Up close appointments during a pandemic can be a tricky thing but this staff made my family feel safer here than we have at any other doctors office we have visited all year. The staff was kind, patient with children, attentive to our needs and helped us successfully find my child’s rx and a great pair of frames in 30 minutes. I am thrilled!

This was my second time getting checked up. Dr. Tong and her team have been amazing and helpful. Dr. Tong is thorough on the examination and is compassionate about clients’ eyes. A place I would recommend going to get an eyes checkup.

I had a wonderful experience at Foster Vision. I felt like the doctor took her time and even did a test I hadn’t had done before and told me what lenses would help with a problem that hadn’t been identified prior. I had refraction done a few months ago elsewhere and it was rushed and I ended up with a prescription that was too strong. I didn’t feel rushed at all here and felt like they cared about getting me the correct prescription. I see better than I have in a long time and am very grateful for that. I have gone to different clinics since I moved here but now I plan to stay with Foster Vision.

This was the best visit to an optometrist that Ive ever experienced. And, this includes visits to a optometrist friend and another to an optometrist that was a client of my accounting firm. The front desk staff is welcoming, the technician efficient and the doctor competent and took questions with a smile. The visit went quickly, but wasnt rushed. The fee charged, to me: a bargain. Ill definitely be returning.

I am not one to write reviews. If I dont like a place, I stop going. If I do, I become a loyal customer. However, I was treated so well at Foster Vision, I felt remiss not bringing it up. I was having terrible migraines due to me not being able to see near. They not only fixed the problem but were so kind and generous throughout the entire process. Lets just say if I had inherited all of the money in the world, I would still come to this place. Not a doubt in my mind.

This place tried charging me twice for my glasses and went in today to get new glasses and they sent us to another place because there short handed. Never going back

The process of setting up an appointment as a new patient was very straightforward and easy to get started. I felt that the health protocols in place were excellent. They do a great job of making sure your health and comfort is addressed while also delivering a communicative and well-informed visit.

3-22-21 1:25 pm. Walked in. 3 employees doing nothing. Went to desk, asked if I could get glasses and contacts. Im the only customer, was handed a card. The employee stated I was to call their scheduling department. What the Hell! Cash aint king enough? 3 people standing around holding the walls up. Yeah, I went down 82nd. Got 2 pairs and contacts today. Aint Rodeo Drive ladies its south paw Portland

When the pandemic hit, my usual vision clinic was limiting services severely, so I looked elsewhere. I am so happy to have found Foster Vision! They were very professional, friendly, communicative, and they followed strict safety protocols. I signed up to receive a rebate for contact lenses, and when I had trouble getting a response back from Acuvue, Foster Vision helped tremendously. They even called the company on my behalf, and I was able to get my rebate. I would recommend their services to anyone, and plan to head back there again when my renewal comes up!

These people are the best! Been going here for years and I can always count on excellent customer service as well as an easy to understand definition of how my eyesight is doing and changing. I highly recommend them!

Everyone at foster vision is nice & friendly. I was able to call and schedule an appointment for the next day. They ask you to wash hands after going in and they def keep the place sanitized and clean.I took one star out cause I felt they were not very transparent about pricing. When I called they asked if I wanted an eye exam for frames + contacts. I said yes cause I wear both. But they didn’t inform me that the contacts exam was extra $$. So I ended up paying 3x more because of that. I don’t think they did anything special to justify the extra fee for the contacts. Anyways. This place is good just be sure to ask about the cost of everything.

Previously, Id purchased some difficult to find frames from Foster and had the claim processed through my insurance. Purchased the lenses locally, also using my insurance. No problem. This year, even after acknowledging that they had checked with my insurance and verified that the frame-only purchase was covered, they refused to order my frames unless I also ordered the lenses from them. I felt like I was being coerced into buying the lenses from them. Took my business elsewhere.

I took my child to Foster Vision for her very first eye exam. The staff was very nice and Dr. Tong was very patient and thorough. They take Covid procedures very seriously which I appreciate very much. We will come back here.

