This is the greatest car shop in Provo, especially for Subarus. Kennedy was especially helpful in getting my car back quickly and even stayed late to make sure I had it back before the weekend. They are fast, efficient, fair, good at communicating, and professional.

I’ve taken my car in 3 times, always extremely professional. Never trying to upsell, always asking permission before performing extra tasks that they see need work. Also they are very affordable. I’ll never use another car shop for my subie!

I took my Subaru in because it was losing some oil and seemed to be burning it off, as well as a noisy exhaust manifold. Although they were a little overbooked and busy, they did a great job addressing my needs and concerns and fixed the issue with my noisy manifold. I was recommended an induction oil cleaning to help my engine not burn so much oil since its high mileage. This was all about a month ago. Today I was a little disappointed when I pulled my spark plugs to find 3 of the 4 coils drenched in oil, a clear indicator of bad valve cover gaskets, an inspection that takes all of a minute to perform. I doubt 3 of them failed that bad in the last 100 miles Ive driven. I feel like I was recommended the induction cleaning without a thorough inspection of why I was losing oil. But I could be wrong and felt like they had excellent customer service.

I had my CV axel replaced by Zack, hes very knowledgeable and respectful. Theyre no nonsense, I knew what needed to be fixed, so it made it easy for them. He called before to confirm what needed to be fixed after I made an appointment and sent my Subaru to be fixed within a day. 10 out of 10 recommend!

They always give us a fair price and honest estimate on fixing our ancient Subarus (200K+ and 300K+ miles on them!). They’re easy and pleasant to work with, and we love giving them our business.

We recently bought a used 2001 Subaru Legacy from the Johnsons. The car is GREAT! New tires, new head gaskets, new oil, nice and clean, Everything works! Plus it has a 1 year warranty and the price was affordable! You cannot get that from any used car dealership. These guys are the best! Buy with confidence or trust them with your Subaru repairs. Im quite pleased with their service on my Subaru Outback. My repairs were pricey, but the mechanic who helped me, Kent, didnt pressure me into paying for the other, much more pricey repair I had. He was also very approachable and helpful. The facility itself didnt wow me but thats okay, I suppose.

Johnson Family Motors in an excellent place to work with. I needed some help with my Subaru and they were very knowledgeable and easy to work with. This shop sold me the car of my dreams and has been a place that I trust to come back to. The guys can always squeeze me in for a quick oil change even when I call last minute. They always go above and beyond and exceed all my expectations each time I come in. I never feel like they take advantage of my lack of knowledge regarding cars, if anything, they try to teach me how to take care of my baby. They always break down the cost of a repair for me and explain what they’re doing. I love the family-run vibe of this place and how kind everyone is.

I purchased a 2007 Saturn Sky from them, and they have been nothing but helpful. They dont cheat you out of your money like most people do, and I would for sure recommend anyone to go to them. They have great warrantys on their vehicles, and they arent super expensive, maybe selling it at blue book or lower.

This is a great group guys. They definitely know their Subarus. I went in and took advantage of their awesome new Fuel System Cleaning. The process took about and hour to complete and they were helpful and friendly throughout that whole time. Made me feel very comfortable with their services. After the fuel system cleaning I was able to see a difference in my MPG. I gained 3 MPGs, which helps, since I commute 100 miles a day in my WRX. I definitely recommend taking your car to these guys for any services you might need.

Kent was super friendly to work with. He called us with updates and ultimately was able to find us a cheaper part for our Subaru. Would definitely recommend to anyone with a Subaru.

I honestly didnt know what to expect when I went to Johnson Family Motors as I have traditionally purchased my car from large dealerships in the past, but let me tell you that Zac changed my mind. I needed a large van to take on my frequent Moab trips and he got me exactly what I wanted and well under the normal sticker price. I would highly recommend using Zac for buying your next car!

Man I was so thankful to find this business. They helped me out in the tightest pinch of my life. Man did I get a deal. Wow now for the ending of this. On 1/20/17 m6 wife and I took back a Subaru that these guys loaned my wife and I without charging us for the usage. WOW WHAT COMPANY WOULD EVER DO THAT? Well this company did. The moral of this story is, DO NOT EVER TRUST THESE GUYS!!TONIGHT I SAT IN 30 DEGREES OR LESS TEMPS IN A PAIR OF SHORTS AND A T-SHIRT. when these guys loaned us the Subaru the also took my 99 Durango to see what all was wrong with it. Come to find out it would cost over 4k to fix it. I couldnt afford that. Well these guys had told me they would sell us the Subaru for 2k. Great deal right? Wrong. It wasnt worth 500 dollars. My wife was texting him back & forth & he then said Ill sell you the Subaru for 2500$. Raised the price not only once but twice. I told him we just got approved for a loan from the bank for 4500$ and his words to my wife was Well I think that Subaru would be worth around 4500$. My wife told me that & I said no lets take it back. So we were scheduled to take the car back on 1/20 morning time but due to unforseen conditions I couldnt make it then. My wife & I left around 930pm. Upon arriving I immediately notice my Durango had been backed into causing alot of damage. I text Zac asking him what happened to my truck & his text reads, (Not sure what you are talking about, I had my guys move it from where it parked behind some trucks to on the road earlier today. They didnt mention anything to me).... Which then leads me to asking him where the key was. He had to send his wife down to get the key OUT OF HIS SHOP. She showed up, THATS ALL FINE AND DANDY, But come to find out my gas tank is empty,Battery is beyond dead & also been wrecked. I told his wife well have to use the car really quick & run home grab another car & come right back. HER RESPONSE WAS I DONT LIKE BEING PUT IN THE MIDDLE OF THIS BUT, WE HAD ARRANGEMENTS TO DO THIS EARLIER AND SO ZAC DOESNT WANT THE CAR TO LEAVE). WOW!!!! Your company wrecks my truck,Steal my gas & LEAVE OUR ASSES IN THE FREEZING COLD. My wife & I sat in a Durango that had a dead battery in the freezing cold while his wife took the plates off of the car locked it up and drove away. Seriously how do you do that to ANY KIND OF CUSTOMER BAD ONE OR A GOOD ONE!!!! Please people do not deal with these guys.......

Just needed a car to get me through the next few years of school and was sold a complete lemon. 2 months after the purchase and several attempts to contact their dealership to discuss problems I had already seen with the car, it broke down on the side of the freeway. Next thing I know I need $5000 for a new engine. JFM assumed no responsibility and on top of that, called me negligent.
