My cars engine has been smoking after you drive it for just a little a bit so I took it in and they tell me it’s because the coolant is leaking so a week goes by and I get my car back but not only was the engine still smoking coolant was leaking out of there like crazy the car was better off before I took it in

The most honest and reliable mechanics Ive ever brought a vehicle to. I asked that they get used parts for my vehicle due to at the time I was strapped for cash and he was able to find part needed through one of his friends and didnt mark up price for part either (witch on eBay this part used was $380)and only charged me what he paid for it. They also were great with keeping me updated and very kind and easy about giving me peace of mind about whole experience.

These guys are ridiculous. The last 4 out of 5 times Ive been here they havent even charged me anything. Each time it ended up being something small they were able to take care of in just a couple minutes so they didnt even give me a bill. When they do actually charge, it is always fair.Super honest, really good, and our go to for years.

These guys are amazing. Took my car in for replacing a gear shift, and Justin fixed a couple things no extra cost. And, Ive brought my car in to diagnose and fix on my own and theyre really cool about it. Very honest place.

I love this place. I have taken multiple vehicles here and they have always treated me fairly. I know a little about cars and they have never tried to bamboozle me. Dont hesitate to take your vehicle here.The one downside is that the parking is almost always a little tricky getting in and especially getting out.

Had a break job on my Ford Expedition. Very fast and fair price. The rotors were shot and they put them on in an afternoon. 2 years later no issues.

They are quick in completing the job and getting it back to me faster than any other auto repair shop. Love it!

These guys are experienced, competent and honest. Recently, I had them do a head gasket on an older car. The cooling fan had broke and rubbed the radiator wrong and put a hole in it. They fixed it (including putting in a new radiator) without charging me extra because they felt responsible for it. Every time I take a car in to get Safety and Emissions done, they fit me right in and Dustin takes extra time to tweak the adjustments to make it pass. They have great rates and do upstanding work. Highly recommend.

Only one of 3 people in utah county I trust

Took my car here because it was having trouble starting. They seemed busy but were able to get to my car in a day. They called me back and gave me a straight forward quote on the labor and parts to fix my car. Unfortunately, I just finished doing some major repairs on my car a few months ago and Im getting married in 2 weeks so more car repairs isnt in the budget right now so my fiancee offered to try and fix the problem himself. I was incredibly surprised when I asked Dustin at McAuto how much we owed for the diagnostics and he said nothing. Last time I went to a different auto repair place in provo to get my starting system looked at and they charged me $80 for diagnostics alone (it ended up just being a bad battery). It seems like McAuto has a great reputation for fairness and honesty and my experience can only add to that reputation. I know the first place Im going to for any future auto repairs.

Ignore what Nicole says. She has no idea what she is talking about. My father is a retired diesel mechanic. I grew up working on cars with him. Knowing what I know about cars, I can tell you that Nicole got taken if it cost her $600 to replace an alternator, or if she expected McAuto to catch a bad alternator. If the alternator is charging at the time its tested, its working properly. Period! Its not McAutos fault if it decided to die during the trip. Alternators go out. Expect to replace them at least a couple times during the life of a car. Also, batteries wont stop holding a charge because its the wrong size. It makes no sense WHY McAuto would give her a smaller battery. If they didnt have one in stock, they could have one in 45 minutes from one of their local suppliers. I think Nicole is just upset because she had some car problems (that couldnt be detected before) at an inconvenient time. Welcome to the life of car ownership, Nicole.Now, about McAuto... Like I said, I was raised by a mechanic. Im also a total motor head. I wouldnt trust anyone but McAuto to work on my cars. They are very honest. Ive taken several cars in to them, expecting the worst, and come out with only minor (cheap) fixes. Dont let the neighborhood, or the look of their shop push you away. This is the best shop in Utah County. I recommend all my friends and co-workers to them. Nobody has ever had anything bad to say about them. Some of my friends have even taken their cars to super cheap mechanics just to save money. They always end up spending more, because they have to take it back to McAuto to get it fixed properly. Keep up the good work McAuto!