This is a very nice, clean office. It was easy to set up an appt and they sure made sure I was aware when it was(2 confirmation texts, an email and a call!)I am a little surprised that in all that communication they didnt mention that on top of the mask you wear, they will also make you wear an additional mask. I wore a heavy mask to begin with and it made the appointment unbearable for me, to the point that I was unable to pick out frames afterward.I have worked throughout the pandemic as a stylist so I understand protocall and everyones safety is my top concern, but for someone with chronic anxiety and clothing binding issues to begin with that make one mask a challenge, two was just over the top and gave me a full blown anxiety attack. I recommend this office if two masks is not a deal breaker, but I will not be going back during the pandemic.

I called to set up a appointment and got quoted 220 dollars for an exam and 3 pairs of contact lenses. I called one other place and found the best little eye shop in town, check my other reviews. I cancel my appointment with Foster Vision, five minutes later I got called back by Marie for what I can only define as an interrogation. This went on for at least 10 minutes, why did I cancel, where am I going instead, offering more pairs of trial contacts. It was very odd and off-putting. I know times are very rough, I dont like writing bad reviews but this really made me uncomfortable. I wouldnt go there for all the free trial lenses in the world.

This place is a rip off! They wrote the wrong prescription and made me feel like I was in error. Since I had been in the year before I thought it was nice enough to go back. Everything went downhill from there.

I haven’t had an eye exam in many years, and this experience does not match my memory! They were easily prepared to deal with my eye issues and I put contacts in for the first in my life. Super helpful, great staff. So grateful I got in so quickly too!

My daughter and I both went in for glasses only (no exam). The front desk staff is either too inexperienced, or too ignorant, about the fees - I asked for the price of lenses, and one gal said $80, but the other had to jump in and correct her after she looked over and saw my Rx was severe, meaning I could have wasted a significant amount of time looking for frames only to have another $130 tacked on top the price forcing me to start my frame search over to adjust for the increased cost. They tried to slide in add-ons (coating) for my daughter without explaining what the charges were, and would have charged her without me jumping in. Neither I nor my daughter were offered a receipt after I paid for her co-pay (I was offered a receipt as we had separate transactions). We both felt rushed during our appointment. All in all not a good experience, and we will not be back.ETA: So Ive had my $400 glasses for about a month now and... I need new glasses. Had their front office staff been knowledgeable, they might have told me that these frames were too big for my face, and that the weight of my lenses would be problematic while wearing, and that the shape of the thick lenses would distort my face as you looked at me from the front, and then suggest frames that would work for my prescription as one would expect from an opticians office. However, they were not knowledgeable, so now I need new glasses that will actually work for me.

Ive worn glasses for over a decade. As a first time patient here, I have to say that these are THE BEST pair of glasses I have ever gotten. My doctor was meticulous during the exam and the end result was a nearly perfect new prescription. There was no acclimation or adjustment period. And the frames are super cute!

I stopped in to browse frames because I had been all over town looking for frames I liked. Right upon walking in I was asked if there was something specific I’d like to try in a very unwelcoming manner. I said I’d just walked in and hadn’t gotten a chance to look yet. She stood at my heals while I tried to browse. Feeling very uncomfortable I said I’d let her know if there was anything I’d like to try to drop a hint. She remained at my heels as I looked at all the frames. I felt like I didn’t belong there or something. Super uncomfortable. Had I have found frames I liked, I would have tried to find them elsewhere because that place is not getting my money. Told her thanks for making me feel like a criminal on my way out. I’d give 0 stars if I could.

I visited during the first few weeks of the Covid-19 Pandemic. They were very professional, prompt & safe. Masks were required on employees & clients. Limited clients were in the business at one time & the first thing they had me do was wash & sanitize my hands. Everyone i talked to was polite & helpful & i am fully satisfied with my new glasses.My only complaint was that the whole place smelled like farts. It was brutal at first, but then i got used to it. I still recommend Foster Vision... farting is natural. Hopefully they just open a window or something next time if its an all day thing.

