recall and that if I took it to the dealer they would fix it for free. AAMCO didnt charge me anything for doing all of that. They were awesome!

They got me in right away and we’re able to fix my cars’ problems. They are so polite & kind. 12/10 recommend this shop. Best customer service I’ve ever seen in Provo.

We set an appointment at 2:30 and was then told that other projects were ahead of ours and we would be required to leave our car for another 2 1/2 hours. We only needed a pre trip check up and once we told him that, it was like we were pushed to the back burner and the customer service was gone. We don’t feel like he was trying to be rude but there was zero quality of customer service or care. I hope this might help increase the level of customer service and care for customers, even if they aren’t bringing a ton of business.

I have taken several vehicles to AAMCO and referred at least 7 friends as well. Always honest and straight forward diagnosis and repair with no unnecessary parts or procedures. I dont having vehicle problems, but when they come up, AAMCO is my trusted shop for repairs.

They quickly changed my transmission fluid which was great. But on top of that, they found a way to make it cheaper than they initially told me which I am all about. While they were doing that, they also took the time to notify me of other problems that werent a huge deal, but that I should recognize were a thing. Very grateful for how professional they were and that they told me exactly what they were going to do before performing any repairs so I didnt feel cheated

They do a great job, they let you know honestly how critical things are on your vehicle and dont try and pressure you into fixing things that are not necessarily life and death. This place is where you want to go for any car problems. Definitely a diamond in the ruff. I was driving from Washington to Texas and my clutch acting up half was there. I had to be in Texas for my job in three days or I would miss out on career opportunities. Sure enough my clutch was done. David and their team were honest and very professional. They even drove me to find me an affordable hotel while my car was hitting fixed. They have me a fair price, I know because I got quotes from another shop in town. My car was fixed the next day and I made it to Texas just in time. Thank you dave you and your team were a blessing.

I felt like Dave went above and beyond to fix my car. The passenger CV axle in my car failed. Another shop said it was fixed on two different occasions, but the replacement axle failed both times. The warranty company I was working with said that I had to take it back to the same shop since the part used was under the shops warranty not theirs. After being on the side of the road three times in one month, I was frustrated and convinced the warranty company to refund my old claim and start a new claim with AAMCO. The claim was still pending approval, so AAMCO wasnt allowed to install any new parts, but Dave ended up ordering a part from the dealer to test if it would fit. He shipped it back to the dealer until the claim was approved and then had the part shipped back. I havent had any problems since then! Dave was very patient despite the hassle of working with the warranty company and answering my anxious phone calls. Im so grateful I found this shop and would highly recommend it!

Best experience Ive had at a repair shop. My car was making this clunking one day like it would not shift gears and so I called a few places to try and get in the next day. AAMCO was the only place that had a spot available day of to look at my car. They checked it for free right away but then said they would need to do a deeper inspection to diagnose the issue. He assured me the transmission fluid looked good though, so I at least knew it wouldnt be a transmission replacement. He said he would charge me $95 for the hour inspection and then call me when they knew what was wrong. He said they would know by the end of the day how long my car would need to be in the shop for.He called me less than an hour later (they mustve done the inspection right away) and told me that they had found the problem and had already fixed it!! And he told me that it would only cost $47 because it took them half the time they thought it would. Amazing service and great communication. Dave is very honest and will not try to get money out of you. I didnt feel talked down to at all and he made everything make so much sense. I highly recommend AAMCO! I will be coming back!

So impressed with these guys. My car had a rattling sound while accelerating and turning which was diagnosed by 3 different mechanics (including a certified master mechanic) as a front differential problem which would cost over 2k. These guys found the real problem, a rock that had got up in there and was rattling around. And they didn’t charge me. Outstanding and a new customer earned.

My husband called Dave at AAMCO and he got us in that day. He got all the repairs done the same day and our vehicle was in working condition by the time we needed to go on our trip. We decided to give AAMCO in Provo a second chance and we are so glad we did.PREVIOUS 3 STAR REVIEW:Fixed the drive train and transmission issues and did a good job as far as I can tell, but told me he would keep me posted on price along the way. I told him that I needed an exact amount to get financing. He called me with an estimate of $738, then I called the morning of pickup to make sure it was still the same cost and was told yes by the owner. Then when I went to pay I suddenly found out that the total was over $1100 and they forgot to let me know that an additional service had been done. He had told me that they were waiting on a part but he never told me that it had needed to be rebuilt and that it would add to the cost. Up until today, I was very impressed with AAMCO and the owner, Dave, and I was ready to give a 5-star review, but we were blind sided with the added $400 expense.

Went here for the first time for a transmission service on my wifes Jeep Compass and it was great. They ordered the stock fluid from the dealer to ensure the best quality performance and Dave called me to inform me of a minor transmission coolant leak before they started the service to ask if they should fix that as well but werent pushy, requiring that it be fixed. Had to put in an extra quart of fluid above what they originally quoted but the price was still reasonable and service was great! Ill be back with my Honda in the future. Thanks Dave!

You might think you cant find a truly honest mechanic, but I disagree. It is nice to call and have the owner answer the phone. Dave is great at customer service and always explains what they find out. I have been bringing my cars here for more than 6 years. I know that I am getting excellent work every time I go. I have never had a problem with anything they have fixed. Having older cars they help me to make sure I stay safe for the best price possible. I know that my cars need more work, and I dont feel pressured to get everything done right away. They help me prioritize the repairs that my vehicles need. I am glad that he goes to bat for me to find the best quality parts for the best price. I have a van that is a little odd and I had to get a part replaced that is no longer manufactured. They were able to figure out a solution they kept me on the road and safe. Just this past week I have had my cars tuned up and got them back in under a day. I will continue to use Aamco for as long as I am here.

Id like to thank the whole aamco staff in Provo for being very professional and helping me get through the rest of my vacation in Utah! I drove down from Washington State and had problems with my transmission heating up every couple of hours and was forced to pull off to the side of the road. They were able to get me in on such a short notice which was super awesome! After they serviced my transmission I was able to hit 5 National parks in 5 days in 95 degree weather with no problems at all! My jeep runs and shifts so much better now!