Extremely accommodating front staff and very helpful and nice easy, they were able to get me the next day when I called around the closing time and even looked up my information as it was new to me and called me back extremely good customer service! The optometrist was just as nice and very informative with my questions. They have a great selection of glasses of all sorts even an local option. Staff is very friendly and communicate clearly. Space is clean and conveniently located. Dr. Chung is very nice, took great care of me without rushing, and shared helpful reviews and advice regarding new glasses and contact lenses on the market. She also sent me home with a lot of sample lenses to test, a couple different kinds of solution to test, discussed rebates available and gave excellent customer service. The staff went over every detail of my insurance and one even picked out my glasses lenses for me! They also gave me some sunglasses in case my dilated pupils caused sensitivity to light when I left the office. I feel so well cared for and grateful to have found this group of great ladies!

This is our 3rd year coming here. They treat us right. They dont rush us and gave us many options. They work with the insurance and help us navigate our cost. We came in for one pair and loved it so much we bought two pairs each.

Came for exam and my son broken glasses. Dr recommended a new glasses for him. She promised one week to get the new glasses ready to pickup and 3 weeks for replacement the broken one. The 1st one was late. Dr and staff had apologized about it. The 2nd was almost on time as promised. My son is happy with his new glasses. It’s good overall.

I took my 11 year old twin boys in for an eye exam and the doctor and staff were great! Very friendly and welcoming!! My sons are quiet silly and the doctor and staff were very patient and joked and laughed along with them. Great experience, we will be coming back next year!!

Yesterday was my very first time ever going here. I saw Marielle and she was absolutely amazing. She is very very sweet and fun to be around. Its a small little clinic, but very welcoming. The assistants were fantastic too. Lets just say, my crawling 1 yr old loved it so much she started walking on her own there. They were just as excited as I was, it was like they instantly became family. Ive never felt so welcomes at any eye doctors as i did here.

The experience continues...Its been about a year since I last needed any eye health/help and at this point in my life money is a little tighter than it has been in the past. I mention this because there tends to be a Us vs. Them mentality when we, as consumers, go into a businesses these days. Were continually looking out for the best deal and just hoping that customer service comes along with it. Often enough, its about the dollar....With that being said, Fosters Vision has proven to me time and again that its worth my hard earned money to bring my business here. Theres no Us vs. Them, they have continued to provide, above and beyond, customer service that makes me feel like my eye health / interests are a priority.From one stranger to the next, come and find out what Im talking about. Theyre worth your time and business!

Doctors are super nice here, they explain everything in terms you can understand (English is my second language). The staff were very helpful and nice.

I was really pleased with my experience here. Everyone was very friendly and I didnt experience any pushy sales people. I also messed up my prescription the first time they were made and they remade the correct ones for free.

Very expensive, try to push you to spend more money, send out notifications to pick stuff up and then dont have your stuff, the doctor rushs you out to get to next patient. All around very bad experience.

I know everything has changed with Covid. I felt rushed to find a pair of glasses because people were waiting outside. I was frustrated, you were frustrated. But if each customer is only alloted a certain amount of time for their appointment maybe you should tell them when they schedule the appointment rather than making a rude remark about the customer going over their time.

I personally LOVE my experience at Foster Vision. Sometimes the office is busy, but I understand that is out of their control and they make sure I am seen in a timely manner. The staff and doctor always take the time to make me feel I am receiving the best care possible. I am glad that I chose Foster Vision to provide care for me. It was very good service. When I told the doctor I was in a hurry, after she put drops in my eyes to dilate them, she put me in a room without the lights on and the door open half way to help them. They were all very friendly. And had a good selection of glasses. I look forward to coming back and picking up my glasses.

The customer service was great and attentive however I was pressured into spending more money than Id intended. My insurance has never covered vision before so I didnt know how it worked, and I was constantly being told the lenses where free and not told about the price of the glasses until I pulled out my card. They also tried to convince me to have my pupils dilated when I was not planning to have a full exam and had nobody to drive me home.The people who work here are great and took good care of me, but I felt their number one concern was pressuring me to spend as much as possible, rather than keeping me truly informed about what I needed.

My first visit here was last Saturday. The staff were all extremely kind and patient and I was very satisfied with my care. They went above and beyond to help me and others while I was there. They have a great selection of frames. I was prescribed some eye drops and ended up having an issue with the cost pharmacy on Saturday after they had closed. Dr. Viestenz made sure to call me back on Monday and get me a cheaper alternative and let me know about an app to find cheaper prescription costs. Super helpful!
